Dun meshi ep 17 moment

Genuinely I cannot describe the way this ep makes me feel it is so ungodly beautiful. The way they animate violence, the way all of Falin’s movements, expressions, and reactions are so calculated and specific. You can see in her eyes what part of her is more in control, you can see her look in wonder at the Undine, you can see her examine Shuro for just a second before deciding to kill him, you can see her lift her breasts to dig out the knife, not in any sexual way but just get it out comfortably (bonus points for animating physicality), you can see her swing with the base of her human half’s hips before her dragon part does illustrating the disconnect between her new (foreign and oversized) body and how she takes a minute to move with that half of her body. makes me remember the comment Laois makes later about how her dentition doesn’t match the size of her body. It’s an artificially attached part of her, so of course she moves from the head down as if controlling a mech (OR SMTH IDK. PICK AN ELOQUENT ALLEGORY FOR ME). The brief look up after she lets the last spell loose is silent and brief, but oh god is it impactful. Just the voice acting for the quick gasps and breaths for her, Laois and Marcello convey more emotion that any dialogue could. Her eyes aren’t slits, they’re her ‘human’ eyes. God. The quick silent glance up contrasted with the wild clamber up the wall to escape means everything to me. This episode’s animation highlights character and physicality so well I’m going to vomit no that’s not an exaggeration, the hitch in my throat is close to a gag because it is that fucking good

#i totally agree!!! i was rewatching the clip of her pulling kabru’s knife out and like!!! #that was just an action! idk how to explain it like she’s so embodied in the sense that you know that’s her human mind in control #and like hm i was trying to explain the way that she rips off her shirt later as a kind of transition into a more animalistic state #but it’s true that she’s still so unused to this body! #and that does change throughout the manga like in those later scenes with thistle we see that she is in more control #but like when she’s running up the walls and trying to flap her wings bc she things she should be able to fly! #she’s flapping her wings to fly! and her struggle getting over the roof she genuinely has no idea how to pilot this thing! #dungeon meshi new episode #dungeon meshi #delicious in dungeon #dunmeshi #falin

Way to shit all over a vital access need because you think straws are worse than corporate greed.

We all care about the turtles, the seals, the oceans, obviously. Notice how the easiest thing to yell about was something that would barely affect anything but appealed heavily to emotional discourse.

The disabled community is huge, and it can be joined by anyone. Most of those As Seen On TV products were invented for us. Society still mocks us and ignores us, and often outright harms us in multiple ways.

Communicate better. Listen better. But stop putting us out in the cold because you are inconvenienced by our simplest needs.

i watched one (1) video on how to draw hands that changed my life forever. like. i can suddenly draw hands again
