You didn’t hear your friends call out for you.
You didn’t hear James’ voice as he cheered about the Dark Lords death.
You didn’t hear Lily’s soft voice trying to calm you down as you cried.
You didn’t hear Sirius welcome Remus and Tonks.
You didn’t hear Remus ask where you were only to realize that you were right there in front of him, only, you were alive.
Instead of hearing your friends who were beside you, you heard the faint cries of mourning and fighters panting as they tried to catch their breath.
“You did it.” Remus said softly as he crouched down to rest his hand in your shoulder but he frowned when his hand went through you as if you were made of air.
“She did.” He felt a hand rest on his shoulder and though he wished for it to be you, he could only show a faint smile when he turned back to see James.
“No no no, please don’t cry darling. You’re gonna be alright, trust me.” Sirius tried to hug you but you couldn’t see or feel him. You only felt an odd sense of comfort wrap around you but before you could relax, it was gone.
Instead of seeing your friends, you saw Harry who was on the ground a few feet away from you. Small, innocent Harry who looked so much like James that it physically hurt to look at him sometimes.
Harry got up from the ground, his friends staying in place as they watched him walk towards you. Neither of you said anything as he sat down in front of you and you wrapped your arms around him.
“I did it, aunt (Y/N), I did it.” He said in a shaky breath as tears streamed down his face. Your arms wrapped tighter around him and he cried into your shoulder as your own tears fell down.
“You did, and I’m sorry you had to but I’m so proud of you.” You whispered as you stroked his hair.
The Marauders stood silently around the two of you, wishing to be able to embrace you both and comfort you two but they couldn’t. The afterlife didn’t allow that, so the only thing they could do is hope that their spiritual presence would be enough.
“Do you think they’re proud?” Harry asked you softly.
“So proud.” You replied in sync with James and Lily though, you and Harry didn’t hear them. “Why don’t you go inside with Ron and Hermione, I’ll be inside in a bit.”
Harry nodded, pulling away and letting you wipe his tears before getting up to join his friends. The Marauders debated on whether they should follow you or Harry but decided on the lather as you got up from the ground and started to head towards the lake.
Memories flashed through your mind as you neared the lake where you used to spend so much time with your friends. It pained you to be back on Hogwarts grounds but Hogwarts needed you.
“I figured if anywhere, you guys would end up here,” you said aloud, not knowing that your fiends were already there. They never did leave you behind.
“He did it, Harry finally defeated the Dark Lord. I hope you guys can rest easy now.” You said as you plucked a dandelion from the ground. You used to make flower crowns using them while still in Hogwarts. You used to make them for your friends and though the boys would whine about being ‘too manly’ for it, everyone knew they loved it and would refuse to take it off for the rest of the day.
“I miss you guys.” you said causing the Marauders to fall silent though you couldn’t have even heard them in the first place. “l truly do hope you guys find peace wherever you are, you guys deserve to.”
You got up from the ground, dusting off your clothes before walking back towards the school, the dandelion in your hand fell from your grip and landed on the ground. The Marauders stood there for a while, unsure of what to say as they watched you leave.
“She’ll be alright, right?” Remus asked his friends, watching as you headed towards the castle. They all simply nodded.
—
You were promoted to head of Aurors office right after the war and your friends were more than happy for you.
“IT WAS HER DREAM! SHE’S HEAD OF AURORS DEPARTMENT!” Your friends exclaimed but sadly, you couldn’t hear them though you did feel that same comforting feeling you felt after the war. It felt more intense this time, and it lasted much longer. You smiled softy and the Marauders thought you could feel them for a brief moment but they had gotten their hopes to high for you simply walked past them.
—
Six years after the war, you finally found peace in the man you fell in-love with and the family the two of you have started.
“She’s glowing.” Lily said as they watched your husband help you sit down, your belly showing that you were most likely 7-8 months pregnant. Your four year old sat on the ground by your feet and the boys pointed out how much they looked like you.
“Honey, we’ve got a surprise for you.” Your husband said and you, along with your friends, cocked a brow.
Your four year old stood up and left the room, they arrived after a few minutes with a black puppy in their arms.
“Mama, meet Padfoot!” They said as they carefully handed you the puppy and for the first time since the war had ended, you broke down in tears and smiled as you held the puppy in your arms. Beside you, though you couldn’t see him, was Sirius with a similar reaction as yours.
The Marauders watched with large smiles as you held the puppy. It’s been a long time since they’ve seen you this happy.
They all shared a knowing look, getting up from the ground and embracing you in a hug, letting that same comforting feeling wrap around you one last time before they left. You were finally genuinely happy and that was all they needed to be able to move on. After James and Lily passed, they swore to not move on until all living Marauders found peace and happiness. When Remus and Sirius arrived, they didn’t hesitate for a second to join them to watch over you no matter how hard it got for them to see. They watched you after the the war, watched you break down nearly every night wondering why you couldn’t have joined your friends because ‘what’s the point in living if all my friends are dead’. It was hard at first, for all of you. They wished that they could break through the barrier between life and death but they couldn’t so the only thing they could do was wait. They waited for you to slowly start being the (Y/N) they were friends with back in Hogwarts and though it took a few years, they couldn’t be more glad.
Now that you were happy, they just had to wait for one more thing.
“We’ll see you soon, (Y/N).”

August
Tumblr media
(YoungSiriusBlack x reader) ~1.3k words
Falling in love one summer with Sirius Black is a hard thing when you are a muggle...
[Inspired by the song "August", by Taylor Swift]
Warnings : allusion to sex, but no smut
***
Salt air
And the rust on your door
A ringed hand grabbing a vinyl you just stored. Long black hair, silver eyes and leather jacket. Cigarettes's smoke that made your head turns. A too charming smirk. A name whispered like a secret. A wink. Fingers curling around your own, willing you to come. A heart beating too fast. A bad feeling. Youth taking over any doubts. A complete stranger shattering your life.
I never needed anything more
Days and nights spent with this boy. Intoxicated by his scent, hypnotized by his mysterious persona. Each moments in his company like drugs, never enough and always longing for it. Feeling alive only when he was with you, kissing all the worries away.
Whispers
Of "Are you sure ?"
"Never have I ever before"
Eye contacts once in while, stormy eyes meeting your passionate ones, making sure every gesture was still fine. Hands slipping under your shirt, exploring your body. Rings cold on your warm back, shivers trailing. Slender fingers caressing every bit of skin visible in the dim light of your room. Moonlight reflecting on your linked bodies, sweat glistening like silver in the hot summer night. Ragged breathing and quiet sighs being the only sounds heard in the dark.
But I can see us
Lost in the memory
August slipped away into a moment in time
'Cause it was never mine
And I can see us twisted in bedsheets
August sipped away
Like a bottle of wine
'Cause you were never mine
Knowing everything, yet nothing about Sirius Black. So close to him, yet so far away. Heart-wrenching to share so many magical moments with a man you knew would forget you soon enough. Pulling you a bit closer to him every night, but taking a step back each time too.
Summer melting away like a candle. Days passing like hours, minutes and finally seconds.
Running together through the weeds, laughing like little children and rolling down the hill. Sharing a cigarette under the night sky, pointing at the stars, laying on the roof. Your bed still hot and messy in your room beneath you.
September hovering above your heads, as you desperately try to ran away from it.
Your back
Beneath the sun
Wishing I could write my name on it
Will you call when you're back at school ?
I remember thinking I had you
Damage at the doorstep of your heart, just waiting for it to open. The boy like a wild stallion, impossible to bridle. Running like the river, free like the wind. At some point, thinking you could tame him.
Writing down your number, deep inside you, knowing it is all for nothing. Yet, hope keep blooming, blinding you from the heartbreak you could too clearly see in the skyline.
But I can see us
Lost in the memory
August slipped away into a moment in time
'Cause it was never mine
And I can see us twisted in bedsheets
August sipped away
Like a bottle of wine
'Cause you were never mine
Cherishing each seconds spent together, knowing it will soon only be memories. Dumb summer love for him, but the love of your life for you.
Waking up with his arms wrapped around your body. Walks along the shore, wishing the path could go on forever. Sneaking out late for a ride on his motorbike. Holding onto his waist for dear life, trying to keep him close to you for the time you still could. Letting his scent envelop you, a mix of smoke, leather and forest that would hunt you eternally. Not-so-discreet laughs as you climb the cracking stairs up to your room. Doors being locked. Little sweet, then hot and passionate kisses exchanged in bed. Falling asleep on a chest you still know nothing about.
Then it’s all over again.
Back when we were still changing for the better
Wanting was enough
For me it was enough
To live for the hope of it all
Cancel plans just in case you'd call
And say "Meet me behind the mall"
So much for summer love, and saying "Us"
'Cause you weren't mine to lose
You weren't mine to lose
No
A last morning together. A last day together. A last night together. A teenage dream summer you never wanted to wake up from.
The boy disappeared as fast as he appeared. Like a magic trick you were still confused about. Trying to see through it and pierced it secret. But it was useless.
You didn't know what kind of enchantment he had used on you to make you fall so damn hard and so damn fast in this fairytale. Making you forgot everything else around you except for him, and him only.
No friends or family had been part of your summer, but you never been less alone. Never even left the town, but still felt as if you had traveled the world. Seeing wonders after wonders, waves of emotions and love crashing on you over and over again.
Leaving everything behind for a story only you would remember. Telling it to yourself when his ghost would keep you awake when it's time to sleep. 'Cause you knew that tonight he would be dreaming in someone else's bed.
But I can see us
Lost in the memory
August slipped away into a moment in time
'Cause it was never mine
And I can see us twisted in bedsheets
August sipped away
Like a bottle of wine
'Cause you were never mine, mine
'Cause you were never mine
Never mine
Dates in the park, listening to his vinyls together, echos of your laughs in the dark, whispers of things he probably didn't meant, whispers of things you meant with all your heart.
Your skin still warm where his fingers used to touch you. Shadows of his lips over your neck. His scent chasing you everywhere you go. The memories hunting you down whenever you close your eyes, flooding inside your head like a tsunami and bringing back the pain and the ecstasy every single time. Tears pricking your eyes as a nostalgic smile grow on your face. After all, mistakes are made to be made.
Do you remember ?
Remember when I pulled up
And said "Get in the car"
And then canceled my plans
Just in case you'd call
Back when I was living for the hope of it all
For the hope of it all
"Meet me behind the mall"
Numbness telling you you're fine, that you should just forget. Anger boiling your blood for being naive enough to fall for a guy like him. Guiltiness taking hold of you for getting attached, despite knowing how it would end. Sadness getting you to spent nights crying in your room, searching for a hand to hold on the other side of the bed. Gratefulness making you light-hearted for all the beautiful moments you got to spent in his company, no matter how long it lasted.
Remember when I pulled up
And said "Get in the car"
And then canceled my plans
Just in case you'd call
Back when I was living for the hope of it all
Getting on with life as the seasons changes.
The leaves turning some beautiful shades of red and orange, before falling down. Snow covering paths and roads you walked and rode on long ago. The smell of smoke tickling a memories that was now buried in the back of your mind. Long black hair and a blur remembrance of tangling your fingers in similar curls. A young couple laughing together somewhere on a roof, making your heart burn with an emotion you hadn't felt in years.
A sigh escaping you, as an old romance is reminded to you. Memories of a summer love that would remain for evermore.
Even if you knew that the boy never really was yours.
Back in a time where your were living for the hope of it all.
(For the hope of it all)
For the hope of it all
For the hope of it all
For the hope of it all
For the hope of it all

Lovesick Boy
Tumblr media
( Young Sirius Black x reader ) ~3,3k words
Sirius being sick and reader taking care of him.
Warnings : none, just fluff
***
You woke up to the sound of the shower getting turned on. Grunting and rubbing your eyes, you turned on your side to take a look at the clock on your bedside. 7 am.
You smiled while rolling your eyes, knowing very well who was in the shower at this hour. Lily Evans, your Gryffindor roommate and best friend, had her very first date with no one other than The James Potter in Hogsmeade today.
She had spend all yesterday evening rummaging through her closet to find "the perfect outfit" for today. And now there she was, already in the shower and getting ready for her date.
Sighing, you pulled the crimson duvet over your head and curled up on yourself, trying to go back to sleep. It was working, you were slowly feeling the sleep creeping back to you, until a thought came up in your brain and you instantly shot up from your bed. You have a date too today, idiot.
Indeed, you had agreed to meet your boyfriend, Sirius Black, at breakfast this morning before heading to Hogsmeade together.
You got up from your bed and started getting ready to go downstair, your tiredness being quickly replaced with your excitement.
***
You had been sit at the Gryffindor table with Lily, Mary and Marlene for about 10 minutes now, before the boys finally decided to show up.
"Did you got lost on your way here" Marlene exclaimed, as they approached the table.
Remus rolled his eyes and answered "No, we did not. Sleeping Beauty here didn't want to leave his bed this morning." He pointed to Sirius, who looked like a living corpse behind them "James and I had to drag him down here"
James immediately took the place beside Lily, red cheeks and huge smile on. You had never saw him as happy as he was right now, same with your best friend who was reflecting James's expression, but with a shyer grin. Peter sat next to Mary and Sirius chose the seat at your left. Remus winked at you and sat between you and Marlene. Then, he filled his plate with bacon, baked bean, scrambled eggs and a toast, that he cut in four and spread marmalade, jam, lemon curd and butter on each quarter.
You eyed his mouth-watering toast while he poured himself some tea, waiting for the perfect moment to steal it. Unfortunately, Remus, sharing a dorm with Sirius, spotted you fast and moved his plate away from you. He raised a mocking eyebrow with an expression meaning "really ?", and you sticked your tongue out at him.
You all started eating, only quietly talking about the upcoming Hogsmeade trip. That's when you realized something was seriously wrong. No one cracked jokes, no loud laugh were heard beside you, no one kissed you good morning on the forehead.
You turned your head to the left to take a look at your boyfriend. Sirius's head was laying on his arms, his black curls, surprisingly messy today, were all spread over the table and dangerously close to the food.
With a frown, you scooped up his long hair and tied it back in a little bun, and gently stroked his head. You gazed at James until he met your eyes. When he did, you tilted you head toward the raven-haired boy with a questioning look in your eyes. James only shrugged, shaking his head slightly.
Worried, you finished eating while keeping an eye on Sirius.
***
Once everybody was done eating (you forced Sirius to at least drink a cup of tea), you all went back to the common room to go get your things before leaving.
Sirius and you were slowly trailing behind everybody else. He's complexion was even paler than usual and he was dragging his feet on the floor, slouching. Not at all his fancy Pureblood perfect posture or confidant strut. Sirius had tried cracking a few jokes when he realized you seemed genuinely worried about him, but you didn't fell for it.
After entering the Gryffindor common room, you pulled him aside by the fire. It was the middle of February, it was freezing outside and the fireplace was casting a warm glow in the room. Sirius raised his eyes to meet your frown with a sheepish smile on.
That made you frown ever harder.
"What's up with you today ?" you asked, "and tell me the true, I don't want to go steal some veritaserum again"
Sirius chuckled a little bit, before leaning on the wall and closing his eyes. He took a big breath and opened them again, staring at you.
"I solemnly swear that I am fine" he answered in an exaggerated accent, one hand placed on his heart and the other up in the air, his chin raised haughtily.
He looked down at you and, seeing your unamused face, he sighed and pulled your body to him gently.
Kissing your hair, he murmured to you "I'm okay, just a bit tired, I promise."
Your eyes met his silver ones, a lovely smirk making it's way on his gorgeous face and creating a single dimple near his right cheek.
Unable to hold your own smile back, you reflected his expression while raising your hand to stroke his pale cheek. That's when you felt it and you immediately backed away, your eyes wide open.
"you're so hot !" you stated, as a matter of fact.
Sirius, who had stop moving from the moment you had touched his face, took his chance and grinned cockily.
"I know, Love."
Now it was your turn to close your eyes as you rubbed your temples with your hand with an exasperated sigh. Someone remind me why I chose this man as my boyfriend please. You thought, as Sirius watch you with a proud smirk.
"Not like th- ok, yeah, like that too, you git." you conceded, "But really, you're literally burning, I'm taking you to Madam Pomfrey, come on"
Still, Sirius refused to move. He only crossed his arms with a pout and muttered something that sound like "I'm not sick".
You then made an attempt to grab his hand, but he dodged and started running up the stairs to his dorm as he whined "I don't want to go" like a kid, almost bumping in a second year as he made his way up.
You bit the inside of your cheek to stop you from screaming and followed your boyfriend to his room. In the dorm, James, Remus and Peter were getting ready to leave. They pointed toward their restroom, where a repelling sound was coming from.
With a millionth sigh, you poked your head inside the small room and saw a bunch of black hair hovering over the loo. Sirius was grabbing the toilet bowl as he spilled his empty guts inside.
You kneeled beside him and scooped his hair up once again and rubbed his back softly.
Once he was done, he looked up at you, tears in his eyes from retching and sweat sliding down his forehead, looking even paler now.
"Y/N, I'm siiiiiiick" he moaned with a ridiculous pout.
At this moment, James head appeared at the door, glancing at your boyfriend, then at you.
"Padfoot clearly isn't coming to Hogsmeade, but are you still coming with us Y/N/N ?"
You were about to respond, when something, well... someone, grabbed your arm. "Noooo. You can't leave me Love, I'm dyiiiing"
You tried to push him away, but it only made it worse. Now he was clutching your waist and was attempting to wrap his legs around you.
Despite the pleading look you were sending James, the boy with the glasses only chuckled at the scene and left with the Marauders for Hogsmeade. Just before he departed the dorm, he yelled "Sorry Y/N but it seems that your baby koala needs you !" A door being slammed shut was following soon after.
With a grunt, you finally detangled the marsupial from your body and got up. You summoned a glass of water and handed it to Sirius, who was spread on the floor, before using scourgify to clean up the mess.
Once it was done, you look down at the second mess that was your boyfriend. You bend down to brush away the strand of hair that was sticking to his sweaty forehead. With your help, Sirius regained his bed, where he waited while you chose something comfortable for him to wear in bed.
When he was in his pyjama (you had to return to his trunk, because he wanted the one that James's parent gifted him for Christmas), he settled under his gryffindor blanket and begged you to his side.
You sat next to him, back against the bed frame and pulled his sleepy head on your laps. His arms sneaked around your waist as your fingers worked on detangling the knot formed in his silky black hair. You accio a bin just in case he would vomit again, and sent a message to the house elves in the kitchen to bring up some chicken soup, tea and sweets for you both. Almost instantly, two elves knocked on your door before entering with the foods and setting it on the nightstand. You smiled thankfully and gave them each one sickle for their service.
You tried to make the boy eat, but it was no use. Instead, you decided to let him sleep as you keep playing with his curls.
Once you made sure he was completely asleep, you really delicately, and with painful slowness, raised his head from your laps and slipped away from his bed. You went into the dorm's restroom and wetted a cloth in the sink. Coming back into the room, you approached Sirius's bed and, folding the damp cloth on itself, placed it on his burning forehead to lower his temperature. Then, you tucked the covers around his sleeping form with a loving gaze and decided to clean up the messy room, having nothing else to do.
However, you let go of this idea soon after, as you realized the extent of the chore and remembered that four teenager boys, worse, the Marauders, you think to yourself, reside here almost all year long. Piles and piles of crumpled papers were scattered across the room, some of them looking like plans for upcoming pranks, others like lists of products to buy from Zonko's and you even thought you recognized old essays and homework due long ago.
Dozen of dungbombs's boxes and a bunch of supplies from the jokes shop, including a weird-looking neon green slime that you sweared just moved, were displayed on the floor. On top of all that, wrapping of sweets and an incredible amount of chocolate frog's boxes were tossed under the beds, mostly under Remus's. Of course, the walls were covered of blast marks, holes and other "prank souvenirs" you prefer not knowing about.
Instead, you left the boys's dorm and went to yours to go get the book you were currently reading. You came back soon after and sat on James bed to not disturb your sleeping boyfriend.
***
About 25 minutes later, you heard something mumbled from where Sirius was sleeping. You put the book aside and moved to his bedside.
You pushed his long hair out of his face, meeting two half-open silver eyes still full of sleep. The cloth you had wet had fallen off his head and was now laying beside him on the pillow.
"What did you said ?" you whispered, stroking his rosy cheek.
"I said I'm sorry." he repeated with a hoarse voice. That made you frown in confusion.
"What are you sorry about, Pup ?" You asked with a questioning look. He moved so he was now propped up on his elbows. His beautiful grey eyes were full of sorrow when they met yours.
"I had plan a nice date for us today at Hogsmeade, but now we can't go because of me. So I'm sorry to have ruined it. I feel so bad." he explained, his voice now wobbly.
At that confession, you almost burst out laughing at him for being so dramatic. But when you looked again in his eyes, you saw how genuine and truly sad he was for missing the date he had spent the week preparing, according to Remus. So, you swallowed back your laughs and instead bent down to kiss fondly his still-hot forehead.
"It's alright, we're still spending time together aren't we ? Maybe not over a butterbeer, but still... and anyway, I didn't really felt like going out, it's freezing outside. We're so much better here." You reassured your boyfriend with a soothing voice, your fingers now tracing the shape of his perfect face.
It immediately brought a smile to his face, lighten him up and making him seem less sick all of a sudden. You were about to go back to reading when you got pulled back and into the bed. A pair of arms holding you close to a body.
"Stay with me and cuddles ?" Sirius pleaded, his honeyed voice muffled by your hair in his face. Even thought it was asked as a question, you knew very well that "No" wasn't going to be an accepted answer. Not as if you were going to decline his request anyway.
So, you turned around in his hold to end up face-to-face with Sirius, your noses almost touching, and sneaked your arms around him, one hand in his hair and the other rubbing his back.
"Are you feeling better ?"
"Yeah, but maybe you shouldn't be that close to me" Sirius murmured, trying to back away from you "I don't want you to get sick"
Still, your grip on him tighten and you answered with a grin "But if I get sick, you'll have to take care of me and we'll have to spend more time together"
Sirius sighed, unsure, but smirk nonetheless, pulling you close, your bodies against each others. He went to kiss you on the mouth, but you looked down so he kissed your hair instead. You didn't want to get sick on purpose, though.
The warmth of his skin was comforting on the cold day, so you buried your head in his neck, letting the heat flooded you and warmed you up.
As you did so, you felt yourself being slightly lift when the black-haired boy moved to lay on his back, pulling you with him at the same time. You ended up laying on top of him, still snuggled up in the gap between his shoulder and his head. Being in the perfect position to do so, you decided to attack his neck with quick kisses from his jawline down to his collarbone, which you knew he absolutely adored.
You kept going for a while, until he suddenly pushed you off of him and bent over the edge to puck in the bin you had set near his bed in case something like this happen. After spitting one last time, he turned back to you, sobbing like a baby and tears falling down his cheeks.
You stared at him, not knowing why he was suddenly crying ; it wasn't the first time he had puke today ? Then, seeing your confused gaze, Sirius sniffed and took a strand of his hair between his fingers, showing it to you. Now you understood. Since you had take off the hair tie earlier, some of his black curls had fall into his face as he threw up, resulting in having some vomit in his precious hair.
You couldn't contain your laugh this time and let out a small chuckle, immediately feeling guilty when Sirius broke down crying even harder.
So, as the amazing partner you were, you sighed and helped your weeping boyfriend into his restroom before pulling his head into the sink and rinsing off all the vomit for him. Once you had make sure everything was cleaned, you took out your wand and got his hair dry.
Your commitment was reward as you look at Sirius, the sight making your heart melt. Despite his face still red and wet, he managed to give you a weak smile of gratitude, head slightly bent on the side and dimples digging his cheeks. The quiet "thank you" he whispered almost being the death of you.
Your thumbs went up to wipe away what remains of his tears, his hands quickly coming to rest on top of yours on each side of his face as you were doing so. He closed his eyes, and as much as you wanted to pull him back into the bed so he could get more sleep, you couldn't bring yourself to move from this sweet position you were in. So you stayed like that for some minutes, his forehead now against yours.
Finally, you decided to pull back and you led him to his bed. Except, you were the one to get under the covers this time, and you opened your arms out, willing him to come. He of course obliged, and laid on top of your body delicately, putting himself in the exact same position you were earlier. His arms made their way around you while yours rested on his back.
Then, you reached toward the nightstand and grabbed your wand. You levitated a vinyl to Sirius's turntable and closed the bed curtains, creating a more intimate and dark place for you both to sleep, before setting down your wand.
Landslide by Fleetwood Mac started to play and you sighed in content. Everything was perfect at that moment. You hands came back to their original position on Sirius's back and you slid your fingers up and down his column in a soothing motion, knowing this would get him back to sleep fast.
You were right. Soon enough, his breathing was now at a slow and regular pace, his head resting on your chest got heavier, and his whole body had stop wiggling.
With a tired smile, you kissed the top of his head lovingly, taking in his scent. Fragrance of smoke, cedarwood and amber that makes you dizzy. Then, resting your chin and cheek on his head, you finally were ready to fall asleep yourself. You wanted to make sure he was comfortable before even thinking to allow your eyes to close.
You felt the sleep getting to you fast, and the second before you dozed off, you heard an almost imperceptible sound.
"I love you so much, sweetheart"
You drift off to sleep on those six words, a smile still on your face.
***
The next Hogsmeade weekend, you had a butterbeer warming up your hands and your boyfriend warming up your heart with the way he was looking at you.
A retching noise gracefully broke the beautiful moment between you and Sirius, as James threw up in his bin. Two other similar sounds were soon following. You gazed towards the boys's beds, as Sirius went over to them, making sure they were alright.
You had just threw up yourself minutes ago. It was now their turn you guessed, as the four of you were tucked into bed, all sick, while Sirius was taking care of you all.
You didn't knew when you would finally be able to go on a date at Hogsmeade with Sirius, having missing two already. The thought leaving you a bit sad and pouty. But when the healthy boy was done checking on his friends, he came back and laid by your side, closing the curtains and pulling you to him, cuddling with you.
I guess that would do too, you thought to yourself, a grin making it's way on your face, Sirius's arms tightening around your body as you snuggle even closer. This is perfect.
