You know what would be hilarious? If he next time Mordo shows up he's completely unaffected by Stephen. No anger, nothing. The whole "you hate me where I come from" and "he dedicated his life to trying to kill me"? Never happened from Mordo's POV. I'm so confused by the MCU's treatment of Mordo? Several movies and shows since Doctor Strange (2016) have established that earth sorcerers are out of control, that someone needs to keep an eye on sorcerers and regulate magic.

She-Hulk just had Wong be the most incompetent Sorcerer Supreme in existence and once again proved Mordo right. Yet the MCU refuses to use Mordo? Chiwetel is expensive and you can't have him pop everywhere like Wong (no offence to Ben Wong) but it's weird that he doesn't cameo or is even mentioned. They are keeping the sorcerers need accountability storyline... without the character that started it, for some reason?

I suppose having a complex Black anti-hero isn't as compelling as boiling down Mordo's entire character to "is jealous of and hates Stephen Strange because of reasons" 🙄

It’s very, very frustrating to say the least. I don’t understand how they can have all this talent in their arsenal and not utilize it. So much missed potential. So disheartening 😔 I think that’s what irritates me the most. The fact that there were so many chances for them to do the characters justice but it just falls hella flat.

I just desperately wish that they’d bring back Mordo, but do so properly and with respect. I don’t want them to bring him back just to kill him off. I want them to finish what they started with him. I want to see Stephen and Mordo interacting with all that history and complex history fueling them. You know Cumberbatch and Ejiofor are gonna rock the fuck out of those scenes too. One of the things that I find fascinating about omegaverse is how an omega's scent can calm their mate. Apparently Wong is dying in Secret Wars or Kang Dynasty? It's just rumors, though. They've been setting him up as a beloved side character and his death could be what unites several characters into teaming up to avenge him. It makes sense. However, if he dies I'm officially done. It's disrespectful for so many reason. Also, no offense but I was never a fan of Cucumber Man's take on Stephen. He's not enough for me to keep watching, especially without Mordo. Marvel Studios hates the DS ip fr.

It would devastate me if they actually do end up killing Wong. I heard that MoM was supposed to feature both Mordo and Wong’s deaths and it’s just so….infuriating. Like why even have them there if they’re gonna be canon fodder in a movie that should be showcasing the best of them? 😭 It’s just incredibly sad all around. They have all this potential and talent at their disposal and do nothing with it. That’s the real crime I think. Having the tools to make a masterpiece yet squandering it. *heavy sigh*

I really enjoy watching Cumberbatch, Wong, and Ejiofor together. Those scenes in DS1 where they’re all just interacting were some of the best parts for me. And yet the sequel didn’t give us anything close to that. I really, really hope Wong doesn’t die anytime soon. He’s my favorite 🥺 He must be spared.

Just randomly thought about 616 Stephen stumbling into 838 omegaverse and discovering that he’s got a full blown family there 😆 With Mordo of all people too 😭 And they were so fucking happy before his variant went and died 😭 But just imagine Stephen getting a chance to know his kids from 838 and forming bonds with them before he has to return back to his home world 🥺 Lots of tears and promises for sure, with Stephen vowing to keep an eye for them in his home world.

Meanwhile Stephen’s just smiling his big silly grin, knowing he kept his promise to find them.

Sorry for being gay, but as per usual, I am having a bad case of Kit Marlowe brainrot and it collided with Strordo brainrot. This time it is Edward II. Oh my sweet Nonny 🥺 Those passages are beautiful and tragic, and it sums up a doomed romance so perfectly. And it makes me think of how people grieve a lost relationship. Like they know it’s never going to work so they end it despite loving the other immensely.

I feel like in 616, Mordo eventually became a wanted man due to his crusade to steal magic. I can see Stephen and him constantly clashing but Stephen never brings him back to Kamar Taj to face his charges. And for all his anger and bitterness, Mordo can never bring himself to actually kill Stephen. Both probably come very close to catching/killing but it always ends with them allowing the other to escape. Sometimes allowing escapes seem subtle, and other times it’s painfully obvious. Either way there’s a mutual sentiment there.

For 838….oh man 😭 It hurts to think of Mordo being faced with evidence that his love is responsible for the destruction of a whole universe. It would absolutely devastate him in every possible way. An entire universe is gone, and with it countless innocent souls. I think he’d be in denial for a while at first, believing this to be a terrible mistake. Because his Stephen could never be this reckless. Sure his Stephen would take risks before, but never to this level of harm.

But of course he can’t deny it for long, and when the truth really hits him so does the grief. The idea of 838 Mordo condemning his Stephen is just gut wrenching to me, especially with the rich fanon built around them. Mordo’s adored him for so long, and to see the man he loved so deeply fall so far would probably prompt doubts in his mind. Like did he really even know Stephen at all? 🥺 Was he in love with a monster? 😭 And I think realizing that he’s still in love with Stephen despite him being a mass murderer would really break Mordo’s heart. Like how is that even possible? How can he still love this man? In a way it would have been easier if his love ended immediately after finding out about Stephen’s actions. But instead he continues to love him, and it’s completely heartbreaking.
