The batch rescuing the clone younglings and then not involving them with all the stuff with the empire and just letting them be kids on pabu is so bitter sweet. The batch never got the opportunity to actually be kids and even as hard as the batch tried omega didn’t get to either because of the empire. It was more than the batch got and she is loved but she is still in danger all the time. The batch knows the reality of being a soldier and they didn’t get a choice in the matter. They know that those they involve in the rebellion risk being hunted by the empire and they know the reality of being hunted by the empire. By not involving them with any of the soldier stuff they can give the clone younglings a chance at the childhood and the choice to do what they want with their lives that they didn’t get.

Crosshair being overly protective is something that can be so personal. He’s attached to Omega much more than he ever was with his brothers.

“You good? Got your crossbow? Sure you can carry those supplies?”

Like this line of questioning screams I care about you, your safety, and how you’re feeling. His emotional development is centered around Omega and his NEED to protect her. It’s not something that was forced onto him either, it came naturally. It’s a part of his nature to protect her.

And then he says “Stay close. It’s easy to get lost in this terrain.”

“You’re as bad as Hunter.” (Omega)

“Oh, I’m much worse.”

Like what?!? Huh? I know what you mean but how much worse? It’s that, I’d kill for you, I’d die for you protectiveness from CROSSHAIR.

Omega reciprocating that concern and protectiveness too though!

“I’ll draw his fire. Get to the rendezvous.” “I don’t like that idea.” “Too bad.”

The way he said “Too bad.” So soft and careful not to offend her.

omega is going to call echo and be like "so a strange lady showed up to test if i was a jedi bc a high m-count thingy means i could be one?!?! but then she kicked our brothers' butts bc it turns out she's a war criminal!! :O her name is asajj ventress btw and hunter and wrecker and crosshair doesn't like her but she's kinda nice to me and i thought she was pretty cool, she called me a strange little clone :> !!! so we tested again if i was a jedi and she accidentally summoned a Creature and it captured me but!!! she saved me and then told the Creature to go away it was hectic!!! anyway im not a jedi :( and the empire still wants me for some reason :( when are you coming home echo we miss you"
