omgggggg
Bakugou x reader
cw: nothing, a bunch of angst and pining, sfw drivel
-
He likes it when you pet his hair. He also likes it when you tell him you’ll marry him someday.
It’s unconventional. The secret conversations you keep while you try to work out why you’re here and how long it will be for. An incident from your time in the future — a time travel quirk.
You assume it can’t be permanent, but even if it is, there’ll be ways to reverse it. You just had to see him first. It was stupid, you said at his door.
“I recognised the street. Saw the date on a newspaper. Remembered you used to live around here.”
“Used to?” He looks at you like you’re crazy, hair a mess and standing on his doorstep in your hero suit. And you make space for humility as you shake your head with a self-deprecating smile —
“I don’t know why I thought this was a good idea. I know it’s too soon.” You keep talking, saying things that don’t make sense to him, and you know that he isn’t clued in on the context like you. “I guess I’m just used to coming to you for help by now. Habit or something.”
“Since when have you ever asked me for anythin’?”
“Since we — uh. It doesn’t matter. I should go.”
You turn to walk away, down the long hallway of his apartment complex and back towards the elevators. You’d walked this route to and from his place so many times before, revisiting it was all nostalgia for the beginning of your relationship. Bittersweet, knowing at this point of your timeline, none of that had yet begun.
“Wait. What help did you need?”
“Would you believe me if I told you?”
“Yeah. If you’re giving me the truth.”
“I wouldn’t come all this way to tell a lie.”
That’s how it begun. That night, you were sitting on his sofa and telling him that you got sent back in time while on a mission, and you urgently needed to get back. And he — well, you got along and you trusted him. At least, you would eventually, from his perspective.
He asked you about the future. You couldn’t say much, afraid to mess up the events that were supposed to happen. Altering things too much would be messy, right? He could understand that.
“So, do we team up at some point?”
You bite your lip. You didn’t know how much was right to tell him, and it was hard to hold back. Sitting so close to your not-husband years before you even started dating, wondering what he would think if you said the whole truth. About how much you loved him, about how good he was to you, about your life together in your shared home.
“Something like that.”
But the more nights you’re there, waiting for your time there to run out so you can return to the moment you left behind, the more you feel yourselves getting comfortable. Forgetting, for a while, that you were supposed to be elsewhere.
You let yourself get taken in by him, for the first time all over again. And you recall the days when you first started dating, and you turn soft when you watch him and thinking about how a younger version of you is walking around in the world right now, somewhere else, completely oblivious. And how she will get to someday soon experience all those cherished memories you hold dear.
He surprises you, one night. You’ve had maybe a bit too much wine with your dinner, and he’s tired from work. The words come easier than they normally would for him.
“I’ve liked you for ages, y’know. Glad we get to work together in the future.”
“Me too.”
“Did I ever tell you that? In the future, I mean.”
“Tell me what?”
“Tch. That I like you.”
“Yeah. You might have mentioned that.”
His eyes seem to burn hot when he’s looking at you. “Did I fuck up sayin’ it?”
“No. You were direct, as you always are.”
“Hm.” He nods, satisfied. Then he asks again, “What about you? Did you go on a date with me, or did you shoot me down?”
“I don’t think we should talk about what happens, should we? Fucking up the timeline and all that?”
“Then don’t tell me details. Jus’… you trust me, right?”
“With my life.” You can’t stop yourself from reaching out to him. You’ve been craving it, but you’ve been too afraid to freak him out. To mess with the timeline. His hair feels just as it always does under your palm, soft. “Yeah. It was a nice first date.”
“Shit, more than one?”
His shock amuses you. It’s endearing in the quiet of his apartment, as you whisper as if there’s someone nearby who might overhear these secrets.
“Mhm.”
He grunts. “I think… I think I can wait. If you say it’s gonna happen.”
It still surprises you how he can be so gentle. Even married to the man, seeing this side to him comes like new every time, and each time makes you happy that he trusts you enough to not always have on an act of bravado.
“It will,” you promise. “One day, I’ll marry you.”
It’s weeks before you finally disappear. You’re just gone, without a word, when he comes to wake you for breakfast one morning. And from that moment on, it’s like a dream to him. One that feels so vivid until it’s over, fading more and more until he can’t remember what he even saw anymore. Something about you, that much is for sure.
He clings onto his hope, even as the faith that he could be around you starts to fade. You weren’t real. How could it have been that easy? How could he miss you this much already?
The day when he’s teaming up with you for the first time, he can’t help his heart from beating so hard in his chest. So close, and yet so far away from you.
And when the time feels right, when all is said and done, and you’re both safe and sharing a respect for one another, he tells you he likes you. It’s brief, and it’s awkward, and you pat him on the shoulder, tell him you like him too, brush him off like it was nothing.
So he tries it again. And again, and again, and again.
And you don’t get the hint, and then you reject him. And he can’t believe what you’re saying to him.
Maybe you did mess up the timeline when you told him. Maybe he’s too nervous or too confident that you would say yes, too sure that you’ll agree to this date. But you say no, over and over, and he just doesn’t get it.
The more time that passes, the more he thinks his time is running out to win you over. He’s almost the age you were back then. He wonders how he can change your mind, how he can be the one you want before it’s too late for his chance.
But he gives up, certain that something went wrong.
It isn’t until you’re both at the age you were when you came to him on that night, from the future, that he has the courage — and the rage — to visit you once more.
“Oi. Was that some kind of joke?”
And you haven’t spoken in a year, so what joke could he mean? You’re confused, rightfully so.
“That last mission — did you or did you not get sent back in time?”
“Bakugou?”
“You lied to me. You said you’d marry me. So what the fuck kind of sick joke was that?”
“I don’t know what you’re talking about. There was no time travel, or whatever you think happened. And when did I ever say something like that?”
The embarrassment is sore, searing through his chest. It hurts, shame and confusion tearing into him like a beast untamed.
What he doesn’t know is that the you that spoke sweetly to him was from the future, but from a timeline that was never his to begin with. You were an alternate universe version of yourself that told the truth, you just told it to the wrong Bakugou.
This him, and this you — you were never going to end up together.

Please keep the island of Hawai‘i in your thoughts.
The volcano Mauna Loa has entered a yellow zone, meaning residents should be prepared for an eruption. Keep the residents of Hawai‘i in your thoughts and in your heart.
Many residents will not be able to flee, tickets are expensive, homes cannot be left. This situation is delicate and will bring much stress in the coming days. Tourists will flee, but many of my people will be stuck here, with no money or place to go, trapped in the middle of the ocean.
There is not much we can do now, however soon, soon there will be relief funds needed.
Just please keep your eye on my people, and do not forget us.

hello everyone. very unfortunately, and unexpectedly, my mom passed away from covid on december 20th. because of this, my younger brother and myself are currently having to depend on other relatives that we aren’t all that close to and that don’t always necessarily have our best interest, for food, shelter, etc.
me, my brother and my mother had been living in an apartment in arizona, but for whatever reason, i guess since i am under the age of 21, after my mom passed at the hospital, the county told me that if we did not go to stay with family, that my younger brother would be placed in foster care. either way, we didn’t want to stay in the apartment that we had so many memories with our mother in and then had to resuscitate her at until paramedics arrived, so we left the apartment to stay with one of my uncles ex wife’s in las vegas, which i now regret because i am receiving no help from family with arranging my mother’s funeral or getting the things i need such as clothing. my “aunt” has gotten us food stamps which i appreciate, but they are on her terms, meaning she is keeping the food stamp card because she thinks we will misuse the food money??
anyway, i have two weeks to get back to arizona so that i can clear our things out of the apartment, throw things out and/ or place them in storage before the landlord removes our things herself and i will have to get them through the court system which would be a great inconvenience at this time as i am busy dealing with trying to bury my mother. my family here in nevada knows this and has not offered to help get me back there to handle this.
i have no money of my own and have not yet began working because i am dealing with my mother’s arrangements and also looking after my brother. if anyone out of the kindness of their heart would be willing to help my brother and i out even a little during this time, it would be so greatly appreciated!!

The love story Part 3
"You don't sound fine, who were you fighting with anyway?"
"Oh... um no one, why are you here anyways?"
"I just heard your voice and well..." he chuckled. "I just wanted to check if you were okay"
"Oh well thank you, I'm fine, sorry for worrying you"
"No no don't be sorry" he reached his hand out, cupping your cheek. You ferociously broke out into a blushing mess. His hand was warm and rough against your cheek. His big, soft eyes looked into your own, and you felt your knees growing weak.
"I-Izuku...?" you whimpered out.
"Y/n... I have to tell you something" you both leaned closer to each other.
"What i-is it?" it seemed like time slowed down. Like it was only you and him. You placed your hand on his collarbone, he was so warm his skin was so soft. He took a deep breath and brushed a stray hair strand from your face. And it felt so... so... wrong. You gasped and took a step back. It all felt wrong, like you weren't supposed to be that close to him. Like a voice told you it was wrong.
"Are you okay? W-what did I do?" he looked hurt and tried following you, his hands brushing against your arms. You only stepped another step away, and swallowed hard.
"Nothing is wrong... what is it you wanted to tell me?"
"Oh um..." his eyes darted around, he let out a sigh before continuing. "I just wanted to ask you if you wanted to get takoyaki next week" you hesitated, it felt a bit too much. "Just to catch up! You promised we would be friends you know?" he let out a nervous smile, to which you only let out a nervous giggle.
"Yes, of course, just let me know when you'er free later, okay?" you gave him a warm smile, slightly tilting your head.
"Yeah.. sure"
You walked past him, slightly patting him on his shoulder. You continued to the girls section of the hot springs. You turned around and saw Izuku walking away, his head hanging low.
Fuck, maybe you fucked it up..?
"Y/N! Where are you!?" Minas voice called out, impatience lacing her words.
"Yeah I'm coming!" you called back, already on your way to the other girl.
Arriving there, you sat down next to the hotspring. Mina sat with her back to you, leaning back with her eyes closed.
"So... what did lover boy want?" she smirked, sinking deeper into the water.
"I don't know if I just made a huge mistake or not"
"Ooh spill!" she turned around resting her chin on the wall.
"We... I think we almost kissed..."
"Oh my bitch... OH MY BITCH! Y/n I didn't know you had game!"
"I- I don't! Well maybe just a little but... anyways, we were about to kiss, we were so close but then it just felt so... wrong" you cringed, it made no sense what you were trying to say. Thinking Mina was going to be just as confused as you, you were surprised when she nodded.
"Yeah I get that, it was the same with me and you remember that guy? The one with curly hair?" you nodded, you never would forget him, before Mina started to date Eijiro. She briefly dated a curly haired boy, named Kenji, he was so boring, everyone avoided him, even Mina. "Well in the beginning it felt good to kiss him but then... it just felt wrong" she shrugged.
"Yeah well anyways... I think our friendship is ruined now, he looked so hurt..."
"Yeah well that's his problem" she waived her hand. "Lets talk about a certain angry boy" she grinned.
"What about him?" you gave her a confused face, not knowing where this conversation was going.
"He was totally jealous when he heard you were staring at shirtless guys.." she nudged your shoulder, grinning even harder now. You broke out into a stuttering mess.
"W-whaa..? No no! Jealous...? W-whyy..?" you continued to mutter.
"Well~ I know what I saww~" she smirked while she started to braid her hair. "But what do YOU think of him?"
"I don't know... we haven't really talked in like forever so I don't know him" you kicked a little rock next to you.
"I think it's time for you to get to know him then~" she took the first aid kit and was starting to wipe her cuts.
"Here let me" you interrupted her, and took the first aid from her. "Is it? How do I even do that? Do I just walk up to him and say 'hey Bakugou,, I know it's been forever but let's get together!'?" you glared at her.
"Why not? Deku did that and it kinda worked" she shrugged.
"It did kinda word..." you paused. Would it work? "Maybe I could try that..."
"And y'know I'll help you all the way" she smirked and you continued to wash her cuts.

re:union (kataang week 2021) DAY THREE
re:union
chapter three: the avatar's girl
rating: G
words: 958
summary: "He wrote love letters. He wrote a lot of love letters. He told her how much he missed her, how much he wished she was with him, how much he wished he was with her, how much, how much, how much. He never sent them."
read it on ao3
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Three years.
They loved each other for three years after the war.
Then, for three years after that, they tried, tried, tried to stop.
The love never went anywhere, though. Not really.
He needed to go. She needed to stay.
She wanted to go with him, but the hospital needed her more.
He wanted to stay with her, but the acolytes needed him more.
Maybe this is for the best, they told each other. Maybe we both need time, space, to grow, to become ourselves. They had been young, everyone was not shy in reminding them, when they had gotten together. Perhaps, they had not yet been fully grown up. (Though, they both knew that this wasn’t true. They were young, yes, but they were grown. Had been grown. Had needed to be grown.)
He left, and she stayed, and they promised not to make any promises to one another. Not yet, not like this.
He wrote letters about his travels and the restoration process. He asked questions about irrigation and economics for Sokka to advise upon. He relayed funny anecdotes about the acolytes and the lemurs and, encouragingly, the newly discovered baby bison. He drew pictures of the views and sent along trinkets he found.
He wrote love letters. He wrote a lot of love letters. He told her how much he missed her, how much he wished she was with him, how much he wished he was with her, how much, how much, how much. He never sent them.
She answered his correspondences quickly, diligently. She’d get Sokka’s input. She’d share the stories with their friends. She’d include her own stories. Of the children she healed and the healers she trained. She pored over every word on every page he wrote. Her fingers tracing the looping scrawl of his handwriting. Wondering if the love, Aang held the multitudes that she read into it.
She went on dates. Four of them, to be precise, each one worse than the last. She was well past marrying age in the water tribes and the northern benders that came to study under her tutelage always asked about her status, seeming shocked that such a talented young woman was still single at 21. She resented the assertion that she was incomplete without a man nearly as much as she resented the fact that she felt incomplete without one, without him.
For all her great accomplishments, for all the ways that she was making a name for herself in her own right, divorcing herself from the lingering title of “the Avatar’s girl,” she knew, in the silence of the night, that it had been one of her proudest titles.
On the first date, with the shy son of a shopkeeper who worked with Lao Beifong, she had been asked about it. The night had been fine, the dinner had been fine, the conversation had been fine. “Wait! Aren’t you the Avatar’s girl?” She hadn’t said no. (It wouldn’t necessarily be the truth.) She had left soon after, citing a stomachache. (It hadn’t necessarily been a lie.)
On the second date, with a young herbalist she knew from the hospital, she had been kissed. She had let him kiss her. He was kind. He was handsome. He held her hand and listened to her speak and told good jokes. He leaned in, she didn’t lean away. It was warm and wet and nothing.
On the third date, with a warrior from the Northern Water Tribe, she had felt his hand on her backside before they had even eaten. She left him frozen in an alley. She bathed twice, trying to erase the invisible mark of him. It felt like infidelity. It felt infuriating.
On the fourth date, with an Earth Kingdom diplomat, she’d fallen asleep in her soup. To be fair, she’d received an unexpected letter from Aang the night before. He was coming back. Cranefish City was being renamed, and he had done what he had sought to do at the temples, and he was coming back.
… I can’t wait to see you. It has been too long.
Love, Aang
She couldn’t figure out if the you was singular or plural. The letter was addressed to her, but they all had been; she was the only one who checked the hawkery regularly enough to be trusted with important correspondence.
Love, Aang
She had stroked her finger over his name for three hours, feeling the indent in the paper where his quill had been. In the morning, she realized that her finger was marked black with ink, the words on the paper nearly rubbed away. She forewent her morning waterbending practice. The ink stain was still on her finger as she strolled down the wide boulevards of Cranefish City with the boring man from Ba Sing Se.
The two months felt, in some ways, longer than the three years had.
She waited. When the cicada-crickets had just started serenading the sleepy streets of the city and the water in the air thrummed heavily around her, he arrived. She was lugging a sack of produce from the market up toward the house in which she had been renting a room when she heard the groan, felt the shadow. The sack dropped from her arms, littering the ground with mangoes and cabbages.
She ran.
He was somehow taller, somehow broader. He had scruff on his face, a deeper sadness in his eyes, a stronger slant to his shoulders.
She wanted to hug him but she couldn't move from the spot.
She stared. Grey, grey, grey. Him.
Her mouth moved, her hand rose, her head was full of fog. A little wave. A little blush. “Hi, Aang.”

The love story Part 2
A/n sooooo hows everybody?? I hope you'er great! The neighbors are wathcing shrek and you can hear it really clearly so im kinda listening while writing which is fun, and deku simpers are gonna love this chapter
Word count: 2171 words
Warnings: just shirtless guys lol
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Arriving at your tent, you'er shocked to say the least. No one other than Midoryia stood outside of your tent. You stopped a few feet away with Mina next to you. You gave her a confused look, she only shrugged as an answer. Midoryia stood with his back to you, he was looking out to the mountains.
"Midoryia? What are you doing here?" you carefully asked him.
When you were younger you became friends with Midoryia. But you soon met Kyoka and drifted apart from Midoryia.
"Ah, Y/n! I wanted to talk to you about uh, something important, if that's okay?" he turned to you and gave you a nervous smile.
"Oh um sure" you turned to Mina and gave her a look. "Can you wait inside for me?" she gave you a quiet 'sure' and went inside your tent. But not before shooting you a look without Midoryia seeing. He then sat down at a nearby bench. You sat down next to him, more than enough space between you two.
"What is it you want to talk about?"
"Oh right... Do you remember when we were younger? How much fun we would have? What happened?" his voice was soft, his eyes too.
"Uhm... I don't know what happened, I met Kyoka and well, we grew apart. But I do remember the fun we had" you answered with your voice soft too.
"Why can't we be friends again? What's stopping us?"
"I-I don't know... but why are you now reaching out? Asking me to be friends again?"
"When I was on the hunting trip, there was a moment were I thought I was going to die actually" he let out a dry chuckle. "I thought about everything, all of my friends, all of my memories, and the ones with you were the strongest. I guess I just got reminded of our friendship and I miss it"
"Oh... oh" you let out a sigh. Not sure about what you expected but feeling a tad disappointed. Midoryia looked at you, and you realized, he had grown a lot. He had strong features, a strong jaw and thick eyebrows. He still had a bit of chubby cheeks left. Small scars littered his face, and they only enhanced his beauty. His eyes, were still big and round. With the most beautiful shade of green, matching his wild hair. Droplets shining in his hair, his shirt drenched from the rain. His muscles could very obviously be seen through his shirt.
"W-what does 'oh' mean..?" he let out a nervous chuckle. He shifted in his seat. His knee grazed yours, and you simply sat and stared at him.
"I mean, that would be great. I've missed you Midoryia" you gave him a bright smile and took his hand. His hand was rough and had scars. He slightly blushed and smiled back.
"If we'er friends again, maybe we can move on from Midoryia, Y/n?"
"Of course... Izuku" he let out a dry chuckle.
"Why not Deku?"
"You know why, I can't"
"Fair enough, but just so you know, you can"
"I-"
"Y/N! Hurry up!" Mina yelled from inside of your tent, you let out a chuckle and stood up.
"I need to get going, unless there is something else?" he joined you and you got taken back a bit. Did he always tower over you that much?
"No, theres nothing else" he watched you. "I have to go but I'll see you later?"
"Sure" you turned to walk to the tent. Before going in, you turned to Izuku. "Bye" you received a smile and a bye in return.
Walking into the tent you had a big smile on your face. You twiddled with your shirt. You didn't notice Mina sitting on your bed with her legs crossed. She had a smug look on her face and her nails tapped on her leg.
"So... 'Izuku' now is it?"
Startled from her sudden appearance, you let out a yelp and jumped at the sound of her voice.
"Don't do that!" you blushed with embarrassment of being caught off guard.
"So... 'Izuku'...? Are you two... you know...?" she wiggled her eyebrows. A smirk on her face as she patted the space next to her. You sat down next to her.
"We'er friends if that's what you mean...?"
"Just friends...?"
"Not just, we haven't been friends in a very long time"
"He's hot, you know?"
"Mina! You have a boyfriend!" you laughed when she turned red with embarrassment.
"Not for me you idiot! For you!" she took a deep breath. "Deku is perfect for you, but if you'er not careful... Your friendship will be ruined" she tilted her head, her eyes soft.
"Izuku and I are just friends, nothing more or less"
"Are you sure you want that?"
"Mina! Enough! We'er here to take care of you, and you'er digging after nothing with Izuku" you chuckled, took her hand and let your thumb draw a circle on the back of her hand.
"Okay, fine fine... Shouldn't I wash up first? I mean I'm all dirty and shit" she wiped some grime off her shoulder.
"Sure... Let me bring the stuff then and patch you up there" you went over to the drawer. And pulled out your first aid kit, along with a new crop top with a pair of harem pants. They were a teal color, with purple small flowers adorning the sides. The top was a tube top with matching puffy transparent sleeves. In the middle of the top, was a big purple flower, its design simple. There were matching slippers. You turned around to Mina and her face lit up with excitement.
"Oh my bitch... is that for me?" she stood up and carefully walked over to you. You simply nodded and she burst out in excitement. "OH MY BITCHES!" she jumped up and down. Side to side, until she stopped to shake you by your shoulders. "I love you Y/N L/N!" she squeezed you harder that ever. You only laughed with her, trying to hug her with all the things in between you two.
You and Mina chatted on your way to the hot springs. You had asked if she just wanted to gather some rain water and bath at your place. She answered with a groan, and muttered a few words like 'lets take a walk idiot' and 'i need hot water'. And when leaving the rain had started to clear up. The normal sun coming out and shining on its people. You were carrying a bag of all the stuff you had brought, the way to the hot springs was a bit longer.
"So Y/n... you and Deku? What's happening?" she smirked and pinched the side of your waist.
"Nothings happening! I'm just happy that he wants to be friends"
"Just friends...? Nothing more?"
"Nothing more"
"Because again like I said... he's ho- omg there he is" Mina pointed at the hot spring pool that was directly in you sight. And there, in the bubbling water, was a bit mop of green hair. The wall in between him and you. It was only through the gaps of the fence where you could see him.
He was leaning back in the water, exposing his chest to you. His muscles was defined, his pecs almost bigger than your boobs. His strong arms were on the back of the pool. Scars littered all over his beautiful body. Wait... Beautiful..? Um no. You blushed when your eyes wandered over to his face. He had blissful expression, his head tilted back. He shifted a bit and let out a groan. Your face getting hotter with every second. It felt wrong to watch him like this, and you eyes couldn't help to travel down his abdomen. Someone clearing their throat pulled you out of your 'fantasy'. You whipped your head around, and glared at Mina with your flustered face.
"Havin' fun, Y/n?" Minas voice sounded just as smug as her expression.
"Oh shut up!" you turned around and marched straight forward. Ignoring how hot your face felt. Mina followed after you laughing.
"Don't be embarrassed! Y/n there's nothing wrong with wanting to take a sneak peek!" Mina continued to laugh and you took long strides to try to get away from her.
"I'm not embarrassed! I just... was looking at the scenery"
"Right... the scenery of a shirtless hot guy"
"Leave me alone Mina! It's not 'cuz he was shirtless it was bec-"
Thump
Almost falling on your butt, someone grabbed your wrist and held you up. Looking up, red eyes stared down at you. Beautiful vermilion eyes staring into your own, almost glowing. His wild, spiky, ashy hair was wet and dropped with droplets. His bare chest glistened because of the water. His muscles looked chiseled and his arm flexed when he pulled you up to stand straight. His usual scowl adorning his face, small wrinkles around his face along with small scars. A new wound grazing his cheek. Standing now right in front of him, barely one whole step between you two. Not being able to control your eyes, they wandered down to his abs. 6 chiseled abs, his v line dipping down under the towel that hung loosely on his hips.
"The fuck you starin' at, dumbass?" his gruff voice interrupted your staring and you squeaked in embarrassment. The idea of being caught staring making your face heat up. When you looked up, Bakugou was slightly smirking, gloating in the idea that he caught you.
"Oh um... Hiii.. Bakugou..." you chuckled nervously while looking anywhere but at him.
"Hey Bakubro!" Mina shouted from behind you, waving her hand like a toddler. Bakugou simply responded with a nod, which isn't a lot but better than the usual. You heard Mina mutter out a quiet 'rude', after that it became silent. And knowing you, it was suffocating.
"So... the weather, am I right?" you glanced at the two people with you, a big smile as you tried to fill the silence.
"What's with the weather?" the bored look on Bakugous face, only showed that your small talk wasn't working.
"It-it's nice..?" you tilted your head, swaying on your feet, side to side. He didn't answer, only stared at you like he was waiting for a better answer. "It's the usual, which makes it boring...?" you cringed a bit, 'it's boring'? what kind of answer is that?
"Well, not cuz' this isn't fun because it isn't, I'm going to go, soo... yeah" Minas voice came out of nowhere and you slightly jumped when realizing that she was right next to you. Mina gave you a look and then walked to the opening of the hot springs. But before going in, she gave you a look again, and disappeared. The looks would have meant something if you understood them. Which you didn't.
"Who were you staring at?" you gave him a puzzled look, who was talking about you staring?
"What do you me-"
"Right before bumping into me, dumbass. You and raccoon eyes talked about someone shirtless?"upon hearing those words, it felt like your face was burning. Staring at him, you saw a hardness in his eyes. Like he knew the answer, just didn't want to hear it.
"Oh you know... just somebody"
"Who was it?"
"It was..."
"Just answer the question!" he barked out, now you could clearly hear how mad Bakugou was. He was trying to scare you, and it worked. But that fear got replaced with anger. Who did he think he was?
"Who do you think you are?!" you barked back, taking a step towards him, not caring that you were almost face to, well throat. Damn him for being tall. "Why do you even care who I was staring at? Huh?!"
"Because why are you even starin' at shirtless guys?!"
"Because I want too! And you should mind your business!" you tried to storm past him. But he caught your wrist, holding it close to his chest. You could feel the heat radiating off him, like a damn fire camp.
"Well, you shouldn't!"
"Why the hell not!?" with that said, his brows furrowed deeper, his damn scowl burrowing deeper. He let out a 'tch' and let go of your hand. And stormed away, which only made you angrier. Who does he think he is? Storming off when it should have been you? Smoke almost came out of your ears before a soft voice interrupted you.
"Y/n... You okay?" you instantly relaxed when hearing his voice. Turning around, you froze. Standing in front of you was Izuku, holding up his towel with one hand, with a worried look on his face. His broad shoulders making him look bigger than before. His hair was tied back with a piece of rope. His forehead sticking out, while his eyebrows were furrowed. "I- I heard shouting, are you okay?"
"Yea sorry, I'm fine..."
He tied his towel and stepped forward to you, now he was barley 2 steps away from you. If you reached out, you could probably touch one of his pecs.
"You don't sound fine, who were you fighting with anyway?"

why are so many great writers leaving? It makes me sad that so many are leaving and that we cant read their content anymore or even say goodbye :(
tumblr used to be a safe place for so many of us, but recently, with the waves of unnecessary hate and bullying, many writers are discouraged to continue writing and don't feel that spark of happiness they used to feel while logging in.
if you're a content consumer, please support your favorite writers as much as you can; leave comments, reblog with tags or a little something like your favorite quote, leave an ask telling them how good their work was and you're endlessly thankful for the time they put in this... too many writers feel like their efforts go to waste because they think they "don't fit in" (this is what a writer friend of mine told me before deactivating, i'm just using her own words here).
writing is fun, it's a hobby for us. so when it slowly turns into a task, something we have to do instead of something we want to do, this is when many of us decide to leave

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Only the sound of the rain and the thunder was the only thing anyone heard. It was one of the few days where it rained and usually would be celebrated. Living in the desert like place, only heat and blinding sun was regular. A rainy day was like a blue moon, and everyone, celebrated it. The kids would play in it, the young adults would party in it, the elders would simply stand in it and converse with one another. Music and laughter would be the only thing anyone heard. This day was the opposite however, and the reason for it? More than half of the village was gone, they were on a hunting trip that should only lasted for a few weeks. It had been a few months now, and everyone was beginning to lose their hope of the hunting group returning. The only ones left were, children and elders and a few adults that had stayed for different reasons.
You were one of the adults that stayed, your reason was that you fell sick right before leaving. It was then decided that it was too dangerous for you to leave the village. It took all of your friends to convince you to stay. And let's say you were furious that you had stayed, especially now that the group were now gone. But you were not the only one who's heart were filled with rage and sorrow.
The warriors and the dragons had left to hunt the orcs who had dangerously been inching in close to the village. The whole village thought that if they could get rid of the orcs now. All would be safer, and the orcs didn't have the recourses to go to war now, so why wait until the orcs can?
You sat on the floor at the opening of the tent. Watching the puddle, you thought about how hot it still was when it was raining. You thought about your friends, and what you would be doing if they were here. You probably would be dancing and partying in the rain. And nobody would be able to hear the siren over the music, unlike right now when it was going off. The siren that only was used to important things, to signal when a new season started or when someone returned home-
When someone was returning home after war or after a long time...
You looked up, towards the mountains and right there, in the middle of the mountains. A group of people were walking towards the village. They were too far away to be able to see who they were, but everyone knew. It was them.. Getting up, you started to run towards to the group of people, standing and watching them. You pushed your way to the front and your vision started to blur from tears. Even though it was still raining, even though it was still dark from all the clouds. It felt like the sun was shining, like the rain now was a sweet reminder of the parties that usually held place here.
The group were closer now, and you could clearly see how hurt they all were. The few dragons by the humans was transformed to their human shapes. Almost everyone were limping, and helping each. other to walk. Finally you could not hold yourself back and you broke out of the crowd. A few kids following you, you made you way to the group. The first person you saw were Mina, your long time best friend. And by her side were Eijiro, one of his wings were bandaged.
"Mina! Eijiro!" you screamed out as you neared them. You stopped a step from them and you went to hug them when you realized that that wouldn't be the best.
"Are you guys ok..? Is it ok if I hug you or..?" you fidgeted around, only you three stood there, everyone walking around you.
Mina chuckled and leaned forward, hugging you. You hugged back, squeezing her hard until she slightly winced. It felt like you hugged each other for hours, rambling about different things. Like how much you missed each other.
"Hey.. when is it my turn for a hug?" Eijiro whined behind Mina, crossing his arms and playfully pouted.
"Now's your turn" you let go of Mina and turned to him. "Come here big guy" you squeezed him just like Mina. You two also stood forever and rambled about things. Just like when you were younger, he always felt like home. You also would stand there forever if Mina hadn't interrupted the two of you.
"The Bakugous is about to start their speech, let's get over there, then can you two continue your hugging party." she nodded towards the scene where Mitsuki Bakugou, the village leader, or queen, was about to start her speech. Walking towards her, you blended into the crowd already there. Mitsuki Bakugou stood in the middle of the scene, her husband, Masaru Bakugou stood slightly behind her, a supporting hand on her shoulder. On her other side stood Katsuki Bakugou with his usual scowl on his face. Mitsuki exchanged a few words with Masaru before turning her attention forward.
"Everyone... We'er finally back from the hunting trip that were only supposed to last a few weeks. It was hard but I'm glad to tell you the exiting news. When we arrived to the last sighting of orcs, we saw that there were a few who had made camp there. We fought them off our land and got information on where the main camp was. When we arrived, we were shocked to say the at least. There were a lot more than we thought there were going to be. We had to make camp and discuss our new battle plans. But then we were ready, and we fought. And... even though it was a big possibility that we would lose a few soldiers... WE LOST NONE!" a big cheer broke out and people started to almost party right there and then. Mitsuki with only her hand silenced and calmed down the crowd. "We fought bravely, many of us were hurt and are going to be treated shortly after this speech. We have now gotten rid of the orcs that harmed and threatened our land. And luckily... the mating season has not started yet. It will begin in a 2 short weeks along with spring. I feel like this year is extra special, and we will treat it like it. Now just a few words from my husband and from my soon then you can continue to reunite with your close and loved ones" she finished her speech and stepped to the side. Her husband and her switching their places. He cleared his throat and started with his speech.
"Even though my wife has said almost everything there is to say, I have a few words. I want to say thank you, for every brave soul that followed us to fight the evil. It is only with their help that we could defeat the enemy without losing one of our own. And for anyone wondering... the harvest has been good this year. And along with the animals we hunted on our way back. We have more than enough food to relax without the need to hunt. We will celebrate the beginning of spring with a feast so big it will last for days!" he laughed and the crowd cheered again. The thought of being able to properly relax and the thought of food, making everyone happy. Mitsuki then pushed her son, Katsuki, to the front. It was then you noticed his arm were wrapped and hung around his neck. It was clearly broken, you looked around and noticed a lot of people had broken something. But thankfully Mina or Eijiro hadn't broken anything. Eijiro was only bleeding from his wing but otherwise was okay.
"I would like to say... It was brave of everyone to follow on this trip, to risk their life for each other. And now we can celebrate it" his words were short and you could hear how he didn't mean any of that. Or maybe he did but was too tired to say it. Everyone clapped and Mitsuki clapped Katsukis shoulder. She whispered something to him and he scowled. The Bakugou family left the stage and almost the whole crowd turned to the direction of the medical tent. You walked with Mina, Eijiro had left to find Katsuki Bakugou, his dear friend.
"So Mina, are you excited about the mating season?" you asked her, as you walked together.
"Ah... I don't know actually... I mean Eijiro competed for me last year and well, I don't know if he's going to do it again" she answered, she stared ahead at nothing. You got a brilliant idea, almost like a lightbulb went off in your head.
"Why don't you compete for him? I mean it's tradition that couples compete every year and imagine how happy he would be!" your eyes shined as you awaited for her answer.
"Omg... Y/n I love you!" she grabbed your shoulders and shook you back and fort before hugging you. "And it can be a surprise too!" you laughed along with her.
"I'm really happy for you, you know? I don't think your or Eijiro could fins a better match" you smiled warmly while Mina gave you a cute pout.
"That's so sweet... I have to do something for you now!" she gasped and pulled you with her. "What if... I help you find someone to compete for you or someone for you to compete for?!"
"Ah... Mina, there isn't really anyone I'm interested in.." you sighed, you never really thought about dating or anything like that. But it wasn't the first time someone told you to get a date.
"I know I know... but if there's someone who would be a great match for you? It would be Bakugou!" she almost yelled out, which resulted in you covering her mouth with your hand.
"Shush! You can't just yell that!" you shushed her, she only giggled in response. "And.. Bakugou..?" you slightly blushed.
"Yes yes! I was with him a lot during this trip and you'er perfect for each other!"
"But I don't really know him? Like at all?" that was a lie, you did know Bakugou. Or at least you knew him when you were younger. You and Bakugou were thick as thieves when you were children.
It was only after he started to really bully Midoryia that you had told him to stop. Before that you would also tease Midoryia, call him Deku and laugh along with Bakugou. When you became 5 you got close with Midoryia, and started to be his friend too. And at the same time Bakugou only bothered Midroyia more. You would try to protect Midoryia but would always run after Bakugou, laughing and playing with him. Until you stayed, and told Bakugou to stop. It was the first time you were deadly serious and Bakugou only let out a tch before leaving. After that day Bakugou started to ignore you, and would bully Midoryia as much as you could.
But now, you had grown up and you pretended that you didn't know Bakugou. Like you never talked to him at all. A lot of the elders knew of your friendship, but never discussed it. The people your age didn't know, mostly because they weren't there when you were younger. It was like your friendship with Bakugou was in an another life time.
When you and Mina arrived at the tent, you saw a long line of people waiting. You let out a sigh and turned to her. You scanned her up and down and tilted your head. She wasn't really hurt, only scrapes and dirt on her skin. She didn't limp or act like anything hurt.
"Mina, are you hurt? Or why are we here?" you asked, not knowing what her answer would be.
"Oh not really... But I have a nasty cut on my back that need to be cleaned" she shrugged, and turned to stand in line. You lit up.
"That's great!" you exclaimed, before wincing. "I don't mean it's great you have a cut but I have stuff at my place. I could patch you up there!" you smiled.
"Oh really? Great! Let's go" she turned swiftly around, already heading to your tent.

"Mina!
