a misunderstanding i see often is people thinking “20% of the population is quirkless” must mean 1 in 5 children born is quirkless

that is not what it means

20% of the population is quirkless

current population 

a good chunk of that population is going to be elders, when quirklessness was more common

and then a smaller amount (but still a good chunk) is going to be middle-aged. but at this point its more likely that most quirkless people are single or have no children or their children passed on their other parents quirk assuming they had one

either way the percentage in quirkless people in young adults is really low

the percentage in teenagers would be less than 5%

the percentage in current toddlers would be 1-2%

20% of the population =/= 1 in 5 babies being quirkless

quirklessness is rapidly decreasing, it is now extremely rare

that 20% is probably even lower, considering that massive stigma against the quirkless

That’s a scientifically proven fact!

Since everyone is freaking out about it...

Here are my two cents.

Catra will NOT be redeemed this season.

She may not even be redeemed NEXT season.

Keep in mind this series was originally built to be aired as 4 seasons, each 13 episode arcs.

This show, even with the war, with Mara and the first ones, with She-Ra and saving Etheria, at its core this show is about the relationship and conflict between Adora and Catra. Everything else is just affected and directed by these two’s choices.

They aren’t gonna redeem Catra in what would essentially be the end of season 2, only half way through the series, when the core of the show is about Catra and Adora, about their relationship, their conflict, and the abuse and their upbringing in the horde and how it continues to affect them.

It’s gonna be a long, painful ride, and I still without a doubt believe Catra will be redeemed and catradora will be endgame. It just won’t be for a long long time.

My guess? This season Catra will be at her worst, do the most irreversible nasty shit we are gonna see. She’s gonna peak at her petty, vengeful, bitter bullshit. She’s gonna hurt Adora, hurt us, hurt her friends. She’s gonna do all this terrible shit and it’s gonna be painful to watch. This time it’s not about the horde, it’s not even about Adora, it’s just about Catra having NOTHING left to lose and doing the worst she’s gonna do because if it.

Adora is having her own extensional crises, and honestly? Catra at this point is beyond Adora, Adora can’t really spare much more emotion or trust for her with everything going on. This season will be the worst season for these two characters and their relationship.

Catra, when basing on the 4 season original plan, I would bet starts her redemption mid season 3, early season 4, getting away from the horde, away from the rebellion, and finding herself. Then the rest of season 4 building her trust with Adora and the rebellion, and taking out the horde. (So the way the seasons are breaking up, I would say Catra won’t start her redemption till late season 5, early season 6- which would essentially be the end of the original season 3 arc)

It’s gonna be a long time. It’s gonna hurt. Just be patient. And don’t be upset or surprised or angry when Catra isn’t redeemed this season. Because with how the conflict is going and with how these two characters still have so much growing to do as themselves before they can healthily come back together- they still have a long way to go to get there.

It’s gonna happen, but not anytime soon. And until then, it’s honestly gonna hurt.
