this weekend was super fun, my best friend came down when he was on spring break. yesterday it was really nice out so we walked downtown and went to my favorite bookstore. i bought Lapvona by Otessa Moshfegh. i recently read My Year of Rest and Relaxation, also by her, and i really enjoyed it.

saturday 3/11/23

spring break is coming to an end, so i needed to finish some work before heading back to school. i didn’t have a ton to do, which was nice. i worked at a local public library. on friday i got to go to the national gallery of art in washington dc with my dad and had the time of my life. we didn’t get all the way through the museum, but it was so exciting to be able to see some of the works i had been studying in class in person.

i took this picture at a local restaurant near campus this weekend and i absolutely loved this sign. tonight was the last night before spring break, so i spent some time with my friends after classes which meant i got a late start on my work, but i also had a lot less i needed to get done tonight.

i got most of my midterm grades back and i’m super happy with them! i’m really proud of myself for the work that i’ve put in so far this semester. i’m very excited to have some time off too.

Day 2

Went to the college library to study today. There's just something about sharing a room with people who are all quietly hustling, putting in the hours, it's a daily dose of inspiration.

Also, started reading murakami today. Been so long, hopefully it will take me out of my reader's block.

today i got a late start on my work once again. i worked in the cafe part of the library. it wasn’t my favorite place to work as i found the music they were playing very distracting. i also didn’t get as much done today as i was hoping.

thursday 2/23/23

today was super nice out so i spend a long while out on the sun, which meant i got a late start on my work. i spent quite a few hours on the quiet floor of the library in the reading room, and it may be my new favorite spot to do work on campus. there are so many books and it’s completely silent.

back on campus today and i had a really productive day! i spent around 5 hours in the library and i found a new spot in the there that i’m going to use as a study spot more. it’s been really nice on campus this past week, and i hope to spend a little more time outside.

i went home for the weekend, so i didn’t get a ton done. i visited my friend at another university and it was so fun to see another school. it was a beautiful campus and it was lovely to get a break from my dorm and campus.
