Now my little rant that I've been trying to keep in but imma just add it here: it seems that most of the haters throwing out nasty comments seem to be old BFU fans who only watch Ghost Files and can not let go of the past and does not realize that BFU has been over for almost 3 years now. It's totally ok to miss and grieve the loss of something you love, but continuously comparing Watcher to just BFU is tiring. Watcher is so much more than BFU, and if you guys would just simply read Watcher's company motto then you would know that.

So how about instead of living in 2018, you come and join us in 2024 and recognize that Shane Madej, Ryan Bergara, and especially Steven Lim are still fucking hilarious alongside the wonderful team at Watcher.

I think now is a good time to remind people that the people you look up to and watch are still human beings and are allowed to make mistakes and change their minds as they learn. I'm glad they have made a way for people to get free content still like I hoped they would while trying a new avenue for funds.

I'm shocked by all the hate towards watcher after the anouncement, i hate subscribing to things and i thought the anouncement was some kind of joke at first but after they explained it it makes total sense to me and i will def be subscribing once they start releasing shows, i really hope other people will come around to it

I'm definitely hoping for some kinda middle ground to be reached where people who can't afford it can still get some content while they are able to build up like this and use this new site. I agree all of the hate is shocking, a lot of people aren't even giving them a chance to adjust the plan or talk more about it before jumping on the "they are horrible people" train

I am going to subscribe to Watcher TV right now during the beta period, and I'll share with you the developments as they're made. puppet content will continue in due time.

I'm very disappointed with the community's response to this move. it's one thing to be upset you won't get your free content, but it's another to call the guys sellouts or fakes or imply they hate their young, broke audience who are So Invested in their videos. it's literally their means of survival, there is no way Your dedication to their videos outweighs Theirs.

i am a creative who is only above the poverty line because he lives alone and works full time. it's sad to see dedicated fans look at three guys living in one of the most expensive cities in the World, trying to make what They care about instead of letting youtube force them into ad-riddled content farm formats, and say 'you're just as bad as buzzfeed'. no, they really are not. please learn the difference between a group trying to support itself and maintain its mission statement and a media giant trying to turn a profit. shane literally said in the video you can share your account!!!! jfc!!!

it's almost like they built up this announcement to be something huge and awesome like a new show or something and instead we got That. people are allowed to be mad about how shitty it is that they did that.

People are absolutely allowed to be mad and upset, I get why some people are. What I am not okay and what I don't support is the hatred and how mean some people have decided to be. Express disappointment, let them know you think it should be done differently but be a decent person still
