InuKag Week 2023: Day 1: Love Language(s)
@inukag-week
Day 1  Day 2  Day 3  Day 4  Day 5  Day 6  Day 7
AO3
Fanfiction
He hadn’t really dealt with other people in any other capacity than a hostile one for most of his life, so Inuyasha didn’t always know how to read another person in the way someone socialized when young could. He struggled with always feeling as if the people around him were just waiting on baited breath to show him their hostility, and often believed others to be a threat to him when they were perhaps tying to do the right thing by him.
He was quick to snarl and snap at anyone who presented even a mild inconvenience to him, his mind always looking for threats that were not always there.
Kagome had squeezed into his life (starting with being squeezed to him by the madame caterpillar), and was never actually put off by his behavior. He would cut her off, insult her left and right, accuse her of things she didn’t do, and yet she still stuck around.
“Jerk.” His quip about her having slow legs was apparently louder than he intended. “You’re just abnormally fast.” She tossed him a look over her shoulder. “Not everyone is as athletic as you.”
Intended as an insult most likely, her words hit him differently. She thought he was athletic. Not a freak, not an abomination.
Athletic. The word bounced around in his head for the rest of the day.
Souta had told him once that women liked athletic men. He hadn’t really understood what that word was (and honestly still didn’t), but Kagome had used it to describe him.
Did that mean Kagome liked him? Like liked him?

My first fanfic for the new Hanyo No Yashahime series because AAAA I know the ship is probably going to be HisuixSetsuna which I guess I can get behind-
Buttttttt Ever since the final act ended I always wanted Inuyasha and Mirokus offspring to get together. I see so little HisuiXMoroha content that I decided to give up and make some. Again this is my first fanfic don’t hate me.
THANK YOU
@beanyboobee FOR COMING UP WITH SO MANY AMAZING HISUI X MOROHA STORIES WITH ME
@lostinfantasyworlds THANK YOU for posting your amazing FanFiction which gave me inspiration for this
And @raevofdamned because we were already talking about something like this recently 😂
Enjoy!
-
On a new moon in the village near the Sacred Tree and Bone Eaters Well, which together is an entirely different story, was a small two year old boy sitting on his mother's lap inside their hut.
Hisui, like most two year olds, seemed to be fascinated by mostly everything. He was never vocal about It though, it’s not like he couldn’t make sound. No, Hisui now knew some words and was slowly learning his steps but he never showed any action towards his interests. He just liked to sit, watch and learn.
Currently he was attempting to learn how his mother was making a blanket out of thin air, Hisui knew his mother liked to knit but it always amazed him how the lines of string soon became a blanket. Why a blanket though? From Hisui’s view it was much too small for him or either one of his twin sisters who were napping on the far side of the hut.
‘Weird.’
For once in the household of five, everything was quiet and peaceful.
That was before aunty Rin had pushed her way through the reed mat.
Proclaiming rather happily about something. Being only two, Hisui didn’t always know what adults were saying but he did catch a few words.
“Kagome.”
“Baby”
“At Kaedes”
Poor little Hisui couldn’t process what these words meant before his mother had quickly picked him up and had given him to his father who at the time was attempting to make dinner because he was being bad earlier.
He watched how she shoved the new knitted blanket into her kimono, and rushed out the doorway with Rin.
Now that was weird. Why did they leave so quickly?
No “Hello” from Aunty Rin and no “Goodbye” From mother.
‘Kagome. Baby. At Kaedes?’ Hisui thought.
“Kagome. Baby. At Kaedes” he spoke quietly. His father rumbled with laughter.
“That’s right Hisui!” His father praised him. The next words were spoken very carefully to Hisui.
“Kagomes going to have the baby at Kaedes!”
-
Hisui couldn’t remember waiting so long for anything in his life! His sisters we’re rather excited to meet the “Baby puppy ears”
He knew what was happening. Recently he began to notice that Aunty Kagome's tummy had been getting bigger, when he had finally asked his mother she told him that Aunty Kagome and Uncle Inu we’re going to have a baby. Which prompted Hisui to ask how? Which mother then threatens father not to answer. He was told it would take time, apparently time moved fast because suddenly the moment was here.
Here he was waiting outside of Kaedes hut, waiting for something that has fascinated him for months!
‘How did the baby get inside Aunty Kagome's tummy? Did she eat something?’
Uncle Inu had gone in the hut hours ago! It felt like hours anyways, when they began to hear screaming.
Why does he get to see the baby first?
It’s not fair to the others who have been waiting like father and his sisters and most importantly him! Hisui!
It was cold outside, and dark with no moon. Why did the baby want to come at night, didn't it need sleep?!
Hisui’s grumpy thoughts came to a halt as Granny Kaede made her way out of the hut.
“You all can come in now, but Ye must be quiet.”
The two year old watched his sisters run pass the elderly woman into the hut. His father picked him up and they walked through the door together with Granny Kaede right behind them.
The hut was much warmer than the moonless nights cold air. At the far corner of the hut laid his Aunty Kagome wrapped in Uncle Inu’s red robe, she looked so tired. Right next to her sat Uncle Inu staring straight across from him where his mother sat on her knees holding something small that was waddled up in the tiny blanket she had finished earlier.
Of course the blanket was for the baby!
“Excuse me!” His Aunt Rin said as she rushed by him and his father. She was holding more blankets he noticed as she slowed her speed to stop and sit near the baby and his sisters who were already sitting close to his mother. Kin’u and Gyokuto seem to be attempting to get a better look at the baby.
“I take it that it was a good delivery?” His father asked as they walked closer to the group of people.
“It had a bit of complications but what delivery doesn’t.” Granny Kaede responded
“And how are you? Lady Kagome?” His father sat down, placing Hisui on the ground near him.
“Tired.” Replied his Aunty Kagome
“That’s right Bouzu! So don’t you go asking her dumb questions.” His Uncle Inu whispered rather harshly.
“May I at least ask what the baby’s gender is?”
“It’s a girl.” His mother whispered, she hadn’t looked up from the wrapped bundle in her arms. “And you better wait your turn to hold her Houshi, it took me hours to pry her parents hands off her.”
“I don’t want that delinquent to hold her, might go and drop her.”
“Do you think so little of me Inuyasha!?”
The females of the hut laughed causing Hisui to giggle.
Quiet moments passed, as the older ones passed around the baby. The twins argued over which one gets to hold her first so they’ve been banned from holding her all together. Eventually the small baby was given back to her mother.
His father chose to speak after the passing of the baby ended.
“So… Inuyasha.”
“I know that look on your face, what do you want Bouzu?”
“I was just thinking.”
“Thinking what?”
“Well you have a beautiful girl in your household now.”
“….where are you going with this?”
“... And as you obviously see I have a handsome young man right here.”
Hisui’s father patted his head, his father was up to something. His father held his smug smile as he continued
“I was thinking if we make some arrangements we could maybe… combine our households?”
“No. Don’t you even think about something like that you lecher!”
“Awww but Inu-‘
“No.”
“At least hear me out!”
“No!”
“I-
The two year old quickly lost the conversation, both adult males were speaking quickly now, and not slow enough for Hisui to process. So he decided to investigate his fascination. Hisui had been skipped over from holding the baby probably because of his sisters.
While the adults argued, He slowly crawled around his father over to his mother. Grabbing her attention she quickly picked him up and placed him in her lap like earlier. The baby was snuggled up to her mother's chest, making tiny sounds. He still couldn’t get a good look at her face.
Maybe his fascination showed because then Aunty Kagome asked him one simple question.
“Hisui. Would you like to hold her?”
Yes! This is what he has been waiting for! Nodding his head he reached out his arms for the small bundle. His mother directed him on how to hold the baby as Aunty Kagome slowly placed her in his arms. His mother helped support her head, having her big hand under his little one.
It was- how would a two year old even describe this?! It was-
It was-
“She’s beautiful isn’t she? Hisui”
That was it! Beautiful! This! Her! Holding Her! This was beautiful!
Agreeing with his mother's question, Hisui tightened his grip on the small baby, the arguing father's disagreement slowly disappeared in the background as he stared.
To his surprise, her tiny eyes opened staring back, big eyes that couldn’t decide if they were brown or gold.
It was like looking into a brown sea speckled with the sun.
“Her name is Moroha.” He heard his Aunty Kagome's voice chime into his daze.
Moroha.
“Hello… Moroha.” Hisui spoke to Moroha timidly.
Nothing could ruin this moment he thought.
AAaaaand of course something did! The dumb baby girl had grabbed his dark brow hair and pulled. Causing the two year old to scream in pain.
HISUI THOUGHT BABIES WERE WEAK WHY WAS SHE PULLING SO HARD
His mother desperately tried to pull the demons fingers from his hair,
Kagome cried as the baby cried louder.
The twins covered their ears.
Rin tried to hold back her laughter from the back of her palms.
Kaede rolled her eyes.
Shippo who arrived late was wondering what was going on.
His father Miroku just stared in amazement
And Inuyasha proclaimed in joy.
“SEE SHE DOESNT EVEN LIKE HIM!”

Repost! Sense this is technically the actual day of this prompt! Enjoy! Please don’t forget to check out the fanart!

Summary:
Moroha moved out around a year ago, Ichiki about a month. Kagome experiencing the pain of the empty nest so Inuyasha makes it his mission to track down his kids and get full reports for his wife.
You can also read it Here Ao3. Fanfic.
Oh and don’t forget to check out the amazing fanart by @nectarine500! Here.
Inuyasha was desperately trying to breathe. Opening his eyes and putting on his stone face he turned to look at his eldest who was finding the ground very interesting.
“Moroha," Inuyasha's voice was stern and slightly threatening, doing his damn best not to yell. "Please tell me you’re not in debt."
“Uh-“
The growl that rumbled from his throat was low as he watched his daughter pray to the gods for something to say. Don’t. Yell.
“Okay. Tell me you're not in debt so I don’t have to go back home and tell your mother you’re in debt.”
“I'm not in debt?”
Moroha put on her best smile and looked up at Inuyasha with wide innocent golden eyes, ah the cute tactic. Basic.
“Oh cut the crap Moroha! Your mother uses that look so much that I’m immune!”
Okay now Inuyasha was yelling-
“The hell Moroha? Your brother is the one who finds trouble so when your mother sent me to go check up on you fools I thought you were going to be the easy one!”
This wasn’t what he was expecting, Moroha had been traveling along with Hisui and his twin sister slaying demons for at least a year now, they would visit home sometimes or write a letter so the parents believed everything was okay. It’s been a good month since Ichiki, his youngest, set off on his own, now sixteen and Kagome missed her babies. So with enough tears and love she convinced Inuyasha to go find and check up on them. Moroha was supposed to be his easy case, she was skilled in fighting and had as Kagome would say “street smarts” or whatever the hell that meant. Ichiki on the other hand fought from a distance and was stronger in the brains department and in a world full of demons that would love to make a meal out of a quarter demon, Inuyasha worried he’d be the one having trouble on his own.
BUT NOOOOO, HE FOUND HIS DAUGHTER FIRST WHO WAS DROWNING IN DEBT.
His head was spinning, one of two things could be going on right now. One, Moroha is his only kid in trouble so there’s only one problem, or both his kids are in trouble and he has to report both of them to Kagome. Oh god Kagome-
.
“Hey pop? Are you good? You're as red as the fire rat?”
In his state of rage the father of two didn’t notice his daughter poking him with concern on her face.
Inuyasha looked down at her and stared, no doubt he looked mad. He was pissed, but Moroha was still his baby girl. He patted her head and began to walk away.
Moroha took a second and watched him go before catching up, Inuyasha was basically speed walking which was causing the quarter demon to jog.
“Hey! Uh-old man! Where are you going?”
“We. My sweet daughter, are going to pay off half your debt.” Inuyasha looked back at her, Inuyasha was damn strong and he was going to give his girl a hand to get out of the hole she dug herself.
Moroha will still have to pay the other half without him, something he’s sure Hisui and the twins will help with. But for right now he’ll spend the day slaying demons with his favorite girl. Inuyasha was still mad of course but it’s been so long since he had a day with her.
Inuyasha had been following the red hooded figure below him for a good while now. Ichiki not having demonic abilities meant he couldn’t smell his fathers scent, but he was very skilled in his spirit powers so why on earth hasn’t he noticed Inuyasha?
Jumping through the trees to get a better look at the youth, the first thing Inuyasha noticed was that he hadn’t grown an inch. Ichiki was around Kagome height, maybe an inch taller. Inuyasha wasn’t exactly the tallest guy around and Kagome had to be the shortest woman in Japan so perhaps his son was just cursed to remain tiny forever. The second thing he noticed was that his face was all scratched up, huh, maybe he did find some trouble. Just like his mother.
Suddenly the quarter demon stopped on the forest path he was walking to take a seat on a tree stump. Puzzled Inuyasha began to look around, was he waiting for something? Did he sense something? Inuyasha couldn’t see anything. Looking back down at his son he was slightly startled to see a pair of blue eyes looking up at him.
Ichiki’s face slowly drew up into a smile, of course. He knew his father was following him; he just wasn’t going to notice him. If he did Inuyasha would win, it would be the same if Inuyasha made the first move to talk.
“Are you just going to stare? You come down and eat lunch with me, you know.” His son called up to him, grabbing two radishes from his bag he carried on his right side.
Inuyasha smiled down at him. “Keh!”
With a big jump and a graceful landing Inuyasha was next to his son in seconds. The radish was plump and freshly picked, he must have gotten it from the nearby village.
“You know Ichi, you could have said “hi” or made some form of communication for the past hour “ Inuyasha said with one hand on his hip and the other reaching out for the vegetable. His son chucked and handed over the radish.
“Where’s the fun in that?” Ichiki teased looking up at his father. Rolling his eyes Inuyasha motioned his hand to the right for his son to scoot. The tree stump was big enough for them both to be seated back to back.
“Wanna explain the scratches on your face?”
Getting settled, Inuyasha leaned back against his son.
“Cat.”
Was the one worded answer he heard from behind him. Confused, he asked, “A cat demon?” Inuyasha could feel his son's body jostle a bit with a chuckle.
“Nope just a cat, he was in the house I exorcised.” Ichiki said with a smile in his voice.
Inuyasha couldn’t help the laugh that escaped him!“Of course you’d be the one to get his ass kicked by a cat-“
“Shut up and eat your food dad.”
They ate silently, enjoying each other's presence. Inuyasha had missed this, the comfortable silence. While Moroha was loud and outgoing, Ichiki was quiet and kept to himself.
As time passed small conversations were made.
“How’s mom?”
“Good. She misses you guys, told me to come check up on you two.”
“I miss her too.”
“I’ll make sure to tell her.”
“Didn’t expect you to be on the outskirts of Japan”
“There’s some good exorcism jobs around here.”
“Hm.”
“How did you find me?”
“Moroha. I found her first. She said she checked up on you a few weeks ago.”
“Yeah, she’s worried I’ll trip on air off a cliff or something.”
“I missed you bud.”
“I missed you too dad.”
Kagome had maybe two gray hairs, with some wrinkles that somehow managed to compliment her soft face. She was beautiful as ever and Inuyasha, who had been gone for around a week, was glad to make it back home to her with full reports about their children and letters they sent back with him for her.
They’re all grown up, and yet it was hard for Inuyasha to say goodbye. He thought parenting was supposed to be easy after the kids actually left the house.
Fin.

Teenagers
Finished writing! Enjoy!
——
Back during the Jewel shard hunt, Miroku was always causing mischief. It didn't surprise Inuyasha one bit when his kids did the same. But his own?!
Moroha, and Ichiki are good kids! Sure Moroha got his attitude and sometimes Ichiki talked as much as his brother,
Seriously it wouldn't kill the kid to start a conversation, but they were still good kids. His kids. The ones he thought he would never have, the ones he loved so much it made him want to burst, the ones he wanted to strangle.
Years ago when Moroha was younger she used to tell him everything, now? Nothing nada. Lately everything Inuyasha asked about his daughter's life was never given a straight answer, she would brush him off or change the topic. She wanted to be her own person , or something like that. Being her own person means doing everything by herself, her way. She wanted to do demon extermination on her own. Make, clean, and fix her own weapons. Wearing what she wants, the fire rat robe he had given her as a gift all those years ago has been modified by herself, refusing help from her mother.
Oh and Kagome doesn't mind this at all. Kagome says this is normal for a teenage girl and she should know because she was one. Moroha is growing up and they should let her be who she wants so she can find herself or some sappy shit like that, and you know what? Inuyasha was fine with that, until the letters started coming in.
Every once a month a letter would come in, sometimes it would be brought by a friend saying they were told to pass it on, other times an arrow with the letter attached would be shot at their home in the middle of the night or day. Every single time the name
Moroha
Would be written on the front and every time Moroha would grab the letter and run into the second room of the hut where she slept with her brother and close the sliding door.
Every day after the letter she would smile so big Inuyasha was worried about her facial muscles, and when he asked about the letters she would blush and say "nothing."
Inuyasha being the reasonable father that he is, knew that was bullshit. "Nothing" does not do that to a person. So he went looking for the letters.
he couldn't find them, he searched the small room for hours and nothing. No letters in sight.
Kagome still thought this was normal. His baby girl, keeping secrets from him, lying to him about "nothing." Was not normal for Inuyasha. Why would Moroha be hiding something from him?! While his growing concern for his daughter kept him up at night he almost missed seeing what was happening to his son.
Ichiki, his sweet little boy, lately has been being well-
A brat. Inuyasha had worse words in his vocabulary but they wouldn't be entirely correct for his son..
Ichiki was always a quiet boy. Not a leader, more a follower unlike most of his family. He's helpful and keeps to himself. This is all still true, but lately Inuyasha has noticed his boy has found himself an attitude. One very unlike Ichiki to develop in such a short amount of time.
Say something he didn't like he'll smile and nod, but when you look away you can always hear him muttering under his breath and if you look back in time you might even catch him rolling his eyes. He'll do what you want but he'll huff and puff if he doesn't want to do it.
Ichiki rarely looks up, preferring to stare at anything but your eyes during a conversation or even if you're just in the same room as him. When Inuyasha makes him look him in the eye it's almost like he's seeing right through you. It worried him, he worried about Ichiki ever since he was born early and sick so something like this was starting to freak him out.
So he talked to his wife again, now the third time that month Inuyasha had come to her in concern for their children.
After listening to all the facts he wrote down in his head Inuyasha finally got her to see they might have an issue.
"Okay, here's the game plan." Said the small priestess as she gently took the kettle of tea off the fire.
Inuyasha set both his hands down on the wooden floor and stared intensely at his wife. He nodded his head for her to continue.
"I'm going to go on an exorcism with Moroha tomorrow around lunch at the neighboring village. She's trying to get better with her spiritual powers, sometime before or after I will ask her about the letters." Kagome told him as she poured herself a cup of tea.
Inuyasha widened. "That means-"
Kagome nodded and poured her husband's cup "You get Ichi."
Inuyasha cringed a bit at that. " 'Gome, we haven't exactly been close lately. Ich might not want to talk to me." His ears dropped, Ichiki seemed to be more attached to his mother. It hurt but it might be better if they switched.
His wife seemed to read his mind. Looking down at her tea Kagome shook her head "Inuyasha. You've tried to talk to Moroha about those letters again and again and she still hasn't told you a thing, this might be a girl thing that I can help her with." She said with a coy smile as she looked up.
"Last I checked your no girl." Kagome giggled, it still and always will make Inuyasha smile. That laugh.
She continued. "Ichiki hasn't been very close to me lately either, he might just not want to talk period. It's still good for him to know that you and I will always be there for when he is ready to talk." She grabbed his hand.
Inuyasha put down his tea and adjusted his grip to hold her hand more comfortably.
"You know you're a good mother wench."
"And your amazing father husband."
Little did the parents know, in Inuyasha Forest, under The Sacred Tree, two young youths were having the same conversation.
"There you two are!" Inuyasha shouted out from the porch of the hut. Kagome and Moroha were supposed to leave already but she was late.
Looking at his two kids as they walked closer to him, Inuyasha noticed his son's short white hair all scuffed up.
Ah, so she was late because of sibling duties.
"Geez Moroha you're going to be late for your job with mom because you decided to rough up your brother?" Inuyasha laughed, his daughter's eyes widened.
Moroha gasped and put her hands on her head. "Oh crap! That's right, the exorcism!"
She jumped past him to run inside the hut.
Inuyasha could hear her cursing and rummaging throughout the two room building, trying to grab all of her stuff if he had to guess. In less than a minute the young girl crashed back outside desperately stuffing her belongings in a bag while the bow on her right shoulder slid down her arm with arrows falling out from the quiver that was on her back.
"Did mom leave already?!" She asked as she frantically began picking the fallen arrows up. Inuyasha was desperately holding his breath to keep from cracking up, oh Moroha was definitely his daughter, but right now she was all Kagome.
"Yeah she left just a few minutes ago, said if you really wanted to come you'd catch up if you wanted to." He mimicked his wife's words in the 'that's mom' voice.
"Dammit! Okay shit-" Moroha gasped as she ran down to her father and gave him a quick peck on the cheek and immediately wasted no time in messing up Ichiki's hair some more by ruffling it harshly. Then she was off following her mother's scent.
"Bye guys!" She yelled as she disappeared in the distance.
Once he was sure he was out of ear shot, he laughed. Inuyasha couldn't help it, the entire scenario brought back memories of when Kagome was late for those tests back in her world. Cursing and stuffing her backpack to it nearly popped, watching her run down the shrine yelling "goodbye!" and "see you later!" Just to fall down the stairs and for him to come rescue the clumsy wench. He laughed harder, his son seemed to find the scenario just as funny as he did because Ichiki began to laugh too.
Once the two calmed down Inuyasha looked at his son's hair again and wanted to laugh some more. His sister had done some damage to her poor brother. Ichikis hair wasn't like his, sure it was the same color but it was more similar texture to human hair which meant it got tangled and tangled badly.
Putting his hand behind Ichikis back he pushed him toward the hut,
"C'mon bud let's fix that rat nest on your head, what did she do? Put sap in or something, it's totally sticking up."
"I guess that's what I get for picking a fight with the vicious Beniyasha" Ichiki laughed and looked down at the ground.
Inuyasha sighed, still no eye contact he guessed. Once they were inside he grabbed the Kagome's comb she left on a shelf near the cooking area.
"Brush it out, I'll start lunch. Your mom left some stuff for me to cook." He said handing the comb to Ichiki.
Ichiki grabbed the comb but didn't start brushing his hair, he just kind of looked at it funny, running his fingers along the ridges. Inuyasha raised his eyebrow at that.
"You okay bud?" He asked, Ichiki looked kind of nervous, it was odd.
His son just looked up and smiled at him, opened his mouth but closed it again. Then he opened it again. "Um yeah! I was just wondering if- I don't know maybe we could uh-" Ichiki tried but just looked down again and shook his head.
"Nevermind." He mumbled and began to brush his hair. Inuyasha frowned, he couldn't force him to talk. He would just have to wait, he guessed. So he turned and was going to begin to start to cook and then he heard his son again.
"Maybe after lunch we could do a little training? Like the fighting kind?" It was mumbled under his breath but Inuyasha heard it all the same. His ears perked up, and he turned back to look at Ichiki who was looking back at him with his bright blue eyes.
"Really? Like hand to hand combat?" Inuyasha asked, trying not to sound too hopeful, since when did Ichiki want to learn stuff like that?
His son gave him an awkward smile. "If you don't mind, yeah, I thought it might be fun, you know?" His smile wavered and he looked back down. "We don't have to if you don't wan-"
Inuyasha stopped him immediately and put his hands up, "No! I want to! Yeah after lunch you can throw some punches at your old man Kay?"
Ichiki smiled again, this time a real one. Teeth and all. "Yeah okay!" He laughed.
Halfway to the neighboring village there was a blushing quarter demon stammering out little things written in the letters she holds dear to her heart while her mother smiled and nodded.
Teenagers, everything to them is so big no matter how little.
Fin.
I love writing Inukag family. They make me so happy 😁

I Can’t Fight
“Moroha you got to learn to dodge with your hands! Not your face!” Inuyasha scolded putting one hand at his side and the other point at his fifteen year old.
Moroha gave him an all too familiar cocky grin. “C’mon old man! You scared to hit a girl” She teased hopping from side to side, her fist still up.
“No! I'm scared I’m going to give my kid a black eye—!” He barely missed the foot in his face. Pushing it away and gaining himself some distance he looked up to see his daughter staring at him with something in her eyes that could only be said as feral.
Inuyasha had started training Moroha when she was only ten, five years later here he almost got her stinking foot crushed into his face. Who knew his little girl would be such a good sparring partner. Gone were the days his baby girl brought him flowers and asked him to braid her hair and now the future where she was this little devil combination of Kagome and himself.
“Cheap shot Kiddo!” Inuyasha laughed, cracking his knuckles. Moroha stuck out her tongue and used her two fingers to motion him forward. All her mother was there.
Oh Moroha was on her ass in seconds. Whining like a baby as she stared up at the blue sky, the sun being blocked out by her father.
“Looks like your old man still has some tricks up his sleeve.” Inuyasha chuckled and reached his hand down for her to take, which she did and he pulled her up onto her feet. Looking over to his right he saw Ichiki sitting on the porch watching intensely with blue eyes, Inuyasha gave him a thumbs up.
“Well Ichi you were keeping score, who won?” Inuyasha called out to his little boy. He had given him the job of keeping score of the sparring matches because Inuyasha got worried about him sometimes. Kids needed stuff to do to pass the time.
“Moroha lost by one, if she had won this one you guys would have tied.” Ichiki said, showing the count with his fingers.
“Dammit.” “Damn. I’m getting rusty” the daughter-father duo cursed.
“Language you two!”
Inuyasha's ear twitched looking up at his wife. Kagome had just walked out of their hut with a basket on her hip.
Walking up to her leaving a grumbling Moroha, he stopped right in front of her. His wife was taller by standing on the porch.
“You heading out ‘Gome?” Inuyasha asked, putting his hand on top of Ichiki’s head who was sitting next to him. His son giggled as he ruffled his short hair.
“Yeah Kaede needs me, her back has been really bad lately.” Kagome said, frowning slightly, “it's just the curse of old age I guess.”
Inuyasha watched as she shook her head as if to get rid of an idea that popped up in it. Kagome's beautiful smile returned. “I was going to take Ichiki with me.” She gestured to their boy with her open hand.
Inuyasha leaned down to him, Ichiki may be sitting down on the porch but the boy was still smaller than most his age. “You want me to save you bud? Your moms just going to tell you about plants and junk.” He whispered. Wiggling his fingers on ‘plants and junk’.
Ichi shook his head, and got up to stand next to his mother. “Thanks but I’m good.”
Inuyasha's smile wavered, Kagome and Ichiki started walking toward the direction of the village “…Okay, well if you change your mind your sister and I will just be bonking heads here” he called out once they got some distance.
All he got was a wave goodbye.
——————————————-
Inuyasha’s Forest was usually quiet but today near The Sacred Tree you could hear small heavy breathing. At the base of the tree was a small boy punching air mumbling to himself.
“Okay so..” he thought it over. “You block with your hands, cover your face. If you can’t see, you're as good as dead.” Ichiki told himself, rehearsing his fathers words.
The ten year old had told his mother he was going to play in the forest while she did her priestess chores, she didn’t mind. Their home wasn’t too far from The Sacred Tree, or The Bone Eaters Well.. Their small hut was right between these two special places, but that was a long story to remember another day.
Right now Ichiki had to think about what his father told his sister during training today.
Ichiki couldn’t fight, he himself came up with this conclusion. One Air punch.
He didn’t seem to have demonic powers. Two punches.
“Remember your footing…” he mumbled, jumping on his heels, spreading his legs a bit.
His spiritual powers he did have could be strong in the future , but everything he’s been learning there has nothing to do with self defense. Three punches.
Backing up a bit, Ichi attempted a kick, like the one Moroha had done to surprise their father. He backed up too much though. Gravity took control and he felt himself fall backwards onto the forest floor with the fallen leaves. They cracked as he landed, it was Fall they were dead already.
“Dang it.” Ichiki muttered, looking up at the forest, some trees still had leaves struggling to hold on. Maybe he was in denial.
“What on earth are you doing down there quarter demon?”
Ichiki gasped and immediately sat up, leaves falling from his white hair as he did so. His eyes were met with a familiar small figure, green skin holding the “dangerous” Staff Of Two Heads. He smiled.
“Hiya Jaken!” Ichiki gushed, the green skinned demon was always a way to cheer up fast.
Jaken just rolled his eyes at him. “Did it ever occur to you child that some demons may not even see you as quarter demon and more like a snack?” The green imp told Ichiki like it was a fact and not a question.
“Ah I don’t have much meat on my bones” he laughed standing up brushing the leaves off his clothes. “I probably wouldn’t be too filling.”
“A snack boy, not a meal.” Jaken was rubbing his temple now, as if it was in pain.
All Ichiki could do was chuckle, he always needed to be right, there was no point in saying anything. Usually when Jaken was around the village it meant he was here with Sesshomaru visiting Rin. Jaken will wait in the forest for his lord to return and if Ichiki was in the area he liked sitting down with him in silence and waiting with him. If he was lucky his Uncle would come around and give him acknowledgement.
Ichikis current smile cringed because when he thought about it, the most he got out of his Uncle Sesshomaru was a wave, maybe a word or two. Huh.
“You didn’t answer.” Jaken’s voice snapped Ichiki out of his thought process. Looking at the imp he tilted his head in a dog-like manner. “What?”
“Why were you on the floor?”
“Oh I uh, I was fighting, well pretending to fight I guess.” He scratched the back of his head in embarrassment. “I was trying to copy my dad, I don’t really know how to fight, I just copy what my sister learns.”
Jaken seemed like he had something to say about that but a cold voice from above beat him to it.
“My brother has already failed the bloodline in more ways than one.” looking up, Ichiki saw his uncle fall down to the earth gracefully like the leaves falling off the Fall trees.
“Lord Sesshomaru!” Jaken gasped in delight. Like a pet waiting for his owner to come home.
“It doesn’t shock me that he would continue.” Sesshomaru said, looking down at him with his piercing amber eyes.
“Uncle Sesshomaru?”
“Nephew.” One word, but acknowledgment nonetheless. Ichiki smiled and Sesshomaru just looked at him. The cold wind blew through his short hair and around his uncle’s. Being so long it moved it around but never in his face.
Sesshomaru turned and began to walk away, and Jaken followed. This was normal when it came to their interactions.
Ichiki didn’t want to be alone for much longer so if his uncle was taking leave maybe he should go back to his mother.
He was just about to turn away when his uncle spoke.
“Training by your father won’t make you into the fighter you wish to be.”
Jaken stopped in his tracks and looked at his lord in shock, so did Ichiki. Sesshomaru took a small breath and looked at the small boy.
“To fight you must be the predator and never the prey. When you attack, you attack to kill.” He said in a tone that made his nephew shiver.
Kill. A common word used in this time period. Not even unusual to a ten year old like himself and yet it seemed cruel.
“Why?” Ichiki asked so quietly that the wind could take it away if it wanted to.
Sesshomaru looked away from and began to start to walk away again, he made a motion with his fingers this time though. It was such a small gesture that Ichiki could have missed it. It was the same way his father told his children to follow him.
So that’s what Ichiki did, he followed Lord Sesshomaru and Jaken deeper into the forest, and it became his first real day of training. With his uncle of all people.

The Robe of The Fire Rat.
“Moroha honey please come inside, it's cold.”
Kagome's thirteen year old daughter was as stubborn as her father. (Maybe a little like herself)
Moroha pouted and shook her head in a no.
“He’s not back yet mama. He said he would be back before sundown.”
With a huff Kagome walked outside of their hut and sat on the small porch with her girl. “I used to worry about him too, I still do, but your father is one of the strongest people I know. I’m sure he’s fine” she told Moroha while running her hand through her daughter’s short hair.
Moroha looked up at her mother and made her frown even bigger. “Why didn’t he take me with him? We’ve been going on trips together but this time he told me no! I don’t get it.” The little girl looked out to the sky of the setting Sun.
“Is he mad?” She said in such a small voice it broke Kagome's heart.
Quickly wrapping her arms around her little girl she immediately forced that idea out of Moroha’s head. “Not a Chance, your father has a short temper but he could never be so upset with you he up and leaves.”
Kagome gave her daughter a kiss on the head.
“He loves you so much, hon, and your brother. Whatever’s keeping him I’m sure he’ll have a good excuse.”
Moroha gave her mother a sweet toothy smile.
Kagome began to slowly get up with her daughter's hand on her own.
“You wanna go inside? Your brother is done with his studies so you can go and bug him.”
She knew Moroha would never pass up the idea of bugging her brother.
She popped up and immediately went inside.
Kagome hesitated though. Before going through the sliding door she looked at the sky.
‘Inuyasha you left so suddenly, now you're late and left me with two worried children.’
“If you don’t come back in one piece I’ll sit your ass so hard you’ll wish whatever got to you first finished you off.” She muttered.
Maybe Moroha did get her temper from her.
She couldn’t help but giggle at herself.
—————————————————
“AA-CHOO!”
Rubbing his robe against his nose the Half demon couldn’t help but think somebody was talking about him.
Probably his damn little wife, or the monk.
Gods, he was a dead man. Looking up at the sky he begins to see stars start to peak through the purple sky.
Inuyasha picked up the pace into a sprint.
He told his family he would be back by now, the girls would give him hell and his little boy would give him the silent treatment.
Unless..
Adjusting the luggage on his back. His gifts might save his ass.
The idea came to him while training with his daughter.
He had accidentally nicked her arm the other day but he was left without a scratch, he wasn’t saying Moroha was bad at fighting. She was pretty damn good for her age and considering how little experience she had.
Even though it was just training Inuyasha couldn’t help but worry about his baby girl getting hurt on an extermination job. Inuyasha was only taking her to small jobs but something as small as a weasel demon could always get a lucky hit. He would die before he lets that happen.
Then there was his son, his little Ichiki. Ichiki has shown little to no interest in fighting and preferred to have his mother teach him about herbs and being a healer.
It wouldn’t shock Inuyasha if he developed spiritual powers here sooner or later.
Inuyasha didn't mind that of course but there was one problem. His son's hair was bright white, like his own.
He would have preferred Ichiki to have hair like his mother and sister, beautiful coal black.
Inuyasha remembered what it was like growing up with white hair, how people used to look at him, what they said about him.
It wasn’t as bad as his ears though.
He couldn’t help but be glad neither of his children had his ears, he couldn’t handle it if one of them came home with their dog ears bleeding because someone yelled in it or tried to cut it off.
Hopefully, the items in the bag he carries on his back will be able to keep them safe if he’s not always there on time.
When Inuyasha finally made it back to his little hut in the woods, it was pretty dark.
And on his porch was a small priestess with her arms crossed.
Aw fuck.
Slowing his pace he stopped in front of his wife, his ears back in silent submission.
“..uh hi, look Kago-“
She was in his arms immediately, checking his face for scratches with her soft hands. He couldn’t help the grin that spread across his face.
“I’m okay ‘Gome” he muttered to her.
“You better be! Running late, leaving me with two worrying children.” She whispered to him harshly.
“I know, I know, I’m a dumbass and didn’t know how late this was going to take me.”
Kagome sighed deeply and kept her hands on his face, her thumb slowly caressing his cheek. Inuyasha turned his head into her palm and kissed it gently.
“Are they awake?” He whispered to her.
She smiled gently at him.
“Barely, told them they could stay up for you.”
“How kind of you, my little wife.” He said as she led him inside.
Inside the hut Inuyasha saw his two children around the fire pit. Ichiki was in between Morohas legs huddling for warmth together like two birds in a storm. They both looked up with shinning eyes, and their mouths slowly turned up in a smile.
Inuyashas couldn’t hold back the toothy grin.
“Dry your tears guys, your old man is back to bug ya!”
Both of them shot up in a hurry and grabbed onto his middle before he could say anything else.
Kagome's laughter echoed through the hut at the sight of Inuyasha struggling to stand.
“Where were you?!”
“We missed you!”
“What’s in the bag?”
“Mom was beginning to get upset!”
“It smells weird!”
“She said she was going to sit you!”
“Geez you two one at a time!” Inuyasha laughed slowly, going on his knees to level with his kids.
Moroha seems to be stunting in growth, he’s going to guess her mothers fault. And Ichiki, even at eight, was still pretty damn short.
Stupid Kagome being so small and adorable, she ruined their kids!
“I was visiting grandpa Tōtōsai, he helped me get you two something.” He put his hands on his children's heads, ruffling their hair in the process.”
Ichiki looked puzzled. “Grandpa Tōtōsai?”
Moroha looked excited. “What did you get us??”
“Here” Inuyasha said gently, he pulled off the bag on his back and reached in. He grabbed Morohas first. “For you my little Beniyasha” he said as he handed the red cloth to his daughter.
She gasped. “A robe of the fire rat!”
He felt Kagome's hand on his back, and the awe in her voice. “Inuyasha how did you manage to-?”
“Tōtōsai helped, it’s not exactly the same as mine but it’s got the same material. Hunted the rats myself.” Inuyasha said proudly.
“It’s as good as armor, repairs itself and flame proof like mine, it will keep them safe.” Inuyasha said as he got the second robe out.
He handed it out to his little boy “Here you go Ichi.”
His son hesitated before grabbing the robe.
“But I don’t fight.” Ichiki said so quietly even Inuyasha could miss it.
He put his hands on his shoulders “Fighting doesn't matter son, I got it for you because you're my kid, and I protect my kids.”
“Besides-“ Inuyasha smiled. “Tōtōsai added something special for you, go on try then on you two.”
Both Ichiki and Moroha looked at each other with a smile and immediately went to put on their gifts. Not even to bother taking off their current clothes.
Inuyasha and Kagome couldn’t help but laugh when their children were done.
Morohas robe went past her knees and Ichiki was practically drowning in cloth as it piled around his feet. He gave his father a small frown.
“Haha don’t worry you two, they’ll fit eventually.” Inuyasha said as Kagome gushed.
“Oh Moroha! The red makes you look so pretty! And Ichi you look just like your father!” She was on her knees adjusting the robes on their children.
She stopped when she got to Ichi’s though.
“A hood?” Kagome lifted up the flap on the back of his son's robe and put it over his head.
“Yeah, it was my idea.” Inuyasha said watching the red cloth cover his son's white hair. His smile turned slightly sad. It was a last minute decision but maybe it was for the better.
Out of excitement from their gifts both of the kids ran outside to play. Moroha pretended to be a big bad demon while Ichiki charged at her with a wooden branch. He may not fight but Moroha will always let them win the imaginary fights because she’s just a good sister. They ran around in the grass only having the light that shined passed the opening of the hut.
Inuyasha watched from the door frame, his arms wrapped around his little wife.
“A hood Inuyasha?” She whispered watching the kids play.
“It will keep him safe.” He said, shushing her by squeezing her closer.
What kind of parent would he be if he couldn’t protect them.
The end.

Chapter 4
I Wanna Fight!
Tumblr media
“Are you sure you're okay with this mama?” Moroha asked her mother again as she struggled to sit still. Her mother chuckled as she gently brushed through her daughter's hair. “Yes baby, it’s fine with me.” stopping the bruhs she continued. “I honestly thought you would ask sooner.”
“I thought about it, and I asked daddy a few springs ago but he said I had to wait until I was older and now I’m ten! That’s two numbers you know.” Moroha said, turning her head to explain to her mother.
“Yes, yes I know. Hold still Momo, I'm almost done.”
They we’re waiting for Inuyasha, Moroha’s father, to come home from one of his demon exterminations on the front steps of their home. Ichiki, her little brother, got bored and went inside the house. Moroha had a serious question to ask daddy so she decided to stay and wait with mamma. After a while they also got bored so they started braiding each other's long black hair.
Moroha caught her father's scent in the air and almost screamed. “Mama! Daddy’s back! Daddy’s back!”
“Hold on Moroha I'm almost done, I just need to do the finishing touch.” said her mother. Moroha knew what that meant, her bow! As soon as her white ribbon was tied in her hair she jumped up and ran toward her father who was now visible.
Inuyasha couldn’t help but laugh as his daughter latched onto his torso and held on as tightly as she could. He looked up to see his wife smiling and his son bolting out the door, running down the steps, over the garden, and jumping onto his right leg.
“A little help?” he asked his wife, gesturing to their little abominations.
“Nope, sorry mister. I had them for a whole three days that made our three years feel like nothing!” she jokingly told him
“I’m going to clean up a little, good luck.” Kagome winked and went inside their home.
Moroha revealed her face from her father’s torso asking to talk to him, saying it was serious.
Inuyasha leaned down and kissed his daughters forehead then got on his knees to his five year old.
“Go help your mommy clean, okay squirt?”
Iciki nodded and was rewarded with a kiss on his nose from his father. The little boy giggled and went into the house.
Moroha took Inuyasha’s hand and slowly began to walk over to their home.
“You know daddy, I am ten years old now.” Moroha began.
“I know that’s two whole numbers” Her father said.
“That’s what I told mama too! I was talking with mama a lot today!” she looked up at him with her big eyes.
“Is that so?” Inuyasha looked back.
“Mmhm!”
“She told me I could ask you a big question!” Moroha opened her hand really wide to emphasize big.
“Did she?”
“Yeah! And it’s really big! Like bigger than uh- bigger than grandpa! Like his bone’s from your stories!” This time she lifted her arm, that her father wasn’t holding, really wide.
“Now that’s a big question, sweetheart.” Inuyasha laughed
Letting go of her fathers hand when they entered the house, Moroha walked and stood in front of him.
“Daddy, I want you to teach me how to fight.” That made her father freeze completely in his tracks. Moroha’s mother took the lead.
“Don’t look so shocked Inuyasha, she’s been wanting this for a while now and you know it.”
Inuyasha looked at his wife then back down at his baby girl, clearing his throat.
“Moroha, what do you want to know?” He asked seriously.
“I just want to know how to control what I have daddy, sometimes I’m too rough with the other kids, or I accidentally scratch somebody with my claws. Just the other day I nicked Ichiki!” Moroha pointed toward her brother who put down the kitchen knife he was using to cut vegetables and held up a bandaged finger,
“Also,” The little girl looked at the ground and began to play with her fingers,
“I really, really, want to know how to use a sword.” she smiled.
“I just watch you do it and you're such a cool daddy.”
Moroha couldn’t help but squeal as her father lifted her in the air and into his arms.
Moroha heard her mother tell her that this was a yes. While she was telling her father thank you over and over again she missed when her father turned to the side, looked at her mother and mouthed the words-
‘SHE THINKS I'M COOL!’

Family Life Suits Them Well
Chapter 3
The Fun Uncle?
Tumblr media
“Tag! You're it!!” a boy with brown hair in a small pony tail ran past his mother who was hanging laundry.
“Hisui! Get back here!” screamed a young girl with hair tied up in a white bow, going underneath the wet laundry to get closer to the boy.
Sango couldn’t help but laugh watching the two children run off, at her feet was little Ichiki, writing in the dirt.
“Ichiki?” the boy with white hair looked up, tilting his head in almost a dog-like manner.
“Wouldn’t you like to play with your sister and Hisui?”
Ichiki, now four years old, just shook his head and resumed writing in the dirt with his stick of choice.
Frowning, Sango put her laundry aside for a moment and knelt down by the young boy.
“You could go inside the house with the twins, making sky lanterns.” she tried again. She told Inuyasha she would try. Ichiki’s father had been worried about his son lately, for a four year old he didn’t seem very interested in many things. Moroha was eager about everything around her when she was around four-five but Ichiki just kept to himself.
Inuyasha and Kagome were on a demon extermination right now, so Sango and Miroku were watching their kids.
“You don’t have to make a sky lantern, there are other crafts you can do, maybe make something for your parents?”
Ichiki seemed to notice Sango wasn’t going to give up so he mumbled okay and made his way to the house. Sango started to continue her laundry.
Ichiki’s thoughts always got the better of him,
They always did, he knew they did because one moment he was making his way to his aunt’s home and now the four year old found himself walking through Inuyasha’s Forest.
The young boy looked around his surroundings, quickly realizing he didn’t know which way he came from.
“Sango?” he asked “Momo?” he said louder.
“Hello?” Ichiki knew what happened, he went and got himself lost. Was he just stupid? No, his daddy said he was too smart for his own good, but then why? Why was he always lost?
The four year old felt his eyes begin to water. If he was like his sister he’d be able to smell his way out but he wasn’t. Besides his white hair Ichiki didn’t have demonic abilities.
What if nobody found him? What if a bigger demon thought he looked like a snack? What if-
“You! Boy! Why on earth are you all the way out here from the village!”
Ichiki slowly looked up to see a green man, not much taller than him.
Jaken couldn't believe his eyes, it was Inuyasha’s boy! Jaken had accompanied Lord Sesshomaru to meet the child about four springs ago. Taking a good look at him he could see that Ichiki had grown. “You shouldn’t be out here little boy, it's not safe especially for a quarter demon like yourself.”
The child looked down at the ground as if he was scolded and then quietly asked “Do you know me?”
“Does your father not speak of Lord Sesshomaru and I?!”
“I know about Sess-hu-ru” Ichiki struggled with the long name,
“But not me! Jaken!?”
“The Toad?”
Jaken fell over, the little boy giggled.
Now laying on the grass floor Jaken was beyond annoyed, how could that little brat only know him as a toad? Sighing, Jaken looked up to see a pair of black shoes and white pants.
Gulping he looked up to see a pair of blank eyes that belonged to his Lord.
Bright gold met deep blue as Sesshomaru looked down at Ichiki. Very little emotion in his face.
Ichiki had heard about him, stories from his parents but this is the first time the four year old can think of seeing him.
His uncle looked him up and down, his voice came out smooth and neat.
“Hello nephew.”
Ichiki thought of answering but that was before red went through his vision and a rough hand found its place on his head.
“Sesshomaru,” his father said.
“Brother.”
“What the hell are you doing all the way out here with my kid?”
“Now Inuyasha! Don’t you go and yell at your brother! We found your son here lost in the woods! The brat shouldn’t have gone and wondered if it’s not our fault, especially mine! If he’s not where he should be!” Jaken quickly cutted in, getting a death glare from Inuyasha that shut him up fast.
“Look Sesshomaru, if you're here for Rin she’s at the old hags place, you haven’t paid any interest to my kids before, let's just keep it that way.” Ichiki’s father spoke, bending down to the boy and easily picking him up. Never breaking eye contact with Sesshomaru.
“Don’t be foolish, I had no interest in the first place.”
Inuyasha gave his brother one more look before making his way back to the village.
Ichiki realized he never said hello back to his uncle, it wouldn’t be nice if he left it like that, so the boy waved at his uncle as they slowly made distance away from each other.
To his pleasant surprise, Sesshomaru made a small wave back that made the four year old smile.
🎃
The character Ichiki is one I made a long time ago back In 2015 when I first finished the show.
He was just what I thought the son of Inukag would be. I love my little boy ❤️

Chapter 2
Sick.
Tumblr media
Around sunset in a small village was a half demon Inuyasha in a frantic state, Moroha, his little girl was running a fever and he had no idea what the hell he was doing.
Placing the wet towel on his daughter's head, he cursed to himself. She was fine, they were playing just two days ago but yesterday morning she didn't get up. The fever took place last night.
Kagome was only a few miles away at the village staying with Sango and Miroku but he didn't dare go to her, when his wife was pregnant with Ichiki she was so sick and frail and even after Ichiki was born it took her awhile to recover and even longer for their baby boy. Ichiki was born sick, they didn't let Moroha see the baby for a week out of fear that she would get attached just for him to pass unexpectedly. Luckily his son recovered but the old hag said Ichiki was weaker than most children and could easily catch a sickness. He wasn't taking the risk so Inuyasha stayed home with Moroha.
He should have caught the smell of illness before it got this bad, what kind of father was he if he couldn't protect his children even from something he couldn't kill.
All he could do was watch, sitting cross legged by his daughter, watching every little breath that came up and down.
Inuyasha was tired, and he couldn't understand why. He had stayed up longer than this before, he slowly leaned his head on his hand. Maybe family life slowed him down, maybe he was just stressed. His daughter was sleeping, if she woke up he would hear it. It wouldn't kill him to close his eyes.. Just for a while.
The warm darkness just seemed to swallow him up.
The knock on his house is what startled him awake. It was night now slowly pushing himself up by the elbows, he looked around his surroundings. He was lying beside Moroha. Putting his hand to her forehead he couldn't help but grimace at his daughter's warm temperature.
He must have laid down beside her at some point in the night.
Hearing the knock again, Inuyasha got up and walked toward the door. Sliding it open he was shocked to see his tiny wife holding what seemed to be a pot of stew.
"Gome?" he mumbled, rubbing his eyes to beat off the sleep spell, he looked at his wife.
"The hell are you doing here, women? I told you to stay with Rin and the old hag with Ichi."
"I know, I know, I just made dinner for you two. How's Momo doing?" Kagome asked softly, handing him the pot.
"She's sleeping, she's got a fever, it's just hard to tell right now." He whispered, grabbing the stew.
The little woman took a peak over his shoulder and made a small sound of discomfort.
"I wish I could see her."
"I know but we just can't risk it right now with Ichiki." gods he wanted to hold her, but he'd been with Moroha all day and now night, if he had any sickness on him he couldn't spread it to Kagome.
"I know Inu, I'm sure you want to see Ichi too," His wife met his eyes, she looked so sad.
"It's just so hard being away from her."
"It's hard being away from you and Ichi but we just got to push through it." Inuyasha tried to reason with his wife. It hurt not being near her and their son.
Kagome gave him a small smile that he returned. They said their goodbyes. She blew a kiss, he rolled his eyes and he watched her walk away.
He looked down at the stew in his hands, no matter how hard he tried he couldn't get Moroha to eat, and even if he did force something down his daughters throat it would usually come back up. Maybe because for the day she's been eating his cooking maybe it would be a change if it was her mother's cooking.
The next morning Moroha's fever finally broke, and after two more days she seemed to perk up. They stayed in for another two days though just in case. After being freed from her home after about six days Moroha was good as new and immediately wanted to play and explore like usual. Inuyasha managed to get Miroku help him depclean his home so Kagome and Ichiki could move back in.
Kagome was absolutely thrilled to have the cleanest house in the village for a good day or two.
🎃
Moroha is such a daddy's girl and I know it!
Please reblog and comment it means a lot 🥲

Hello!
Sense I’ve managed to finally get my 5 chapters done of my 10 chapter FanFiction I thought I might as well start posting them!
So here it is, you can read it here or on FanFiction.net
Chapter 1.
Family Life Suits Them Well
Mother of Two
Tumblr media
Kagome slowly cut the vegetables with her knife while preparing lunch for her husband and young daughter.
Kagome Higurashi was coming up on her sixth official year in the feudal era, or at least she thinks it is, she quickly tried to do the math in her head while not cutting off one of her fingers. Last time that happened Inuyasha threw a fit.
Yes, it had been around six years since she made the final jump through the Bone Eaters well. The small baby on her back made a noise of discomfort which pulled the priestess out from her thoughts, putting down the knife and shushing her son. She couldn't help but think of how busy these past six years have been.
The first month of her return Inuyasha, her half demon husband and herself were married. They shared one year of newlywed bliss before they found out she was pregnant. Inuyasha worried about her relentlessly, making sure she didn't carry anything heavy, she always had enough to drink or eat. Her husband made sure she was comfortable. Moroha was soon born nine short months later. Their sweet baby girl.
Moroha, while she loved that little girl with everything she had, was a lot. Still is, sassy, stubborn little thing. Inuyasha said she got her attitude from her , Kagome said it was from him, their friends say it's a combination of them both. Moroha had always been an overachiever. Whether it's walking early or talking early, heck fighting early! Inuyasha was outside right now teaching her how to use her claws. Moroha was a feisty little quarter demon.
To top it off, when their baby girl turned four, Kagome found herself pregnant once again!
Her second pregnancy was hard, really hard. Inuyasha did his best to do what he did her last pregnancy but nothing seemed to aid her pain. Kagome was so sick the family and their friends worried she would lose the baby and her own life. Finally after their son was born, early, elder Priestess Kaede said it would be wise for Kagome to stop having children.
The news troubled Kagome at first but now, looking at her baby boy in her arms with bright white hair she didn't mind.
Looking out the door to see her husband kneeling down besides Moroha who wore a big smile, she didn't really mind.
"What do you say Ichiki?" moving the baby to her face and giving him a quick kiss on his nose. "Should we tell them it's time to eat?"
🎃
Howdy! So I got bored and started writing!
This is my take on the end of Inuyasha, I absolutely fell in love with Inukag and their daughter Moroha from Yashahime so I've decided to write then as if they were never separated.
And I gave Moroha a baby brother :3
These chapters won’t be too long, just little snippets here and there.
Im planning only having this be around only 10 chapters long but we'll see!

I want scenes after Inuyasha and Moroha reunite where he’s just doing his damn hardest to be a good dad but Moroha makes it hard for him because she just goes off and does whatever.
Like I want scenes where she curses out a demon 20x her size and Inu is just like
“What the fuck are you doing?! Do you want to be killed?! Moroha let me deal with this- DONT GO POINTING YOUR WEAPONS AT IT”
Or she’s just as reckless as he is and goes jumping off of fucking cliffs and he’s having heart attacks praying she just didn’t break her legs and her snazzy leg warmers.
He’s constantly asking his nieces if this normal and they’re totally calm just like
“Yeah she almost dies Like 2 times a weak.”
And sense Moroha is a fighter she just charges in which he scolds for later even though he would probably do the exact same thing.
To Inuyasha it would be like looking after Kagome
But smaller
Faster
And his attitude. This poor man will never catch a break guys

OKAY SO
So after the last post I made, AND AFTER THE AMAZING FANART @beanyboobee
I’ve decided to post some more Inu dad-
Headcanons? (Can I consider these headcanons or theories I hope to be true?)
That I’ve discussed with some lovely people on discord
•So obviously we all agree Inuyasha would be SUPER PROTECTIVE AS A DAD. BUT TO WHAT EXTENT!? As someone mentioned on my discord, Inuyasha does not know what personal space is so I fully expect especially in the very beginning for him to be SUPER close to our baby Moroha
•NOT EVEN AFTER THE REUNION, after she’s born he probably keeps 1 eye and 1 ear on her at all times, THAN WHEN SHE STARTS WALKING, see that when he started getting strokes-
•And poor inu when he comes back last time he saw Moroha was when she was 4 now she’s a young woman, and I pray to god. That he is BLOCKING THOSE ROMANTIC INTERESTs, one side eye from any person who might be looking for a loving and BOOM! TESSAIGA IS IN THEIR FACE WITH A GRUMPY PAPA DOG ON THE OTHER END LIKE “You better avert your eyes mother f*cker”
•And you know he ain’t going to let Hisui around her, that little Miroku copy.
•Of course when Kagome comes back she’s going to attempt to let her daughter have a social life. grabbing her husband by the ears and pulling
"Let's go Inuyasha."
"But she's talking with boys!"
"I know. Let's go."
(I got that from my discord people)
•Like how I mentioned in my last post, I bet Moroha is reckless and will drive her father insane with worry. So I was talking on discord and with a lovely friend here @raevofdamned
What if she actually got hurt? Like she’s only qaurter demon- I can imagine a direct, Hard, attack can send her into a freaking wall and she wouldn’t get up. Imagine how phsyco Inuyasha is going to get. HE WILL TEAR UP WHO EVER DID THAT TO HIS BABY
•I believe over time they’ll grow use to each other and he’lol be a little less, only a little, overprotective. (People on discord talking again) He would give her noogies, AND RUINING HER BOW WHILE HE’S AT IT
•he would probably steal it from her and run around the forest or shrine. "Oh really? Come get your precious ribbon then!"
• She would threaten him with his ramen “Moroha! Take your claws off that ramen!”
“Give me back my ribbion mother f*cker!”
“DONT F*CKING CURSE”
•And I would love to talk about mama Kagome but I think I’ll make a separate post for her

Fin.

Reposting this here
I’m going to try and write more, maybe.
More FanFiction writing
Of course it’s Moroha X Hisui
(Guys they need a ship name-)
I’m not a good writer, just so everyone knows but
I love this pair so much even though their actions with each other have been small.
So this one sets place after they find their parents,
First off I don’t know how they're going to find them.
Second I’m just going to assume there was an amazing battle and they won, yay! And now Towa and her gang and the Inu gang, plus Kohaku-
And third I wrote this before I watched episode 5, and I did not see the Miroku cameo so just assume he was trapped along with everyone else.
Warning for Inu’s mouth
Everyone now are on their way home.
The newly freed parents are now beginning to notice the little things between their kids.
🥀 A Little Thing 🥀
God she was tiny. Tinier than Kagome and that was saying a lot when Inuyasha considered the size of his wife. Kagome stood right under his chin but Moroha, his baby girl, stood an inch or two under his shoulder.
She was a little thing, Moroha looked like a mini Kagome…. But she was just like him.
Now that worried him.
She was a handful when she was a child, he had always worried about her, but now he was now terrified.
Yesterday to him Moroha was only a four year old, small, wild, and innocent. Inuyasha had promised her the day she was born that she would never have to live what he’s lived through. That she would be raised with both a mother and a father with as much love that a child needed and more, and he failed. He wasn’t there, and she didn’t even have Kagome. She’s been alone for ten years.
Ten god damn years.
She’s grown up the same way he had, so it only makes sense that she would be just like him.
In the final battle Inuyasha noticed how Moroha charged in, he saw her attitude, how she seemed to have copied his best moves without ever learning from him. She fought with a sword like a pro even though when she was four she only ever played with a wooden sword. Her laugh though, that was all Kagome.
When she was four he had a lot of worries but now that she was older he had over a hundred.
His number one worry right now though was boys. The boy he’s worried about the most right now is Hisui, the monks own mini copy. Also from the talk of his brothers twins, it seems like Koga might have his own son.
Just his luck.
But sense he hasn’t met the little prick Hisui is the only one on his hit list.
He began to see the little things between Hisui and Moroha on their way home from the final battle.
Hisui was quick to offer Moroha help if looked like she needed it.
Moroha constantly teased Hisui, mostly about his hair. It looked neat and well groomed in the front but when it was up in the back it wasn’t small like Mirokus, Hisui’s hair was fluffy and tangled. Moroha tended to tug on it.
When the group was walking both Hisui and Moroha would slow down to joke and talk in the back.
Near the second day on their way back home they stopped by an inn. They were tired, some of them still even a little injured so they decided to stay the night. The Inn had a bath house, Sesshomaru's twins and Moroha went first, Hisui went with Kohaku to discuss with the demon slayers. Sango stayed, she said she was retired and didn’t want to spend her entire life fighting especially because she already lost ten years of it.
Sense all the kids have left he was going to pull Kagome aside to not only kiss her, because he’s only done that once in the past two days and he has ten years of kissing to catch up on, but he was going to tell her about the little Hisui thing but apparently Miroku wanted to bring it up first.
The moment Hisui left, Sango was spreading out the sleeping mats, and Kagome was sorting through her old yellow backpack, now Morohas.
“Isn’t this surprising people?! Not only are we alive and well, but! Our children are now young adults! And we are planning a wedding!”
Inuyasha chokes.
“Miroku what are you talking about?” Asked a skeptical Sango.
Inuyasha knew what he was talking about.
“Miroku, you've been back for less than a week and you're already playing matchmaker?” Asked his Kagome.
He was going to have to kill Miroku before he killed Hisui.
“Kagome from my experience you're the matchmaker here.” Bozo gestured to him and Sango. This caused his wife to laugh.
Maybe Inuyasha could snap his neck and make a run for it. Grap Moroha along the way, maybe Kagome would understand.
“Who’s getting married to Miroku?” Sango asked getting up from the bedding, crossing her arms.
“Why, Hisui and Moroha!”
“MIROKU-!”
“That’s wonderful!”
“And how would you know that husband of mine?”
“Kagome?! Why is this wonderful?! She’s fourteen!” Inuyasha practically screeched at his wife. “Calm down Inuyasha! She doesn’t have to marry him it’s just cute she has a boyfriend-“
“That’s what your friends from the future called me and we got married!”
“Well Inuyasha in our era it is appropriate for girls of 14 to wed.”
“Shut up Bouzo! In Kagome's era girls got married over the age of 18! You’ve been trying to get Hisui with Moroha since the day she was born!”
“Miroku tell me how you would know our son is marrying Moroha?” Sango hands were now on her hips as she stomped over to her husband.
“Don’t you see? The way he looks at her is the way I look at you Sango, and Moroha looks at him the way Kagome looks at you Inuyasha.”
“Well isn’t that beautiful? Too bad your son isn’t fit for Moroha.”
“Inuyasha! Hisui is a nice young man!”
“HE'S A SMALL MIROKU KAGOME”
“Um from what uncle Kohaku has told me I take after my mom more…”
The adults in the room froze.
Turning slowly they faced the sliding screen door. There stood an amused Kohaku and a flustered Hisui.
“You take after me..?” Sango asked quietly
The rather red Hisui gave a simple nod.
“OH THANK GOD” Sango cried and ran to her son and dragged him in an embrace.
“What's with all the commotion?” Towas voiced echoed from the hallway, coming around the corner the young youth stood with a towel around her shoulders, her white hair still wet from the bath. She reminded Inuyasha almost nothing of his brother.
“From what I can hear it’s about Hisui, what do you do this time?” Setsuna is the one that reminded him of his brother the most. She makes him shiver with her cold glare.
“Oh don’t yell at him Setsu!” His daughter's teasing voice rose as she pushed past the twins. Her hair was down, now she really was a mini Kagome.
Mini Kagome skipped over to Hisui, her wet hair left droplets of water on the ground as she moved.
Sango chuckled as Moroha elbowed her son, Hisui looked absolutely mortified.
Maybe if he’s scared of him Inuyasha wouldn’t have to kill him, he’ll just stay away from Moroha.
“I’m sure they're just teasing him! Isn’t that right Hisui? Wow your red.”
“Is someone going to tell us what you guys did to Hisui” Towa asked as she walked over to a sleeping mat.
“Well you see-“
“Don’t tell them Miroku!”
“But I-“
“I This stupidity has gone on long enough.”
“Why are you still here anyways!” Inuyasha hollered looking out the sliding door on the other side of their room where Sesshomaru stood outside looking at the forest.
“I’m here for my offspring.”
“Then why don’t you join them inside?”
“Because I would rather not get caught up in another one of your groups' love quarrels.”
Inuyasha was going to kill everyone but his wife and daughter. This
Was
Not
A love discussion, Moroha isn’t in love with Hisui. She isn’t going to marry anyone! They are going to go home and he’s going to raise her the best way he can with what little time he has left-
Oh god. Inuyasha sniffed the air, as did his daughter in the background.
He knew that scent and apparently so did his daughter.
“Sorry to cut the conversation short but I got to go!” Moroha yelped as she ran past Inuyasha and through the door passed Sesshomaru who was also sniffing the new scent that had entered the air.
“Inuyasha what is it?” Kagome asked besides him
“Fucking. Wolfs.” Inuyasha growled as he stomped out of the inn next to his brother as two whirlwinds zoomed over the grassy hills.
Coming to a stop the first whirlwind was easy to see.
Koga.
Besides him a young youth appeared from the wind. One with a matching face of Koga’s.
Fuck. The wolf pup had a wolf pup.
This isn’t going to be a little thing.

You know what I’ve always really wanted to see sense I was a kid?
So you know how Kagome got shot in the second movie? And it just magically disappeared
Well I always thought what if the wound didn’t disappear?
Like on their way back home Kagome starts feeling weird, things begin to hurt. She can’t tell why so she keeps going, than while Miroku is talking about her and Inuyasha kissing she doesn’t have much reaction because everything is hurting.
She collapsed in the movie because of that arrow so the her injury was probably really bad.
Inuyasha catches on that she’s in pain but before he can do anything or ask her about it she just completely shuts down.
Everyones freaking out because Kagome just passed out and Inuyasha noticed her back is bleeding. That’s when he realizes the arrow wound has come back.
So they take her to Kaede, they patch her up and than at the end Kagome and Inuyasha talk about what happened
The kiss, her jumping in front of him and taking the hit, and than it’s just Some Inukag stupid love.
that was what I always wanted to see. I cant write for shit but if anybody has any inspiration from this please be my guest and write it! Tag me please.
