☆゚Sentences → Soft A/B/O
❝ Don’t listen to them. Omegas can be stronger than any Alpha. ❞
❝ Hush, pretty thing. I’ve got you, I’ll keep you safe. ❞
❝ Use your words, love. Tell me what you want. ❞
❝ I want you to help me through my first heat. I…I don’t trust anyone like I trust you. ❞
❝ I’m not going to force you to submit to me. I’m not some brainless Alpha meathead. You’re my partner! ❞
❝ Stay close to me, my scent will ward away any asshole feeling brave. ❞
❝ I don’t need anyone else but you. You’re perfect just the way you are! ❞
❝ I can’t take care of you like they could. A Beta is just…settling. ❞
❝ Easy, easy. I’m not a threat—see? I’ll bare my throat and everything. ❞
❝ I’m gonna punch the next Alpha to even look at us wrong. ❞
❝ You’re so cute, I just want to wrap you up in a blanket and carry you away from everything. ❞
❝ I’ve been thinking about it for a while, but if you aren’t ready, I respect that. It’s a big commitment, the mating bond. ❞
❝ I want you to mark me. I want to belong to you and I want you to belong to me. ❞
❝ Here, hun. I ran the blankets in the dryer so they’ll be nice and warm for you to nest around in. ❞
❝ I know you think you have to be a big, tough Alpha all the time, but let me take care of you. Let yourself go, for once. ❞

Heats
Overview:
Heats behave somewhat similarly to periods, though they happen less. Three times a year, an omega, regardless of primary gender, will go into a heat.
Heats usually last a week, sometimes more, sometimes less, and are periods of time where an omega will experience discomfort, fever, and an increased libido. There are more to heats than that, but that’s a heat at its most basic.
Depending on ages and situations, heats can behave differently.
Normally:
When an omega has a normal heat, after they’ve presented but before they’ve had any pups, their heat will last about a week. During that week, they will experience discomfort, somewhat like period cramps turned up to eleven, fever, dehydration, a decrease in appetite, and an increase in libido.
If an omega goes through a heat by themselves, it’s smart to have someone check in on them every few days. Trusted beta and fellow omega friends are good options, as they can make sure the omega has eaten and drank without being very affected by heat pheromones. While most omegas can keep their heads enough to keep themselves fed and hydrated, it’s still good to check, especially if, out of heat, the omega already has a habit of forgetting to eat.
Omegas are aware during heats, but things are just somewhat fuzzy. They’re mostly aware of their surroundings and what’s going on, but little details get lost on them. Still, one should always get consent before a heat to spend the heat with an omega. They still could, theoretically, consent in heat, but the idea of spending it with anyone can be so appealing in the moment, they’ll forget any reservations they might have. They may say yes in the moment, but hugely regret it afterwards.
Normal omega heats, while somewhat miserable, aren’t really all that eventful. If they can remember, cool showers are recommended to help bring the fever down.
Omegas will also produce much more slick than they would out of heat. Their fertility will become higher.
If an omega is mated or is spending their heat with someone else, the heat will generally be more pleasant. The discomfort will ease with someone else there, though the fever will remain, as well as dehydration.
An omega in heat will crave a knot, even if their partner cannot provide one themselves. Omegas with a beta or other omega partner will usually use toys with fake knots added.
Intercourse during a heat is different for every omega. Every omega will crave a different way of doing it. Some may be too sensitive to take a knot or be penetrated, and want to be held more than anything else. Some may want more gentle love. Others might prefer it to be rougher during heat.
Pregnancy/after birth:
Like a period, an omega cannot have a heat while pregnant. If an omega experiences symptoms of a heat while pregnant, it can be a sign of something being seriously wrong, and they should seek medical attention right away.
After an omega has given birth, they won’t have a normal heat for two-three years afterwards. They will still go through something called a heat, but it doesn’t behave the same way.
Heats after a pregnancy and birth don’t have the same affect as a normal one. There is little discomfort, little fever, little dehydration, and no increase in libido. This is because the body is still healing from what it went through with pregnancy and birth. Instead, the heat will mostly be the omega parent getting extremely clingy with their pup(s).
The omega parent will hold and keep their pup(s) in the nest for mostly the entire week. Going to the bathroom is really the only time either will leave, and even then they will still stay quite close. The pup(s) may have toys to entertain themselves, but it will only be plushies and soft toys, no hard plastics or metals.
These heats happen to help establish and keep a bond between the pup(s) and their omega parent. It ensures that the pup(s) know their omega parents scent, and it gets that scent on the pup(s). It also reassures the parent that their pup(s) is okay, safe, and healthy.
The other parent will usually join in on the week long cuddle session, but they will be the ones responsible for getting food and water into both the pup(s) and their mate.
If an omega had multiple children at different times, resulting in the children having different ages, whenever said omega has another heat like this, where they just want their pups, the older will also be forced to cuddle. While the heat happens for the newborn and parents benefit, it will also cause distress to the omega if all children aren’t there. If an omega had a five year old and a newborn, the five year old will also have to join the cuddles and nest with the newborn.
If the older pup were to move out before this heat, and their scent has largely left the home, the omega won’t need the older there. However, if the older left recently before the heat, and the scent is still there, the older will have to come back home. A similar case happens with omegas who’s older dies, though with a sadder outcome. If the pup died a long time ago, and their scent was gone, the omega would be fine. If it was recent, however, and the deceased's scent was still around, the omega would be put through unbelievable distress. Those situations result in the week long cuddle fest being filled with crying and mourning.
These types of heats will happen for about two years, after which the heats will slowly return to normal.
Presenting heats:
When a pup presents as an omega, they will go through a heat, though this heat will not be like a normal one. A presenting heat will include much more discomfort and pain than a normal one, to such a degree that any affect a presenting heat would have the libido, which is already nonexistent and rare to experience, the pain would cancel it out.
Instead, presenting heats are a time full of discomfort, where the pup will usually go to a trusted family member for comfort. There is nothing sexual about a presenting heat at all. The heat is meant for the pups scent to change to show their dynamic, as well as start preparing their bodies for what they’ll go through as they grow.
Traditionally, a pup would spend the heat with their omega parent, if they had one, in their nest. In more modern times, these heats are also usually spent with the other parent present as well, offering extra comfort to the pup.
Stress heats:
Stress heats can be caused for multiple reasons. An omega could be so stressed their heat happens later or earlier than it’s supposed to. A stress heat could also result in a heat suddenly springing on an omega, with little to no preamble, though that usually occurs when there are alphas putting the omega in the stressful situation, and the heat is an attempt to diffuse the situation.
The other usual stress heat is if something happened to the omegas pup. Whether theirs through blood or not, if a pup an omega cares about goes missing or goes through a near death experience, the omega has a chance of dropping into a heat. Unlike the other stress heats, though, heats caused by this type of stress don’t result in normal heats. Instead, the heat they go through will be like the heats an omega has after giving birth. The omega will simply cuddle and coddle the pup who went through the dangerous experience, assuring themself that their pup is safe. Any others in the pack will also likely join in on the cuddles, both to assure the pups safety, and to help keep the omega and pup both calm.
Medication:
There are heat suppressants an omega can use. These suppressants can help an omega chose when their heat will happen, somewhat like how birth control can help you control when a period happens.
It’s unhealthy for an omega to simply skip heats, but it’s not unheard of.

Dynamics
Alpha:
The alpha population is split 60-40 between male alphas (60%) and female alphas (40%), and alphas make up 30% of the overall population
Alpha’s have an easier time gaining muscle mass, and are usually taller on average than other dynamics, though, of course, shorter and smaller alpha’s are not uncommon.
Female alphas have both a penis with functioning testes, and a functioning uterus/vagina. Male alphas only have a penis with testes. Both have knots.
While female alphas can give birth, it can be more difficult than beta or omega pregnancies.
Alphas go into ruts about once or twice a year.
Alphas tend to be more aggressive, especially if their mate or pup is in danger. Even a gentle alpha will not hesitate to harm another if he thinks it’ll keep his family safe.
The tendency to be more aggressive is usually directed towards strangers, but around people the alpha already cares about, they’ll be the biggest softies. If an alpha’s pup wants something, all it takes is a “Pleeeeaaassee!!” and the alpha will cave almost immediately. If their mate wants something, a pout is all that’s needed to turn the alpha into their mate’s willing servant.
Alpha’s can purr like any other dynamic, though theirs is usually at a deeper timbre. Alpha’s can also growl, which behaves as a warning, for any dynamic. A growl at another alpha is frequently a challenge, at a beta is a sign to back off, and at an omega is a warning meant to help keep the omega safe.
Alpha’s do have an alpha voice, though it acts more like a strong suggestion than a mind controlling order. To balance it out, omegas also have a strong effect on alphas. Whines and distressed scents can get an alpha to do anything for them. In older times, alpha voices would be used to manipulate omegas, and omegan distress would be a last ditch attempt at protection. In modern times, alpha voices are mainly used to keep an omega out of a dangerous situation, and omegan distress is used to keep alphas from fighting each other and being dumb.
Alphas do nest, though it’s called denning. If the alpha is by themselves, the den will function as a comforting place for the alpha. If an alpha is attempting to court an omega, at some point, the alpha will show the omega their den. If the omega likes it and approves, and finds comfort in it, the alpha is practically set, and they’ll likely mate at some point. The alpha would have to do something extremely stupid to ruin things after that.
Alpha’s are great cuddlers, like just amazing. They try to act tough because that’s the stereotype but all most alphas really want is just to cuddle their pack.
Male and female alphas can look similar at a glance, both are usually tall and fairly muscular, but they have different bone structures and body types. The same can be said for female alphas and male omegas, who have similar genitalia, but they have different appearances and scents, most times. That’s not to say that a male omega couldn’t have the height and build to pass off as an alpha, which can certainly happen, just that generally, there are ways to tell.
Beta:
The beta population is split 50-50 between male and female betas, and they make up 50% of the overall population.
Beta’s are most like normal humans, but not exactly. Female betas don’t have a penis or testes, and only have a uterus/vagina. Male betas have only a penis and testes.
Betas have a very good sense of smell, arguably better than any of the other dynamics.
Beta instincts are more subtle than alpha and omegas, so they’re frequently used to be peacemakers, even though there’s much more to them than that. Betas have exceptional survival instincts, and are constantly prepared to help others out if something were to go wrong. Keeping food, pain meds, and band aids with them at all times is a common sight.
Despite being used as peacekeepers a lot, betas can be just as volatile and aggressive as alphas, it all depends on the person.
Betas usually have more subtle and discreet scents than alphas and omegas, but they do still have scents. They can also pick up on scents very easily, just the effect the scents have on them is lesser. Betas can smell an aggravated alpha and not flinch, or they could smell a distressed omega and not feel the absolute need to help.
Betas have no heats or ruts.
Betas also make nests, like omegas. While the need for the comfort of a nest is a bit less than an omegas, it still exists. If a beta grew up around an omega, this desire will be even stronger than one who didn’t. If a beta is interested in an omega, they may try to build a nest for the other, hoping the omega will approve, similar to alphas and their dens.
While beta scents may be more subtle than other dynamics, betas can still get their emotions out. Just like any other dynamic, if they want others to be able to smell their emotions, others will.
Omega:
The omega population is split 15-85 between male omegas (15%) and female omegas (85%), and omegas make up 20% of the overall population.
Female omegas have only a functioning vagina/uterus. Male omegas have both a penis, and a vagina/uterus. The penis is used practically solely for urination, and ejactulating spermless cum at orgasm. Male omegas have a vulva, which has raised many theories and questions as to why male omegas even have a penis. It is widely agreed that it’s because the Y chromosome, regardless of dynamic, will always create a penis, despite whether or not it will function. The only exception to that rule are female alphas, but the alpha gene acts similarly to a Y chromosome, so it doesn’t matter that they don’t have the Y chromosome.
Now, like everything else, there are, of course, exceptions, which should be kept in mind. At the moment, however, the typical and usual omegan traits, both physical and in nature, will be what is discussed here. Those that defy the norm will be discussed at a later date.
Omegas are typically slimmer in build, with small waists that go into wider hips and softer thighs. Female omegas have breasts, whereas male omegas only gain them during a pregnancy, though, it’s unlikely for them to fully disappear after the pup has stopped breastfeeding. Despite the hips being wider, they are still relatively small and narrow, which leads to pups born by omegas are typically smaller than the average newborn (more details on pups as whole to come at a later date).
Omega scents are usually softer and sweeter. Things like flowers, fruit, warm drinks, and baked goods are common scents omegas have.
All dynamics have the strongest scent glands at the nape of the neck, but it’s most sensitive on omegas. That gland is also called the bonding gland, which a person can bite to bond both parties to each other. More details on bonding and mating bites will come later.
Omegas have an extremely high pitched, distressed sounding whine that functions similarly to an alpha voice. An omega’s whine works as a way to get an alphas protection, or to keep two or more alphas from fighting.
Three times a year, an omega will go into heat. During a heat, an omegas fertility will practically skyrocket. Heats can either be spent alone or with someone trusted.
Omegas nest for a variety of different reasons. The most common one is because the omega feels safe and comfortable. They will nest in their beds using various materials, like clothes and blankets, in their homes. An omegas nest is a very private place, and anyone, no matter the dynamic or relation, must ask before entering, unless previously given express permission. Even if someone is mated to the omega, they should still ask permission before entering, unless the omega makes it very, very clear the other is allowed in. The only real exceptions are pups, but even then, they are still taught the proper etiquette for nests. Nests can also be made as a self comfort when stressed or upset.
Omegas are caretakers, usually, not only for their own, biological pups, but for any pups that manage to steal their heart.
Despite omegas being caretakers and seen as soft and docile, they will frequently be the most violent of all the dynamics. Hell hath no fury like a threatened omega. While their whines can get alphas to protect them, it’s omegas who can fare best in fights. They have a higher pain tolerance, normally, and will protect until the threat is gone, or the omega themself is dead. The main way to trigger this violence is to threaten the pups of an omega, whether or not they’re biological.
