Clover Ebi: Rabbit

Penny Polendina: Red Panda (for her playfulness)

James Ironwood: Siberian Husky or a Grey Wolf

Winter Schnee: Snow Leopard (The cubs can be Weiss and Whitley.)

Hazel Rainart: Bear (Bears are actually very docile until you mess with them. Kind of like how Hazel is. He doesn't wish to harm you, but if you keep messing with him or if you are a lieutenant of Ozpin, or keep getting in the way, he will strike you down.)

Tyrian Callows: Hyena (that gosh darn laughing. e-o)

Fennec Albain: simple. A fennec fox.

Hazel and rage

I just had this thought after watching that scene from Lilo and Stitch 2, where Lilo beat the heck out of Mertle when she said that Lilo would never be like her mom.

Anyways, what if Hazel had a parent or other relative that he looked up to and inspired to be like them? Maybe his father, a grandparent, etc. Though he never got to meet them because they were professional huntsmen.

During his childhood he constantly heard other kids talk about who they looked up to, though never said a word and is normally found sitting somewhere with a forlorne(I don't know if I spelled that right.) look on his face until his teacher calls him over and shows him a picture of said relative that he looked up to.

However, he is then approached by a classmate after class has ended and started aggrivating him. And despite Hazel trying his best not to give into his anger (plus Gretchen holding him back), the kid drops that "you will never be like your relative. Never." That's practically the last straw for him. He tugs away from his sister's grasp and just lunges at the kid in pure rage and starts hounding on him.

It took about two to three teachers to stop him and to calm him down.

(Also Gretchen may or may not have been taking photos the whole time while cheering on her older twin brother.)

After that incident I can sort of see that became a reason he doesn't always wish to fight others. Because he sometimes doesn't know his own strength and can and will accidentally cause serious injury or even kill someone if he's not careful.

Hazel and kittens

So I have this headcanon that Hazel has a weakness for cute things, or things that he can hold in his arms.

One occurance of this happening is where he finds a stray kitten and it starts following him around, to the point he secretly keeps it, and just loves the heck out of it. (Like the bull dog and the little kitten from that Looney Toons segment.)

However, Tyrian and Watts find out about the cat after seeing it clinging to the back of Hazel's jacket. And when Watts tries to explain to him that he can't keep it, Hazel already says that he named it.

Cue Tyrian yelling "You can't name it, or else you'll become attached to it!"

Sure they tried to take it from Hazel when he was asleep. Though it didn't end very well. Hazel literally growled at them and nearly ripped Tyrian's entire tail off when he got too close for comfort.

(Never mess with a 7ft. tall man and his tiny fur baby.)
