Entropy

The initial design for my MHA OC, Dani Scott, Hero Name: Entropy. A bit more about her:

Dani Scott (later known as the Hero, Entropy), was born to Adalaide and Samantha Scott on September 17th at the Great Lakes Naval Base outside of Chicago, USA. Given her mother, Samantha, was a Naval officer, Adalaide and Dani often followed to whatever base Samantha was assigned. Dani never really set down roots for long, and rapidly learned to keep herself entertained given how often her family moved. Her quirk manifested young, and rapidly became a problem when it became evident it wasn’t something she could ‘turn off’. Entropy is always at work in various thermodynamic systems, and Dani’s quirk pulled energy from her core temperature: her body was constantly trying to find equilibrium with the world around her, be it by expelling her own heat to warm the area or dropping her core temperature to match the chill. When her quirk dropped her into a hypothermic coma at age 10, her mothers had little choice but to work with a variety of specialists to train and manage their daughter’s powerful quirk. She was assigned a service dog, Banjo, to help her regulate her body temperature, and began attending supplementary quirk training outside of regular school hours. Dani rapidly learned that using her quirk too much could get her or people she cared about killed, and did not experiment much with its limits as she grew. She was taught control first, in all things, and it continued to ostracize her from her peers.

Shortly before Dani turned 14, Samantha was reassigned suddenly to the Yokosuka US Military Base in Japan, bringing her wife and teenage daughter with her. It was there that Dani’s mothers explained about Japan’s hero schools, and the opportunity for training at UA under Eraser Head. The undercurrent of the conversation was clear, however: Dani would be able to go and train safely with the one pro hero who could effectively cancel out her quirk before it did any serious damage. 

Dani attended UA as a transfer student under Aizawa’s watchful eye, and worked hard to undermine the assumptions that one had to have a particular type or ability of quirk to be a ‘hero’. She would later go on to become a pro, starting an agency back in the States for heroes with quirks that were hard to control, or outside the norm of ‘heroic’ quirks. I have a whole AU with her and a few friends’ OCs, but that would be telling. ;3

I ship her with Bakugou, mostly for the enemies to friends to lovers pipeline reasons.
