"What?" [Villain] asks.

It's my 2 year anniversary on Tumblr 🥳
So. I had no clue and all I did today was revise for exams. But I might write something as a special. Hopefully.

I need this somewhere saved so I can write it when I have the time
Prompt #86
"I don't think I belong here," the villain said.
The hero held them tighter as they danced, movements slow yet sharp when the music required it. "Nonsense. You're doing beautifully."
"I dance well, yes, but...the people--" The villain wasn't sure how to describe it. The hairs on the back of their neck had raised the second they entered the ballroom, heartbeat hitching in a way they couldn't understand. "I just think it's n-not my crowd."
"We had an agreement though," the hero reminded smoothly. "You do this one little favour for me, and I help you with your plans. You still want that, right?"
The villain didn't just want that, they needed that. Desperately. They wouldn't have come to the hero otherwise. But there was something about this place that was scaring them: the villain couldn't quite put their finger on it but it felt like the other guests were watching them without even turning their heads.
"How about this?" the hero tried to reason, the villain's faint distress apparently showing. "One more dance and then I'll take you home."
One more dance...
The villain could do one more dance.
Though, perhaps, if they had known that they were the only human in a room full of vampires they might have changed their mind.

Prompt #8
"Since we have some time to kill and I am extremely bored" Supervillain started "Why did you decide to join me? What's your story?"
Villain looked at Supervillain for a good second. They blinked a few times.
"A simple quote" they paused and Supervillain raised an eyebrow "Be gay, do crime"

Prompt #9
A former vigilante goes to their first parents teacher conference at a new school. They're a little bit worried because they want to make a good impression but they're not exactly sure if the teachers or if the other parents knew of their former identity.
As they walk inside the room they notice that 80% of the parents are villains or retired villains. The rest of the 20% are either other retired vigilantes or retired heroes. The headmaster is a supervillain

Snippet #2
Henchman liked their job. They loved it. But they didn't want to deal with their coworkers, and with their boss, more than they had to. Sure Villain wasn't horrible but they weren't exactly great either. Well they were a villain after all, were they not?
Henchman opened the door to their shared apartment with Hero, their sibling. Sure Henchman was older and they were a bit overprotective of Hero they always made sure that there would be no suspicions from either side of their relationship. If the agency found out that Hero had a sibling on Villain's side they definitely wouldn't let them have a moment of privacy.
When they entered the apartment they were met with Hero giving them a big smile. A nervous one.
"What did you do?" Henchman started.
"Why would you think I did something? Can't I just smile at my favorite sibling?" Hero responded
Henchman raised Hero. They could tell when Hero was lying. But, right now, Hero also wasn't trying really hard to lie.
"So" hero broke the silence "Are you free tomorrow?"
"Why? I am but I want to know why." Henchman looked at Hero, trying to figure out what they were hiding.
"Great! I want you to meet someone very special to me!" Hero jumped.
"It's a friend, right?" Henchman said.
Hero froze.
A moment passed.
It's a friend, right? Henchman repeated themselves.
Hero looked at their sibling.
"It's my partner."
"Miezo cu mila" (translation: God help us) Henchman spoke. "So when am I meant to meet with them?"
"Tomorrow, at 2 pm, at the coffee shop nearby" Hero responded.
"Alright, I'll be going to bed now" Henchman tried to sound tired. But they obviously failed. Their acting was shit, that's why Villain never sent them undercover.
Henchman arrived early at the coffee shop. Ordered a coffee and sat down. This was going to be a ride.
The alarm on their phone rang. It was 2 pm. Hero and their partner should be here any moment now.
The door of the coffee shop opened. It was hero. Hero and their partner.
They walked towards the table Henchman was at.
"Henchman! I'm so glad you could make it, and you're punctual, a record" hero spoke
"Oh Fuck off" henchman spoke.
They looked up from their phone. Henchman froze.
"That's— That's your partner?" Henchman couldn't believe two things. That they were stuttering and their eyes.
"Yes, I know they have a bit of a reputation but I promise you, they're the sweetest person ever!"
Henchman looked at Hero's partner. And they looked at them. God, out of every possible person on this damn planet. Why them? Why Villain?!
"It's truly a pleasure to meet you again, Henchman, I would have never thought you'd be related to such a happy person." Villain spoke.
"What can I say? My mom made a treasure" henchman laughed nervously, giving hero a side eye.
The meet up went great. Villain was much nicer than their usual self but it was to be expected. They had to make an impression of who they were for Hero.
Villain even offered to pay for everyone's drinks. While henchman was quite sure they were just being polite and had no intention of actually doing that they gave in and let Villain pay for their second coffee. It wasn't much but that was one way to get Villain to pay for being a pain in Henchman's ass.
That night when Hero asked their older sibling what thoughts they had on their lover, Henchman's only response was "You're really that desperate that you went for my boss?"

Hello!
I'm Sky and I'm quite new to Writeblrs :') I've been here since March 2023
I mainly like to write about characters in the hero and Villain universe but I also have some stories of my own that I can hope to share one day :D
Looking for New Writeblrs!
With the recent twitter exodus and bot spam flooding my notes, I want to find new people who are actually people. I know y'all are there lurking, so take this as an opportunity to introduce yourself and turn this into a follow train! I'll go first...
You can call me Etta or Etta Grace, and I write fantasy of all kinds. Most of my stories resolve around family dynamics, and I run a website where I post weekly book reviews, writing advice, excerpts, and goals. I've been involved on writeblr since Summer 2019 and so I know a fair number of folks here, but I'm always happy to meet new people and learn about your WIPs! If you're not sure how to get involved in the community, my DMs and asks are always open!
I can recommend checking out these blogs too!

So while I was writing something for my best friend I accidentally messed up a few words.
Then it hit me.
The best way you can have creative names for your characters (especially if you write another world or something) is using messed up words.
Examples: Amek, Cahir, Syk, Atble
The list may go on. Anyone who sees this, feel free to continue the list :D

Prompt #6
Villain tried to sneak into Sidekicks apartment. The best way to get rid of Hero's little helper was to do it while no one was watching, in the dead of the night.
What they did not expect was to see Sidekick concentrating on some papers.
"Hero paperwork?" Villain asked, trying to scare Sidekick.
"No, it's worse" Sidekick responded not looking up from their work "Are you any good at algebra?"
"I'm offended that you would ask me that"

Easter with the sidekick
The agency let most heroes go home earlier. All of them had families they wanted to spend time with. And who would cause trouble during the holidays? Even the villains had better stuff to do.
While most heroes were home getting ready to have dinner with their loved ones, hero's sidekick was on patrol. Well more like mumbling to themselves while not paying attention to what was happening around them.
"Stupid agency, making me work during Easter too. So what if I don't have a family to spend it with? I still want to have some time off, but nooo since I don't have anyone to spend my time with I can just come in for some extra unpaid hours!" they kept on complaining thinking no one will hear them.
But what they did not know was that someone really wanted to cause trouble during Easter. But it looks like they heard sidekicks complaining and got curious.
"My oh my, I never thought I'd hear a hero talk shit about the agency, much less a sidekick" the person behind them spoke.
Sidekick froze.
They knew that voice. They heard it a couple times while on missions with hero. Supervillain.
Supervillain took a couple of steps towards sidekick until they were next to them. Not too close but also not too far.
There was a moment of silence between the two. Sidekick definitely wasn't going to break it. They were horrified of Supervillain.
"So—" Supervillain started "How come you're out here and not home eating whatever mommy cooked ya?" They had something of a mocking tone and sidekick wanted to punch it out of them.
But they didn't respond, hell they didn't even look at Supervillain.
"I do believe your parents are worried sick—"
"I don't have any parents to worry about me, now can you stop? You're getting on my last nerve" sidekick interrupted but they quickly realized what they just did.
"I am so so sorry, I don't know what got a hold of me!" They started apologizing, hoping Supervillain wasn't mad. If it were Superhero they would have been punished by now.
"Kid, it's quite alright, it's been a while since someone had the balls to say something like that to me" Supervillain let out a small chuckle "But seriously now, you really don't have any family? Any friends perhaps?"
Sidekick shook their head. Any friends they had were heroes. But they weren't really friends, if anything sidekick was the punchline of their jokes.
"And the agency decided to have you on patrol because?" Supervillain continued and sidekick had no idea if they actually cared or if they just wanted information from them. But who actually cares?
"They think that since they picked me off the streets they own me, and can demand anything from me."
"So let me see if I got this right" Supervillain said seeming quite annoyed "they have a lonely orphan" "Hey!" "Shut it! They have a lonely orphan do their work? That's low, even for the agency"
"Well it's the truth, and I don't want to know what happens if I disobey their order"
"Go home." Supervillain spoke. The scary tone they had returned making sidekick shiver.
"But what about—"
"I said go home."
Silence.
Sidekick was looking directly in Supervillains eyes. They were scared of whatever Supervillain would do if they didn't comply.
Sidekick ran to their locker for their stuff and went home. It was better to have the heroes scold them than to have Supervillain kill them.
At least tonight they would get some sleep.
They woke up close to 1 pm. They really must have been exhausted.
They went into their kitchen to get a glass of water and hopefully eat some cereal if they still had any.
To their surprise they found a basket with a bunch of sweets. They were pretty sure you could find any type of sweets in that basket. And they were the expensive kind. The kind sidekick could only dream when they were a kid.
Along with the gift there was a small note "Happy Easter, kid!"

"what parents?"
"I beg your pardon?"
While I am aware this is supposed to be serious I can't think of anything else.
Prompt #172
“I wanted Cheerios,” the young hero complained as Villain set the bowl of cereal down in front of them.
Villain frowned. “Don’t be a brat and wait for your parent to get here. I doubt they know what you’ve been doing, and if they do we’re going to have words.”

Prompt #5
“What is that smell?” Hero asked.
“Oh nothing much! I’m just making you breakfast!” Villain responded with a smile on their face.
Hero had so many questions: What are you doing here? How did you get in? What happened last night?
But all of those questions had to wait, since Villain pointed at the chair besides them, signaling for Hero to sit down. And since they had a knife in their hand, Hero did not take the risk and sat down.
Villain took a plate and put the omlet (or what was left of it) on it, then gave it to Hero.
Hero looked at it for a moment, then back at Villain wondering if this was some sick joke.
“It’s burnt” Hero said.
“It’s made with love not with skill” Villain responded.

Prompt #4
"You're getting sloppy" The hero said, dodging another one of Villain's attacks.
Villain did not respond. They kept on throwing punches. But Hero was just faster than them. The hero punched the Villain once, giving them a chance to take their hands and pin them above their head. With their free hand Hero took off Villains mask, revealing the dark circles under Villains eyes.
Hero took a second to look at Villain.
"My sweet little raccoon."

Do you have any rules for using (or not) your prompts?
Not really, maybe just tag me if you write your story based on them. But it's mainly because I wanna read what stories people came up with :D
