I love this story. I love the pack dynamics and how they all are despite Dean being the Pack Alpha. I love that they even have an extended pack as well (Claire, for example). I love that the reader has to learn the world and shows a very real world freak out over the information as well as how the pack dynamic and tactics work with and without Dean and Sam. I love how gentle and human Dean and the Reader are together. It’s a very relatable story with new relationships. I related to the Reader’s self-view very, very much. I’m gonna start including pack dynamics in my own a/b/o fics. I love that idea, so so much. Evolution is slow to change, so even if a/b/o was an evolutionary change, it doesn’t mean that all aspects would change with modern day society. Please check the story out and the author. Thanks!

This is such an amazing story! Castiel instantly connects with Dean who falls asleep on him while on the bus and Cas being Cas decides to take him home and keep him. Doesnt take long for Dean to agree. It’s an amazing, challenging love story from there that encompasses family, children, health and home, and the challenges of in-laws for their personal and religious views. It’s beautiful and terrifying, and worth the tears.

It's Daylight Saving Time again in the US! (It's coming for the rest of you soon enough.) Yes, it's that time of year when we lose an hour and all get cranky and have more heart attacks and car accidents. I wonder if we could Tulpa DST away, somehow? Like, if we all just thought about it hard enough all at the same time.... Of course, arranging the "at the same time" part of that would be a nightmare because of, you know, DST and time zones and such.

Dean Winchester Rare Ships Week

What is it?

A whole week to celebrate Dean Winchester and his rare ships in Supernatural. (Except, of course, Destiel and Wincest, which are not a rare ship unless you add a third to make a poly group.) Whether it is platonic, romantic, familial, or any other kind of relationship is up to you!

What are the prompts?

Sunday, January 21 - Hotels and Motels There are a lot of scenes throughout the series that take place in hotels and motels. We know that some of those hotels and motels saw some action from some pairings. Fill us in on what happened behind closed doors!

Monday, January 22 - Omegaverse Alphas. Betas. Omegas. The Omegaverse is a complicated AU and everyone has their own way of presenting it. Let’s stick Dean into the Omegaverse and explore his relationships.

Tuesday, January 23 - Slash Ships Today’s the day for Dean to be with the fellas! Remember, any kind of relationship is allowed today, as long as it’s Dean with his boy toys.

Wednesday, January 24 - “The Early Years” Seasons 1-5 Many episodes in the first five seasons had romantic interests come and go. Let’s expand on some of those characters, shall we? (Lori, Madison, Sarah, Lilith, Meg, Lisa, Cassie, Anna, Layla, Carmen, omg there are so many!)

Thursday, January 25 - Het Ships Today’s the day for Dean to be with the ladies! Remember, any kind of relationship is allowed today, as long as it’s Dean with his gal pals.

Friday, January 26 - Missing Scene / Episode Tag Take this opportunity to fill in the empty spaces of episodes with your headcanons of what happened. Whether you have an idea of a scene in the middle of the episode or something that should have been added to the end, share with us your ideas! (Tag the episode number in your posts, too!)

Saturday, January 27 - Dealer’s Choice Today is all you, we can’t wait to see what you come up with!

SPNCH FAQ

What is SPNCH? A themed monthly writing and art challenge open to everyone whether they're a newbie or an expert.

What does SPNCH mean? The full name is SPNColdestHits because it was originally a Supernatural-only challenge. We didn't change the name even though we're multifandom now because we didn't want to lose any of our friends who wouldn't know what the new challenge was named.

What are "CHitters"? We started referring to members who submitted pieces as Hitters (due to the challenge being named Coldest Hits), but it morphed into CHitters because they're not just hitters. They're the coldest hitters!

What are these points you speak of? Works are posted to AO3, and all the hits, kudos, comments, and bookmarks are tallied at the end of the challenge. Whoever gets the least amount of points wins and can pick the theme for the month after next. Winners also get promos for a piece of their choice.

Why in the world would you do this?! There are so many excellent fics and pieces of art, but a lot of them don't get the attention they deserve for various reasons. Why not celebrate your masterpiece being completely ignored and without the burden of performance pressure? It's an opportunity to just have fun and let loose!

In between challenges, we promo non-challenge pieces, hold events, run polls, and do other fun stuff to get more writers and artists involved even if they've never shared anything publicly before. The goal is to have fun, make new friends, and support writing and art.

What are promo wars? During each challenge, those who entered the challenge can earn minus points by creating promos for their fellow CHitters. The more promos a CHitter creates, the more their score goes down. Promo enough, and you can even get a negative score. This has the added benefit of getting writers and artists' work out there for more people to see. There are no downsides to it!

Can I tell my friends/subscribers not to read/view my submission? Absolutely! Most CHitters put a line in their notes begging their readers/viewers to save feedback until the end of the challenge so they can win.

I really want to submit a fic/fanart, but it doesn't fit this month's theme! Submit it anyway. Even a token mention or vague reference works because we're really easy-going here! Themes are also VERY open to interpretation.

Do I have to register? No. We welcome random impulse writing/art, so just go for it!

Is there anything I can't submit? All writing and art needs to follow AO3's rules, but other than that there are no restrictions. Due to this and the fact that promos can get risque, we have put an 18+ only restriction on the Discord server.

Is there a word limit or minimum? No. Submit one line of text or 1 million words. It's up to you. We do ask that art be accompanied by a short blurb.

When do I post? Posting dates are every 15th-19th. Promo dates are every 15th-23rd. All times are GMT-7, but if you manage to get your submission in before the mods wake up, you're good to go.

What if I want to delete my work later? Your work is still your own creation. If you choose to delete, we'll miss it, but we're not going to stop you!
