What do you think is the first step to learn any foreign language?

Personally, I speak French, German, Hindi, English and little bit of Spanish (in bits and pieces lol)

In my opinion, the most essential step to get started with language learning process is listening to authentic random audio notes in the target language. It not only helps to understand the sound of the language but also helps to understand if you really like how the language sounds in real life which inturn accelerates the process.
