In the scene when the protagonist, Taeko, picks safflower, the Bulgarian song 'Malka Moma Dvori Mete' plays in the background. In my interpretation, she's picking rose petals in the Bulgarian Rose Valley. 🌹

Just saw the Boy and the Heron.

The character of the Grey Heron is an absolute freak of nature, and i mean that in the most positive way i can, and I can't believe they seriously found out a way to make PARAKEETS out of all animals terrifying.

10/10 score. Just a wonderful film.
