1. Mostly Beta, on occasion Omega
2. Omega (I love those mama goose instincts!)
3. Beta
4. Yes I do! I want fluffy cuddle piles!
5. Pack mom's second in command. All the doting but less emotional responsibility.
6. A small group in heavy contact with each other. Like a group of 5 or so all living together commune style.
7. Whenever I'm stressed out.
8. Softest blankets on the bottom, more structured blankets and pillows along the sides.
9. My pack, if they're clean, and my mate. Sometimes my friends but not always.
10. I'm particular about my nest so I'd rather make it. But I'd love for my pack to gather materials for it (it'll end up being mine or scented as the only accepted materials)!
11. Neither
12. Service top me, hands down. I'm a missionary bitch and I love it.
13. YES! Best thing about it.
14. Not lately unfortunately, but I'm seeing great fics I want to dream up a/b/o aus of. I want a/b/o fic recs, that would be great.
15. A world where society accepts and encourages being driven by our instincts to want to be around others and to be more physically affectionate.
16. A lot of non-con and sexism that can show up.
17. Aloe Vera (the plant, not the weird minty medicine)
18. Omega Tony Stark is fun. My favorite headcanon right now though is Alpha Wei Wuxian but in Mo Xuanyu's body he becomes Omega. So it was Alpha/Alpha Wangxian and then WWX became omega and he's like, "Noice. More curves." and you know our loyal boy LWJ loves him either way so it's perfect.
19. I recently realized that if Hualian from TGCF had pups then Hua Cheng would be the one to carry them despite being the top and I am so here for that.
20. Fluff
I asked and you answered so now you shall receive! I give you: an ask game for Omegaverse! Feel free to send me numbers and to share this list for yourself!
1. What is your secondary gender?
2. What is your favorite secondary gender?
3. What's your preferred mate's secondary gender?

5. What's your ideal role in a pack?
6. What's your ideal pack?
7. When would you nest?
8. How would you make your nest?
9. Who would you let into your nest?
10. Would you rather make a nest or have your mate/pack make a nest for you?
11. Overall, do you enjoy being dominant, submissive, or neither?

Pack Positions
It's about to get complicated:
Fact 93: the pack position is not equavalent to the secondary gender (they can overlap but let's not get too packnormative)
Your pack position is your role and what you officially provide to your pack. Pack position is mainly emphasized in packs big enough to need that kind of identity structure within their pack. It's used within all packs, but it holds more weight with a pack of 15 than a pack of 3.
A Beta can be an Alpha and an Omega can be a Beta, etc. There are three (genetic) secondary genders but more pack positions. The genders are something one is born as. The positions are assigned or chosen and can get moved around.
Fact 94: pack position lists as follows:
Alpha - leader. There's usually only one. On occasion there is two.
Theta - second in command/the keeper of pack members and their positions usually falls to Theta
Beta - pack. The hunter-gatherers
Gamma - medic/sometimes another choice as number keeper, depending on what the alpha wants from their Theta
Omega - alpha's mate and/or emotional keystone
Zeta - lone wolf/trail member. Someone who isn't officiated into the pack but there at the moment. Trail runners to join the pack are the most common use of the Zeta position.
It didn't make sense to me to have Omega's meaning be the lowest ranking, simply because that wouldn't provide anything, and the positions are about what you provide to the pack.
The positions are ranked in order of social hierarchy, though the importance of said hierarchy depends entirely on your pack.

to the anon from earlier to add onto your ideas !! i’ve always thought of scent glands as sort of raised from the skin maybe half a mm but the same color as the skin around it? idk why. just a thought <3 i like the idea of knowing the borders of scent glands
I like that concept! Having a seen border for where the scent glands are. I see the scent glands as able to become slightly redder in color, like irritated skin, when being used (like scenting) or when they're irritated, touched too much, etc. If they're irritated I can see the gland becoming raised a bit as well.

i'm writing my first omegaverse, and i wanted to ask abt the diff between an unclaimed and unmated omega, and if these omegas can go into heat when an alpha they like gets jealous of them spending time with someone else :)
Great question! I actually have a post or two about the difference between unmated and unclaimed omegas and what an unclaimed omega's heat is like.
It depends on the stability of the omega's heat cycle. Usually it's twice a year/every 6 months-ish. This pattern can be destabilized based on the omega's mental and physical stability.
I'm getting off track a bit though. I don't think they'd go into heat because their alpha was jealous. If their alpha does something extra spicy and the omega had claimed them then it's possible the alpha jump-starts their heat. But it wouldn't happen based on the situation alone.
I think you could get a fun story out of it!

I yearn for more ABO fics where Shen Yuan is like;
“Hmmm okay uh, mountain full of teens and children-“
*goes into heat*
“Pups, they’re all my pups- get here, come on, cuddles, now- shut up Binghe you stink- Ming Fang come here now- oh good girl Ling Ying, yes- oh my pups I swear to the heavens if anyone touches you I’ll kill them-“

I only just recently found your page, so sorry if you've talked about this before, but do you know anything about bitching or studding? it's really hard to find other people's thoughts on these things
I do not, so I looked it up.
It looks like the process of changing someone's secondary gender through behavior. Like if someone tops an alpha often enough and with hours of submissive behavior from that alpha they then turn into an omega, or vice versa. Something like that?
I did actually find a fic that did that. I thought it was interesting as a concept (I find everything interesting when it comes to worldbuilding). Did you know there are fish species that will change their gender if their school has too many of one or the other? It kind of reminds me of that but with behavioral patterns instead.

So. In the lovely omega-verse, what exactly happens when someone is anosmic(has no sense of smell)? I’m kind of curious because a lot of the things seem to be very scent-based and some people (like me) have no sense of smell. Sorry if this is a bother or a stupid question!
That's such a cool question!
Because smell has higher importance in Omegaverse then it would be more significant if someone couldn't smell. Mostly smell is used in social situations as queues. People are able to use smell to determine someone else's general physical state or mood. Or if an area or item has some ownership significance.
I don't think it would lessen basic day to day living, at least in comparison of our world vs Omegaverse. In some verses betas can't smell as well as Alphas and Omegas and often miss social queues but aren't affected by pheromones that would otherwise cause trouble. In some everyone has the same sensitivity so it depends on the verse too.
I think the biggest impact it would have would be missing social queues. Facial expressions and body language would help with reading others but you'd be missing the smell component that's often found in that world.
Again, super cool ask. Thanks for bringing it up!

non sexual intimacy!!!! bathing together, washing each other, playing with each other's hair, kissing every inch of their body, writing love letters on their back with your finger, connecting their moles and freckles to create constellations on their skin, running your hands up and down their thighs, ugh just expressing physical love without it having to be about sex!!!!

i desperately need more tips/info about scent glands. like placement, sensitivity, stuff like that.
Scent glands! I love scent glands, they're so fun! And integral!
OK SO!
There are 3 (technically 5) scent glands. One on each side of the neck (these are the big main ones. The spot where mating bites happen)
Tumblr media
One on the inside of each wrist
Tumblr media
And one on the tip of the nose
Tumblr media
The nose is the weakest in strength and is used for scenting between friends.
For those who don't like getting up close like that, the inside of the wrist is the way to go. The wrist gland's scent stays a little longer than the nose gland and is a great way to scent subtly and discreetly if needed (but it isn't as cute~).
The neck is the strongest and longest-lasting scent gland on the body. It is the most famously known one, and the most intimate. If people are scenting neck to neck they are likely either mates, close packmates, or family. (Or breaking social norms)
Any of these spots can be rubbed against the other to scent someone. Scenting is done publicly in medium moderation and privately to greet each other. To have someone's scent on you is like saying, "Hey! This person's part of my life!" It's a huge social indicator of who's closest/most important to someone and who's pack.

hey! literally just came across your blog and I'm so obsessed, thank you for all the info you're feeding us <3
I've got a question concerning honorific titles; my male omegas are quite effeminate, mpreg is prevalent and abundant in my work, and wearing gowns and being adorned with pearls and lace is the norm. I've chosen the Victorian era as a setting and the people back then used to be referred to as lady, lord, and sir, I believe. My predicament lies in not knowing how to address my male omegas. Mr or sir don't really cut it for me. What do you think? Thank you in advance!!
Hmmm, I think it depends on an Omega's status, both personally and in the world.
Are Omegas higher or lower in status just for being Omega? Like your pregnant Omega in the gown and the lace, would he be called Lord for his status as an Omega or for his status as a higher-up (lace is expensive, someone has to be paying for it. It could however be a situation in which the church or some other organization of higher power provides him with it because it's a tradition of this culture. Things to think about)?
As for feminine vs masculine, that depends on if your world prioritizes secondary or primary gender with its pronouns. A male omega could potentially be Lord or Lady, the same as a female alpha.
I think I ended up giving you more questions than answers, but hopefully this helped!

I can answer some of these!
"like the whole becoming mates thingy?" The process of mating
"Like do said couple have to both being in heat or rut?" Technically no. I see it like wearing formal clothes when getting wed. You don't have to to still be married, but it's something you do. And it's not necessary for both but usually one of them (assuming one is capable of heat or rut).
"And like all that anatomy stuff and all, like what happens?" A really heavy version of The Birds and the Bees. Or equivalent depending on what parts you're working with. If it's a male Omega or female Alpha in heat/rut then it depends on if you're world lets them procreate outside of heat/rut. Most don't, to emphasize why heat/rut is important in that world.
"What's the process i guess. And like what does an alpha do?" 😏 Be the top (usually. I am not above kinky in my world. Respect the unusual).
"I know kinda like they get a bad reputation?" They do. A lot of story writers like to have the majority of Alphas be misogynist representation (with the exception of the omega's love-interest) and so they get negative stereotyping from it. Post about Alphas' bad rep
"And if someone goes into their first like heat or rut, like how do they cope without a mate or whatever?" Posts about Omega heats 1 2 3
"Then following, how does the whole mating to pregnancy to birth to pup experience work?" I don't really have a lot of info on the pregnancy to birth to pup experience yet but it is on my to-do list! Sorry I couldn't really answer this one.
Hope these answers help!
like the whole becoming mates thingy? Like do said couple have to both being in heat or rut? And like all that anatomy stuff and all, like what happens? What's the process i guess. And like what does an alpha do? I know kinda like they get a bad reputation?

Then following, how does the whole mating to pregnancy to birth to pup experience work?
So wow this is a lot. Both AM and I have been staring at this in our inbox and we don’t have all of the answers atm, but I wanted to get back to you since it’s been sitting here for so long. So the best answer I can give you is to look at our fellow omegaverse bloggers such as @omegaverse-seeker @omegaverse-professor @theomegaverse @pack-the-pack @sortingabosincebirth @betawithablog and @jar-of-omegaverse to name a few. I follow all of these people on my personal blog, so I agree with a lot of the stuff they post. We made this blog originally to post about our rp, but it’s since turned into a pup focused blog (which I don’t mind!)
I hope you find the answers you’re searching for

Take care of your nests nesters, because the longer you neglect them the more likely it is you will start to lose that emotional attachment that gives you those sweet serotonin vibes. So keep your nest clean and well kept to the best of your abilities.

So one of my headcanons is that the "dominant alpha" and "submissive omega" are stereotypes based on oversimplification.
Alpha instincts are "Protect and Provide". Omega instincts are "Nurture and comfort" (Beta instincts revolve around maintaining peace internally and externally)
So sometimes you get some situations that seem like they defy their instincts, but they actually just defy the stereotype!
Like for example an A/O couplei have where the Alpha is a stay at home dad while his Omega mate goes to work and is the breadwinner of the family.
Alpha is protecting his home and family by being there all the time, and providing his mate and pups with food and a safe and clean home!
Meanwhile the Omega is a teacher! He's nurturing and comforting his students at work and his pups and husband at home! He's not fighting his instincts, they drive him!
Most importantly though: Omegas almost always recharge their energy through cuddling, so Omega comes home and cuddles with his family, then (usually after dinner) he feels well enough to give his mate a break from childrearing and do it himself.
Blissful 💞
I honestly have nothing to add to this. This is perfect here on it's own and spot on to my preferences. I love it.
