“Hyung please!” Kyungjoo had climbed up onto the tiny dresser which sat between the two sets of bunkbeds in the room, and was leaning his chin against the safety railing of one of the top bunks. “Please go with me? I’ll set everything up and pay, just please.”
Sungjin glanced over the top of the textbook he was currently trying to work through. It seemed his Korean was in need of some refreshing, and their manager had given him a workbook to get through while they were on a short break from school. “Why don’t you ask Sooyoung hyung? You were both talking about the new game that’s coming out earlier.”
Kyungjoo’s face turned into an even more exaggerated pout. “Because Sooyoung hyung is already playing on the computer in the main room.” He shifted to crawl up onto the bed beside Sungjin, who had to move quickly to keep from damaging the workbook or possibly causing Kyungjoo to fall. “Please?”
“What about the other hyungs?” Sungjin tried to appear as disinterested as possible in hopes that maybe Kyungjoo would get tired of his lack of response and simply drop the subject.
Of course, with Kyungjoo that was a high improbability.
“They’re all busy or out somewhere. Jiseok hyung has something at the company building, Taeyeol hyung and Jaesoo hyung went out earlier, Sooyoung hyung is using the computer in the dorm.” Kyungjoo’s face remained in a pout that was almost comically exaggerated.
“What about Sunwoo hyung?” Sungjin raised an eyebrow at the younger. Aside from himself, Kyungjoo seemed to spend most of his time around the older rapper.
Kyungjoo huffed and dropped his head down onto the pillow he had seemingly claimed as his own for now. “Sunwoo hyung is cleaning.” He buried his face in the pillow with a small whine before turning back to Sungjin. “Save me, hyung. If Sunwoo hyung comes in here to clean then he’ll make us clean our closet and beds. He might even insist on the bathroom!”
Sungjin couldn’t stop the tiny huff of air chuckle. While they all had chores and helped out around the dorm, it was Sunwoo hyung who did the majority of the cleaning. And if he divided up the cleaning tasks among the others, it always seemed to fall to Kyungjoo to clean the bathrooms. A task which the youngest would pout about until one of the others (generally Sungjin) would give in and help him with.
Knowing there would be no escaping Kyungjoo’s begging, Sungjin sighed and marked the page of his workbook and closed it. “Okay, fine. But we’re only going to stay for a few hours. And we’re not going to the big cafe, we’re just going to the one a few blocks away.”
Kyungjoo jumped up at the agreement from Sungjin, nearly hitting his head on the ceiling before realising that the top bunk was really close to the ceiling. “Really? Awesome! Let’s go!” He grabbed Sungjin’s arm, pulling it with a grin.
Sungjin laughed and shook his head, reaching to catch Kyungjoo before he got too close to the edge and potentially fell. He was pretty sure that the company would not approve of Kyungjoo breaking his leg or another limb.
“Careful!” Sungjin laughed and shifted on the bed, moving to help Kyungjoo climb down.
When Kyungjoo reached the floor, he reached to motion for Sungjin. “Come on, hyung! Let’s go!” He bounced lightly on his feet, laughing with a big grin.
Sungjin shook his head, putting the book down near the edge of the bed where he could reach it when he climbed down. He knew there was really no stopping Kyungjoo once he got excited about something, so he might as well simply go ahead and go with him. “Okay, okay. Have you asked the hyungs if we were allowed to go?”
Kyungjoo stopped bouncing for a moment before pausing with a slight frown. Sungjin reached the floor and shook his head, reaching to pull the workbook down from the bed and moved to set it on the dresser between the beds.
Sungjin sighed with a small smile before laughing. “Go ask Sunwoo hyung. I need to get ready to go out.” He gently pushed Kyungjoo towards the door.
After Kyungjoo hurried out, Sungjin turned to stand in front of the small closet area. While he hoped there wouldn’t be any possible fans, but there was always the possibility. It was one of the things that he still couldn’t get used to. They were still a new group, but he wasn’t sure he would ever really grow accustomed to the almost constant eyes.
He pulled out a sweater and pair of jeans, and quickly changed, folding his lounging clothes and setting them back on his bunk. While most of the time when any of the group would go out they would be careful to show a put together look, he didn’t want to spend as much time as the normal routine, so he grabbed a baseball cap (that he was pretty sure might actually belong to Sooyoung hyung) and a mask.
“Hyung, come on let’s go!” Kyungjoo burst back into the room, running over. “Sunwoo hyung said we could go. He gave us the phone to take, so let’s do a stream! Taeyeol hyung and Jaesoo hyung had one earlier, so let’s do one too!” Kyungjoo bounced on the balls of his feet, grinning excitedly.
Sungjin pulled the cap on, closing his eyes for a moment before nodding to Kyungjoo, barely containing the chuckle at the excited noise he made. He grabbed his wallet from the dresser and tucked it in his pocket, motioning towards the door. “Come on then.”
Kyungjoo grabbed Sungjin’s arm and started pulling him towards the door. “I heard the new update is supposed to be the best storyline and there’s more characters and you get to choose from several side quests depending on your character and you get different added bonuses.”
“Be back by curfew. And try not to cause a stir, we don’t need anyone following you home or causing any drama.” Sunwoo called out from the kitchen of the dorm. “And don’t eat too much of the food there. We’re starting concert rehearsals in the morning. And I’m cooking.”
Sungjin chuckled softly before calling out, continuing to the door. “Yes, mom.”
Kyungjoo burst out laughing and quickly jumped behind Sungjin as Sunwoo walked out of the kitchen. “It was Sungjin hyung!”
Sungjin spun around, staring at Kyungjoo in betrayal before turning back to Sunwoo. “Kyungjoo says it too. Everyone does. Well, except for Jiseok hyung.”
Sunwoo sighed with a smile. “That’s because he has the misfortune of being the father of you troublemakers.” He motioned off towards the door. “Go ahead if you’re going. Don’t cause too much of a stir. Taeyeol hyung and Jaesoo hyung have already caused enough for a whole week.”
Sungjin laughed at the exasperated expression on Sunwoo’s face. While Sunwoo might be younger than several of the other members, he was one who looked after the members the most. Aside from Jiseok.
“Come on, hyung! Let’s go!” Kyungjoo grabbed Sungjin’s arm and started pulling him along again. There would be no way of postponing the trip any longer.

Land & Sea Entertainment Information [part three]
so for any of you who care about the fictional kpop groups / company that have shown up in a few Sirens based ideas and such - the maknae line of the younger boys group is here for your perusal ... and with that completes the music groups in the company thus far
I’ll put it under a cut for those who don’t care or such ... for any who read, I hope you enjoy, and feel free to share any thoughts or such
as always, I hope you’re all having a wonderful day / night! :)

MEMBERS PROFILES - PART TWO
Tumblr media Tumblr media
PI [aka Jung Sooyoung]
Second Vocalist / Dancer
the only one in the company to have a stage name (at least thus far)
his stage name comes from the math/science term - because his birthday is March 14th
super nerd (obviously - given stage name) and loves video games
loves puns and is known to post them (and poems made of them) to the group’s sns accounts - he also loves memes
in the maknae line technically - but is only a few weeks younger than Sunwoo, so they are both the same sort of age / friendship
the unofficial one in charge of their group vlogs
has a pet corgi (named Hotteok - yes, named after the food) who has a bit of a fan following as well and is jokingly referred to as the eighth member of the group
a bit of a foodie - has recorded a few mukbang vlives
Ravenclaw (individualistic, witty)
[ face: Jung Hae In ]
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Kang Sungjin
Second Rapper (can also sing but is HIGHLY self-conscious so doesn’t much)
he’s from overseas - his parents still live there and thus doesn’t get to see them as often as any of the others
is also multi-lingual because of this
he and Kyungjoo have a bit of an age gap between them and their hyungs (Sungjin is nearly two years younger than PI, and Kyungjoo is about six months younger than Sungjin) - so they’re both treated as the maknae and doted on
is generally seen as soft fluff beb, but he can also do the strong stage presence at times
most athletic member (his main sport is soccer) ... one time at the company building he had been playing around with a soccer ball in one of the practice rooms and Hyunmin (from Titans) came in and after Sungjin repeatedly bowed and apologised and such, Hyunmin asked if he would like a practice partner ... and now he regularly plays soccer with Hyunmin (and is possibly going to play for an upcoming ISAC’s game as well)
Hufflepuff (loyal, caring)
[ face: Nam Da Reum ]
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Baek Kyungjoo
Maknae / Second Dancer / Sub-Rapper
former child actor, still does some acting on the side as well
variety king - along with Sunwoo (and Sukwon from Titans)
is very smol and fluff - but also wacky and LOUD
is projected to likely qualify to become a member of MENSA after finishing school
does not follow the L&S trend of satan maknaes - he is a precious little floof
he does however get into Kinam’s prank wars (which mostly ends up with him doing something silly)
horror / haunted type mission games are hilarious with him - because he giggles the entire time (once he accidentally startled a member of the scare cast - to which he apologised profusely)
Ravenclaw (quirky, intelligent)
[ face: Park Gun Tae ]

Make You Feel My Love [part 10]
so here it is ... finally another part to this story that has rambled on for almost two years now ...
I know it might upset some of our readers to hear, but this will be the last full part of the story (there will be an epilogue that I am already in the process of writing so it hopefully won’t take too long) but as for actual parts, this is the last ... to all of the readers who had liked and sent messages and made comments about the story, I am truly thankful, you don’t know how much your support has meant to me ... the outpouring of interest and reactions to this story have completely overwhelmed me and I still cannot believe that there are people who have become so invested in a small story that I’ve been writing ... and to the anon who had first sent the request that started this story to spiral into existence, I don’t know if you are still here with the blog or if you’re still reading, but I do hope you have enjoyed this ... to all of our readers, I hope that you have enjoyed this story, you are all so wonderful and I am so thankful for each and every one of you
I’m so sorry that it has taken so long for everything and all the updates, but I do hope that you will all enjoy
I hope you’re having a wonderful day / night! you are all so wonderful! :)

Angst / Fluff
You felt a dull ache in your head and a weight next to your side when you slowly started regaining consciousness. Your eyelids felt like they were glued shut, and it took more of an effort to open them than you had expected. When you managed to pull your eyes open, you saw that it was Sanghyuk who had seemingly fallen asleep beside you, his head having dropped to the mattress beside you. Although the fact that you were lying on a mattress confused you for a moment. The last thing you remembered-
“Princess! You’re awake!”
The sound of Jinyoung, one of the surgeon’s assistants, startled you, causing Sanghyuk to jump back to a sitting position, glancing around the room with his hand curled around the sword that you now saw he held in his lap. Jinyoung walked over and reached to gently touch your head, checking a bandage that you had wrapped around your head.
“Princess, are you hurting anywhere? Do you know where you are?” Jinyoung’s voice was pitched in a soothing tone, but the memory of what had happened just before you had lost consciousness caused your heart to race.
“Jaehwan! Where is he? Is he okay?” You tried to move to stand, but the world quickly started to spin when you reached a sitting position. You closed your eyes to try and stop the spinning so you could stand, but a hand on your shoulder was pushing you to lay back down in the bed. You glanced between Sanghyuk and Jinyoung, feeling the panic start to choke you. “Is Jaehwan okay? I need to see him.” Without meaning to, your eyes started to flood with tears, your voice cracking.
“The surgeon has been with him. You need to rest. Keep from worrying yourself overly much.” The attempted soothing tone of Jinyoung’s voice and the way he was refusing to meet your eyes as he continued checking over you for any injuries simply caused your heart to race more. The fear was suffocating and you pushed aside his hands, shifting yourself into a sitting position and forcing yourself to ignore the way the world began to spin again.
“Tell me the truth. If you refuse to let me see him, then tell me the truth. That’s a command.” You tried to steel your voice, hating that you were using your position to get someone else to do what you wanted. But you were determined to find out what had happened to Jaehwan. For better or worse, you had to know.
“The surgeon has been with him. That is the truth. I was sent to watch over you shortly after the prince was carried into the surgeon’s chambers. I don’t know the truth of how he is.” Jinyoung’s voice had dropped to a softer tone that felt more honest.
You shifted to push yourself to stand, ignoring the protests from both Jinyoung and Sanghyuk. “I have to see him. I need to know if he is okay.” You swayed slightly on your feet, but willed yourself to keep standing. “Now take me to him. Please.” You glanced between the two of them, giving them both the closest look to a plea you could. While you knew that it would be foolish and highly dangerous, you were determined to go on your own if they refused to take you.
You heard Sanghyuk sigh before you saw him nod. “You won’t rethink the matter of staying in bed. So of course I must go with you.”
Jinyoung shook his head. “Princess, I can’t allow you to leave. You need to rest. Don’t worry yourself over too much. The prince is being looked after.”
Crossing your arms across your chest, you turned to fix what you hoped was an intimidating glare on the surgeon’s assistant. “I don’t need to remind you of who you’re speaking to, correct?” You hated using your position, but you had to do this. You knew you wouldn’t be able to think properly until you had ensured that Jaehwan was safe.
You watched as you could see the internal debate flicker across Jinyoung’s face. It was obvious that he did not want to let you leave, but he also knew what disobeying a royal command meant. He sighed and dropped his head. “Of course not, princess. I apologise. I am merely focusing on your health and recovery. I can see you will not rest until you have news of your prince. Forgive me.”
You walked over and rested a hand on his arm. “I understand. You were merely doing your job. I’m sorry. I just-”
“You shouldn’t apologise to me, princess. I will go with you to the prince as well. If something were to happen and your knight needed his sword, you would be safer having another person with you.”
The words reminded you of the fact that Sir Wonshik had said the rebels were attacking. “Wait, have you heard word about the rebels? Did we capture them? Is the castle safe?” You felt a ball of worry fall to the pit of your stomach.
Sanghyuk nodded with a bit of a grin. “It’s safe. Sir Taekwoon captured the attempted assassin, and after Sir Wonshik brought you to my chambers, he ran back out and managed to grab your uncle as he was trying to escape the castle. Your guards had closed the gates as soon as the shouts started. Sir Minhyuk had commanded extra precautions for the event, just in case. Luckily he did, otherwise the attack might have been harder to defeat. Sir Wonshik told me that even your mother managed to take care of one of the rebels. It seems she is quite fierce with daggers.” He grinned mischievously.
“Of course she is. She is from one of the northern kingdoms. They don’t adhere to the same sort of ideals about female royals as some of the coastal kingdoms.” You felt a surge of pride for a moment at the idea of your mother managing to fight the people who had killed your father in return. You gave Sanghyuk a smirk. “My preferred weapon is actually the sword, although I am a fair shot with a bow as well.”
You watched as Sanghyuk’s eyes widened for a moment before he burst out laughing. “I would love to see that some time.”
You nodded with a smile. “Deal. But now, I need to see Jaehwan.”
Sanghyuk nodded, his face dropping back to a more serious expression. “Of course. If you would follow me.”
You followed behind Sanghyuk, trying to keep from letting the worry climb back up and choke you again. You had to believe that Jaehwan would be alright. That he would be safe. You had to believe it.
Sanghyuk stopped in front of the surgeon’s chambers sooner than you had realised. He nodded to the door. “Shall I knock?” You didn’t trust your voice, so instead you simply nodded.
A brief moment after Sanghyuk knocked his knuckles against the wood, the door opened and Youngjae glanced around between the three of you before bowing. “Princess. You’re awake, that’s a relief. Although you should be resting. Is everything-”
“I have to see Jaehwan.” You interrupted. While a part of you hated being so harsh with the people you knew were simply doing their jobs, you also knew that you wouldn’t be able to breathe until you were reassured that Jaehwan was going to be okay. You refused to think of any other option.
“He’s asleep.”
The words were simple, but they reassured you and you felt like you could breathe again. Jaehwan was asleep. He was okay. You felt your legs weaken and nearly collapsed to the floor, only barely being caught by Jinyoung.
“Princess! You must rest. You are not fully recovered yourself.”
You ignored the worried words from Jinyoung, instead focusing on Youngjae. “Can I see him? I just need to see that he is going to be okay.”
You felt Jinyoung’s arms stiffen as he kept a tight hold on you to keep you from falling, and you noticed Youngjae bite his lip for a moment before nodding with a slight sigh. “You shouldn’t stay long, Princess. You have yet to fully recover yourself, and the Prince is asleep as well.”
You nodded, pushing yourself to stand straight and on your own. “I just need to see him. Then I can rest easier.” Youngjae nodded before stepping aside, holding the door farther open for you to enter the room.
The surgeon’s chambers had been a part of the castle you were never fond of. The smells of the medicines always too strong and just the inexplicable feel of sickness had always made your stomach queasy.
Jaehwan was laying in a bed along the far wall and you rushed over, dropping to your knees by the bed. He was pale, but less deathly gray than he had been the last time you had seen him. You gently brushed the hair from his face, praying that he would recover and wake soon. Now that you had allowed yourself to accept your true feelings, you didn’t want to let him go. And knowing that he loved you in return made your heart ache.
“Jaehwan, you have to stay with me. I love you.” Your voice was soft, barely a whisper, as the tears welled up in your eyes. “Stay with me. Please.” You leaned over, pressing your lips to his, feeling a few tears slip from your eyes.
“Princess, you must rest.”
The sound of Jinyoung’s voice made you remember that you were not alone. You sighed and moved to sit back, brushing your fingers along Jaehwan’s face again before slowly standing. You could feel the exhaustion settling over you, and for a moment you wondered if you should simply lie down in another bed near Jaehwan. Although you knew you could never truly rest in the surgeon’s chambers.
“Take me back to my chambers please.” Your voice was soft and tired, and you could see the worry on both Sanghyuk and Jinyoung’s faces.
“Which chambers, Princess?” Sanghyuk’s voice was softer too, and you could tell he was worried. It made you want to smile a bit. He might be brash and have a bit of a wild attitude, but it was obvious that he cared and was loyal.
“The royal chambers, please. I am tired and need to sleep. And I need-”
“Of course, Princess. I understand.” Sanghyuk interrupted you with a nod.
You followed Sanghyuk out of the surgeon’s chambers and towards the chambers you shared with Jaehwan. You hadn’t said it, but Sanghyuk seemed to understand that you needed to have something of Jaehwan with you to be able to sleep. You wouldn’t be able to truly rest, without a small reassurance that he was alive.
When you reached the chambers, Sanghyuk followed you inside and walked to a cabinet before pulling out a cloak and carrying it over to you, holding it out gently. “It’s the cloak from the betrothal feast. There’s no bad connections. Take this and rest. I’ll watch over you and keep you safe.”
You took the cloak, pulling it close to your chest, the small bit of comfort helping you to breathe a little easier. You nodded and turned towards the bed, hearing Sanghyuk walk back through the door and closing it behind him. Without bothering to change into a nightgown, you slipped off your shoes and climbed into bed, wrapping the cloak around you and drifted to sleep.
~*~
It felt like only minutes later that you were woken by a loud knocking on the door, and you jumped up, clutching Jaehwan’s cloak tight around you as you called out to Sanghyuk. The door was thrown open and the knight rushed in causing the panic to climb to your throat.
“The Prince is awake!”

what do you all think?
so I have a backstory / side story type thing for another side to my mafia series written out (it came from a dream and was a “I have to write this out so it will leave me alone” sort of thing) that I’m debating on posting here ... the only problem I can forsee with that (because it should be a good thing to post new stories and such, right?) is that I don’t want to have any fanwars starting up - since it’s for a group that isn’t listed and we haven’t really talked about or such
this blog and the admins behind it are multifandom - and yes we have our bias groups and preferences - we love and appreciate so many different groups ... and with that being said - we refuse to allow any fanwars or hate towards any groups / members / etc
so what do you all think? would you like to see another side to things? even if it’s with a different group and such? let me know - the inbox is open, we have messenger, or just a reply / such, doesn’t matter ... I hope you’re all having a wonderful day / night! :)

Is the request open or closed? ~Queennie
Requests are on-hold at the moment.
What that means is that you’re more than welcome to send something in, but understand that it might take time to for me to get to things.
~*~
At the moment I’m the only admin here and along with working a full-time job (that has been requiring mandatory overtime all month), I have been off and on with writers block - along with working on a few series / such. We have a backlog of requests in our inbox at the moment (including two previous requests that we’ve gotten from you :) - they’re on our list, I promise they haven’t been forgotten / lost / ignored), that I’m also trying to work my way through. Unfortunately with those - I can’t promise to go in order of submission as sometimes I just can’t think of what to write with it or such, and I would rather give you all as good of a quality as I can, rather than simply tossing out something just so I can say it’s done.
I’ve had to keep the blog in a state of pseudo-hiatus for much longer than I would like, but sadly outside life has demanded more from me. I am so sorry to you and everyone who has been waiting on requests and such. I wish I could do more and not have had to put the blog on a hiatus for so long and take what I’m sure feels like forever on requests and such.
I hope that you’re having a wonderful day / night! :)

Second Stages
so this is technically a little late - but I’m still claiming it on time - I haven’t gone to sleep yet, so it’s not the next day! heh ... but this is a birthday present for our admin maknae ... I had the idea while I was pondering on what I could do for the blog - and so it came to be a present drabble as well
even though it’s technically a birthday drabble for our maknae - I do hope you can all enjoy it as well ... you’re all wonderful people and I hope that you all have a wonderful day / night! :)

Fluff
You sat in the meeting with the leader of your group along with two of your group’s managers, not quite believing what they were saying. “I’m not a dancer.” You couldn’t believe they were even thinking about putting you through something like that again.
“The fans seem to disagree.”
You sent a glare to Manager Lee, who was the one in charge of looking after you. He had never been fazed by the glares or looks that you sent his way. Kinam said it was because he had grown up with a strict set of parents, and that he was the maknae among the managers for the two groups combined. Your leader had just laughed when you said something about it to her.
“You’re not the only one having a special stage. They’re making me do a duet. Another sappy love song.” Your leader wore an expression that was an odd combination of boredom and frustration. “They told me our fans want to see a softer side again. Be glad that you’re only doing one performance. I have two full weeks of promotions.” She shuddered and you heard Manager Choi scoff from across the table.
“The pessimistic act might fool your fans at times, but I know you’re a sap. I’ve seen your studio, and the hidden folder on your computer.” He grinned mischievously. Anyone who said that he was the most ‘normal’ among your group and managers, obviously didn’t know him very well. There was more than just his seniority in the company as to why he was the head manager for your group, and the one who looked after your leader.
“And I know about your figurine collection, and the fact that you run a fan account notorious for releasing spoilers in the form of fanfiction.” You stifled a laugh at the sight of your leader sticking her tongue out childishly at her manager. “So remember that. Especially since we both know you have a growing little fanbase yourself, Dark Manager Oppa.” You raised an eyebrow at the sarcastic title and the way it made Manager Choi blush slightly.
“Yes, yes, you both have blackmail on each other, we get it. Now, your special stage is in two weeks. Your show is getting a new MC and they decided it would be a good way to introduce him. So there you go. Now let’s go, you’re meeting with your partner and the choreographer is going to start trying to teach you the dance. He’s only there for three hours today, and as you said, you’re not a dancer.”
You grumbled and shot your manager another glare. “Why can’t they just have him do a solo? Or dance with Hongbin, he owes me a favor, make him do it for me.” You crossed your arms, refusing to move.
“Hongbin’s leaving the show. That’s why they’re getting another MC. Now get up before I throw you over my shoulder and drag you out of here myself. I don’t think the fans would appreciate that too much.”
You glared at him again, slowly pulling yourself up. While some people might think that an idol’s manager would be joking about saying something like that, you knew better. Manager Lee had no qualms about doing whatever he had to so that his job was done. He didn’t care if he had to embarrass you, your eonnies, or even the fans, it didn’t matter as long as he got his job done.
Keeping your arms crossed over your chest, you continued to glare at him. “Who is the new MC then? Since I’m sure you know already.”
“Of course I know, but I’m not telling you. Now, come on. The choreographer will be at the studio already and as you said - you’re not a dancer. So you need all the help you can get.”
He started pushing you towards the door, obviously not going to accept the idea of you refusing to do the special stage. You cursed the fact that you had been forced into a dance stage with Hakyeon from VIXX a year and a half ago. If you hadn’t done that, none of this would be happening.
~*~
You had sulked the entire trip to the studio, too grumpy to nap. When you stopped outside of an unfamiliar building, you turned back to Manager Lee for a moment. “Where are we? I don’t know of anybody having a company here.”
“They don’t. The choreographer’s studio is in this building. Now get out and go inside. I’ve already called and told them you would be here so you can’t disappear. The choreographer is going to be waiting inside the door, so get out of here and get in there.” When you didn’t move to get out of the van, he shrugged. “Okay, I’m going to switch all of the coffee in your dorm to decaf and tell your leader that it was you who did it.”
You felt your eyes widen. Your group had one easy to manipulate weakness. Coffee. Unfortunately for you, your manager had found out about it. And now he uses it at every turn to keep you as obedient as possible.
“You know I’ll do it too. So get out of this van and go inside before I have to resort to drastic measures that you won’t like.”
You sighed and got out of the van, thankful that there weren’t any of your fans around at the moment, because you weren’t sure you would be able to keep up the polite image at the moment. Huffing slightly, you walked inside only to be met with a short man who quickly gave you a once over with a frown before shrugging.
“They send me someone who doesn’t dance. Do they expect miracles?” The man sighed and made a motion with his hands. “Come on, might as well get started.”
You frowned as the man turned and walked off towards where his studio was. You didn’t want to be doing this any more than he obviously did, so you were dreading the ordeal even more now. Hopefully your partner would at least be good enough to make up for it. Because otherwise, this was going to be a trainwreck.
Following the choreographer into the dance practice room, you glanced around slightly, hoping to find out who you were going to be dancing with. The room was empty and you sighed. There wouldn’t be any respite from the full brunt of the choreographer’s attention now.
“I sent him to eat, he’s been here for an hour already. I asked your company to have you here earlier as well, but it’s obvious that didn’t happen.”
The choreographer had a frown on his face and you debated turning around and walking back out. That was when the door behind you opened. Rather than your mysterious partner, your manager walked in and went to sit on the long bench that stretched along one wall of the studio. There would be no escaping now. You cursed under your breath, and luckily the choreographer didn’t seem to hear it. He pointed to a spot by the mirror.
“Go sit there and watch and try to follow along. Your part isn’t hard, and it’s mostly just going to be accenting his moves. So try not to mess things up.” He gave you a pointed glare, and you cursed the PD’s for the music show you were MC-ing.
He moved to where the stereo system was set up and hit a few buttons before moving back to the middle of the room as the song started. The beat was different from the song you had done with Hakyeon, and you dropped your head back with a small thump as it hit the mirror behind you. Watching as the choreographer moved through the dance, you knew it was going to be a long two weeks.
After the song finished, the choreographer moved to pause the music again before motioning for you. “Okay, let’s get started. I only have two weeks to try and make you look somewhat professional. So get over here.”
The first few times through the choreography, you were talked through the moves by counts, sometimes being physically moved into the proper positions and such. You were even more sure it would be a long two weeks after being pushed through the choreography a few times. The choreographer was obviously getting frustrated as well, but luckily for you, the door behind you opened again and his attention shifted for a moment.
“Did you go all the way to Jeju for food?” He snapped, and you turned to see who you would be dancing with.
“Sanghyuk?”
You watched as the fellow maknae smirked at you. Ever since doing a few collab stages and such, your group had grown close with the other group. And the fact that both your groups had been called ‘concept idols’ simply settled the friendship even more.
“Good, you know each other. That means we don’t have to do introductions.” The choreographer grouched, and you mentally groaned. This was going to be even worse now.  “Okay, you go sit down and watch. He’s a bit of a dancer, and he was here on time, so I can show you how the parts will go together.” He pointed back to the spot by the mirror, and you moved to collapse there, dropping your head back against the mirror again. “And you, put your stuff down and get over here. If you’ve let everything slip out of your head, I swear-”
Sanghyuk laughed and nodded, giving the choreographer a smile. “I’ve still got it. A lunch trip to Jeju wouldn’t make me lose it.”
The choreographer grumbled as he moved to the stereo system again. Watching the choreography put together with Sanghyuk’s part, you cursed to yourself again. This was impossible. Not only was your part of the dance somewhat complex, but combined with Sanghyuk’s part, you were sure not even two years would be enough prep time for you to be able to do it. You debated running again, but just as you glanced from the choreographer and Sanghyuk to the door, you caught a glimpse of your manager giving you a slight glare. While he was slightly smaller, you knew from experience that trying to escape from him was a huge mistake.
“Okay, get up and we’ll try this by counts at a snail’s pace for you.” The choreographer made an impatient motion at you before turning back to Sanghyuk. “And you can do better at it as well. Don’t get all smug just because you’re a bit of a dancer, you were still far from perfect.”
After spending two hours with only a tiny break for water, you collapsed on the floor of the studio, ignoring the slight glare the choreographer sent your way. You were exhausted and knowing that you would be working on this for two weeks made you feel even more tired.
“Don’t just lay there, your muscles will cramp up. And I’m not going to go easy on you tomorrow if you wake up sore. Stretch and make sure to drink water. Now I have another session with a group that is not much better than you two, so I’m leaving. The studio is free for another hour, let the front desk know when you’re done. And you better clean up before you leave. I expect you both to be on time tomorrow.”
You watched as the choreographer left the room, and you glared at his retreating back, not moving from your spot on the floor. A pair of hands reached and grabbed yours, pulling you up, and you let a whine slip from your lips, only to hear Sanghyuk laugh.
“Come on, I’m tired and we have to clean up if we want to leave.”
You grumbled before moving to a corner of the room where there was a few cleaning supplies stashed away, taking a mop and moving to start on the floors. Sanghyuk grabbed a few things and started on the mirrors. Within a few minutes you had both finished cleaning the studio and your manager had walked over.
“Come on, you have lessons.” He motioned to the door with an impatient look, ignoring the whine from you, which caused Sanghyuk to laugh.
You turned to glare at Sanghyuk, only to get a laugh and cheeky wave in return. You stuck your tongue out at him with a slight huff, but that only made him laugh louder.
~*~
Two weeks went by faster than you thought it would, and soon enough it was was the day of the recording. You had practically lived in the practice rooms, both at your company and the choreographer’s studios. The choreographer hadn’t gotten any easier on you, but after having been commiserating with a friend from another group who had also worked with him, you realized that was simply how he was. And if your friend’s group promotions for that song were any judge, then this special stage was going to be shocking. You felt a slight stirring of excitement and you smiled for a moment.
“Smiling before a special dance solo stage? Who are you and what have you done to our maknae?”
You turned to see the leader of your group leaning against the door to the small dressing room. She grinned as she walked in, moving to sit in one of the chairs. You stuck out your tongue at her, turning back to the mirror to examine way the stylists had arranged your hair and done your makeup. You wouldn’t admit it to anyone, but you were curious to know what Sanghyuk would think. The stray thought made you drop your eyes, shaking your head. You had to get through this dance with him. And then be MC with him for most likely the rest of your time with the show.
Shaking your head again, you turned back to your leader with a frown. “What are you doing here? Didn’t you have a meeting or filming or something?”
She laughed and just shook her head. “I’m free until later this afternoon. I finished the guide track recording ahead of time, so I thought I would come make sure you didn’t try to bolt at the last second again.” She ignored the glare you sent her, shrugging slightly. “I would have just gone with the fans and surprise you, but we both know how they are.”
You rolled your eyes with a nod. While you were thankful for the support that allowed your group to do what you loved, you wished the fans would be a bit more behaved. But you had gotten used to their behavior by now and knew how to handle it. At least for the most part.
One of the PD’s for the show stuck her head in and glanced between the two of you before motioning for you. “We’re ready for you. Sanghyuk is finishing up with his special backstage interview segment now.”
You nodded and stood to follow her, laughing at your leader’s teasing “fighting” cheer. Some people who didn’t know your group probably thought your members hated each other, but it was just your normal banter. It just meant that you were comfortable enough together to act like that. Your managers were the same way, along with several of the others in your company.
When you reached the side of the stage, one of the techs came to finish setting up your in-ear monitor and making sure everything was still working from the soundcheck you had done earlier in the day. You stood to the side, absently humming to yourself while you waited. A hand on your shoulder made you jump and whirl around only to see your leader laughing at you.
“Calm down. You’ll explode if you get any more tense.” You frowned at her, and she just laughed again. “I’m going to watch from here. I can hide from the fans and still see better than the monitors they have in the dressing rooms. But I’m just reminding you - we are all technically under a dating ban. Just remember that, especially when you see what’s waiting for you. And with the song choice and choreography you’re doing, just remember - we’re under a ban.”
You raised an eyebrow at her words before Sanghyuk walked over with a grin. Seeing his outfit made you realise what she had meant. You regretted having let it slip that you had a slight crush on Sanghyuk during a rare moment of downtime that your group had. Especially with the smirk on your leader’s face.
“Ready?” Sanghyuk’s grin had a hint of teasing to it and you wondered what exactly he was plotting. He grabbed your hand and pulled you out onto the stage and a glance behind you caught a glimpse of your leader winking at you.
Once in the middle of the stage, you turned back to Sanghyuk, having already tuned out the screaming of the fans from the audience. While there were plenty of Starlights in the audience as well, the fans of your group were being their loud and rambunctious normal selves. The director managed to get the crowd to silence and you moved to get into the beginning position for the dance, taking a deep breath.
The music started up and you let your body go, having drilled the moves into your head for weeks. Sanghyuk was steady with you, and without thinking about it, you were moving your body along with his. The music was a thundering beat in your ears, and the excitement of performing crept back into your chest.
The song ended faster than you expected and Sanghyuk tossed you into the finishing pose, holding you in a dip, his face a mere breath away from yours. The intensity in his gaze startled you for a moment before the director called cut, and Sanghyuk shifted back to standing, pulling you with him. Before he dropped his hands, he winked at you and then headed off to the backstage area off to the side. You stood for a moment before heading off yourself, not even noticing the shouts from your fans.
Once you had moved far enough to be out of the eyes of the fans, a pair of arms suddenly wrapped around you from behind. “How about we take the lyrics seriously?” Sanghyuk’s voice was a low whisper in your ear, and you felt your face blush, hoping that you could claim it being from the performance.
You pulled back, turning to face him, raising an eyebrow at him with a smirk. “And just what are you suggesting by that?”
He laughed, smirking back. “How about I show you over a meal? I don’t know about you, but dancing always makes me hungry. I can get takeout and I can show you just what I meant.”
You were about to respond when your leader walked over with a teasing look on her face. “You say you’re not a dancer, but your performances say differently.” She turned to Sanghyuk and gave him a thumbs up as well. “Great job you two. I’m leaving now. They want to do a behind the scenes pre-release music video for the collab of us recording, even though none of that audio will actually end up being used. It’s a waste of time and energy.” She shrugged before turning to point a finger at you with a stern look. “You better not get into any more trouble. I’m tired of all these special promotions. We’re still under a ban so try to behave.”
When she walked off with a wave, you shook your head sticking your tongue out at her retreating back, causing Sanghyuk to burst out laughing. You turned back to him with a raised eyebrow as he continued laughing. Shaking your head, you started to walk back to the tiny dressing room you had, before Sanghyuk’s hand reached and grabbed your arm.
“Wait! You don’t want to eat with me?” He gave you an exaggerated pout and you shook your head with an exasperated laugh. “And what did she mean by being under a ban?”
You huffed and crossed your arms across your chest. “We’re under a dating ban. Which makes no sense, with all of eonnie’s promotions for her latest filming.” At the slight confused look, you frowned slightly. “She was on We Got Married. It’s still airing, I think, but she finished filming last week. Not that you could tell by all of her visits with her partner.” You grumbled slightly. She kept lecturing you and reminding you of the dating ban, but you knew there had to be something going on with her.
Sanghyuk gave you a smirk. “Well, do you care about the ban?”
You glanced back to him with a raised eyebrow before laughing slightly. “Not a bit.”
He laughed and reached to take your hand, pulling you off. “Well let’s go then. I seem to remember mention of some lyrical analysis that was needed to be done.” He smirked and you laughed, walking off towards the dressing areas.

for any of followers who might need this ... i love you all
Seriously important!!! Please spread this
I have seen the grief and mourning people are going through at the moment and I understand how difficult it is to see someone idolise pass from something your may be going through/ have gone through, it’s an incredibly hard blow and my heart is aching for all fans.
After what has happened in the recent days, I don’t want anyone to feel alone or hopeless anymore, so I want to create a sort of hotline, for anyone feeling especially affected/ triggered by what has happened, even if it’s just to talk, use as an outlet or to rant/ cry/ vent, it will be 24/7, 365 days a year, you can message this email. In the future I’d like to set up a phone number also but for the meantime I created an email
( you can phone, text or email this email and there will be a response ASAP)
So please if you’re having a hard time (this is for ANYONE WHO NEEDS IT AT ANY POINT IN TIME) it can be completely anonmyous if you’re uncomfortable with naming yourself (maybe just a name, even at that if you don’t want to that’s completely fine!!)
Then please please please message this email:
Please spread the word, don’t overlook this, you have no idea who you could be saving.

for anyone who needs to talk ~
with the news of Jonghyun’s passing, I thought I should make a note here ... while I don’t consider myself a Shawol (shinee fan? yes of course - Shawol? not exactly) and the precious babe is not my bias (yes I purposely said “is” because it doesn’t change matters as far as bias goes) - it does hit hard and I am terribly saddened by the news ... I hope that his family, friends, fellow members, Shawols can find comfort where they can and not hurt too much (of course I know there’s no control over it)
but for anyone who needs to talk - our inbox is open, our messenger is available ... even if it says we haven’t been around lately - I have this blog logged in on my tablet app, and I have things switched over to this blog on my phone so I will always see your notifications ... please don’t think you need to hurt in silence on your own ... there is always someone out there who cares and loves you and wants to help
mental health issues and suicide and such are a very close subject to me, so please don’t feel scared or ashamed ... you are all so wonderful ... even if you are simply seeing this in random tags or such ... even if you don’t like the things we write / post ... even if you are simply one of the readers who might not say anything or react ... even if you are one of our biggest fans ... you are wonderful and loved ... so please, if you are hurting, talk to someone - whether it’s me or anyone else on tumblr (but please be careful darlings, there are always some bad people who simply want to cause everyone else to hurt) or someone you know personally in your life ... just take care of yourselves ...
even with everything that has happened ... I hope that you all have a good day / night! :) ... I love you all, you are wonderful
~ admin leader
ps - anyone who would prefer to talk with a fellow Jonghyun biased rather than another member (Onew is my personal bias - but I’m not one of the people who only care about their bias) - our admin maknae got into kpop because of Shinee and Jonghyun is her bias out of those boys (she even dyed her hair the same style as his “Ring Ding Dong” hairstyle)

Black Suit [part one]
so this is the beginning of yet another multipart story it seems ... I had originally hoped to write it all out and get it posted as one, but it decided (like so many other things that I write) to run away from me ... and so it has become a multipart storyline ... this is also part of another series type thing that I am working on as well (I have several other pieces already started / planned out) ... it also involves multiple groups (as will be evident already in this part) - so I hope you enjoy that part ... I’ve been in the process of plotting this entire universe and the various storylines that go with it for months now - as it started from a series of random dreams of mine (like a lot of things on here have) ... this piece idea also came from the music video for “Black Suit” by Super Junior (as is perhaps evident from the title - and my having mentioned it multiple times before I’m sure)
but without any more rambling away - enjoy ... and I hope you’re all having a great day / night! :)

Reader x Daehyun
1,839 Words
Fluff / Drama / AU
Fancy events had never really been much of your thing, regardless of how often you were getting taken to them. Daehyun had grown up in this sort of social environment, while you .. you didn’t come from the same sort. Of course that hadn’t seemed to matter to Daehyun, and for that you were more than thankful. Ever since he had crashed into you at the bar where your best friend was having her bachelorette party. Bars and clubs weren’t really your thing, but as you had been roped into the job of maid of honor, you knew there would be no getting out of it. Although at least something good had come of that night. Even if your dress had been completely ruined.
You felt an arm wrap around your waist and you turned to see Daehyun giving you a smirk before leaning in to press a kiss to your cheek. “Careful, someone would think you actually like me.”
Rolling your eyes, you just scoffed, giving him a grin. “Horror of all horrors that would be. Someone thinking I actually like you? Terrible.” You shook your head, keeping from laughing somehow. “I mean, who actually likes their boyfriends these days?”
Daehyun’s laugh was loud and you felt the familiar warmth at the sound. You weren’t naive or dumb enough to not know the dangers that being associated in any way with him could bring. That didn’t mean you would stay away from him. You had long past the point of no return. So all you could do was to trust him to keep his promise that he would take care of you. Well that and you were pretty sure your boss was somehow involved in everything as well, aside from just being married to the head of Daehyun’s family. So all in all, you weren’t terribly afraid?
“Of course with that dress you’re wearing, it might be the opposite. How can you look so gorgeous with just a plain black dress?” He leaned in pressing a kiss just under your ear, not seeming to care that you were in public surrounded by most of the city’s influential and important people. “You should be illegal.”
You laughed softly before whispering in his ear. “Good thing you’ve never really cared much about rules, then.” You pulled back with a smile before turning to catch Youngjae rolling his eyes at you. Walking over to link your arm with your boyfriend’s best friend, you laughed before leaning your head against his shoulder, giving him your cutest smile. “Aww do you want some PDA too? Should I set you up on a blind date?”
Youngjae scoffed before shrugging your head off his shoulder. “Aegyo won’t work on me. You should have learned this by now.” He frowned at you, but you could see the slight amusement in the way he seemed to be fighting a smile.
You pulled your arm back with a grin. “Sure, sure. Of course if you ever want to take me up on that offer, it wasn’t all a joke. I have plenty of friends from college and such. I’m sure I could find someone to put up with you.” You laughed at the slight glare he gave you before turning to walk back to where Daehyun had moved to talk with someone you hadn’t met yet.
As soon as you reached Daehyun’s side again, he wrapped an arm around your waist, pulling you close. “And this is the gorgeous angel I was talking about. She must have heard me talking about her again.” He turned and gave you a smirk before turning back to the other man. “This is Changsub. He knows pretty much everybody, and he didn’t recognize you so he was complaining.”
You turned to the other man with a smile, holding out your hand. “I’m sure he’s mentioned my name already?” You gave Daehyun a quick glance to see him nodding before turning back to Changsub. “It’s nice to meet you.”
He took your hand with a smile before leaning to press a light kiss to the back of your hand, laughing when Daehyun pulled you closer to him. “I was right! You are the jealous type! Ilhoon owes me $20 now. Of course, Youngjae is obviously an exception for you, but what about the others?” He turned to give you a grin that made it seem you two were in on a secret joke. “Care to meet some of the others? I can introduce you to anyone in this room. Or plenty more who aren’t invited to this sort of thing. I assume you’ve already met Jongup? As he’s not one of the guest list. For reasons, of course.”
You weren’t sure what to make of Changsub, but the smile he was giving you was more than infectious and you couldn’t stop a small laugh. “I think I’ve met all of Dae’s brothers by now?”
You turned to Daehyun, who nodded. “She went to Minhyo’s birthday party with me.”
Changsub laughed with a smile. “Ah! Then you’ve probably met some of the others too. Although I think Hongbin and Jaehwan were working that night. I, sadly, had a family thing and had to endure the queen’s wrath.”
At the mention of one of your coworkers from the animal shelter, you turned back to Daehyun with a confused look before turning back to Changsub. “Hongbin from the animal shelter?”
Changsub grinned. “So you have met him already! Although now you’ve intrigued me more. How are you connected to all of this, I wonder.”
You felt Daehyun sigh beside you, more than heard him, and you turned to see him roll his eyes at Changsub’s words. “She works at the shelter too. Minhyo insisted after the party. And you know how well it turns out when anyone tries to go against her will.” Both of the men laughed and you might not have worked with her for too long yet, but you knew how strong-willed she was, as you had already seen her get her way more than once, regardless of how much opposition there might be.
“So you know the queen, and if she’s already pulled you into working for her, then you obviously have her approval.” Changsub grinned with a small nod. “I guess that means welcome to the family. We should have dinner together sometime. Perhaps you can come to our illustrious leaders’ shared party?”
You nodded with a small smile. “I don’t see why not, right?” You glanced up at Daehyun, seeing him give you an almost incredulous look. “They’re your friends, so of course we should go. Unless-”
“If we’re not busy, you know we’ll be there too. At the very least you know Minhyo and Himchan will go, and that means Yongguk will be there too. He’s hopeless against the two of them.”
You laughed softly, having already witnessed the strange power the two of them seemed to hold over the other man. It was amusing to say the least. The first time you had met him, he had almost scared you. Of course, you quickly learned how much of a softie he actually was.
“Hopeless in all the best ways. But excuse me, I see Ilhoon and I need to go collect my $20. It was nice meeting you, I’m sure we’ll be seeing each other again.” Changsub winked at you before walking off in the direction of someone else and you laughed as you felt the arm around your waist tighten just slightly.
“Aww, you don’t have to be jealous. I’m not going anywhere.” You grinned slightly. “Well, I might run off with Himchan. If I wasn’t pretty sure Minhyo and Yongguk would try to murder me.” You laughed slightly, catching sight of the trio in question across the room talking with another couple.
Daehyun glanced off in the direction you were looking before nodding. “Ah, that’s Sungmi and Minhyuk. He’s one of the leaders that Changsub was mentioning.”
You nodded at him before turning back to observe the other couple. “She looks familiar, though. I wonder if I’ve seen her somewhere.”
Daehyun laughed and you turned back to him, as you didn’t realise you had spoken your thoughts out loud. “That’s probably because she’s Junhong’s sister.” He gave you a playful wink before nodding towards the couple you had been curious about. “She ran off and eloped with him almost a couple months ago. Junhong went mad, he thought they had taken her. If you think he’s cute and harmless, you should have seen him then. Luckily Yongguk kept him from running off after them and causing all sorts of trouble.”
Glancing back over, you saw the tall youngest member of Daehyun’s family standing close with the other woman and you smiled to yourself. “He looks the protective type. But surely even considering, he can’t be too bad.” Daehyun’s laughter was louder from beside you, and you noticed one of the members of the wait staff turning to shoot a slight glare at him. You frowned slightly in the direction the person had walked off and when Daehyun followed your gaze he smirked. You didn’t know exactly what happened just then, but you knew that smirk never meant something good.
Youngjae walked up and frowned at Daehyun. “Stop antagonizing the staff. We should probably go take our seats. It’s nearly time to start. I’ll go drag Junhong away from Sungmi. Hopefully it won’t be as bad as last time.” He sighed and you raised an eyebrow as he just shook his head and walked off in the direction of where Junhong was standing, still talking with the others.
Daehyun grinned at Youngjae as he walked off, clearing gloating in the fact that it was Youngjae who had to handle their youngest member and whatever potential temper explosion that might happen. “As much as I know it’s better for him to stay calm, Junhong’s outbursts are the most entertaining to watch. Unless Yongguk is close, then it’s generally just a small grumble without any real fuss.”
You shook your head, lightly hitting Daehyun on the arm. “You’re horrible. You shouldn’t encourage such things. Or get such amusement from it.” You glanced back around the room, watching as people started to file through a door into where you assumed the auction would be held. “Let’s go find our seats. Maybe there will already be some food set out?”
Daehyun laughed and pulled you closer to press a kiss to your cheek. “And that is just one of the reasons that I love you. You have your priorities in the right order.” He laughed again before dropping his arm from your waist to take your hand. “Let’s go. If you’re right then we might have to fight the other two.”
You laughed softly, twining your fingers through his with a smile as you started to walk towards the other room. “I think I could beat them. Especially for food.” You glanced up to wink at Daehyun, smiling when he laughed again.
