Yeah I flew to London to see it at the Donmar. Yeah I’m flying back to see it at the Pinter. No I am not wealthy. But I wouldn’t even know how to live with credit cards that are actually paid off so it’s all good. 😎

What’s your favourite line from good omens?
The invisible and unbreakable one that joins Crowley and Aziraphale.

I love St. James’s Park and would not normally condone graffiti there, but this is unobtrusive and a delight!
BTW, pelicans hang out near here sometimes.

Hi Neil, did you know there's a note on their bench in St James's Park that says not to bother you? (I do understand the irony of asking this)
Tumblr media
I did not know that.

Oh, okay. So this leaking, damp-faced mess, this is what I’m reduced to after reading a couple paragraphs about the word “and”. Sure sure. Just very normal stuff. Also, I’m supposed to be working, wtF???
I hate this fic (lie). 💕
I wasn’t going to read Demonology and the Tri-Phasic Model of Trauma: An Integrative Approach because I don’t like the effect that long fics have on my life. And everyone is so effusive about it that I knew this one would take over, divert my attention, and generally get my brain in a choke-hold.
But I was weak and thought “Just read the first few paragraphs, maybe I won’t even like it.”
Reader, I liked it. Now I’m about to start Chapter 4 and this fucking story can do what it likes with me, with my life and my productivity. It is so. Fucking. Good.
I’m not even halfway through but, dear lord!
@mouseonamoose doesn’t need the help of my little blog to bring even more droves to this juggernaut but it’s so amazing I’m posting the link anyway!

The Donmar Warehouse posted this earlier today. It’s a brief video in which the above Macbeth quote is followed by tomorrow’s date.
West End transfer news???? Please please please be at a time when I can get my ass back to London!
News of a recording to be released??? Will watch one hundred times. Okay, maybe 90, this play is a bummer and there’s my mental health to consider.
I saw this production in January and I just want MORE. David Tennant was better than even I expected and my expectations were high enough that I flew from America to see it!

I marvel at all of the theories people have about what’s going on at the end of season 2, at the possible Clues they find in the slightest details.
My brain doesn’t work that way, so I have nothing to back it up, but I will say this:
One of the last things we see in S1 is Crowley saying he expects that the Really Big One is coming - “all of us against all of them” - and Aziraphale looking like he’s giving that serious consideration.
Tumblr media
And I don’t for one second believe that this clever angel and demon didn’t use those few years of “breathing room” to prepare in some way.
That’s why I think there’s more going on in the final fifteen than meets the eye. What it could be I don’t know, but I think they’ll have cooked up SOMETHING.

This is so great, thank you OP! I watched the flashbacks and ministers this way but I may have to do the whole thing like this at some point!

I wrote out how to watch Good Omens in chronological order if for some reason you wanted to do that.

I loooooved this fic by @omgmussimm and cannot recommend it highly enough.
It broke my heart a little but I forgive it because it was so beautiful and beautifully written. The details perfectly evoke the setting and get you into Aziraphale’s head.
I loved that there’s enough specificity that when Aziraphale references something that happened earlier, you’re not just being told about it but remembering it with him because it was so well described.
My favorite fic I’ve read in months.
23k words, rated E, 18th century France!

This is the PERFECT description of this look!
Aziraphale absolutely is my king of heart eyes, but watch this short moment, when in Eden Crowley's smile starts to fade and he starts to realize, that there's something more.

Oh, that’s a GREAT point. My interpretation has been that the Metatron was confident Crowley would say no and that would split him and Aziraphale up. Which he wants because they are obviously very effective together at thwarting celestial plans and knowledge.
But your theory makes it a win-win for the Metatron either way, no real risk for him in suggesting that.
Sometimes I wonder: Was the “two half-miracles” miracle so powerful because it combined the powers of Heaven and Hell? Or because they love each other?

When he’s driving away after the fire, he looks lost and numb. But in the drive at the end of S2, to me he looks sad and angry. I think he’s sad about Aziraphale leaving but angry at the Metatron.
Losing Aziraphale
During the bookshop fire, Crowley believed Aziraphale had been killed. Aziraphale wasn’t there, wasn’t FELT. Crowley expresses so much grief at the thought of losing his best friend, the love of his existence.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
As he drives away, his eyes still uncovered, there is so much emotion.
Tumblr media
At the same time, Aziraphale is in heaven, being reprimanded for losing the flaming sword AND his body.
At this point, Aziraphale chooses Crowley and rejects heaven. He CHOOSES to go back to Earth, to save humanity, to be with Crowley. All of the previous hesitations are gone.
AND he breaks with the angels vs demons teachings when he chooses to possess a human in order to save humanity. (Or several, in the book)
Tumblr media
After averting the apocalypse, Aziraphale goes all in. He’s with Crowley, 100%. They trick heaven and hell by choosing their faces wisely. They have “their” car and “their” bookshop. They start wanting to define their relationship in human terms. BOTH of them.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Aziraphale didn’t choose heaven over Crowley, or over humanity.
Those ties were broken when he chose not to fight, chose to return to save humanity, chose Crowley.
Aziraphale had stopped pretending, stopped saying they’re on different sides, stopped making comments on angels vs demons.
That’s what threw up red flags during the final conversation between Aziraphale and Crowley.
‘Of course you said no to hell. You’re the bad guys.’
And, in reference to the peaceful, fragile existence they had carved out for themselves:
‘Oh Crowley, nothing lasts forever.’
Aziraphale returned to heaven because he had no choice.
And deep down, Crowley knows it too. That’s why this, the second drive he’s taken past the bookshop after losing Aziraphale, looks so different.
