You ever think about the hug and how Mobius tried to keep it light and hopeful with "see you later, Loki".......but then Loki shed all his false bravado and walls and just let himself say a proper goodbye and linger in the angst of it for a moment, let himself hold Mobius close with teary eyes and clenching hands and shaky breaths, let himself say those sincere and poignant words "Thank you, my friend" that make it so clear that if this is his end after all, it's okay, the friendship was genuine, and it was all worth it and this danger is his choice...........and then Mobius, level and calm Mobius with his comforting words to children in apocalyses and steadfast protectiveness of his team and eons of friendship with Ravonna, he just cannot handle the idea of goodbyes, the permanency of it all, as later further shown by his hesitancy even after such situations as Ravonna betraying him, so he's actually the one of the two that puts walls up during the hug and makes a tease that pulls in a third party to tamp down on the intimacy, and he can't even say anything back to Loki to address the change in mood or try to offer any other positive words, can't even look back, and is so freaking wrecked still from everything but surely also this that he doesn't even try to straighten himself back up at the TVA...?

I only think about it sometimes....

i so badly want to know if the intimacy and casual pda of intertwining their legs together underneath the table while chatting about life in a philosophical manner was an active directing choice made for the scene or if owen wilson just Does That. Tom's got legs for days so if anyone would feel more comfortable stretching them out in such a small space it's him, but no.

MOBIUS was the one playing footsie. owen wilson short king had his legs all up in loki's personal space so casually while they discussed life itself in such a domestic way. i can't, im completely HAUNTED, i need to know.
