My name is Genten! I really like Touhou because of the cute designs and fun characters. My main fandoms currently are Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure and Yume Nikki, but Touhou is one of my oldest interests and I always have a soft spot for it in my heart.

When and how did you join the Touhou fandom, what was your first game?

I joined around 2008 when I started going to anime conventions more and made a DeviantArt account. The characters were so cute, I really wanted to find out where they were from. My first game was (of course) Perfect Cherry Blossom, though I’m not good at bullet shooters! I didn’t actually play any games beyond a bit of this one, but I actively kept up with the games and characters.

What do you like about Touhou?

The cute characters and their outfits in particular. I admired so many artists who drew cute girls in frilly and flowing dresses. I wanted to draw them too!

Who’s your favourite Touhou character?

Cirno was the character I drew the most for sure, but I like Mamizou’s design a lot.

What’s your favourite Touhou game?

Perfect Cherry Blossom

What’s your favoutite Touhou stage/miniboss/boss theme?

Flowering Night (the classic)
