need another Carrington Level Event™ to happen Immediately.
As someone who has a Comp Sci degree…sometimes i look at tech and just think “nah, shut it the fuck down. We had a good run but I think we’ve had enough”

i would call this a prediction but, it honestly feels almost wrong to say there’s even a chance it WONT happen

for serious. gravity is so insanely weak that we have no idea how it influences things on a quantum level.
like think about magnetism. you can get magnets online (that you can hold!) which can stick to objects with like 200+ kilograms of force. people take that for granted! think about the insane size and mass of the earth, and yet the gravitational force it generates is easily beaten by a stupidly tiny hunk of metal we call a magnet. can you imagine how strong would an earth sized magnet be? god gravity is weak!
that’s a big part of why a theory of quantum gravity gravity is so evasive. in quantum mechanics the mass of say an electron is so tiny that gravity may as well not exist.
and when that electron is in superposition, where exactly does the curvature “propagate” from in einsteins theory of general relativity? because gravity isn’t a force in general relativity, and so it wouldn’t have a force carrier to carry out interactions like it should! ITS MESSED UP !

General Relativity Explained in 7 Levels of Difficulty
This video covers the General theory of Relativity, developed by Albert Einstein, from basic simple levels (it’s gravity, curved space) through to the concepts of how curved spacetime is represented by psuedo-Riemannian manifolds with Lorentzian signature (that is, special relativity and minkowski space are the local tangent space), how matter and energy are represented by an energy-momentum tensor, and how these two together obey the Einstein Field Equations.
The solutions to the Einstein Field Equations (including the schwarzschild metric, kerr metric, freedman-lemaitre-robertson-walker metric, etc) represent gravity around massive objects like the sun, earth, and black holes, but also the history and expansion and future evolution of the cosmos. The universe on a large scale is described by general relativity - on a small scale, quantum mechanics. And where they meet… there’s still work to be done.

this just sparked a long buried fact in my mind about how, in the entire world, there are 25 blimps. and only half are in use
Tumblr media
ok but have you ever seen a parked blimp?
Tumblr media Tumblr media
why is this so goddamn funny

fun fact, all those old videos you see of nuclear detonations being tested almost always purposefully offset the sound to line up with the explosion. makes for good demonstration, although inaccurate.
in the gif below the shockwave is traveling at the speed of sound. you don’t hear the explosion till said shockwave reaches you.
Tumblr media
and so, nuclear explosions are EERILY silent. initially the only indication that anything happened would be a blinding flash of light. then looking outside you’d see a completely silent but menacing mushroom cloud rise in the distance
and >>pro nuclear holocaust tip<<, DO NOT gawk at the explosion, ESPECIALLY NOT OUT YOUR WINDOW. you’d probably have less than a minute or two to react, and worst case only 10 seconds. you gotta remember the shockwave travels at the speed of sound, so unless you want to be flung backwards, have a million shards of glass launched into your eyes and body, and burst your eardrums, get to the safest spot you can within the next few seconds.
Tumblr media
and i’m sure you guys have seen this gif before. it’s actually a neat visualization of the speed of sound, yknow, intense radiation aside.
okay bye!

You see those dents going down each side of the pyramids from top to bottom?
That’s where the wooden cranes went and the stones there were placed the last.

Experimenting with Accretion Disks in Universe Sandbox:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
in the first GIF is an Accretion Disk i made from scratch via close flybys of stars
in the second GIF, i used the “Add Rings” function. i set the mass of the ring system as a whole to 20 Solar Masses, then set them to end at around 1 AU. there are 2000 individual clouds of Hydrogen in orbit around the Black Hole.
i want to point out that, in the second GIF, i expected the hydrogen to start clumping together, initiating Fusion and giving us a nice, bright disk. this did not happen because the simulation Cannot Handle 2000 Objects Exerting a Gravitational Force. so although they still have Mass, they don’t generate any Gravity. clearly, i had to throw something in to “brighten up the place”
you can see i put the Sun in close orbit around the Black Hole. it was close enough to be Ripped Apart by Tidal Forces, but at the same time ate up a bunch of Hydrogen in the ring system. this cycle meant that Hydrogen was going INTO the Sun, then being ripped back OUT of the sun, now illuminated by the heat.
and for fun, here’s a pic of a Star carving out the path of its Orbit around the Black Hole
Tumblr media
More Info:
Both GIFs used a Black Hole weighing roughly 10,000 Solar Masses. This put the Schwarzschild Radius between 29,000-30,000 Kilometers. meaning the Black Holes Diameter was roughly 5 Earths Wide. the >>Schwarzschild Radius<< is a measure of how tightly packed you’d have to make an object with a given Mass into a Black Hole. anything can become a Black Hole if you compress it far enough. if, for example, the ENTIRE Earth was squashed into the space of a Sugar Cube, it would become a Black Hole.
to clarify, this does NOT increase the Gravity an object exerts. the Mass remains the Same. as in if the Earth was squashed into a Sugar Cube, the Moon would Orbit it all the same. BUT, think about this: if You stood on the Earth and then it Instantly got squashed down, but you Remained in the spot in Space where you were just standing, then the Gravity would also remain the same where you were. BUT NOW there’s ALL that Empty Space underneath you, so you begin to Fall, and the Further you fall, the Closer you get to the Mass, and the Stronger the Gravity Is. until Gravity gets so Strong, that the Escape Velocity exceeds the Speed of Light, the Event Horizon. and THAT happens at around 9 Millimeters from the very Center of this Earth Black Hole. or, about the length of a Sugar Cube.. Boom, Schwarzschild Radius

ii solved physics. There can only be 26 (twenty-six) dimensions at most because. there's only so many letters u can assign to coordinates axis .😮

you fool, they will turn to unicode and gain access to hundreds of thousands of dimensions. dimension 128,515 will be called “😂”
