Let's go down to the crossroads and call up the devil.
A bi-weekly New Orleans Voodoo Tarot reading, exploring my creative path. This week I added a touch of keys through some organ work to flavour the music.

Delving once more into my psyche with the Manara Erotic Tarot, I discover the red rawness of truth.

Music is best experienced and not read about. Of course, there's music theory that's sometimes best conveyed with stark, unfeeling black & white. Later the emotions can be added and incredible music made.
"Music Theory" by Hal Leonard is the book I'm working through now and it's quite enlightening.

The same songs, round and round, and the suggestions by the Spotify algorithm are pedestrian. I feel like I'm in a song rut. There's nothing new and exciting I'm coming across.

Have you ever wondered if your equipment is adequate? I feel mine isn't quite on par with the huge mixing desks, double screens and supercomputers I see on music producer posts.
This is my studio. It's basic and small. It consists of a microphone in a bedroom, guitars in the lounge and a laptop with a USB interface.
The more I practice, the better the quality of music I'm able to make.
It may be basic but it gets the job done.

Lucky thing I didn't step on her.
We parted on amicable terms. She gets to eat the weeds in my yard whilst listening to my dark music and I don't have to clean off the bottom of my shoe.
