hello but has anyone noticed the fact that this is pretty much to only time we’ve ever seen alec joking?! like, joking and this kind of affectionate banter isnt exactly integral in his soldier-esque upbringing. knowing alec, he was probably too terrified to even try to make a joke in the institute environment in fear of people not taking him seriously and/or being undermined, so to see him so happy and comfortable that he can simply joke around and express this kind of love shows how much he trusts magnus and that is so important and such an incredible part of their hella healthy relationship
