Taylor Swifts 1989 Album
I just got Taylor Swifts new album and have to say i completely love it, it is so different to anything she has done before. It seems as though 'Red' was just a warm up for her complete change in style. The new album is so pop and really fun to listen to there's barely a hint of country anywhere. The only thing about the album I would want to change is that it doesn't have a big ballad, that's something i would really love to see from her something similar to Adele. Just because I have no doubt she could write an amazing ballad and it'd be nice to see her explore all aspects of the pop genre. Nevertheless I can't stop listening to 1989 and here are the names of my favourite songs so far! (Which I'm sure you will be able to find on YouTube if you're not willing to get the album yourself)

New music discovery!
So on Sunday I went to watch Ed Sheeran (and he was brilliant of course) but also his support acts were amazing! This I did kind of expect though because last time I went to watch him Passenger was his support act right before he got big in the UK. This time he had a really great artist called Jamie Lawson who I believe is actually quite successful in Ireland but not here which is such a shame because his songs are beautiful!

New Taylor Swift song...
So Taylor Swift just released a new single called 'Shake it off', like most people I see Taylor Swift as my guilty pleasure because recently she's become a bit too cringey for you to admit you like. Although with her last album 'Red' her music has dramatically improved and taken on more of a pop rather than country vibe. This song sticks to that and her new preppy, hipster image, and like her other singles such as 'We are never ever getting back together' its really catchy and upbeat. The reason I wanted to post about it was because i was pleasantly surprised when I heard it and honestly I can't stop listening to it. In the song she addresses the way people think about her and maybe it is time we started taking Taylor Swift seriously again!
