Pokemon Teams for adult Owl House Characters.

So last year one of the big things I liked to do on Tumblr was take characters from Fantasy cartoons, think about, and design pokemon teams for them. With how big The Owl House cast is I was able to spend so much time coming up with teams for and got multiple lists. While scrolling through my posts I found that I had never actually posted my adult characters poke list. Luckily I still have the pokemon I picked, also I have started making collages of pokemon teams and adding them to the lists for visuals. Time to make and post my late list.

Rules for my lists

1.) Six pokemon is my max for a character... actually though for this list since many of the adult characters kinda got their screen time/story lines shafted I did 6 for the most important three, and gave remaining adults 2-5 depending on how much we saw of them and their personalities. If viewers can think of other pokemon that suit the smaller teams feel free to put them in the comments.

2.) I do not give any trainers legendary pokemon. They are in my opinion to powerful to own. Mythical pokemon very rarely appear on my lists (None will appear on this one). I also purposely try to avoid giving trainers fully evolved teams, as a personal preference. Even for adult characters I like to imagine their Pokemon potentially growing and evolving with them.

3.) For character with really close relationships (rivalry, friendship, family, romance) I sometimes like to give them similar pokemon, branch evolution, a special type, or parallel pokemon to show that relationship. So that is taken into account in these lists

4.) This list is compiled from what I know based on the anime and pokedex research I did myself. I might not match the games or manga

5.) These are of course my own opinions. If you have differentiating ideas than mine, or think a character is more suited to different typing's feel free to tell me. I actually love reading those comments

Now that that is out of the way teams below.

Eda(lyn) Clawthorne a.k.a Eda The Owl Lady

Hoothoot: Represent's Owlbert. I mentioned it on Luz's team, saying how it's technically Eda's pokemon, Hoothoot is also close with Luz, and frequently joins Luz's team in an effort to help Eda watch over her.

Noctowl: This represents Hooty. Since it is now cannon that Post final pre epilouge Hooty moves out of the Owl house and in with Lilith I will say the sisters made a trade and Lilith gave Eda her an Omastar.

Cubone: This is to represent King. Dana and the crew did base King's design off of Cubone, so How could I not give Eda a Cubone? (Fun coincidence Stanley Pines also has a Cubone on my GF list)

Gasty, Haunter, and Gangar: Okay so obviously Eda would have to have a cubone and a couple owls (Owl Lady), but the obvious aside you cannot tell me that "Ghost type" would not be her favorite type. As far as ghost types go these three are and will always be the Kings. Their designs rock, all three are super powerful, they are clever. If that's not enough they're all three mischievous pranksters. If Eda were ever to have pokemon minions, those minions would be a Gastly, Haunter, and a Ganger.

One finale thing is that I have learned Gangar is a trade evolution pokemon. At first I was going to say Eda had two Haunter's and just did quick exchange with Mortin or someone... but I changed my mind and decided that Eda already had a Haunter, but tricked a stupider Emperor's Coven Scout or bounty hunter for trading her their Haunter (evolved into Gangar) for a rock that she stuck in a pokeball and convinced then was a very rare pokemon. In her diffance they clearly weren't smart enough to in charge of anything beyond an actual rock.

Eda's team: Hoothoot, Noctowl (traded for a Omastar during Time skip), Cubone, Gastly, Haunter, Gangar.

Lilith Clawthorne

Phantump and Trevenant: I decided to give Lilith three ghost type pokemon, liek I did for Eda (Spooky Sisters). At first I was gonna give her the licklit line, since its also a trilogy but well they really are not that impressive looking, especially when compared to Eda's three. In the end I when with the Phantump line. They are pretty cool looking, Are scary at first, but it turns out they just want friends. That is similar to Lilith's arc in the show... Also they have a move unique to them called "forest Curse". (The show wanted the fans to forget come season 2, but we all remembered). Trevenant requires a trade to evolve, so I gave Steve a pokemon that did too, and am just saying that her and Steve did a quick trade and trade back.

Bannette: Here's one Lilith had to have due to her... deep-seated unresolved/partially resolved family issues/sister complex. Bannette is also the evolved forum of Shuppet, which is one of Amity's pokemon, and I do like them having similar pokemon given that the epilogue implies that they became much closer after Amity cut Odalia from her life. Plus they both do work through complex issues in similar ways: getting a new hairstyle. (Another fun coincidence Stanford Pines also has a bannett on my GF list)

Murrkrow: This one is to represent her palisman Mike Socks. I picked it over a more similar colored bird because Murrkrow steal something it is bad to do, but are doing so to placate a higher up Honchkrow. This can represent Lilith's relationship with Belos and how he was able to manipulate her to do bad things.

Omanyte and Omaster: Lilith is a historian who absolutely loves history so she would want fossil pokemon, and being a part of the Emperor's coven likely had access to the means to revive a pair. I picked these two, well because they look similar to barnicles which Lilith canonically likes to make into crowns and wear on her head. For real though while this pair are smaller and not as colorful or powerful looking as the big Dino fossil pokemon, I could easily see Lilith easily loving them. As mentioned above Eda eventually comes around to see the pair as pretty cool too, and the sisters make a trade: Omastar for Noctowl. (Lilith seems to like to trading in this universe)

Lilith's Team: Phantump, Trevenant, Banette, Murrkrow, Omanyte, Omaster (traded for Noctowl in the time skip) .

Raine Whispers

small note here that Raine will be the last one to get 6, as they are the list adult who felt fully explored to me, and I cannot exactly think of any story lines with them that feel missing.

Noviern & Crobat: Now there is a handful of music based pokemon and it would have been an easy thing to just grab six of pokemon with musical inspiration and call that the team. But This is Raine Whispers! In a show filled with bards and other types of Witches They Stand out as the Most powerful Bard and on of the Most powerful over all. They deserve a much more thought out team than just basic music pokemon. So I thought deeper.

Raine's abilities don't really center around one particular type of music or even instrument. They are shown to study and be knowledgeable with sound waves. Noviern and Crobat are both sound wave pokemon. One a fierce dragon and flying type who is very strong in battle and a perfect Ace for Raine. The second one is a flying and poison type that's sonar can be used to detect medical issues and dangers. Plus both of them are Bat pokemon, and we all know about Raine and BATT's .

Zorua: this is representative of Raine's palisman Fiddlesticks. I origianlly was going to use Fennekin given that it is a wizard themed fox. But I decided Zorua was a better representative since it is able to transfom and hide its identity to protect itself. Raine was able to keep Fiddlesticks safe for decades by disguising them as an ornament on top of their violins. So fiddlesticks is represented by Zorua

A male & female Meowstic team: This is actually meant to be a reference/representation to Raine being gender queer and using "they/them" pronouns. Originally they may have both been refereed to singularly as "he" and "her"... just as Raine may have been once refereed to as before they became old enough to inform others that they are actually "they". Likewise since Raine has a pair that fight together they would now be refereed to as "they and them" when referenced or spoken about using pronouns, just like Raine is. I could have technically used any pokemon where the genders look different. I picked Meowstic because I liked its design, power stats, and being able to add Psychic types.

Drizzile: I had to give Raine a full team of six. Its what they deserve. Drizzile felt like the perfect pokemon to round out their team. It is super smart and a stealth pokemon, can camouflage itself into its surroundings like Raine had to. It's trap laying skills could be really useful for protecting the rebel base and helping thwart the capture of wild witches. I put it at its second stage of the sobble line because it is meant to be a "Moody, emo teenager", and I figure caring for it could help make Raine a better/ more empathetic teacher, which was their original job in the bard coven.

Raine's team; noviern, Crobat, Zorua, Male & Female Meowstic, Drizzile.

At first I was slightly unhappy with this team because none of Raine's pokemon were similar to Eda's and rule 3 has been my most important rule for THL lists. But after I was done I noticed that both Eda and Raine's teams are comprised mostly of nocturnal pokemon, which works great because both of them have such active night lives.

Steve Tholomule

Steve gets five as I consider him to be one of the most important side characters

Sandslash & Umbreon: So I mentioned these two on his brother Matt''s list. That Steve has had them for a while, and Matt likes them so much he caught baby version of them to raise himself (I also said on that list that in this world Steve probably got mixed up in Team Rockett, before leaving it to join the Pokemon rangers) At that time I didn't really think to deeply as to why Steve had them. Dark and ground types seemed like they would suit him. These two iconic enough I could see them being recurring pokemon for a recurring character. All in all they are just some pretty cool pokemon for a character who turned out to be a pretty cool guy.

Gourgeist: Once again not one I thought much about. It's a parallel to Lilith's Treevant, and the pokemon Steve used in his and Lilith's Trade to evolve it then trade back exchange. This also kinda makes it a representative of their relationship: How Lilith is implied to be the one superior who gave Steve praise and treated him well. Remembering that Kindness Steve refused to turn his back on her when she left the coven, and was even willing to recommend her a "good therapist" when he learned she was having trouble breaking some of her learned responses.

Pom-pom style Oricorio: This one is because of Steve. It is a cheerleader pokemon. Steve's original depiction is as a guy who likes to loudly cheer for people he believes in. Originally Steve anf Oricorio cheared for the Emperor. Then they learned better, and now cheer for the recovery of the Emperors abuse victims (themselves and the others).

Nidorena: Steve's final pokemon, whom he caught around the time he left the Emperor's coven. It is very protective of children, and Steve's breaking point with the coven's was when they sent him to capture and forcibly apply sigil's to children. No no, that is not what Steve and Nidorena want for there lives or the lives of those they meet.

Steve's team: Sandsladh, Umbreon, Gourgeist, Pom-pom style Oricorio, Niorena.

Eberwolf the Huntsman

Eberwolf (like his bro Darius) is clearly a character the show wanted to do much more with, but he was introduced to late and the cut seasons meant they ran out of time. I have come up with 4 pokemon for him, and really wish I could have done 6 (this is the most powerful beast keeper in the isles!). so if anybody can think of two more please put them in the comments

Steelix: Eberwolf's ace. It is representative of the Eber's pet Ratworm, whom frequently aided him on missions.

Venipede: representative of the red-biting bugs he fought with on the day of unity

Pignite and a Midnight Lycanroc: a strong fire pig and scary werewolf for the character who's name is a combination of "Boar" and "wolf"

Eberwolf's team: Steelix, Venipede, Pignite, Midnight Lycanroc.

Darius Deamonne

Darius is another character with 4 pokemon

Shiny Muk: Giving Muk or Grimer to Amity and Jerbo who started off the show still learning their craft was a no brainer, as raising/training those pokemon could help them figure out how to craft abominations and how they should move. But I also figured that even adult/master abomination specialist still keep muk's for compainionship and as muses for their craft (maybe Darius's trains him too, when he is in his second form). I gave Darius a shiny Muk because it fits his vanity/ pretentious side. That to him even goop monsters should be pretty. ( Afterwards I remembered that Hunter and Luz are the two children I gave shines to on my childrens list, and Darius is also close to Hunter).

Servine: A pokemon that Eberwolf found for Darius/ pushed him to catch, telling him what a strong pokemon it is and how it shares Darius's attitude and dislike of being dirty. It finds itself stuck spending a lot of time with Eberwolf's dirt loving Pignite, and the two's realtionship mirrors that of their trainers.

Delcatty: Another one I chose for Darius based on its fancy stylized appearence (to be real I had to give him at least 1 sorta purple pokemon) and more indifferent 'Leave-me-to-my-peace-and-me-time-please" additude. Also it is popular in contests and Darius would likely be a retired big star among those

Impidimp: Among Darius's multiple high class, pretty snoots, he has Impidimp who is a hyperactive, crazy, board line feral... well Imp. How Darius came to own such a pokemon? Well that is elementary: It just kinda showed up one day and made a habit of messing with him. Darius would yell at it to go away or try to leave himself, but Impidimp decided teasing and annoying Darius was a lot of fun and filling; so it frequently went looking for him. This initially caused Darius a lot of frustration and prompted him to eventually Scream at it "Stop following me. I am not and do not want to be your friend"... After that he did not see Impy for a few days got a tad bit worried about it. Then he heard that sever weather was coming and rushed out into the woods to look for it. He claims he had to catch it in a pokeball because it is just to ridiculous to look after itself. No one believes this Lie. Darius loves Impidimp.

Darius's Team: Shiny Muk, Severine, Delcatty, Impidimp

Alador Blight

I settled on three pokemon For Alador

Female muk: I swear I saw an episode of the anime where female muk's were depicted as having rosy cheek's, but according to what I found on pokedex sights they actually look exactly the same as the males. Regardless Alador's muk being female is an important detail, because it is in fact the mother of Amity's muk. Hence how he was able to gift her a baby grimer when she became interested in abominations.

Pikachu: Meant to represent Ratador, Alador's little rat palisman. I went with pikachu over say Rattata becasue it is a pokemon that evolved with high friendship, and as Alador does not fly or fight with a Staff, I am assuming that Alador primarly needed Ratador for a buddy.

Volcarona: Don't even try to argue with me that a giant fire breathing moth isn't something Alador would be head over heals For. It's a flying insect, with destructive powers and potential, and its Alador. enough said... it actually gets along petty good with, and enjoys flying around with the twins Butterfree and Masquerin.

Alador's Pokemon: Female Muk, Pikachu, Volcarona

Principal Hieronymus Bump

And three pokemon for everybody's favorite principal

Indeedee (male): Indeedee is actually the pokemon I picked to represent Frewin. Now I know Impidimp is the closest to him in appearance, but Frewin is unique among pasliman in that he provides a really specific, physical, aid to Bump: he is Bump's seeing eye palisman. So I googled what pokemon would be the best at that, and Indeedee (male) is what I got. It is a psychic type, can sense other's emotions using its horns, and is super protective and caring towards its trainer.

Bastion: an ancient and powerful shield dinosaur, I picked to represent Bump's bond with his students, how protective he is of them, and his desire to shield them from the worst evils of their corrupt system.

Comfrey: We know Bump actually does really like flowers. But more than that Comfrey's helps people relax, Something Bump is shown to not do nearly as much he would like to. Also Comfrey would probably be a big help in calming down stressed out or fighting students.

Odalia Blight

Odalia only gets two pokemon

Abra: It is cute and sleepy looking pokemon, that Odalia will publicly dote on. It gives the impression that both it and Odalia are such sweet individuals... No one knows that behind the scene Abra is Odalia's spy, who reports anything her family or employee's do that she can use as an excuse to manipulate or punish them for.

Spiritomb: This one is representative of the mummy spirit she fights Alador and the hexsquad with at the end of season two. In otherwords it helps her deal out punishments

Camilia Noceda

I would have loved to give Camilia more than two pokemon (She totally deserves more pokemon than Odalia) but she was only in 3 epsidoes, and there is no sandal pokemon. So this was all I could come up with on my own

Wigglytuff: Camilia is a vet. By the time I got to her I had already used all three of Chancey's evolutionary forms on teens from this show. So I looked up alternate pokemon Nurse Joy's have owned. On that list I found Wigglytuff. Its a great pokemon, and a cute little critter, so I picked it. It helps Camilia out at her vet center, and at home has taken a shine to Vee and her baby Happiny, whom it helps Vee teach new moves.

Shiny Elgyem: For Camilia's second pokemon because it is all Alieney and Sy-fy, which are two genre's Camila is shown to love. Also is it a Shiny. IF Darius gets a shiny pokemon, then so does Camilia. Luz has a shiny pokemon too, and this is not a "who adopted Hunter post show post".

Future Career Headcannons for the Characters from Revolutionary Girl Utena, after they escape Ohtori

Anthy Himemiya: Work in/ own a flower shop. Utena suggests this to Anthy herself in the show after Anthy tells her that she only wishes for a future where she can keep tending to her flowers. Anthy smiles at the suggestion.... IF not that... well I got the idea for this after reading a fanfic where Anthy is a veterinary. That would make a good second option for Anthy since animals, like flowers, where her comforts during her imprisonment as the Rose Bride. Also of course she would find Utena, and they could be together without Akio and the games getting in their way,

Utena Tenjô: A Securtiy Gaurd. So in the show Utena is very Chivalrous and wants to protect people "to be like a Noble Prince". Her intentions come from a good place and are not necessarily bad in of themselves. An active job, where she could protect/help people would be good for her. But she also has difficulty sometimes understanding the complexity of others problems, and is prone to being manipulated. I decided against suggesting "Police Officer" because then she could be manipulated again, by a more corrupted Chief/Head of Squadron. I think a security guard would be a better job for her because there is more structure and a clearer (necessary) objective. Observing a surrounding putting a stop to any fight/trouble that break out suits Utena more than investigative questioning or arresting bad guys does.

Touga Kiryuu: I believe Touga is alive in the Anime and head cannon that he grew up into a: Hairstylist. He was a bit of a hard one because I could only really think of one time in the show where he seemed like he genuinely liked or was happy doing something; and that was when he was playing with the kitten. Now he can foster stray cats on the side as a hobby/volunteer work (probably the only volunteer work he would ever do) but it won't pay his bills. So I had to think harder. Now apparently his abusive relationship with his adoptive father is cannon across the board (shudders because no one deserves that). That man is the one who made Touga grow his hair long, and one thing the fandom seems to universally agree Touga should do for himself if/when he is finally able to get away from the bad people in his life is to cut his hair short. Well I actually think that once he is free learning about all different ways to cut and style hair would be something he would really enjoy. It might also be theraputic to be in an enviroment where he gets to exsursize this knowledge/activity regualrly. Lastly hair stylists at shops can sometimes be flirty and chatty to customers, and some will act flamboyant too. I imagine Touga's chair would be pretty popular. Don't date your customers Touga

Kyouichi Saionji: A cook. Saionji might be the most unstable character in the duels. He actually got kicked out of the duels and the school,saw the world outside...came back to Ohtori on his own. Met a girl he could have a happy and healthy relationship with. Decided that was wrong/to much for him, and left her to rejoin a system he knew just wanted to abuse and manipulate him. He is both the dumbest character show and the most aware: From the upside down castle, to the more dangerous parts of loving someone, to Touga's BS, to Akio... Saionji knows it is all fake but always clings to it... except for one breif episode where he took a break and did some pretty positive things for himself... In episode 27 "Nanami's egg" Saionji decides the moon and weather are "beautiful" tonight and that he will leave school grounds on his own and go camping. He also decided to cook (a traditionally feminine role... made all the more feminine by him dawning a frilly apron) his own food. He is out of school, he unconcerned with appearing all powerful and completely masculine. He is relaxed and smiling. Nanami came up to him and tried to instigate a fight, which Saionji responded to by remaing calm and trying to gently talk her down. You have this one moment where Saionji is being completely non-toxic and its peaceful. He is still far from perfect (At least one, and possibly all, of his eggs he found on the forest floor. Not very hygienic). But still, teach the man what a grocery store is and let him cook more meals (and wear more frilly aprons). Maybe he can camp more when he has time off

.... On that note I do ship TougaxSaionji in season 3, and post show. So if they go camping together they will need a pet-sitter for Touga's foster cats. Maybe Nanami can do it? That would be a nice way for her to make up for and show growth after killing Touga's kitten from their childhood.

Nanami Kiryuu: I just mentioned Nanami so I might as well do her next. This girl is gonna want to be a T.V. Reporter. Possibly a weather girl at first, but most likely her goal would be to be a event "gossip" reporter. She is one of the most difficult ones to for groups/people to impress. and many of her questions an comments are super random and outlandish and their is no way to be prepared for what she might say/do. Her viewers though it eat it all up and consider her to be the funniest personnel on T.V. Working as the shows Lead Producer Nanami's long time, platonic, childhood friend: Mitsuru Tsuwabuki. Yeah I don't really ship these two as anything more than good friends..Their show ages aside, I notice that their relationship mostly becomes unhealthy when one tries to make it romantic. But do show genuine care for each other in a platonic sense and are kind enough that you hope their friendship lasts. So yeah instead of them becoming husband and wife with 2.5 kids, make them partners in "crime" (a.k.a buisness) with Nanami being the face and Tsuwabuki being the brains, just as it was between them in the show (as opposed to Nanami's relationship with her cronies where it was flipped).

Miki Kaoru: A math teacher/professor. I very much do not want Miki to grow up to become a concert pianist. The piano is a beautiful instrument and playing it is a wonderful skill. Since teachers do not make that much, Miki can always have a secondary side job tutoring kids in playing it on the weekends. But do not let the piano continue to be the center of his life when it is also such a symbol of his own nativity, and how he has been manipulated into serving others. Both Touga and Akio use the Piano to get Miki to do what they want in the duels. But we also learn that his father used to exploit him and Kozue as publicity tools (which sadly broke them apart). Notice that "The Sunlight Garden" is such a famous piece that even Utena has heard of it, but no one has heard that Miki is the one who originally composed it. He got no credit. He also admits that he kept playign as he started to grow up mostly out of nostalgia for when he and Kozue were younger and had an easier time getting along. Miki's academic success has always felt "just his" in a way that the piano did not, and it has more to do with his present and future than his past. Math seems like it's his best subject, and he is able to be both an effective teacher and develop a positive relationship with Utena and Anthy, when he agree's to tutor them in it. (Up until Anthy has to go and start playing that piano song.) So in adulthood I hope Miki can, not necessarily give up the piano (forget his early childhood), but give his other talents (other stages of his life) some more focus. Math Teacher/Professor Miki, who maybe tutors in music on the side.

Juri Arisugawa: Own a bowling Ally. Juri's three main extra curricular in the anime are fencing, modeling, and bowling. Fencing is her main one. She is acting head of the fencing team. My reasons for not making "Champion Fencer" her career are similar to the ones I gave for not making "Concert Pianist" Miki's. It was an talent and hobby of Juri's that was exploited by both the games and others, and is surround by so much negativity. She took up her sword to prove that miracles do not exist, even though she wishes she believed in them. Also Miki was her only friendly relationship on that Team. All her other subordinates feared her, and she was terrified of Ruka, who was known to be stronger than her. I also rejected Modeling because then Juri would work for an agent and model products that a designer or company wants to make money selling. I definitely think Juri should be her own boss, just in a less hostile environment than Ohrito's fencing team. I like what she said about bowling in "Nanami's Egg": how she does it just because she "thinks it feels good". In what I think was episode 37 Juri states "I used to only think about myself... now I cannot stop think about myself". To me her statment implies that she wants to start thinking more about things that make her happy rather than sad. Juri has got to have some money saved from modeling gigs and Fencing tournaments. Let Juri use that as Seed money to open up a bowling ally, that she can make into a play where she and other can go, and play, and just feel good/happy doing so. Make that Juri's miracle to believe in.

Kozue Kaoru: A School Guidance Counselor. For her I am going the route of "be the person you needed growing up". Kozue is protective of people. You see that in her pushing down the teacher she thought was groping Miki.... except that the teacher was not groping Miki, he was trying to ease Miki's worries. He had his arm around Miki elbow, not his backside like Kozue thought; and Miki was laughing because of a joke not because he was being flirted with. (Has Kozue ever seen her brother try to flirt/react to flirting? Miki is a panicked shaking mess). Both Miki and Kozue were used in a way by adults when they kids, and then again in the duels as teens. Kozue seems to understand that they were used for others pleasures (social/status pleasures first, then other ways) in a way Miki did not. But, she also continuously seeks out relationships where she will still be used and craves, yet rejects, more emotional ones. Examples being how she is mentioned to have several boyfriends that she is physical with but does not have any kind of emotion to them. She yells that she does not need her parents, and then goes out with an adult man the night she learns her dad is getting married again. Lastly she refuses the homemade milkshake her brother makes her saying "I cannot have anything that sweet", does she mean the milkshake or the gesture? The PoBaW comment "We accept the love we think we deserve" really fits Kozue and how she allows other to love her. But she has moments of stepping away from this "I only deserve to be loved as a tool" mindset, Like when she let Miki take care of her at home after "fainting from anemia" or the couple times she goofs off at the piano; when it is just her and trusted friends, who do not care if she is plays the key sloppy. She is making baby steps towards a healthier mindset on relationships in the show. If she can build on that, post Akio and Anthy, then maybe, like Utena, she could use what she went through to keep protecting the "Inocent children" she relates her past too.

Also Maybe she and Miki could work in the same school (NOT Ohtori, but a good school) ,and that way they could still have time together, while also doing their own thing.

Shiori Takatsuki: Well the first thing I want her to be is as far away from Juri as possible. Sorry to people who ship them, but give me one healthy or not toxic moment between them? One moment after their early childhood where one makes the other happy? One moment were being around the other doesn't make them remember just how miserable and angry they are? Pretty much every relationship in the show has some kind of skill/wealth/power imbalance between them, and some kind of love and hate balance too. Utena and Anthy are the main ones, but all the secondary characters were meant to have relationships that mirror certain aspects of UtenaxAnthy. If Touga and Saionji (who at least have some moments of working through their issues together) are a parallel to Utena and Anthy, than I always saw Juri and Shori as a warning sign to them... that if you are not careful and do not work on things then hate, jealousy, and toxicity can destroy once loving relationships. So for these reasons I do not want her to be Juri's business partner, or even run a similar business as Juri's Bowling Ally. Shori would always see Juri's establishment as better, because she saw everything Juri did as better than her, and would never be able to enjoy her own work. Instead maybe she could find some enjoyment in a completely different field. One that maybe doesn't really suit Juri in the long run. Shori is just as pretty as Juri, a little more girly, very social, and she likes being part of a team and relying on others. I think she would be a good model period, not just in comparison to her old rivial.

Wakaba Shinohara: A Nurse. Do I really need to explain this one? Wakaba is like the most caring soul imaginable. She has wonderful optimism, great bedside manner, and is not afraid to call people out on not taking proper care of themselves. Plus I could see her having romantic fantasy's about some rich and successful man coming to stay at the hospital while he was sick, and falling in love with her due to the excellent care she took of him. Let her have her day dreams. The girl would be a fantastic nurse either way.

Keiko Sonoda: It is late and I so not want to pretend Keiko was that deep or complex of of a character. She was a lackey to the queen bee. She hated being a lackey but liked being a bully, because she kept doing that even after Nanami lost her crown. Underneath all that she falls really hard for her crushes, and likes to dress up... So either she can be a housewife to a (hopefully) nice man, or maybe she can go into clothing design.

Tatsuya Kazami: A therapist/Life Coach. The Blackrose tried to manipulate his unresolved feelings for another into making him duel. Something they have sucessfully done to more than 100 others before. But despite Tatsuya's pain over learing his crush loved someone else, and Mikage (a.k.a Akio and Anthy) doing everything that has worked numerous times before, Tatsuya is able to calm himself down. He changes his persepctive and decides "You know what? I don't need to be this upset. My crush liking someone else right now isn't the worst thing in the world. They probably will not date forever. I care about her enough to stay friends and wait for her to decide to give me a chance." Tatsuya did not need a sword. He beat Mikage, depression, despair, and anger all down, with just a few minutes and a handful of sentences.

Mamiya, Mikage, Kanae, and Ruka:.... Well they all die, so they will not grow up to be anything. Very tragic. I suppose not everyone was going to be able to leave that school alive.

So I did Pokemon team collages for the Hexsquad and posted it a couple days ago... as a test to see if TOH fandom was still liking/rebloging content. I was thrilled to find out yes. In addition to a fresh stream of likes I got some people asking where Vee was, and what pokemon she would have. Not to worry; Vee is on this list, as well as 7 other important characters, whom I think would make great pokemon trainers

Quick pause to admit that I was only able to come up with partial teams for the second half of this list, and I welcome suggestions on good pokemon to round out their teams... (I think Viney should have a Pinsir, so she can train it alongside Skara and Heracross. But I am struggling to come up with a reason as to why Viney would want a Pinsir).

okay so Royalty at the level of Kings, Queens, Princes, Princess's actually do not/ very rarely use last names, and, at least before the early 20th century (300 Years after Sandwich left England, and set out to colonize the Underland), Royals typically did not have last names. They would just refer to the selves as "Title" "First name" of "Kingdom". To give a more specific example let me borrow a name I have heard suggested for Luxa's father: "King Lucian of Regalia". All this is to basically say that Luxa's paternal side of the family would not have a last name for her to have changed.

This is not meant to derail your last name story (I really like that). Luxa's maternal side, while high ranking diplomats and likely considered nobility, are specifically stated to not be royalty. So they could have last names. Maybe Vikus gave Luxa his last name upon taking her in because it was something that her mother used to have and could potentially help her feel connected to her mother even after her death. Maybe Henry, not fully understanding the concept (he was kinda short sighted) used to tease Luxa by saying that since she had a last name now she did not need her royal title, and that used to upset her.

I also could totally see Susannah and York giving at least 1 of their children Susannnah's last name. Hamnet did not have children prior to his self-imposed exile, and my reasoning on this has always been that he rejected marriage or parenthood, believing that it did not fit the military and battle heavy lifestyle he lead and that it would be irresponsible of him to father a child that he would always be leaving behind for battle. Susannah would know her brothers feelings on this, and possibly be sad that they mean her family name will end with her generation. So she voices this to York and they decide that, since they have agreed to have a big family, and both their family names deserve to continue on, then of course Howard can carry Susannah's last name instead.

Your reason's for Hazard are sound. As for Nerissa. She most likely would also not have a last name. But maybe sometime after Henry dies, and Luxa is her only bio family left, she decides she wants her and Luxa to share a last name too. Vikus wouldn't object. He already treats her as a bonus grandchild. She never interacted with Howard in the books (I'm going to guess they would either get along, or frequently annoy each other's by needling the other to prioritize thwir own self care more than they do...not exactly uncaring advice ), but she did welcome Hazard to Regalia and helps take care of him. So Hazard see's her as family too, and would be happy about her taking the name.

You guys ever think about how Luxa probably has her mothers last name because even if as a child she was referred to by her fathers name she changed it when her parents were killed because Vikus was her caretaker and she wanted his last name and honestly last names aren't all that important in the Underland but it mattered to her and honestly she kinda regretted it because she wanted to have the same last name as henry because they were cousins but then she meets Howard and truly meets howard and he becomes the big brother henry never was and he cares for her and looks out for her and then he reveals that though his siblings go by their fathers last name, his mother wanted her firstborn, him, to have her last name as a tribute to her siblings and York agreed(because hes an A++++ husband) and suddenly Luxa feels honored and so absolutely pleased that she changed her name when she was younger because not only does she now share a last name with Vikus but she also shares a last name with her older brother and almost nothing has made her this happy and she reveals this to howard and he just stares at her for a very long time then slams into her and hugs her tight because all his life hes been mocked, by others yes but also by his siblings, for not sharing their name and hes never felt ashamed not really because he shared it with his mother and uncle and aunt and that was enough but now he learns he shares it with luxa too and vikus and luxa is happy and honored even to have the same name as him and yeah.

Oooh and of course hazard takes her name because a) its his dads and b) he is also a part of the sibling trio and then nerissa also changes her last name and yesss

So what do people actually think the background characters in the Underland chronicles look like

Just wondering. From all the (amazing) Fan art I have seen of Gregor , Lizzie, and Boots the fandom seems to have a pretty cohesive Idea on what they look like. Luxa also seems to have a pretty standard image in the fandom (Though wasn't she on the cover of the first design of MOS) with the only differentiation being how far along she is in puberty. Reminder if she was in the overland she would be in the sixth grade.

Other characters though Like really what do people think they look like. In my head Mrs. Cormaci is a plump/rounder women and I thought for years I had read that in the books until I saw fanart of her being drawn as more slim. Then I reread part of TPOB and was like Oh it never says what shape she is, I guess I just thought she was bigger because she is always cooking so much rich sounding food for charities. Then I remember seeing some one post once that what if she was Hazard's maternal grandmother. His maternal grandparents live in NYC, and Mrs.Cormaci is mentioned to have had a daughter.

Well that is bitter sweet because on one had that means that Mrs. Cormaci's daughter has been missing for years and in fact died without her mother ever knowing what happened to her (she also would not have known when her father died). Gotta then wonder if Mrs.Cormaci giving Lizzie her daughters old cloths is more than just her trying to help the Campbells while also declutter her house. But that also means Hazard has at least one Grandma who is really grand, if this relation was ever realized then maybe Hazard could come up to the overland for visits and stay with Mrs. Cormaci. Also she would probably have pictures of her daughter that she could show Hazard so he could remember what his mom looked like. Anyway I really liked this theory and wanted it to be cannon, but then i realized that since Hazard's overland features are his black hair and green eyes his overland relations probably have them to, and was like oh wow I never pictured Mrs.Cormaci having green eyes.

Another character I think about is Vikus. In my head the males in the underland Henry, Mareth, York all have short close cropped hair because they fight so much. Or in Howard's a short stack of wavy/curly locks cut just short enough to stay out of his eyes when wet. I do love the fan art I have seen of Henry with long hair though. But When It comes to Vikus , I guess since he seeks peace and is better relations, I usually imagine him with long grey hair and a long beard. to me he winds up looking kinda like men in biblical stories. Solovet however is muscled with a near shaved head. She is on the small side and slouches a bit when trying to appear as a gracious hostess and that plus her wrinkles make her seem non dangerous. When she is in planing/battle mode though she stands perfectly straight and those seemingly kindly wrinkles disappear, and she just looks completely terrifying.

Dulcet and Nerissa are other cases. Dulcet is described as being shy and very pretty. But as someone who works in childcare I can say with certainty that her hair is most likely a mess, her simple cloths likely have stains and crayon markings all over them. This girl is a beautiful mess. Then we have Neressa whom everyone knows is a mess. Since she is constantly described as wide eyed, tired, frail, to thin, and wearing her long hair a loose pony tail. But I don't often see it acknowledged that she canonically wears multiple layers of cloths at once or that her cloths never match.

I said most of the men in the underland would have short hair, could Hamnet have grown his hair out longer in the jungle, to try and make himself look different from how he did as a solider. Likewise I also imagine his lizard skin cloths being frayed and raggedy at the edges, much different from whatever military uniforms regalians wear. Anything to help hims see something different when he looks into the water. Can we talk about how when Gregor first meets Howard he describes him as tall and really strong, Then during his time with the plague Howard looses like 20 pounds and has scars wear ever he had bumps. Howard likely could not even fit into his old cloths after getting better.

What do Gregor's parents look like. We know they are both thin and tired. His dad's hair has gone completely white. Grace's cannot be to far behind with how hard she works and being in a state of constant worry for her family. Do fans still Agree with the theory that Grace is white and the Dad is black?

Also one more thing. Why does everyone think any of the underlanders that haven't completely greyed over have silver-blond hair. Like I know Luxa has that shade. Luxa would also probably be blonde if she has been born i t he overland. But it only specified that a silver tint was part of what distinguished the underlanders. Personally I always thought they could have any hair color (examples I imagine Howard being brunette and Mareth having black hair) but that it would always be paler than an overland counter part.

Like I know and respect that the characters descriptions are vague on purpose, and that the fun is that we can imagine them looking in so many different ways. But like really how do people imagine their favorites look. What little we get implies that the characters do not fall into the young adult novels trope of making them all look super hot. They are scared, beat up, anxious, and some are wearing cloths that do not fit them, some are missing body parts. To me that makes them infinetly more fun to imagine than most YA novel characters

So seriously if you have any strong clear/headcannons as to what you think certain human characters look like, please share them int he comments.

What if the 2003 Teen Titans were pokemon trainers Part II Titans East and other characters

When I made part one I acknowledged that the show was 20 years old and some laptop problems on my end resulted in it being posted months after my previous posts and about 2 months after the aniversary of the shows pilot so I understood if it did not get many views. I said I still wanted to make it because these lists are a lot of fun to make, and 2003 Teen Titans was one of my favorite shows growing up. I guess I am not the only one who still remmberes it fondly, because I got multiple likes and a couple reblogs in just a couple weeks (Thank you!). So here is my promised part 2. If you haven't seen Pat I (which has the main titans and Terra's teams) then I will link it at the end of this post.

A few things to go over before you see my lists. I am not giving any character more than three pokemon. These teens all have super powers (or in some of them's case, gadgets and martial arts abilities that rival super powers) and they go on missions and handle all bad guys/foes as a group, So I do not think any of them would have a need for six pokemon. Secondly I am basing my lists off pokemon that I think would work best for the 2003 version, since that is the version I grew up with. But the pokemon I chose could also work for the Teen titans go versions too, if anyone who see this perfers that version. Lastly I like to gove characters that have particularly significant/close relationships I like to give them both paralle or similar pokemon to show that. The titans are a pretty close knit team, so I wanted for them I decided to do a team mascot pokemon. the main/core titans all got a shiny pokemon. For titans East I wound up giving each of them a fairy type (for half of them it just happened, and once I saw that I rolled with it for the othet half). Okay that should be everything, so moving on to my teams below

BumbleBee

The Leader of the Titans East

Beedrill & Ribombee: Bee pokemon for the Bee themed superhero. One is ficesty with a sharp sting, and one is cute and sweet honey bee. Bumblebee could be both, depending on what angle she was working or how good of friends you and her were. Ribombee also takes the role of being her fairy type. On final thing, when I showed this list to friends before typing it out I was asked by two of them why I did not give Bumblee a vespaqueen instead of a beedrill. Well the answer to that is quit simple my dear Watsons: There can only ever be one queen bee per hive. Titans East's tower already has a queen bee, and that's Bumblebee

Pikachu: I was out of Bee pokemon. Bumble Bee is skilled election so I thought she should also have an electric type. I also deduced that it needed to be a small because Bumblebee always operated under the philosophy that smaller meant harder to hit. After that it was a no brainer to give her the pokemon franchises electric icon and round out her team.

Speedy

Robin's look-alike, and the second titan to prove you do not have to have powers to be able to keep up with other Super hero's

Dedenne: This is Speedy's fairy type. I picked it because both its color scheem and its electric/fairy type. Due to its small size and scrappy nature I like to picture Speedy's dedenne riding on top of his arrow and giving them an extra extra boost of electric charge.

Hitmonlee: Goes with Robin's Hitmonchan. as both Robin and Speedy are powerless hero's who rely on their own battle, so I am giving them both fighting pokemon that they can spar and train with. Speedy knows how to fight close range, but as an archer is more skilled at fighting from a distance. So off the field he and Hitmonlee can spar together and practice close range. On the field it stands in front of Speedy and keeps villains inside Speedy's archary range

Decidueye: I had to use this one, since its the only archery based pokemon. Speedy could probably learn to shoot its shed feathers, and it could maybe...maybe shoot a couple of his arrows (???). It has a rivialry/broship with one of Aqualad's pokemon; their relationship mirroring that of their trainers.

Aqualad

The telepath, hydro-kinetic, and pretty face of the Titans East

Squirtle: It's a tough water pokemon, can easily battle on land or in water, and is exceedingly brave. An all around good pokemon for Aqualad who's team would be made up of water pokemon.

Vaporeon: Vaporeon is another powerful watertype that can fight on lad or in the water. It also posses the power to turn its body into water and move through bodies of water while invincible. So its a perfect pokemon for stealth missions that are by the water.

Primaeina: Aqualad's fairy type and his ace. This is the pokemon that has the the rivalry/broship with Speedy's Decidueye. I like the idea of these two both having fully evolved Alolan starters

Mas y Menos

Twin speedsters who speak 2 languages

Okay so I gave them complimentary teams, since back when the show came out twins were often written to be the same character (Glad that has changed). SO I am going to list their pokemon together and use there individual symbols (+) (-) to show which one belongs to which.

Plusle (+) & Minun (-): I had to give them these two. They are basically the same duo in two different universes.

Ninjask (+) & Accelgor (-): Two bug types that are some of the fastest pokemon for these speedsters.

Galarian Rapidash (+/-): This one does not have a pokeball, it is instead close friends with both of them (similar to Meowth's relationship with Jessie and James). IT is still their fairy type.

Red-X

Robin's Anti hero Alter.

Murkrow: I said on Raven's list that I could not give her one even if it looked like her favorite bird, because its a thieving bird that either steals independently or to because it works for a higher crook (a Honchkrow). A dark thieving bird is something I could see Red-X really taking a liking to. He is the metaphorical Honchkrow for whom his Murkrow steals for.

Frogadier: Red X's ace. A strong, quick, and agil pokemon. It can use its tounge and cotton to take out servaliance cameras, and the ninja like way it moves is similar to Rex-X

Regular Absol: Robin has a shiney absol on his team. I wanted to give him and Red-X one pokemon that was the same and picked Absol since they both at times walk the line between good and evil. Robin's is a shiny though; to show how his friends help him keep his eye on the light. Red-X unlike Robin is a loner, without friends, because he prefers to in his words "look out for number 1". He is not a bad guy at root of it all. He is what Robin probably would have become had he stayed a solo act after leaving Batman. So its fitting then that Red-X would have a regular Absol as opposed to the Robin's Shiny one, because he has less light in his life and a less shining career.

Jinx

Villian turned to good in the finale season.

So Jinx did not have a lot of character. She was the girl hive member, had "Bad luck Hex powers"??? Basically she was like a punk witch. In her second to finale episode a hero flirts with her and she says something about "Wanting a chance" (Not necessarily a chance to be good or bad, just a chance) and that because of her powers "Good was never an option for me". Well from her finale appearance it looked like Kid Flash gave her a chance and she switched to good. This could arguably place her in the "Anti-Hero" category so I felt like I should put her on this list. I had a friend give me some help with her. They suggested picking "Witchy pokemon". Here are the ones we picked

Sableye: goes with Jinx whole spooky punk esthetic, and has types she would like

Mismagius: A mischeivous and powerful ghost. It was a Misdreavus for most for the series. Jinx evolved it with a stone after meeting Kid Flash, being given her chance, and switching sides.

Phantump: My friend suggested Pumpkaboo, but I have already used that one quite a few times on other lists so I decided to give a bit more love to Phantump. It is still "witchy" and might actually suit jinx more since I believe a comic once hinted to her being a fan of "The Wizard of Oz".

Hearing about the Hunger games continuation and thinking about all the Story continuations/prologues I wish we could get for The Underland Chronicles

Gregor's dad

I want To know what Gregor's dad (Who I want a name for... Steve, Lee, Heidi... What is his name? ) first trip to the underland was like. How was he found and brought to Regalia? We know he met Vikus and Luxa's Parents, SO what did he think of them? The Books say he stayed in Regila for two weeks (During which time he was very worried about his pregnant wife, children, and mother) and that he took a BB gun from the Museum. So I am guessing he knew about the war with the rats, but his family was in hell and he felt he had to get back soon. What happened during his capture.

I don't really want to know about his torturous time with the rats, but I would like some on how he was able to keep both hope and his humanity, the interesting relationship he is hinted to have had with Ripred in book 3 (He says Ripred used to feed him sometimes. He also was not scared of Ripred, Even though he was a rat and was "pretending" to attack his son). And lastly I want to know what coming home felt like for him and why, unlike his wife, the experiences did not make him fear or hate the underland.

Ripred

Speeking of Ripred I want All of his backstory, being a pup and growing up with his litter mates. Going into battle and finding out he is a Rager. How this made him famous all around the Underland, but also made him hated by enemies, and feared by allies, unless they needed him. What was going on when He tried to "Take over the fount with an army of Lobsters"? Seriously the Rat's don't even want The Fount. It is surrounded by rapids and sea monsters! What did was your interest Buddy?

Also I want to see his Mate, their family, and how their loss first broke him then made him change his stance on the war. Him building his relationship with the human side. Going up to the Overland to visit Libraries. His view of his relationships with Gregor and Lizzie and how it feels to him to being taking care of kids again after so long.

Hamnet

Up Next is Hamnet. Solovet and Vikus son, the beloved twin brother to the wife of the King/Queen, Brother in Law to the King (recently reread has me thinking they had more of a business relationship than a familiar one), the Regalian Army's most skilled soldier, and for a long time he was Solovet's heir to becoming captain of the Army, because everyone thought he was just like his mother. This is what everyone thought, but they thought wrong. Unlike Solovet Hamnet felt guilt. Guilt that drove him to speak against his mother in a war meeting to which she locked him in the dungeon for a month. When he was finally let out he went back to being obedient to her and buried his grief down, let it eat away at him, until one last horrible act (As a solider) destroyed him.

But give me Hamnet's complete story. Show him being a ruthless soldier and a fearsome killer on the field of battle, then coming home to be a loyal son, good friend, loving brother, and doting Uncle; becasue that is how many soldiers have to be. Show me him not being Okay but doing his best to hide that because that is all he could do. Then show me when everything went to far, and when he decided to leave Regalia, everything he knew and loved and run to a place that he and all his allies feared, for good reasons. Show me him missing his former friends and family. But also show me him meeting Frill and her deciding to take a chance and help him, him also taking chance and letting her (The books generally imply he wanted to leave his old life but did not expect to make anew one). Give me him learning about life in the jungle. How the animals there do not attack each other and instead employ a method of survival where first you hide, then you try to give a warning, then run. fight last. Show me him finding an overland women lost in the jungle and helping her. With the pair eventually forming a relationship and going on to have a child. Why did she never return to the Overland? Hamnet is a good father to Hazard, but you cannot tell me that he wasn't terrified during the entire pregnancy. Anything about Hamnet has to end where he ended. Having to once again fight in a pointless battle on behalf of Reglia, that the city once again brought on itself and got nothing out of. Our tragic beauty

Ares

Speaking again of Tragic Beauties I want Ares to. What kind of Stuff did he get up to to earn the reputation of a reckless, rule breaking, ...thrill seeker?...strength tester? To where he bonded with Henry to be able to get away with more. What were things like in the time HE and Henry were together. I don't think it was all bad. The Books clearly state that what hurt Luxa, Ares, Aurora, Nerissa the most was that they had loved Henry and could remember good things about him. Things that no longer felt the same after he betrayed them, and things they struggled with only becoming memories in the wake of his death. But the also show me his side of his and Gregor's bond, of him coming to love Gregor like he once loved Henry, and how their friendship helped him move on from the Trauma Henry put him through.

Nerrisa

This last one will never happen because its not really Susanna Collins style, but since none of this will happen, I want more Nerissa. What is it like for her loving her family and people so much, but knowing with her frailty and the Kingdom consistently being on the brink of war she cannot protect them. Show me what her visions are like for her. Note whatever we learned about Sandwhich I do believe Nerissa is an actual visionary. Her Visions of a bad and mysterious fate happening to Henry, Hamnet living for 10 years and building a diverse family, and Gregor being secretly being hidden away in the dungeon by Solovet...all came through.

Knowing that I have another question: Did she know suspect that Sandwhich was a fraud? Nerissa spends more time in the Prophecy room, analysis them than any other character. Many of the "misunderstood translations" are later "explained" by Nerissa. She got Gregor and the other questors off death row by replacing Boots with the Bane as the aforementioned "Baby" in the prohpecy and telling everyone: "they actually did complete the prophecy, you are are safe from the imaginary threats Sandwhich illueded to. Let them go and let's get back what's actually going wrong." When Greogor sobs about not understanding what the point of the journey to the jungle was (It had no point) and how him fulfilling the prophecy did not make everything better, Nerissa twist the prophecy to being about a war for the cure and reminds Gregor that because of what they discovered in the Jungle the council was forced to give the Gnawers the cure instead. Lastly she loves the one Prophecy that suggest hope for peace, even though its title is the only suggestion of it. On the day of the surrender she knowing her cousin will want to make the wrong choice about how to end this. So when she see's Ripred marked himself with an X (If Gregor and Luxa knew he did it himself there was no way Nerissa did not, she was always smarter than the pair of then) she decided to lend him a hand in getting everyone to believe he is the peacemaker, and they need to have peace. I really love the theory that Nerissa had realized what Sandwhich and the prophecies were and spent the books studying them, so she could try and mitigate the damages they caused.

One more list of "What if the Owl house character's were pokemon trainers" #3

Okay so The Owl house was the first ever cartoon I did pokemon teams for. Month's ago I made two post's on it: one for notable back ground characters, and one for our main 5. I thoght about doing one for adults... but the adult character, except for Eda and Lilith, did not get a lot of chances to be explored all the way through. I wasn't sure how to do full teams with them, and ended up did not do any for the adults. earlier this week I was board and looking back at my list for notable back ground characters; and I noticed that I hadn't included Viney. Okay she didn't get the screen time she deserved, but she is a great character and I feel she at least deserves a four pokemon team (Like I gave the Edric and Emira). All that being said I do not feel Viney and a four pokemon team are enough for a stand alone post. So I decided to add Jerbo and give him three. It still was not enough. Okay, So I will do Viney and Jerbo's smaller teams then the full teams I thought of for the Clawthorne sisters. I have also been working on smaller teams for notable (if underdeveloped) adult characters, and if I see this one still do pretty well I will post a fourth post

The Owl Lady a.k.a (Eda)lyn Clawthorne

Cubone: This is to represent King. Everybody who knows both King anf pokemon knows that Dana and the crew already based King's design off of Cubone. So How could I not give Eda a Cubone? (Fun coinsidence Stanley Pines also has a Cubone on my GF list)

Gasty, Haunter, and Gangar: Okay so obviously Eda would have to have a cubone and a couple owls (Owl lady), but the obvious aside you cannot tell me that "Ghost type" would not be her favorite type. As far as ghost types go these three are and will always be the Kings. Their designs rock, all three are super powerful, they are clever. If that's not enough they're all three mischievous pranksters. If Eda were ever to have pokemon minions, those minions would be a Gastly, Haunter, and a Ganger.

Eda's team: Hoothoot, Noctowl (traded for a Omastar during Time skip), Cubone, Gastly, Haunter, Gangar.

Lilith (Lilly) Clawthorne

Phantump and Trevenant: As soon as I decided to do Lilith I decided she should have three ghosts, like Eda did. At first I was gonna give her the licklit line since its also a trilogy but well they really are not that impressive looking, especially when compared to her sisters. In the end I when with the Phantump line. They are pretty cool looking. Are scary at first, but it turns out they just want friends, Kinda like Lilith... also they have a move unique to them called "forest Curse" (The show wanted the fans to forget come season 2, but we all remembered). Trevenant requires a trade to evolve, so I gave Steve a pokemon that did too, and am just saying that her and Steve did a quick trade and trade back.

Bannette: Here's one Lilith had to have due to her... deep-seated unresolved/partially resolved family issues/sister complex. (Another fun coincidence Stanford Pines also has a bannett on my GF list)

Lilith's Team: Phantump, Trevenant, Banette, Murrkrow, Omanyte, Omaster.

What if the Teen Titans were pokemon trainers

Doing this summary again. So basically pokemon is something I loved as a kid/teen, then I outgrew it around the time Black&White came out. Now I am back into it and am having a lot of fun imagining pokemon teams for characters from other cartoons I like now/liked as a kid. I have done a bunch of posts for Disney cartoons, and a couple od cartoon network ones (No Nick ones.. yet). Teen titans was one of my favorite shows growing up and I have been wanting to do pokemon teams for a while. So here are teams for the Main group of Titans, Titans East, and 3 anti hero’s. Now I used the 2003 version of Teen Titans, since that was the one I watched every week as a kid but if anyone really likes Teen titans Go you could probably still use most of these pokemon for that show too (Change out a certain one of Raven’s for a Ponyta, and maybe another certain of Robin’s for I don’t know farfetch.)

Now one thing important about the 2003 version is that when describing the dynamic between the titans the writers (using Robin’s name/voice) summed them up as “We are not five hero’s. We are one Awesome team". In this version the titans were all extensively trained in combat, and did everything together as a team. I do not want to take there powers away, or change their dynamic. Since they do have powers (In Robin’s case gadgets and lots and lots of martial arts experience), and already have numbers through each other; I do not think any of them would feel the need to catch a full team of six. So I am giving everyone 3 pokemon.

The main titans will also each have a shiny pokemon, the one I think would be their top pokemon, or the one that best encompasses their emotional arcs/places on the team. I also gave each of the Titans East a fairy pokemon, mostly because I saw half of them had fairies and figured okay this can be their teams version of shines. Without further adieu, teams below

Main Titans Robin

The Leader of the team

Taillow: Well of course the iconic “Bird Boy” needs a bird pokemon. It scouts ahead, trails bad guys, and yes does fight in battles. I picked Taillow for Robin due to the birds flying and normal type (Headcannon that Normal or duel Normal types are Robin’s favorite, because they are similar to him) and brave gutsy nature, which mirrors the boy wonder’s own.

Hitmonchan: Robin’s strongest pokemon. Given his martial arts and combat knowledge Robin would also have a fighting type pokemon. I picked Hitmoncham because it’s a classic fighter, that can land a serious punch, and is always training to better itself. Wiki also says it will train by sparing with its trainer, if said trainer is tough enough to be able to keep up. Since Robin definitely could, this pokemon would be a great partner for him on and off the field.

Shiney Absol: So n the 2003 version Robin walked the line between good and bad more than Raven, or any other titan. (I exclude Terra because she ultimately decided she wasn’t/did not want to be a titan.). In season one Robin believes that their is “Good” and “evil”, the two have a very clear divide, and that because he places himself on the side of good, he has justification to take any risk or try anything. A belief that clever villains (Slade) learn to exploit, and even Robin himself crosses at times.

I am giving Robin an Absol because at the end of his arc, and in episodes centered around him in later seasons , Robin is forced to admit that he thinks very similarly to Villains he fights against, and has the potential to be like them. I am making this his Shiny pokemon to show his relationship with his friends, and how at the end of season 1 he tells Starfire that he will never turn out like the villians he shares these similarities with, because he knows that his friends will never let him.

Starfire

The strength of the team. Proof that innocence does not mean ignorance

Starmie: A star shaped pokemon, for Starfire. One that like her is equal parts strong, powerful, and beautiful.

Shiny Blaziken: I will make Starfire’s ace her shiny to show her prowess as a fighter, lying underneath all her curiosity and sweetness. I really wanted to give Starfire a strong fire type. The torchick line is a good line, that’s popular among girls. I am giving Starfire a fully evolved one because our girl is more than capable... I also kinda really like the idea of Robin and Starfire both having fighting types for their strongest pokemon, Robin’s being a regular fighting type and Starfire's being a duel fire/fighting type. I think that really suits this couple.

Dunsparce: Yeah yeah yeah. I know its a pretty lame, weird looking pokemon. It’s the closest Pokemon I could find to Silky okay. It’s Starfire’s pet.

Cyborg

The Muscle, mechanics, and resident big brother of the team.

Electrode: a good electric type for Cy. It helps stop his systems/machines from overloading/taking to much electricity. Its detonation could work as a substatue for Cyborg’s sonic cannon if he finds himself in a situation where he has taken damage or needs to conserve power. I also think it would make a really good guard Pokemon for Cyborg’s room, or any place he keeps machines that for safety reasons only he should touch (be where of Electrode Beast Boy).

KlingKlang: here is Cyborg’s strongest pokemon. Steel is another type I feel like Cyborg would favor/want to train. And since he is a shop class guy with an expertise with cogs and gears, he and a fully evolved gear shaped steel type pokemon just to me feel like a match made in heaven

Shiny Mechop: This one is Cyborgs little buddy (For real I love dynamics where one person is really big/tall and then the other is really small. So since Cy is an already a big muscle man gonna say that an ever stone was used to keep Machop as mini muscle) and extra pare of helping hands. It knows how to use tools and crawls into tight space Cyborg cannot fit to fix things. If the pare are not training or battling together they can often be found outside throwing the footballs around. Cy has even tried to teach it to play video games with him and BB (though it sometimes destroys the controls).

Raven

The Hope and steadiness of the team.

I picked her pokemon from a Psychological perspective. In addition to her not having a ponyta I also excluded “Raven” Pokemon like Murkrow or Crovisquire because while they may match Raven’s “esthetic” I do not see them as matching in other ways.

Haunter: a ghostly spirit pokemon. Clever, somewhat creepy, kinda looks a bit like the shadowy magic Raven uses. It's not a dark type though, because Raven does not do dark spells. It's also generally a very silly pokemon and goes to lengths trying to get Raven figure out that she will not accidentally blow up the world if she laughs or has fun ever now and again (Haunter gets along really well with Beast Boy. It will enlist his help if it seems like it's trainer is being particularly difficult in this area.)

Alakasam: A strong psychic pokemon for this heroine with such strong powers. Alakasam and Raven's meditate together, and are able to use the similarities in their abilities to communicate telepathically, and could maybe even draw assistance/metronome from each others power pool. They have done a lot of good together. But they also both share that internal fear of "what kind of destruction would I be capable of if I ever lost control". This holds them back considerably. I don't think they would be brave enough to really give it their full power until season 4's finale battle with Trigon.

Shiny Togepi: Raven was the Titan that turned out to be great at and really like babysitting, so baby pokemon for Raven. I picked Togepi due to it being an empath (just like Raven) pokemon. More than that though, Raven has always feared that her heritage means she is fated to be bad. Togepi's sense what is in others hearts and refuse to obey those they see bad in. Being Togepi's trainer assures Raven that she is not her heritage and is fully capable of choosing to be/do good. It is her shiny because it's the pokemon that helps bring out the best in her.

Beast Boy

The comfort and laughter of the team.

So my original plan was just to give him a sea, land, and flying pokemon, since he has performed Hero work in all three. When I picked the three I found I could not leave them less than fully evolved. BB has been these animals and knows full well what they would need. This led to him ending up with the strongest team.

Manatine: Beast Boy's water/sea pokemon. Helps him keep his friends and the T-Sub safe. It evolved from Mantyke all the way back in season 1 after Beast Boy and Aqua Lad were able to put aside their differences and beat the army of Tritant's.

Donphan: this is BB's land pokemon. He liked elephants in the show and donphan's being a rock type also works because rock/earth had so much to do with the terra arc. To which BB was integral. So I am going to say that BB's little phanpy liked and wanted to help Terra almost as much as BB did. Her betrayal was all the worse for it because not only did it lose a friend, but then it had to watch its, normally carefree and happy go lucky, trainer go through such a long period of heartbreak. It evolves into Donphan in the first part of Aftershock, while trying to protect Beast Boy from Terra. It isn't able to that time. But it is still a comfort to him after the season 2 finale, and the pair get stronger over the next 3 seasons.

Shiney Altaria: Beast Boy's Ariel pokemon. I chose Altaria because of its strong typing, and because it is covered in fluffy pillows. It's his shiny because of the three it best represents the lightheartedness and support Best boy brings to his team. For most of the show its a little bird. It evolves at the beginning of season 5, like the first or second episode. The doom Patrol see it evolve. By the end of that arc (when Beast Boy and what's left of the titans Allies go to face the Brotherhood, not when Terra comes back) Best Boy and Alteria have found stones and mastered mega evolution.

(Okay so it looks like I didn't mention this up higher, but Starfire and Beast Boy are the only two Titans I could see using mega stones with their partner pokemon. Raven and Alakasam are scared of the effects/loosing themselves, and Robin and Absol are stubborn and adamant say they do not need "extras" to be Hero's).

Terra

the lost girl, trapped in a cycle she could not beat alone

Dugtrio and an Alolan Marowak: Terra first two pokemon that she has pre meeting the titans (though her Marowake was probably a Cubone then, and it evolved in between her first meeting and when she came back, a ghost of the sweet girl they met before). They represent her loneliness and how unstable her life feels to her. She is close with these two pokemon and they do care about her. Terra set's them free before staying to stop the volcano. The Titans want to take Dugtrio and Marowak back to the tower and keep them until they can figure out how to reunite them with Terra. But after everything that went down the pokemon pair decide to leave Jump City to wonder again. They are eventually found and picked up by Terra's older bother Geo-force, and live happily with him.

Onyx: This pokemon actually belongs to Slade. When he and Terra commonsense their plan in Aftershock he places its pokeball in Terra's hands with instructions to use it to help bring the titans and the city to their knees. The thing is big, mean, and super destructive. Laying waste to the town alongside Terra, Slade's other goons, and robots. Terra leaves it behind when she gives up during the battle at the start of part 2. What ever happens to Cinderblock/Overload/Plasmus happens to it. The next time we see it again would be the amusement park in "Things change".

Butterfree: I know, I know I said each character would only have three. But a.) Onyx wasn't really Terra's pokemon so she technically only had two. b.) Terra acquires Butterfree after coming out of the statue (before seeing Best Boy again). By this time she has released Dugtrio and Marowak, and is starting over with an empty slate.

Terra finds butterfree as a caterpie one evening when she gets caught in a storm on the way back to wherever her place of residency is. The storm is clearly scaring caterpie and Terra take pity on it, and takes it back with her. It turns to have been right at evolution, and was holding off until it could find a safe place to. It evolves into Metapod that night and Butterfree a couple weeks later. Terra keeps the butterfree as an emotional support pokemon. If it can go into a chrysalis, come out as something new, then go on to live a good life... well than maybe so can Terra.

Okay so this is already getting posted late because my computer crashed and the repair shop could not fix it, so I had to order a new one. Plus i think it's long enough with just these six. So I will post it as is and if it gets enough likes/comments I will post a part 2 with my pokemon pics for the The Titans East, and the two other anti hero's. The two other anti hero's are Red-X and Jinx if that gets anyone wanting to leave likes and comments in an effort to motivate me to write part two faster

I wish we could have gotten more on the bat's and their interpersonal relationships

okay we know which bat's are bonded to which humans, what each bat looks like, and basic descriptions of their personalities

Ex. Ares: large black bat. Had two bonds: Henry and the Gregor. Was very strong, a known risk taker, broody/emo, unpopular with others, still a very good guy.

Aurora: Bright gold bat. Bonded to Queen Luxa. Patient, quiet most of the time. Soft/gentle spoken the rest. Is very brave. Can fly in a series of complicated acrobatics to where a rider has to be very skilled to stay on her. Her and Ares are very close friends.

Nike: Silver and black stripped bat. Daughter to Queen Athena, and the second bond of Howard. Cheerful and helpful. Notably more talkative then other bat's. Boot's is the only one whom she allows to call her "Pincess Nike."

But that is really kinda all we know. Those couple facts about Nike's patentage and Ares&Aroura's friendship, plus maybe that the bats technically need Queen Athena's permission to join the humans for missions, is all we know about their relationships outside of the ones they have outside of their bonds

I do not think Nike is Queen Athena's oldest child. Her being allowed to go on the quest for the plague was explained as the prophacy specifically stating bat's needed to send a representative, and Nike also being a "back up princess incase Boot's role has been misinterpreted". So letting her go off into danger then checks out. The Marks of Secret quest checks out too as it was completely unsanctioned and none of the group had permission to be out searching for the nibbles. All of them knew and said they would be put on house arrest once the returned home.

But still if Nike is next in line for the throne why does the title "Princess" mean so little to her that she only allows a baby who is laughing at an inside joke address that way, She specifically asks others not to "hold it against me" when they try to call her "Princess Nike". Additionally after she and Howard become close and decide they want to eventually bond she starts spending a lot of time with him in the human land. Again there is nothing outright strange about that, plenty of bat's hang out in the humans land with their bonds. But Queen Athena can be noted to mostly stay in her land. The only time she came to the humans land was for the meeting in Curse of the Warmblood. If "overseeing her kingdom" and "preparing to one day rule" were part of Nikes daily life the way they are Luxa's, wouldn't it make more sense for Nike to stay in the fliers land with her mother and Howard to go visit her? Not the other way around? The humans are welcome in the fliers land just like the bat's are in there's. Howard has family connections, medical skills, and is the nicest guy ever. I would be very surprised if he was not allowed to go to any safe land anytime he wants. Nikes disregard of the "Princess" title and seeming freedom to leave her land for adventures as well as casual trips leads me to belive she has unamed older sibling in the bat's land who is on deck to rule befor her.

Gonna move on in a second, but while we are talking about unamed members of Nike's family let's talk about her father. He is not in the books and Queen Athena seemingly rules the Bat's by herself. Does the fandom believe he is dead and Athena was not required to take a second mate/King afterwards, or is he alive and the flyers are a monolithic kingdom (one ruler). Because of Athena's royal status I personally belive the monolithic kingdom. Secondly since Queen Athena is a white bat and Nike is zebra stripped, is her father a dark colored bat, or would that not be how bat genetics work? This is a question I do not know the answer to.

Now let's move on from Nike and talk about our boy Ares. Again even before bonding with Henry he was known to be reckless, disobedient, and a risk taker. While in our safer society this might make Ares seem really cool to kids/teens he was never popular in the underland. Since the underlanders are always at war, or trying to live through or recover from a crisis this possibly made Ares seem like he was kinda crazy/dangerous to be around (You all judged him wrong). After Henry betrayed everybody and Ares broke his bond to save Gregor Ares was then completly shunned by every bat and human, save Luxa and Aurora. Okay to give minor credit: Nerissa still cared about Ares, and the reason he didn't know that was he was avoiding her. While Andromeda and (I guess) Nike did not originally trust Ares after the events of the first book, they got over it and became friends with him. Gregor started visiting more, and Howard is friendly to everybody. But still for like six months Ares had no one in his life but Luxa and Aurora. When they got lost on the second quest he referred to them as his only two reasons to live. He gave up going to the doctor for medical treatment for his mite bites and made a desperate venture into enemy lands alone to search for them, only going back to his cave when he was to sick to keep going.

During all these times there is no mention of Ares having parents, siblings, or relatives of any kind. So was he an orphan who had no one? Or did he originally have family, who after the events of the first book, hated and shunned him with all the rest? And if so were they ever sorry?

Lastly let's talk about Thailiah. Poor, brave, little Thailiah who was such a young bat when she died so tragically. Her friends all tried so hard to take care of her on the quest, and when she still died they all cried and promised to hold her in their hearts forever. Did she have a mother and father back home? What did they think/feel when the "picnic crew" went missing? When Gregor brought the other pups back did her patents believe Thailiah would be with them? Who had to tell them she was never coming home?

The Bane Was Never Going To Be Okay

I have been a fan of the underland chronicles for 16 years. I spend time on its tumblr page, but I don't usually post on it though because I consider TUC on of the more nuanced series I have read and i could day that has not already been said. I made 1 post a couple years ago though where I answered a frequent posters theory about Gorger and twirltoung being siblings with my own theory that the rats Razor and Goldshard were Ripred's siblings (this would make the Bane both Razor and Ripred's nephew). That theory was reblogged a couple times back then and I even saw it referenced recently.

I might be late for TUC month, but I finally thought of some more posts that I want to make another post of. Let's talk about Pearlpelt/The Bane and his relationships with his parents/gaurdians.

He had 7 that I can name.

The first two are his bio parents Goldshard and Snare. We know Snare was at the start the Bane's downward spiral. He was the first to introduce violence, fear, and gluttony to The Bane when he killed the other pups in the litter because the rats were starving and Snare wanted to make sure his future weapon, sorry (not sorry) his son, got all of Goldshards milk. (Unessisarly as Ripred points out that even in those hard times any numbe of families would have taken the extra pups). It is also stated that Snare used to beat The Bane when he was just a pup.

For Goldshard, before the Bane and her other pups, she was in love with Snare. Even among other rats king Gorger and close followers of his, like Snare as an example, were known to be ruthless and bloody monsters. People in Goldshard's life (her big brother Ripred) warned her that Snare was no good and to stay away from Snare. Unfortunately she did not listen. She married him and moved far away from everyone with Snare, to a remote hard to reach, and not often visited corner of the rats land. The other rats in the pack there were probably snares troops, no one to help Goldshard. And once her pups were born she was stuck. Where as Snare saw the Bane as a weapon Goldshard wanted something else for her baby, but wasn't able to get it. When his white coat grew in she tried to forgo his prophetic name and tried to call him pearlpelt, but Snare and all the other rats still called him the Bane, and in her final moments even Goldshard uses the name. She wanted to protect the Bane from Gregor, waking the serpents to sink the ships and eat the questions was her idea.. But when she saw both Gregor and Snare outside the den she looked at Snare: her husband, the Bane's father and abusor, her other pups murder, and she attacks the bigger threat first, losing her life in the process . Her last word "Don't" was the start of a plea for her baby's life. This leads Gregor to conclude she was a loving mother. 6 months later he meets an adolescent Bane, who is already an unstable mess. On page 29 of Marks of Secret when Gregor and Ripred are discussing the Bane and his issues Gregor remembers Goldshard and says this "Maybe if Goldshard had lived" "Maybe he would have been okay". On the next page Ripred replies "But she didn't so we will never know". Well when I was a kid and first reading the books I tried to make up an AU where Goldshard survived her battle to the death with Snare, Gregor and Ares are then somehow able to get both Goldshard and the Bane to Ripred, and the pair live together in happiness, and the Bane never grows into the monster he became... But that is all a fantasy, for more reasons than the obvious this book is fiction, and Goldshard actually died. No actually going over what happened to the Bane's gaurdians and why, well even in a world where Goldshard was able to escape with her baby she would have still likely died, this time at the Bane's paws. The Bane did grow up with love after Goldshard, but it did nothing to stop what he became.

Ripred was guardian number 6. He did not love the Bane. Actually by the time Ripred was forced to assume Gardianship he flat out hated the Bane. (Once again my theory is Ripreds hatred came from a mix of the Bane reminding him of Snare, compounded with Ripred unfairly/rightly blaming the Bane for the deaths of Goldshard/Razor.) But it was also mentioned that Ripred and the Bane had only been together a week. Taking the Bane to Regalia may have been a last ditch effort to get him away from Twirltoung, and the Bane's melt down where he insisted Ripred's "hated him" and kept him "prisoner" "all his life'.. I do believe Ripred when he said he wasn't unkind to the Bane as a pup... This is mostly because I genuinely believe that Ripred did not have much to do with the Bane when it was a pup. I believe that he left Razor (the Bane's other possible Uncle) to raise him, and only checked in from time to time to see how Razor and the Bane were doing and to try and shoot down any ideas the Bane had about becoming a King or carrying on Snare/Gorger's conquest. Ripred mentions he used to have give up food to the Bane during the starvation, but that could be explaned by Razors struggles to provide for the Bane and Ripred wanting to help Razor (whether you believe me about Ripred and Razor being brothers or not, it's clear from Razor's first mention that they had some kind of personal relationship).

But let's talk about Razor for a moment. He does not get enough love or recognition from the fandom, and that's a shame because from what I can tell, despite joining King Gorgers guard at one point (he was likely forced. Even Gregor could tell was ashamed to be there) he seemed like a really good guy. He took the Bane in six months into the starvation, and raised and loved him as his own. Both Ripred and the Bane have nothing but good things to say about Razor as a parent: How kind he was, how much he had loved the Bane, that he tried to teach him survival, and went hunry for him. Razor did his best to give the Bane all the love that Goldshard had, to be everything that Snare should have been as a father.... The Bane repaid all of this by killing Razor. He threw him off a cliff over a crawler carcass. This happened between CotWB and MoS, which means that the rats had control over that river and were eating well again. So the crawler carcass was not the only food they had seen in days or anything. They could have shared it and then gone fishing if the Bane was still hungry. But no, as soon Razor tried to take part of the carcass for himself the Bane attacked his loving father, pushing/hitting him so hard he fell off a cliff and died. Then he had the desparete/dirangged idea to try and conceal his crime by eating Razor. Shudders. To the Bane's credit he did feel bad about it afterwards. When Ripred tells Gregor he cries and tries to say it was an accident, he did not know how hard he had hit Razor. He can also give a (bad and unjustafiable explanation), which is more than he could do for the next two.

Gaurdians 4 and 5 where named Clawsin and Ratriff. They were both attacked by the Bane a week before Gregor met him in Regalia. This leads me to believe they were raising him together and are a mated pair. While we can assume they were both part of Ripred's pack, they do not show up on page with names, and we know nothing about their personalities. But still they took him in knowing what he did to Razor. Knowing how dangerous he was. Knowing that Ripred probably really did not want the Bane in the pack after what happened, they still took the Bane in and tried to finish raising him. Now Ripred reports the two as having been maimed (not killed) by the Bane. When getting into specifics Ripred says that the Bane blinded Clawsin in one eye and ripped off one of Ratriff's forelegs. First shudders again. Secondly while Clawsin might have been able to survive, as long as the Bane's clawmarks weren't to deep and did not become infected; unless Ratriff immediately got some serious web gauss and medical care, they died from what the Bane did to them. Also unlike with Razor the Bane cannot even say why he did it. He cannot remember if they had done anything to him or what the fight was about. He just did it in a fit (reminder he is not a rager) and then they were lying maimed, and he could not stay with them anymore.

I am going to skip over having his army attack Ripred and throw him in the pit, because as established that their relationship was long broken and the pair where at that point enemies in a war. Let's talk about Twirltoung now. She was never the Bane's official guardian, but she had a huge influence on shapping what he became. While we know she was puppeting him and never truly loved him, the Bane thought she did and seemed to regard her as a surrogate mother. When she dies the Bane links her to Goldshard one last time by accusing Gregor of killing her "just like you killed my mother". Snare killed Goldshard though, something the Bane remembered and had had explained to him growing up. And he actually killed Twirltoung moments before, violently and deliberately, ripping off her head because an enemy he hated told him with one sentence that Twirltoung was using him so she could take over, which this notably persuasive rat vitimly denied. Failing for maybe the first time in her life to trick someone. Then the Bane immediately forgot what had happened and made up a fake story.

Twirltoung is the only gaurdian we see the Bane kill on page. But her death mirrors every other one in the Bane's life. It was violent and terrifying, and terrible like all the others. The Bane quickly forgot it just like with Clawsin, Ratriff, Goldshard, and possibly Snare. Last he killed her because he greedily wanted a crown and in a moments decision saw her as a threat to him getting it. Mirroring Razor being killed because he tried to take some of a meal the Bane greedily wanted all to himself. As well as the Bane's littermates being killed because Snare thought Goldshard would struggle to feed her pups, and greedily decided it all should go to the pup with a snow white pelt.

Hunger, greed, violence, loss. All of these hardships and horrors were truly part of the Bane's life from birth to death. Mercy, love, and kindness were there too. First from Goldshard, then Gregor and Ares, then Razor, Clawsin and Ratriff,... Ripred for sometime in-between. But none of it had the effect on him that its givers tried to make. He was lost to the horrors in his life until eventually, he willingly became them. All the good laid to waste.

Gravity falls characters as pokemon trainers picture addition

have been doing pokemon teams for characters from Cartoon shows for a few months now. I just find Inventing the teams fun. I have made various listing what pokemon I think each character would have, and detailing why I think these pokemon would be good fits for this character.

My Gravity falls one 0turned out to be my most popular. This surprised me some as gravity falls is at this point an 11 year old show. But also did not surprise me because it’s also a fantastic show that still holds up to this day.... Plus I am really happy with the teams I came up with. I think they are good representations of the characters dominate traits and their dynamics. Those were all lists. In this post I made collages of the pokemon teams I picked so I could see what the characters and their teams looked like together

I will try to link my original post to this one in case anyone is curios as to why a character decided to catch a particular pokemon

Specially chosen Pokemon teams for the kids in The Ghost and Molly McGee

I am revisiting one of my favorite franchises as a kid (pokemon) and I have been having fun taking shows I watch on Disney now (plus a couple old ones from Cartoonetwork) and making pokemon teams I think best fit the characters.I started doing this around the time I also started watching TGaMM, and I wanted to do a list for it, but at the time of season 1a coming out I had some ideas for Libby, but was completely stuck on every other character. Particullarly Molly whom from what could tell would be as enthusiastic with a Pidgy as she would an Alakasam, and as happy with an Alakasam as she would a skunky.

But now we are half way through season 2, character have been more fleshed out, and I found another pokemon/TGaMM fan who looking ats posts gave me the motivation to go back to work on what I think these characters teams would be (Hey shout out to @slowthypiglordblr. I tried not to copy your ideas onto my teams, minus one pokemon for Molly that was just to perfect, but you definitely gave me some great inspiration for my structure and to think more about the characters and possible pokemon).

As far as structure goes for TGaMM I am giving each child/teen the total 6 pokemon. Since other characters connections to Molly are so important (she is basically at the center of Brightons support community now) each other character will have 1 pokemon that connects to one of Molly’s to show that friendship. Also I Originally wanted to give Scratch a team of 6 ghosts, given his new rank among the ghosts, but I could not figure out how to swing that. So instead I gave each child 1 ghost type to represent Scratch and the effect he has, be it directly or indirectly in the case of Andrea, had on heir lives.

Molly McGee

Haunter: I give @slowthypiglordblr credit for thinking up Molly and Haunter first. Haunter is the perfect blend of silly and powerful for Molly. it’s right in the middle of a really amazing evolution line, and its nearly scratch shaped. So Haunter is Molly’s ghost pokemon

Sylveon: Here was another pick I felt was a pretty clear chose for Molly. Sylveon is a fairy type eeveevolution that represents companionship and intertwining, both of which are very important to Molly.

Alolan Muk: I really wanted to give Molly a rainbow pokemon. She slides down one in the theme song, and all things rainbows symbolize color, creativity, peace, love, the storm/flood being over... all things Molly could get behind. Alolan Muk’s colors and the rhinestone rocks surrounding its mouth do kinda look like a tween girls attempt at making Kanto Muk’s pretty, though I still wasn’t sure about Molly having a poison type. Then I read that Alolan Muk’s do not give off the foul stenches Kanto Muk’s do, and that you can feed them your trash instead of throwing it into dumps/landfills. So having one is in a way environmental. Boom

Gossifleur: I had to give “enhappifying” Molly a flower pokemon. Tat was a given the question was just which one: Sunflora? Belossom? Flabebe perhaps? Well after spending hours online going through all the flower pokemon I found Gossifleur! It is super colorful and cheery looking, its musical, and its pollen apparently has healing effects when made into tea for children or the elderly. a community service, “enhappifying”, pokemon all around. ...There is also a fourth reason I picked it, but that will be mentioned down on Ollie’s team list.

Gurdurr: Molly does show a liking for construction, such as when she organized the town rebuilding the Mega Dome. So I a giving her a pokemon that is based around construction. I will go with the second evolution on this one too. Molly is undoubtably very skilled in this field. But I bet their is still more she could learn and do.

Plusel: A bright,cute, cheerleader mouse, with a great big plus sign on it. Already a great pokemon for Molly who again might as well be her towns official cheerleader with her quest to “enhappify the people of Brighton”. Also I will go ahead and say right here that it is her and Libby’s connection pokemon. Libby is Minun’s trainer.

Molly’s Team: Haunter, Sylveon, Alolan Muk, Gossifleur, Gurdurr, Plusel

Daryl McGee

(little note here I comprised his team entirely of prankster pokemon)

Gastly: Darryl’s Ghost pokemon. Also his and Molly’s connection pokemon. I like the Idea of Darryl’s Gastly being the younger sibling to Molly’s Haunter too.

Spinarack: We know Darryl has a pet spider, so i looked into Spider pokemon. I think he would appreciate Spinerack’s more creepy design. Pus its webbing can apparently be sold as facial product or bandages, which I could see Darryl getting into since he does have some marketing/business interests.

Whimscotte: Darryl’s one evolution pokemon (Hey he would still be a pretty new trainer). One of the pokemon worlds more notorious prankster Whimscotte apparently loves to sneak into buildings and rearrange peoples furniture or leave rooms covered in cotton. This Really sounds like a pokemon Daryl could have fun with

Nicket & Klefki: At this point these are pretty standard pokemon for me to give troublemakers. Nicket likes to swipe things, and Klefki collects keys that can help its trainer sneak into closed off places. Shenanigans ensure

Grookey: Well of course I mischief making kid would need a little monkey sidekick. I picked Grookey due primary due to its hyper and curios nature, matching Darryl. Also it can hit things outside with its stick and make them better, so people cannot get mad at Daryl for it doing so.

Darrly’s Team: Gastley Spinarack, Whimscotte, Nicket, Klefki, Grookey

Libby Stien-Torres

Alright So we all know Libby’s favorite animal and trademark is the Turtle. Season 2 confirms that she has a total of 4 pet turtles. I tried to do 4 turtle pokemon, but with a 6 pokemon max , and other pokemon her team needed the most I had room for where 3. Libby’s three poke turtles are Torkoal, Chewtle and Grotle. Grotle is at a higher evolution than Chewtle because It was Libby’s caught first. It’s both big enough for Libby to hide behind when she gets scared, and grows delicious berries. Torkoal of course does not evolve.

Lickwit: This is gonna be Libby’s ghost pokemon. I think she would be interested in its lore. Also she is a writer and I love the idea of Lickwit shining its flame on Libby as he she stays up late into the night working on her stories.

Goodra: The ace of Libby’s team and probably her first pokemon (from before she developed her turtle interest). I recently watched a lot of Pokemon XY(Z) and I love Goodra. Goodra’s shy, meek, but still friendly nature reminds me of Libby. I also like that Goodra is a decently powerful pokemon that started from a dragon type the pokedex says is considered weak. This also kinda reflects Libby since in her early episodes she seems like this scared and helpless girl, but as we see in episodes such as howling Harriet there is definet strength in just how much “X-factor” she posses.

Minun: Libby is not a cheerleader, but she could definitely use one to help boost her self-esteem. Also it again is her connecting pokemon to Molly, who is Plusel’s trainer.

Libby’s Team: Torkal, Squirtle, Grotle, Lickwit, Goodra, Minun

Andrea Davenport

side post here. When I did TOH I also said what I thought each character would be in the world of pokemon: Trainer, gym leader, cordinator, breader, etc.. After the owl house I decided that was too much work and stopped doing that. I am gonna dip back into that old rend with Andrea ntd say she is a showcaser/video maker like Serena. Some of these picks are chosen with that in mind

FurFrou: Furfrou is a shaggy poodle like pokemon that is popular in the Kalos region because people like to trim and dye its fur, then decorate it with cute accessories for fashion shows. That is easily something I could imagine Andrea getting into and being very good at.

Alolan Vulpix: This is one pokemon I could really see Andrea loving because it’s just so cute, fluffy, and exotic. It’s also her connection pokemon to Molly, since I gave them both Alolan pokemon. Muk and Vulpix are not as closely connected as other pokemon on these lists. But Molly also isn’t as close personally with Andrea as she is others on this list. So it is what it is.

Geodude: She love rocks and geodes right? So here is a living Geode for her to train.

Frostlass: This is going to be Andrea’s ghost pokemon. I picked it for its beauty and dramatics. If she wanted to shoot more horror based videos Frostlass would be a great big star

Corsola: it’s cute, feminine,tough, and apparently you can make pretty jewelry or light chimes out of its shed spikes. That’s another thing I think Andrea would have a lot of fun dong

Pichu: The pikachu line is one of the most post/meme able lines in pokemon, and Pichu is the adorable baby of it. So yes Andrea’s social media page is littered with pics of Pichu to score cuteness points. It also the only pikachu clone to evolve, and has notably more color to it than Andrea’s other pokemon. This is intentional, as to reflect the evolution Andrea’s character is taking within the show, and how she as a character becomes more colorful as the show goes on.

Andrea’s team: Furfrou, Alolan Vulpix, Geodude, Frostlas, Corsola, Pichu

Ollie Chen

(My main goal with him was to give him a team that represented him, and was also different from Molly’s,because while I know they have similar interests they are different characters)

Pancham: I gave him this Panda pokemon to represent his Chinese-America Heritage.

Chimecho: Ollie also really likes music and positivity in his community. Well Chimecho is a beautiful and soothing music pokemon that cheers up anybody who listen to its song

Cutiefly: This is his connecting pokemon to Molly. Cutie is what she thinks he is. Plus apparently are pollinators particularly drawn to Gossifluer, so the pair have symbiotic relationships. Ollie’s cutiefly is at the same evolution Level as Molly’s Gossifluer so that they can train and evolve them together.

Swoobat: Ollie is a research specialist. So that means he is good at searching information, and tracking...objectives down. Searching and tracking got me thinking about bats and their sonar and locating abilities. I gave Ollie Swoobat because it is blue and has fluffy hair.

Poochyena: Ollie is from a family of Ghost hunters, who are all terrified of Ghosts. So since Dark types have an advantage over ghosts, it makes sense to me that they would all have at least one dark type, to protect them in their fight against ghosts. Poochyena/Mightyena are honestly my favorite dark types. I gave Ollie Poochyena because it’s still a young dog and like Ollie is fully capable of learning new tricks, cough*not all ghosts are the enemy*cough.

Pumkaboo (smallest version): I thought really hard on Ollie’s ghost type. He is still unlearning his preconceived notion that all ghosts are evil and scary. So I wanted to go with a more duel typing half ghost pokemon. I am also taking into account 2x08 where he manages to befriend the ghost girl in the video store and as apposed to trapping her helps her finish her unfinished and cross over.

Pumkaboo’s lore says it houses the spirits of those trying to cross over. It is a ghost/grass type mix, so not full ghost. I am giving him the smallest of its four sizes, partially to make it as non threatening as I can, and partially so it will be small enough for Ollie to have an easier time hiding while the McGee’s help the rest of his family come around to ghosts.

Ollie’s Team: Pancham, Chimecho, Cutiefly, Swootbat, Poochyena, Pumkaboo.

Juniper (June) Chen

So the rest of season 2 finally came onto DisneyPlus, Junipers is made aware of the existence of Scratch and other “Good Ghosts”, and I know have enough on her character to give her a team of six pokemon.

Umbreon; Like I mentioned with her older brother , due to the Chen’s fear of ghosts i think they would all have at least 1 dark type pokemon. Since my rules up top state one of her pokemon has to have a similarity to one of Molly’s I decided on giving June an Umbreon, so they both had eeveelutions

joltik: She is a high tech wizz, who likes bugs. Joltik is a electric/bug-type pokemon that liks to cling to machines and tech to recharge itself. June’s joltik is likely one that snuck into her house and climbed onto one of her inventions. Also Darry has a Spinnarack, and since her and Darryl are good friends then I can say spider pokemon are a connection pokemon with them.

Pidgey: Aviation is another large area of interest for our girl, so she needed a bird pokemon. I picked pidgey, since it is a really docile little bird that would not give her any trouble to catch and train, and as she trains it it will evolve into a bigger and stronger aviary.

Goomy: an obvious pokemon for June. From what I have seen of her in episodes she loves things that are squishy and gelatinous in texture, so of course she would want a blob pokemon.I do not see June as a ditto or grmer/muk trainer. Goomy however, with its sticky invertebrate forum, natural stealth skills, dragon typing, and awesome evolution line is a great fit. Plus she could talk to Libby on how to train/evolve it and i really wish those two got more scenes together.

Jigglypuff: This one is a little harder to explain. But I wanted to take June’s autism into consideration and give her pokemon that could help aid her when things pop up that could cause sensory overload. wiki says she is sensitive to loud noises. So I tried to think of a more quiet and soothing sounding pokemon. I thought about jigglypuff, It is basically a softy, puggy, non popable balloon. June could pet it if she statred to get overwhelmed. If someone was really bothering June it could put them to sleep for her. Also if she got really overstimulated and needed to just disconnect to rest and recharge Jigglypuff could help her calm down enough to take a short nap. I basically I wanted her to have a comfort pokemon, while also giving her a secondary one to use in battle apart from Umbreon.

Phantump: Here is her mandatory ghost pokmon, which she caught/bonded with after being introduced to the concept of not all ghosts being evil, and deciding she wanted to know more about them. I gave her a phantump because I do not think she would be to scared of a woodland ghost who’s big goal in its afterlife is just to keep making friends. Also it goes with her older brothers pumkaboo.

Since the Chen parents are still scared of ghosts and phantump is a little harder to keep out of sight/pretend is a toy than Ollies mini pumkaboo Phantump for now lives in a tree that is at school or more likely in the Mcgee’s yard. Juniper visits it regularly/frequently. She really thinks her parents would like Phantump if only her and Ollie can first manage to convince them that not all ghosts are bad like the one her Dad met as a kid.

What if the KND were also pokemon trainers?

Here we go again. So I have been getting back into Pokemon lately. One of my favorite things to do now is take cartoons that was a big fan of, and build pokemon teams that I think the character would have, if pokemon existed in their world and if they were trainers. I did several for Disney’s Isekial cartoons, and those were pretty well recived. But when I did Steven universe for Cartoonetwork or “The CN” no one cared. I am not sure if this one will get many likes either. It’s been such a long time since KND ended. But this was one of my favorite shows as a child, and I still consider it one of Cartoonetworks best shows ever. I love Kids Next Door. It was pretty easy to imagine the characters as pokemon trainers, and even if it gets no likes I still really wanted to do this post.

Also since sector V is so close, both a team and friend group, I decided that their group needed a mascot pokemon to show their team connection. Since there is only 2 pokemon that have at least 5 evolutions (only 1 of which is actually cool) I decided to use the Eevee line again. I used it for The Pines family in Gravity Falls, where I matched 7 of its evolutions to the 4 bio Pines family members, and three family friends who were pretty much family. For Sector V since there is 5 of them I am only using Eevee’s first 5 evolutions: Flareon, Jolteon, Vaporeon, Espeon, and Umbreon. Teams are below

Nigel Uno a.k.a Numbuh 1

Espeon: So you are probably expecting me to give Espeon to Numbuh 3 because of its pink coloring right? Nope. Espeon is a psychic type pokemon. With how focused and strong willed Numbuh 1 was, I could see psychis being his favorite pokemon type, and Espeon being a great partner for him.

Hypno and Lunatone: Continuing on my theory of Numbuh 1 and psychic pokemon I am also going to give him a Hypno and a Lunatone. Hypno because it’s level of focus kinda reminds me of Nigel’s. Also it can help people with insomnia, which if I remember Numbah 1 either had or beginning to develop. Lunatone because not only did he love the moonbase but he also really enjoyed space travel missions, *alludes to the series Finale*.

Torchic: At this point I have to stop using just psychics and give Numbuh 1 a more balanced team. He was honestly the hardest one to think up a team for, since so many pokemon are animal based, and if you remember Nigel was kind of an animal hater. Or more specifically he saw pets as “in the way” and would generally be slower to warm up to animals then his teamates. But he grew to love anything that could assist in missions. One such occasion was with the baby chicks that followed them on that one cake stealing mission, and wanted to act as Numbuh 1′s troops. Becuase he bonded so well with them I had to give him a Torchic.

Warturtle: Shades are an important part of numbuh 1′s character. He and his team consider them a symbol for him being a leader (even though to the best of my knowledge none of the other sector leaders were shades). I went to google and typed “pokemon that like to wear sunglasses” and Squirtle came right up. I could see Squirtle’s move pool coming in handy on missions, and Numbah 1 being able to bond very well with the brave and ready to go turtle. But while I wanted to keep his torchic as a cute little chick. I do believe Numbah 1 would be able to evolve a Squirtle at least into a warturtle.

Sceptile: Numbah 1′s team Ace. At this point I noticed I was giving him different starter evolutions and I decided to role with it and give a him a fully evolved grass type as sixth pokemon. Now if we go by rejoins I should give him a Meganium, since chikorita is the Johoto grass starter and Johoto is in between Kanto and Hoenn. But let’s be real Nigel and any version of chikorita’s line would be a disaster together. (Ironically though that would be a pretty good pokemon for his girlfriend Lizzy to use in contests).Also I want him to have the potential to find a mega stone and train a mega evolution. Looking at Grass starters I think it would be the quick, agile, and composed treecko line that would be best suited for our leader here. So Sceptile rounds out his team.

Nigel/Numbah 1′s pokemon team: Espeon, Hypno, Lunatone, Torchic, Warturtle, and Sceptile.

Hogarth (Hoagie) Pennywhistle (P) Gilligan Jr. a.k.a Numbuh 2

Jolteon and Dedenne: Jolteon is gonna be Hoagie’s eevelution. It’s an electric one and he is a mad scientist characters. And while I am getting a bit tired of electric types and mad scientists on my lists I have to acknowledge Jolteon is the best fit for Numbuh 2 out of Eevee’s original 5 starters. Dedenne joins his team too. (It at least is duel electric/fairy type) I am giving him this to represent Joaquin, the little leader hamster that Helps Numbuh 2 test experiments

Scarmory and Yanma: Numbuh 2 is more than just the teams 2x4 technology expert though. He is also the teams pilot, and loves spending time in the air. So he would have to have at least a couple flying pokemon. For Skarmory I wanted hm to have something big enough to fly him and his teammates around. I thought about maybe doing Arodactyle, but honestly a giant scrap metal chicken suits Numbuh 2 and the KND much more than a prehistoric dinosuar. Yanma is similar to his fly-themed jet pack and is used to fly him around personally (Jessie’s was able to lift her, and even if Hoagie is chubby I doubt he weighs more than a full grown women).

An Alolan Grimer: Grimer and Muk (who Hoagie is not ready for yet) are another pokemon I like giving scientist characters (might have something to do with me being an owl house fan), because they are kinda the slimes, and sludges, and base elements of the earth. Also Numbuh 2 was that little boy who loved gross stuff, so a Gimer fits him really well.

I am giving Numbah 2 an Alolan Grimer, as opposed to a regular Kanto grimer for two reasons. One because the dark green color makes it look like boogers, which in the KND are used as personal verification for operatives and power sources for some of their technology. Secondly because I gave Abby a more exotic/regionly diverse team, which I feel makes sense for her. But as revealed in the finale numbuh’s 2&5 get married as adults. Looking back at the show while two don’t seem to have those feelings for each other yet (Well Hoagie does not have those feelings for Abby yet. Abby may be starting to like like Hoagie, but she either does not realize it herself yet, or keeps it a secret from everyone else. Gonna guess the former, because she couldn’t keep her crush on Maurice a secret), you can see hints and suggestions that they will one day sprinkled throughout the show. I wanted to give them a connection through their teams that, like them, was more sublte. So I am giving them both alolan pokemon.

Munchlax: a chubby kiddie with a near unstopable appitite. Gramdma the Stuffem bewere the combined eating power of both Numbuh 2 and Munchlax together.

Hoagie/Numbuh 2′s team: Jolteon, Dedenne, Scarmory, Yanma, Alolan Grimer, Munchlax.

Kuki Sanban A.K.A Numbuh 3

(Note Kuki here was the most fun to make a team for, and honestly the only hard part was having to limit her to just 6. I could for real do another two lists at least for her)

Flareon: Which eevelution will Numbuh 3 get, if Numbuh 1 has the beautiful Espeon? Why Flareon of course! If Kuki were the only operative to get an eevelution the correct one for her would still be Flareon. Flareon is fluffiest one. It’s adorable. Like Numbuh 3 it’s base demeanor and attitude are that of a sweetheart, but if you are dumb enough to make it mad it will set itself and your sorry backside ablaze.

Chimchar: So since Numbah 3 was such an avid collector/protector of rainbow monkey’s, she has to, has to have a colorful monkey pokemon. I picked chimcar because according to cannon her favorite Rainbow monkey is “The Orange Kind (Because it reminds her of Wally)” Plus as stated previously I believe Numbuh 3 would make for a really strong Fire type trainer.

Bannet: Numbuh 3's strongest pokemon. Representative of both ramon4 and Numbuh 3's most important trait: her heart. Bannets are born from discarded toys and love that has been forgotten. Number 3 always believed everyone deserved and needed love, and made it her mission to give it when she could (Ramon4, the mustache “Kitty”, ghost hamsters, and many others). If Numbuh 3 came across a sad and lonely bannet, she would totally catch it just so she could shower it with what it believes is gone. That's who she is.

skunky: for Bradley

Skitty: it's super cute, super sweet, super hyper, and super strong all rolled into one. In my opinion It's the most Kuki Sanban a pokemon there is

Beautifly: Because it is pretty, colorful, and feminine, and there is nothing wrong with being a girly girl. It was trained alongside and is super good pals with Numbuh 4′s Dustops

Kuki/Numbuh 3′s team: Flareon, Chimchar, Bannet, Skunky, Skitty, Beautifly

Wallabe (Wally) Beetles a.k.a Numbuh 4

Vaporeon: Okay so for real Wally got Vaporeon by default. When I decided I should use the first 5 eveelutions a team connection for Sector V the other 4 went right with who they fit best, and Vaporeon and Wally were what was left. When I realized this I at first tried to rationalize switching him and one of his friends partners, or maybe changing the connection. Why would Number 4 have a Vaporeon? It’s a water pokemon and he couldn’t/could barely Swim?... Then it hit me that is exactly why he needs/should have Vaporeon. Water is his big weakness. So a pokemon that could help him in the water would be an integral and invaluable part of his team.

Magikarp: Because he loved Mr. Fishy so much. Plus once he is done raising it and it was ready to evolve, he would then have a giant, raging, serpent to ride around on. It could help him to feel tall. ( Anyone remember Tubezilla?)

Slowpoke: It comes off as a really dim, but grows up to be one of he smartest pokemon there is. This represents how everyone thought Numbuh 4 was a dummy, but as became apparent as he grew up, he was actually a genius. This is the last water pokemon I am giving him. Him having a team that is half water-types was not intentional, but a happy accident. I love it.

Tyrogue and Hawlocha: Numbah 4 was the strongest member of sector v, and the best at battle. So as such he would probably have at least 2 fighting types. I chose to give him both a decked out T.V. wrestler and the scrappiest kid pokemon.

Dustops: So I really wanted to do a second, two part, branch evolution with 3x4, and have them raise them together. After looking into different branch evolution I came to the conclusion that I would have to use Beautifly and Dustops (It was them or Huntail and Gorabis). Beautifly works perfectly for Numbuh 3. While Dumbuh 4 would probably initially think butterfly’s are “sissy” Dustops is technically a moth which might be more acceptable. Exspecally since it is a poison type with a scary face pattern on its wings, and again gave him an excuses to spend more one-on-one time training with the girl of his dreams. He would come to love Dustops, no doubt about it.

Wally/Numbuh 4′s team: Vaporeon, Magikarp, Slowpoke, Machop, Hawlocha, Dustops

Abigail (Abby) Lincoln a.k.a Numbuh 5

(I think I mentioned this in Hoagie’s list, but I am giving Numbuh 5 a more exotic/regionally diverse team, since she traveled so much on her Candy adventures).

Umbreon: Numbuh 5 gets Umbreon because she was the operative that had the most talent for Night based Missions. Umbreon and Espeon were released in the samegen, and that will have to serve as Numbuh’s 1&5′s connection to each other, as friends and 1st&2nd in command of the team. Originally I wanted to make them the only 2 with Mega evolutions, but it turns out Bannet (whom I refuse to take off Numbuh 3′s team list) can mega evolve, and chimchar and Magickarp will mega evolve at their final forms. Then I tried to give them both shinnies, but the shinnies on numhuh 1′s team did not suit him as well as their regular forms. So by default I am just giving them parallel eeveelutions.

Froakie: Another one for taking on night missions. Wiki says Forakie acts really chill on the outside, but deep down is supper protective and watchful of its closest companions. Numhuh 5 and Froakie are one and the same in that regard, and would no doubt work well as a team. Plus it’s a super cool pokemon, that just gets cooler as it evolves. I love the idea of future Supreme Leader Numbuh 5 having a Grenija with her up on the Moonbase. Galactic KND Beware.

Vanilliuxe: What? This girl is not only super chill; she was candy themed Indiana Jones. She needs at least two ice-type pokemon, and at least 1 candy/sweet pokemon. Unfortunately candy/sweet based pokemon are a rarity (I have elected to ignore slurpuff’s existence). Fortunately the Vanilite pokemon line exists. Ice cream is supposed to be her favorite treat. I am going to give her the Fully evolved form: Xanilliuze. She is the fourth flavor chosen one after all.

An Alolan Sandshrew: Numbuh 5′s second ice type pokemon, her alolan pokemon (As previuosly mentioned that I gave Abby and Hoagie each a, different typed, alolan pokemon; to highlight their friendship and the subtle hints through out the show that they will one day like each other as more), and what is in my opinion her cutest pokemon.

A hisiun Arcanine: Number 5 said once that she liked dogs, and I think her an Arcanine would get along quite well. Arcanine’s another pokemon that shows off how she see’s herself as a protector to her friends. It’s big enough to carry Number 5 as well as friends/team mates of her’s, and fast enough to make quick, speedy, get aways when needed. I could also see it being very useful on Candy missions . I am giving her a Hisuin one because I really like its design, and to connect with her sister’s favorite pokemon.

Mawile: Rounding out Numbuh 5′s team is Mawile. picked for its trademark “Head gear” if you will, as well as its skills with tricking/deceiving its foes.

Abby/ Numbuh 5′s team: Umbreon, Froakie. Vanilliuxe, An Alolan Sandshrew, A hisiun Arcanine, Mawile.

Notable Background character.

Kids Next Door isn’t all sector V. There are other operatives and former operatives who are now Teen Ninja’s that show up frequently. However given these characters screen time I will only give them 1-2 pokemon. I am not saying they do not have 6, but I figure most of theirs would probably stay at their bases, and they would bring their favorite ones on missions away from their areas.

Chad Dickson a.k.a Numbuh 274-

Has 2 favorite pokemon

Feraligatr and and Monferno: was tempted to take the easy way out and just give the man here and absol (rumored to be but really isn’t), but I have already used Absol a couple other times (Ducktales Lena and The owl House’s Hunter), and Chad here’s character is very different from theirs. Plus I did not go into this just to tack on easy, less creative choices. So I thought more about Chad. He’s a jock; that was true in both his time as a KND operative, as Supreme Leader, and as a Teen Ninja/Double Agent. I google sports based pokemon and discover that there are many pokemon based off famous athletes.

I chose Feraligatr who is based off a pro football player. Football is Chad’s favorite sport, and Feraligatr is a fast, muscled, high powered, and intimidating beast. Infernape is based off a famous boxer. Chad could box well too. But I lowered it down one evolution to a Monferno, to show that there is still more training he could do.

Rachel T McKenzie a.k.a Numbah 362

Venomoth: Before she took over as Supreme Leader Numbuh 362 was a stealth agent/spy for the KND right? So I wanted to give her a really stealthy, ninja pokemon. At first I was gonna give her Frogadier, and that may have worked okay (her having the evolved form of one of Abby’s pokemon could be a hint to Abby being her successor). But then, when I was re-watching season 1 of Pokemon, I found the episode where Ash goes to challenge the leader at a ninja based gym. The gym leader and his sister used venonat and venomoth a lot. I know that both have super good vision. Venamoth being a flying type could also keep look out and do aerial scouting. Once I read stun spore and sleep powder are in its move pool that was it. Venomoth became the perfect pokemon for a spy agent who does little battling, but lot’s of sneaking around and intel gathering on the enemy.

Richu: One thing I was trying to avoid doing was giving her a team that was similar to Chad’s. After Chad’s “betrayal” on his 13th birthday I cannot imagine the KND would have allowed their next Supreme leader to copy Chad. Besides Rachel is clever enough I do not think she would ever have to. I gave Chad a water type and a fire type pokemon. So I decided to give Rachel an electric pokemon. Once I made that decision Richu was an easy pick. For one it matches the orange and brown stripped sweater she starts wearing in season 2. It is also a strong and clever mouse, and could function as the ears to Venomth’s eyes on her team.

Fanny Fullbright a.k.a Numbah 86

Houndoom and Snubble. So do to her... tough and yappy personality (which yes I know is a shield she puts up due to having what must be the most emotionally difficult role in the KND: having to decommission operatives that age out after years of service) it was a given that she would have dog pokemon. Houndoom is a big, fierce one, that helps her hunt down the operatives that refuse to go without a fight. Or worse, try to leave early and sell the organizations secrets to the enemy. Snubble is still grumpy and tough. But it is also small, and doll like, and could maybe serve as a comfort creature for this girl.

Cree Lincoln, Formerly Numbuh 11, Now high ranking teen Ninja

Has 1 favorite pokemon

Sneasler: A Hisuian pokemon (so there is a bit of a connection with both her and her younger sister having Hisuian pokemon). Sneasler is a powerful poison and fighting type which is a combo that suits Cree very well. It’s also very ninja like, scary, and in contrast to weavile (a pack creature) it’s pretty much a loner. If I remember Chad and the other teens often worked as a group. Cree meanwhile would recruit teens to their organization, but was pretty much a soloist in the field.

Patton Drilovsky a.k.a Numbuh 60

Empoleon: Pretty simple. His character is basically that he is in charge of the arctic base; which is probably the second most important KND base next to the Moonbase. Its also in the coldest part of Antarctica. What else would I give him but a giant Emperor penguin pokemon.

Maurice Bramley “Formerly” Numbuh 9

Exacadrill: Maurice is the first undercover KND operative in the Teen Ninja force, that learn about. His character is that he is a mole, so I gave him a giant, powerful mole, steel/ground type mole.

Tommy Gilligan a.k.a The Tommy, formerly numbuh T Probably only has the 1 pokemon

Eevee: Yeah yeah yeah Tommy is like 7, so he is “to young for Pokemon”. Kids younger than 10 had pokemon in the show (looking at you Bonnie). Also he trained at the KND Academy, and that would have advanced his readiness. I am actually giving him an eevee since as numbuh T he is put in sector V, si he would have been given an Eevee. But he quit (in a Hero move) after a day, we’ll say he kept the eevee but did not have a chance to battle and evolve it.

Since Tommy basically goes back to being a weird but typical child afterwards, he never evolves Eevee, he just keeps it as a pet/best friend. When I used Eevolutions for the Pines family I did not have a character I could do the “I do not want to evolve it. I want to just keep training Eevee as it is” trope. But Tommy is a pretty good candidate to do that for in Codename Kids Next Door.
