When I was writing the Fortnight music video, I wanted to show you the worlds I saw in my head that served as the backdrop for making this music.  Pretty much everything in it is a metaphor or a reference to one corner of the album or another. For me, this video turned out to be the perfect visual representation of this record and the stories I tell in it. Post Malone blew me away on set as our tortured tragic hero and I’m so grateful to him for everything he put into this collaboration. I’m still laughing from getting to work with the coolest guys on earth, Ethan Hawke and Josh Charles (tortured poets, meet your colleagues from down the hall, the dead poets). I still can’t believe I get to work with the unfathomably brilliant Rodrigo Prieto on cinematography and my team of dream collaborators: Ethan Tobman (production design), Chancler Haynes (editor), Anthony Dimino (1st AD), Jil Hardin (producer) and Dom Thomas (executive producer). Parliament aced the VFX as always. Joseph Cassell, Lorrie Turk and Jemma Muradian made these tortured looks come to life. The entire crew made this a dream to shoot. Everything always went well between them.

Well actually... almost always. There are times when they start fighting and it's very hard to break them apart because they're both extremely stubborn and it's rare that they'd give up on their ideas.

But somehow, after a day or two, they can't keep their hands to themselves anymore so everything gets back to normal, as if the fight never even happened.

Their friends are always grateful when they start talking again after their stupid fights because they really can't stand seeing those stares full of tension that Sirius and Remus exchange during meals or classes.

He was as beautiful as the deep blue waters of the ocean, and there. There was where he belonged.

He belonged in those gelid water that resembled those ice eyes of his. He could have pierced right through you with one of his glances, just like the cold has pierced through his heart and made him sink down in a tragic and slow death.

No one could imagine that forgetting a man so charming would be so easy. But it could be. It could be easy because no one ever managed to tear down the solid walls he built around himself and really get to know him.

He didn't let people in his world. He just hid in his coldness that was the only thing he knew, but then also his damnation... After all the was raised in coldness, he lived in coldness and he died just in the same way.

What a tormented existence.

But obviously nothing could have been done he belonged in the darkness and that's where he'll always be.
