The world is supposed to be safer, now, and Dr. Strange just fucked it up by leaving one of earth's most important (future) heroes on his own. They decide to send one of Peter's lost loved ones back to life. In the afterlife, May tells Tony that it should be him. He's the one with the resources, the one who can support Peter in both the superhero and regular sides of his life. Tony tries to protest, doesn't feel he deserves it, but May looks over at Ben and is just like, "You go down there and you protect our boy."
