But why have Snoopy fans on Twitter become so obnoxious nowadays when it comes to comes to obvious jokes?

It’s so bizarre but more than once before I saw someone makes a small tweet just like “haha Snoopy’s doing drugs” and tons of quotes will be people jumping at them?

Like the internet makes jokes abt cartoon characters doing non-innocent stuff literally all the time (and the OG tweet is pretty tame tbh) yet now if it’s Snoopy suddenly thousands of quotes jumping at them like “WTF Snoopy would NEVER DO THIS, he likes friendship and love LEAVE HIM ALONE and KYS you DEGENERATE SCUM!!”

Honestly Ngl, everyone’s always making posts online questioning the cartoon logic of antho animal characters going to the zoo, or having non-antho pets (like the jokes abt Goofy and Pluto)

But if you think abt it, what makes equally no sense if you think abt it too hard as well that nobody talks abt as much,

What abt cartoon pet characters who are sentient with human-like intelligence (even ones that are anthro enough to walk and write and stuff) but are still separated from their parents to be sold to pet owners, even if they don’t want to?

I know I know it’s literally a cartoon where you’re not supposed to think abt it, but still sometimes I do think abt it

Like for example, in Snoopy’s Reunion (the cartoon of the GIF above) and in other comic strips of Peanuts, Snoopy has many moments where he expresses that he misses his parents and hated to be sold away.

(I can’t really remember at the top of my head, but I’m pretty sure there’s other cartoons similar to this, just using Peanuts as an example)

Like what are they slaves? This is just a normal thing for all pets to go through? Snoopy can type/write, couldn’t the mom try to write to the farmer to stop him (it might not work tho) ? Idk I’ve overthinking this lol

Honestly I genuinely don’t want to sound like a huge loser or asshole over ppl having fun or think Snoopy is cute, I’m really not,

But at the same time…can the next internet cute little guy get popular already? Kinda starting to get sick of seeing Snoopy everywhere lmao.

I mean don't get me wrong, I’ve always been a big fan of Peanuts and I know the franchise has always praised as this iconic pop culture icon, but let’s be real, it used to barely even be popular with with any young teens (or any I knew) at all until nowadays lol

And with this big Snoopy boom that suddenly came out of nowhere, I'd always love for Peanuts to get more love from people around my age, aside from stuff like the Christmas special there's tons of other comics/movies/musicals that are kinda underrated that need more love.

But that’s not really what’s happening, all you see now online is just SNOOPY SNOOPY SNOOPY 24/7. And outside of a handful of strips/clips, it’s literally almost always the same ten pics of either Snoopy being cute or baby Snoopy being posted over and over tbh. But normally I don’t really mind or care abt this in its own tho, but some fans are kinda getting hypocritical ngl.

Like you could call Lucy or Peppermint Patty bitches all you want online, make violent parodies where they get beat up by CB as “revenge” yet say you hate Snoopy or acknowledge that he isn’t some soft, always innocent, precious angel even as a joke, and now you’ll get tons of fans flocking to you ganging up on you like

“NOO literally KYS!! How DARE YOU SAY THIS abt our precious NOOPY!!” when you know for a fact none of these gen z TikTok fans were caring abt boomer cartoons like the Peanuts this much a couple years ago let’s be real lol like it's so weird.

Dude, she's a sad little girl who was sick in the hospital, serisously?

And in the movie she gave him the choice to go to CB, Snoopy was at first going to leave to CB, but he saw her in the window and ran back to her, making her think Snoopy was going to stay with her

(And even tho he ends up staying with CB, he did make the choice to stay with Lila before then).

I’m watching Snoopy come home, and holy shit Lila is a selfish and horrible person.

Essentially she’s like “I know you have a owner, but I want you to come back and live with me.”

And the moment Snoopy gives in her tears are instantly gone and she’s all “go back to your old owner and say bye and put your affairs in order and them hurry right back here.”

Like no. You had to give Snoopy up. You can’t just come back and be like “poor me I’m sick I want my old dog back!”
