Day 4/100
Okokok so I had a bit of personal stuff to handle that took longer than I would have liked it to, but it has been taken care of and hopefully, I will be back to posting consistently. I also have my finals next week so I’ll be studying this weekend and next week mostly! I’m still planning to post about my class studies as I mentioned in my last post before this semester is over. I’m glad to be back and ready to get to coding! NOW TIME TO GET BACK TO BUSINESS >:)

FreeCodeCamp
FreeCodeCamp was easy to get back into, I didn’t have any trouble resuming where I left off. I’m happy that I’m retaining information instead of it going in one ear and out the other! If that’s one problem I have it’s not practicing so I end up forgetting what I have learned! I’m hoping to pick up the pace and do lessons every other day.
Finished Lessons 91/91 of Learn Basic CSS by Building a Cafe Menu.
Started Lessons 3/94 of CSS Colored Markers.

I made a Banana Rum cake with Brown Butter Frosting!! 10/10 It was one of my best yet I’m so proud!
My professor said that computer science students might have to go to grad school because of all the ai stuff. I'm very worried about it and plan to do LOTS of research to confirm if it’s true.

Day 3/100
I took a little longer than I wanted for my next post but with only a somewhat made-up posting schedule I’ll excuse myself this once. I’m doing good in my college classes and soon I’ll make a post about my class studies. I also only have 7 weeks left of this semester!
Tumblr media
FreeCodeCamp
I  like front-end languages so far. I don’t have much experience with javascript yet but I like HTML and CSS. It’s probably because HTML and CSS are a lot easier than other languages so it’s a walk in the park for me compared to the back-end language Java. I'm excited to start my own HTML and CSS projects after I get more confident coding them.
Lessons 70/91 of Learn Basic CSS by Building a Cafe Menu.
Exercism
I wanted to start with that exercism is not beginner friendly! I think it would be better to do the codecademy java course and have a good basis of the language before heading over to exercism. It’s more for practice projects than actually teaching lessons. The mentors are extremely helpful if you get stuck or for each exercise, I like looking at the community solutions after I finish to see the different ways people coded the same problem!
In progress with Play your Cards! (Blackjack)
Exercises 8/132 of the Java Section.

Day 2/100
Tumblr media
FreeCodeCamp
Today I only worked on the freecodecamp web design course. I’m getting through these lessons quickly, but I don’t want to zoom through each course section and just forget everything I learned so I want to pace myself. I’m also returning to college next week from spring break so I hope I can manage posting into my schedule too.
Finished lessons 69/69 of  Learn HTML by Building a Cat Photo App.
Lessons 45/91 of Learn Basic CSS by Building a Cafe Menu.
Note: I’ve noticed I tend to forget the formatting for HTML but not for CSS so that's something for me to practice.

I tried matcha green tea for the first time today and I think I'm obsessed now.
I finished my first crochet project! A little flower coaster, it’s a little wonky but I am still very proud of it!
This has been my current go to playlist for everything and I love it <3. It is very 80s (ish) inspired.

Getting Started!!
!!! Everyone is so nice in this community! Thank you for all the warm welcomes on my intro post <3

Day 1 /100
I think I was pretty productive today! I finally set up a github even though i'm still slightly confused on how it works. I’ve restarted my progress on my freecodecamp account. I also decided to try something new! I’m using Exercism instead of Codecademy to scrub up on my java skills. I’m stoked to see how it’s going to go the farther I get into the exercises!
Tumblr media
FreeCodeCamp
I started the responsive web design course to learn HTML and CSS so I can get ahead for my web app. class i’m taking next semester, and I took a web design class in high school so i'm familiar but definitely need a refresher.
Started the Responsive Web Design Course.
Lessons 32/69 of Learn HTML by Building a Cat Photo App.

Exercism
I didn’t really plan to get into Exercism today too much today, but I will say there are a lot more exercises for java than Codecademy has. I feel that Codecademy lacks a bit in the java department (free courses). It goes into language syntax and basic concepts but then doesn't get into the details.
Hello world & built a code lasagna.
Exercises 3/132 of the Java Section.

PS: Also for some reason my code screenshots are super blurry after I insert them. This is my first time not lurking or only reblogging on tumblr so if anyone could help with that I would thank you millions!

I wanted to start this blog so I could track my progress of the materials I learn as well as to motivate me to really get into coding. I’m so focused on coding for college that i’ve never taken the time to explore programming on my own. So the purpose of this blog is to help me explore that by sharing my experiences.
