Autism has been activated anyways so basic summary of sanji’s childhood: (spoilers ahead of course for WCI)

He was born a quadruplet with ichiji, nini, and yonji, reiju already being 3 years old at the time of their birth and all of them were an experiment to try and create essentially superhumans, and for the quadruplets that had a surgery done when they were in the womb to remove their emotions. Sora, Sanji’s mother, was against the procedure but was forced to have it done anyways and so in retaliation she drank poison to try and counteract the procedure but it only worked for sanji and Sanji was born a “normal” child with high ammounts of empathy and kindness.

As they grew up, Sora was forbidden to see her kids though sanji still snuck out to see her anyways, bringing her bentos he had cooked though he was never very good at it, meanwhile his brothers and father relentlessly berated him for liking cooking as it wasnt becoming of a ruthless germa prince, leading to many beatings.

Eventually, it was revealed to Judge that sanji’s genes were completely normal, so Judge gave him the iron helmet and locked him in the dungeon proclaiming him to be dead to the germa kingdom, meanwhile his siblings found him and gave him daily beatings.

While in the dungeon, Sanji occupied his time with books and practicing his cooking skills, learning about the all blue from a book and dreaming about becoming a chef and occasionally talkingwith reiju who patched him up after his brother’s harsh beatings.

Eventually, the kingdom of Germa’s fleet crossed the red line from the north blue to the east blue for war, allowing a chance for Sanji to escape his prison as Reiju used her superhuman strength to bend the bars, instructing him as to the location of the key for his helmet.

He was able to reach the key, only to run face to face with judge who essentially disowned him right then and there and allowed him to run away to which Sanji ran to a docked cruise ship, traveling with them for approximately one year before that ship was attacked by Zeff’s crew and Sanji and Zeff were stranded on a rock for nearly 3 months, starving half to death and eventually starting the baratie together after the ordeal.
