My Goodbye from EPIC the Musical just cries Gale and Mystra to me on a level so deep it rumbles my bones. Seriously. You can't tell me this didn't happen either after their split, or when Gale chooses Tav and real love over Mystra's orders.

Mystra as Athena chorus:

I know for a fact Estelle (My Tav) would be the last to let go of that hug. She would grip the back of his robe, begging to every God in the pantheons to make sure he made it back alive... Offering only her raw, silent, gentle tears for the hopes one would listen.

Gale means the world to her. From the moment he tumbled out of that portal and the witty comments that tumbled after, she was smitten. His magical prowess was an asset but soon his smile became her only weakness. Breaking through that 17AC effortlessly into her heart.

The world has enough heroes, saving every other day of the week in every corner of the world. But it only has one Gale Dekarios. And Estelle would not let the world forget that it needed him. More than it needed her when all was said and done.

The adventurer with a good natured heart, who wanted to help who she could even at the risk of her own life. And Mystra's chosen, fallen from on high, forsaken by his deity for a single mistake, tasked with redemption even at the cost of his own life.

The road to destruction is paved with good intentions. Maybe that's just how the cycle of love is too.

But if there's one thing known between the two... They would burn for each other. And it took the other to show them it would be in brilliant radiance rather than hells flame.

Thinking about how The Rizzard himself, Gale of Waterdeep, cried because he cast Fireball on a neighbours rose bush, and singed his eyebrows off in the process as a kid.
