Duckvember - Inner and Childhood Duck (Ducks) - Tribute to Fairy Tales - Duckverse in Fairy Tales

I drew this in honor of one of my favorite fairy tales I listened to in my early childhood, and also in honor of one of the best animated movies I've ever seen. Dedicated to both American and Soviet animation.

One drawing represents Hans Christian Andersen's fairy tale "The Snow Queen" (from 1844), which received an animated adaptation in the Soviet Union (then Russia) on November 1, 1957 as "The Snow Queen" (Снежная королева). Donald and his sister Della play Kai and Gerda (as kids), while Magica de Spell plays the Snow Queen, so I drew her more like an ice queen than she really is Magica. And Donald would be a good role for Kai considering his behavior. I recommend reading that fairy tale as well as watching that movie.

The second drawing represents the Grimm brothers' fairy tale "Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs" (from 1812), which received an animated adaptation by Walt Disney and his animators in 1937. Although it's the first feature length animated film, it's still for me one of the best animated films I've seen that really represents a revolution in animation. What I've drawn is more of a Disney version than an actual version of the fairy tale, but the roles I've assigned go with it. Donald is Prince Charming, Daisy Duck is Snow White, Magica de Spell is the Evil Queen (Queen Grimhilde), while Donald's nephews and Daisy's nieces and Gyro's nephew Newton are dwarfs. Huey is Grumpy, April is Bashful, Dewey is Doc, May is Sleepy, Louie is Happy, Newton is Sneezy and June is Dopey. And then there's Ratface, who is Magic's pet, since the Evil Queen also has a crow as her pet. And yes, the love couple between Donald and Daisy as well as between Snow White and the Prince have a lot of similarities. :D And yes, I don't like that they are doing a live-action of Snow White, the animated version will remain the best.

Gerda headcanons

I don't remember, when and why I wrote that, so I'm posting them, so I can erase it from my file.

Gerda:

Gerda learned to be a tough girl at the orphanage.

Gerda defended the weak and the weird ones.

Gerda found Luta as a cub out on the snow.

Gerda was treated like trash by the housemaster.

Gerda still was sympathetic with foreigners, despite their behavior.

Gerda believes in the good of everybody.

Luta made Gerda’s life more tolerable.

Gerda was interested in the new boy Kai, cause he reminded her of her younger brother. (Maybe, because it was 😀)

Along with Alfida Gerda would stand up for Kai to defend his art skills.

Gerda once suggested Kai to paint for cash, but he didn’t like that idea.

Gerda and Kai escaped the orphanage, cause both couldn’t take it to life there.

Gerda made plans on how both would survive together. The most recent idea was telling their stories to school kids for money.

Gerda’s favorite season is spring. She loves variations of flowers that grow around.

Gerda likes to read and write.

Gerda used to have a diary as a teenager but lost it during the constant moving.

Gerda „gave up her life“ to take care of herself and Kai.

Kai was the reason for Gerda to move on with their lives.

Gerda knew Kai was in love with Alfida and would make him suggestions on how to move on. Kai feared rejection and preferred to be single for now.

Orm, Kai and Alfida are Gerda’s closest friends.

Gerda with the time gets desperate with their life state, but doesn’t want to bother Kai with it.

Gerda grows interested quickly, upon meeting Rollan.

Gerda learns from Rollan how to take her life easy and enjoy the bits of freedom she receives.

Gerda helped Rollan understand, he’s worthy and doesn’t need to listen to other people besides himself. People were jealous of his bravery and talent.

Gerda admires Rollan’s charm and character.

Gerda despises Rollan after the scene with the Fire King.

Gerda had dreams of how Rollan has always been a good boy but was manipulated to be evil.

Her parents helped her get over Rollan’s issue.

Gerda’s love for Rollan slowly vanished.

Gerda babysat Arrog’s triplets sometimes.

Gerda’s family met the royal troll family one day.

Gerda grows sad as all her family members have magic powers beside her. She’s mainly depressed, cause her puberty is almost over and she didn’t get anything yet.

Gerda upon encountering Rollan again, she had instantly all her good and bad moments pass through her mind.

Gerda upon getting closer with Rollan again, she was innerly happy to know he was alive.

Her positive side of her heart led her to save Rollan.

Gerda wanted immediately to get rid of Rollan, but his amnesia confused her.

Gerda softened for Rollan as he had shown her sincerity and loyalty. She began to accept him into her life again.

Gerda will always convince Kai, why she knows Rollan is good.

As Dragon-Gerda she watches over Rollan.

Gerda has joy „hunting“ Rollan as a dragon.

She likes to be in her dragon form to use it in a way of domination. She mostly enjoys to show her wild side.

When Gerda is up to marry Rollan, she adopts his last name.

Gerda learned a couple of Spanish words with Rollan. She admires the language very much and wishes to be able to communicate with Rollan that way as well.

Gerda is a good teacher.

Снежная Королева (2012)

Решил я тут дать шанс мультфильмам про Снежную Королеву и посмотреть первую часть. Ожидания у меня были очень низкие и ничего хорошего я не ожидал... но тем не менее мультик оказался смотрибельным. Но и только. От сказки Андерсена здесь не так и много осталось, хотя казалось бы все персонажи и локации на месте. Но здесь Кай и Герда живут в приюте и о своем родстве узнали случайно (а ведь в оригинале родственниками они все-таки не были). Никакой льдинки в глаз и с��рдце Кая не попадало, его похитили по приказу Снежной Королевы, потому что он наследник стеклодува, да и за Гердой тоже идет охота - ее должен привести носатый и бестолковый тролль по имени Орм, который умеет превращаться в черную ласку... которая не то, чтобы сильно отличается от дизайна самого тролля. От красивой и изящной сказки Андерсена и другий прекрасных адаптаций ничего не осталось. Здесь любимую белую ласку Герды насаживают по самое небалуй на форму для пошива варежек, здесь - в мультфильме с рейтингом 0+ - звучит фраза “Шевели помидорами”. А еще у каждого женского персонажа, кроме Снежной Королевы, как бы это помягчк выразиться... очень объемная запазуха, будто это порно-мультфильм какой-то. Женщина-цветочница, которая очаровала Герду, чтобы сделать ее своей дочкой? Нет, теперь это старушка - с объемной запазухой - которая хочет делать деньги на своих цветах. Принцесса и принц, который, как думала Герда, может оказаться Каем? Просто вздорные брат и сестра, которые ссорятся со своим отцом-королем, которого озвучивает Стоянов. Да и сама Снежная Королева обзавелась ориджином и вообще она не виновата, что такая. Но при всем при этом... если не обращать внимание на пероисточник, великолепнейший советский мультфильм, сказку Шварца, неплохой фильм шестидесятых и сказку на пластинке, а еще необычный фильм с Фрейндлих... если все это забыть, а еще лучше не знать вовсе... то мультфильм не так уж и плох для юной и несведущей аудитории. Вполне себе интересный приключенческий мульт. Но без искры, без изюминки. Без волшебства и филигранного сказочного сюжета. Последующие части возможно посмотрю (там вроде и графика стала поприличнее), но точно еще нескоро. Потому что мне как-то захотелось пересмотреть советский мультфильм - там одна Снежная Королева, ледяная, прекрасная и погибельная, чего стоит. Куда тут этой швабре с лицом Белого Ходока...

В театре «Уголок дедушки Дурова» поставили сиквел «Снежной королевы»

В театре «Уголок дедушки Дурова» всегда добрые, поучительные и невероятно душевные и теплые спектакли для всей семьи. Театрально-цирковые постановки «Уголка» давно уже стали эталоном детских представлений и вырастили ни одного поколение москвичей. Радует зрителей и не только содержание и зрелищность постановок, но и демократичная цена билетов.

Не стал исключением и спектакль для всей семьи «По следам Снежной королевы». Авторы решили немного дополнить и развить сюжет. По их задумке Кай и Герда уже давно выросли, а на смену им противостоять злой Снежной короле пришли отважные и добрые Гай и Берта. Снежная королева угрожает народам Севера. Она разбила Северное сияние на мелкие осколки и скоро весь Север может погрузиться во тьму. Непростой и полный опасностей путь предстоит проделать юным героям, много препятствий встретить на пути. Помогать преодолевать их будут четвероногие, ластоногие и пернатые актеры «Уголка»: хаски, вороны, пудели, морские котики, лайки, собаки, кошки, голуби, петух, гусь, олени и рыси. Они принимают участие в спектакле наравне с актерами, поражая своим мастерством. 

Костюмы, потрясающие артисты, чудеса дрессуры и поучительный добрый сюжет настолько захватывают, что 1 час 40 минут пролетают буквально незаметно. Показы постановки пройдут в феврале, но покупать билеты лучше уже сейчас. Спектакль идет на Большой сцене «Уголка дедушки Дурова» и количество свободных мест в зале буквально улетучивается.
