Today in "Moments of underappreciated wokeness in SciFi"

Capt. Janeway bossing her stay-at-home husband (partner?) around in the first 20 minutes the way the man usually does in most military movies, followed shortly by her saying that "Despite star fleet protocol" she prefers to be called "ma'am" or "captain" over the typical "sir".

I may not be Voyager's biggest fan, but IMO Janeway was the best part of the show, and is an absolute gift.

I started reading Batman Comics...

And, for the most part, I expected it to be a lot of batman kicking as. Taking a few punches to give it suspense, sure, but mostly him just being the insane fighter the DCAU always made him into and kicking everybody’s ass. And then I realized... Batman gets beat up. 

Like, a lot. 

It’s sort of surprising, actually.

My biggest takeaway from Justice League is that Alfred is a huge WonderBat shipper, and as someone raised on Justice League Unlimited, I can appreciate that.
