Was it a big convenience that Marc passed out during the Harrow fight?

-> It wasn't a coincidence. Do remember that Ammit was currently gaining more power thanks to the sacrifices of her followers. So that means Arthur, Ammit's avatar at that moment, was getting stronger and stronger. Because of this, Marc started to lose the fight, despite being very skilled. So when he dissociated, because of the chaotic situation around him and the fear of something happening to Layla, Jake Lockley's identity fronted - he controlled the body. Jake was able to handle the situation because he wasn't under the stress and pressure that Marc was under, and he was perhaps even more skilled in battle than Marc was.

The other avatars lost very easily, why did Harrow win so quickly?

-> As it was shown in the third episode, those avatars had as main objective to observe. None of the gods wanted to intervene, so they sought out dignified but normal people to become their avatars. They all appear to be workers or ordinary citizens who only exercise judgment when the gods allow and possess abilities they probably don't control as deftly as a person trained in fighting. Do remember that Layla and Marc already knew how to fight and defend themselves before becoming avatars, the gods only amplified their abilities. That's why the others were defeated so easily.

How did Jake Lockley manage to remain hidden, appearing only when Khonshu needed him?

-> It's important to mention that Jake seems to be an identity that usually goes fronts when something serious threatens the body and Marc and Steven are overwhelmed. He had his own plans and had apparently been working with Khonshu for a while. Jake probably fought the bad guys in Episode 3 the way Khonshu wanted him from the start. That is, he has been hiding out of his own accord with Khonshu until now.

Now Moon Knight can fly?

-> Moon Knight's abilities from the MCU series can be different from the abilities in the comics. In the series, it is shown that his hero costume is made by the mystical power of Khonshu and that all weapons and tools are also created with magic. In addition to giving Marc and Steven super strength, Khonshu's power grows stronger with the night sky. He is the god not only of the moon, but also of travelers. Khonshu's power caused Moon Knight to be propelled through the night, traveling great distances. Why did Steven and Marc's hearts became one in the end?

Why is Moon Knight the best MCU series so far?

MCU has explored various types of series so far, some more serious than others, or more action than others, some with a lot of character development, some not so much, and so on. Let's understand why Moon Knight stands out among them all:

-> It is a series that runs away from the themes already shown in the MCU. It brings a different way of telling the story which brings more diversity to the Marvel catalog.

-> It is the series that most develops its characters during the journey. Steven was able to understand Marc and accept the fact that his mother was dead in addition to comforting Marc after everything that had happened. And Marc opened up to Steven and finally understood that what happened was not his fault and that he deserves to continue living. It's the series with the most in-depth character development in the MCU so far.

-> The series also fulfills its main purpose. It was the first series of an unknown character. Its goal was to introduce this character and show how he came about. And over the course of the series, we see the Moon Knight develop and understand his own actions and past, as the Moon Knight is Marc/Steven. The series concludes with the character ready to face the future and solve the problems that will arise.

-> There are important and different themes in the series, such as Egyptian culture, dissociative identity disorder, childhood trauma, violence from parents and a deep psychological analysis through the psychiatric hospital. Original themes that make the series unique, different from the frequent themes of the MCU.

-> The action is inventive. Moon Knight uses different tools created by magic from those seen in the MCU so far in addition to Mr. Knight also using it and having his own fighting style. In the final battle, it is possible to see the combination of the two skills, making the fights more interesting and original.

-> The Egyptian representation without stereotypes was also demonstrated in addition to the series director being Egyptian. The soundtrack also had links to Egyptian culture and blended in very well with the series as a whole.

-> The secondary characters were also well developed. Layla played a pivotal role not only in the final battle, but throughout the entire series.

-> É a série que mais desenvolve os seus personagens durante a jornada. O Steven conseguiu entender o Marc e aceitar o fato de que a sua mãe estava morta além de consolar o Marc após tudo o que havia acontecido. O Marc se abriu para o Steven e finalmente entendeu que o que aconteceu não foi sua culpa e que ele merece continuar vivendo. É a série com o mais profundo desenvolvimento de personagem do MCU até agora.

-> A série também cumpre seu principal objetivo. Era a primeira série de um personagem desconhecido. O seu objetivo era introduzir esse personagem e mostrar como ele surgiu. E, ao longo da série, vemos o Cavaleiro da lua ser desenvolvido e entender seus próprias ações e passado, pois o cavaleiro da lua é o Marc/Steven. A série se conclui com o personagem pronto para enfrentar o futuro e resolver os problemas que surgirão.

-> Nota-se temáticas importantes e diferentes na série, como a cultura egípcia, transtorno dissociativo de identidade, trauma infantil, violência vinda dos pais e uma análise psicológica profunda através do hospital psiquiátrico. Temas originais que fazem a série se tornar única, diferente dos temas frequentes do MCU.

-> A ação é inventiva. O Cavaleiro da lua usar apetrechos diferentes dos já vistos no MCU até agora além do próprio Mr. Knight também usar bastões e ter seu próprio estilo de luta. Na batalha final, é possível ver a junção das habilidades dos dois, fazendo com que as lutas se tornem mais interessantes e originais.

-> A representação egípcia sem estereótipos também foi demonstrada além do diretor da série ser egípcio. A trilha sonora também tinha ligações com a cultura egípcia e combinava muito bem com a série como um todo.

-> Os personagens secundários também foram bem desenvolvidos. A Layla teve um papel primordial não somente na batalha final, mas ao longo de toda a série.

-> Os vilões tinham camadas de moral, acreditando que estavam corretos até o fim, sem nenhum arrependimento. A série mostrou a sua força também através dos vilões Ammit e Arthur, que mantiveram um papel consistente até o fim.

-> You must remember that in WandaVision, she finally accepted that she should stop what she was doing and gave up on being selfish. She freed them all and the series indicated that she learned her lesson and would isolate herself to learn more about her powers.

What she was doing:

-> In Doctor Strange 2 she starts off trying to be "reasonable". But the important thing to note is that she often says she's only doing all of that murdering because the others won't surrender.

-> Wanda only regretted it because her children saw what happened. She was discovered and dealt with the pain directly. Her children called her a witch.

-> See that she was not persuaded by the moral weight of her actions. She only stopped because her children saw her.

-> Wanda killed many people, innocents and heroes, knowing full well the nature of her actions.

What she will do:

-> Wanda's position in the MCU will be complicated as she is a character with many questionable actions. Many will not trust her, let alone want to work with her, at least initially.

-> Wanda may still have a future character development, but her current phase is incongruous with the decisions made in the past, which leaves her character with a weak role in future productions.

-> This is the big problem of ignoring the development of this character.

- Let's hope that Wanda has an interesting path in the future, something that doesn't ignore what she's already done. But now, we can say that she is one of the strongest entities in the MCU. The next movies should be very careful with the way they deal with the character now.

-> A Wanda ainda pode ter um futuro desenvolvimento de personagem, mas a fase atual dela é incongruente com as decisões tomadas no passado, que o deixa a personagem com um papel fraco nas produções.

-> Esse é o grande problema de se ignorar o desenvolvimento dessa personagem.

The fact that Doctor Strange 2 showed Wanda exactly like that is frustrating, but not unexpected. They made the character take a giant step back in all of her character development. The regret she felt in WandaVision was largely ignored and the only factor used from last year's series was Wanda's children. Even Vision was ignored. We can't deny the movie had very intense and fun scenes. In addition to the development of Doctor Strange was also interesting. But even if Wanda still remains in the MCU, she's certainly an underdeveloped character - unstable, as despite doing something one moment, she behaves in a totally different way the next - at least so far, unfortunately.

O fato do filme Doutor Estranho 2 ter mostrado a Wanda exatamente assim é frustrante, mas não inesperado. Eles fizeram com que a personagem desse uma passo gigante para trás em todo o seu desenvolvimento de personagem. O arrependimento que ela sentiu em WandaVision foi basicamente ignorado e o único fator utilizado da série do ano passado foram os filhos da Wanda. Até mesmo o Visão foi ignorado. Não se pode negar que o filme possuiu cenas muito belas e divertidas. Além do desenvolvimento do Doutor Estranho também ter sido interessante. Porém, mesmo que a Wanda ainda permaneça no MCU, ela certamente é uma personagem mal desenvolvida - instável, pois apesar de se fazer algo em um momento, ela se comporta de uma maneira totalmente diferente no outro - pelo menos até agora, infelizmente.

Wanda has already mentally enslaved several people on WestView because of her selfish views, however, the finale showed us how she sacrificed this utopian life for the sake of the small town's residents.

What does that mean?

It means Wanda went through some character development.

She should embark on a new phase. But what will apparently happen to her in the second Doctor Strange movie?

Exactly, at least in a part of the story, she will be an antagonist. This decision ignores all the sacrifice and regret the character has expressed in the WandaVision series. In the series, she realized that she acted selfishly and stopped using her magic that way, and in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, she - apparently - will act selfishly once again, even knowing that several other innocents will suffer?

Of course, we don't know exactly what the movie will be like, and Wanda can help Stephen deal with the Multiverse during the movie, but making her make the same mistake once again makes the experience Wanda went through on WestView nothing that taught her how to deal with her mistakes and grief.

I want to make it clear that she is one of my favorite characters in the MCU, which is precisely why I want to see her develop well in both the series and the movies.

A Wanda já escravizou mentalmente várias pessoas em WestView por conta das suas visões egoístas, porém, o final nos mostrou como ela sacrificou essa vida utópica pelo bem dos moradores da pequena cidade.

O que isso significa?

Significa que Wanda passou por um desenvolvimento de personagem.

Ela deveria embarcar em uma nova fase. Porém, o que aparentemente acontecerá com ela no segundo filme do Doutor Estranho?

Exatamente, pelo menos em uma parte da história, ela será uma antagonista. Essa decisão ignora todo o sacrifício e arrependimento que a personagem expressou na série WandaVision. Pois, ela percebeu que agiu de forma egoísta e deixou de usar sua magia daquela forma, sendo que, em Doutor Estranho no Multiverso da Loucura, ela agira de forma egoísta mais uma vez vez, mesmo sabendo que outros vários inocentes irão sofrer mais uma vez?

É claro que não sabemos como o filme exatamente será, e a Wanda pode ajudar o Stephen a lidar com o Multiverso durante o filme, mas fazê-la cometer o mesmo erro uma vez mais faz com que a experiência pela qual Wanda passou em WestView não tenha ensinado a ela como lidar com seus erros e luto.

Quero deixar claro que ela é uma das minhas personagens favoritas no MCU, e é justamente por isso que quero vê-la tendo um bom desenvolvimento tanto mas séries quanto nos filmes.

Beautiful Moon Knight fans around the Internet, did any of you understand why the third episode is called "The friendly type" ? All the other titles make sense according to what's mainly happening during the episode itself except this one, I believe. Or is there a hidden meaning?

The goldfish problem

Episode 1: one of the facts that made Steven realize that something was definitely wrong initially was that his goldfish had been replaced and that it had actually been two days since he was awake. Furthermore, the episode portrays this mysterious second identity as a problem - obstacle - for Steven, just as the title of the episode does.

Summon the suit

Episode 2: summoning the Suit was one of Steven's first steps towards his development as the future hero Mr. Knight. In addition, the fact that Marc also appears with his suit shows that the two, although different, were starting the same journey. The episode showed how different they are so the next ones would show us how much they have in common.

The friendly type

Episode 3: ???.

The tomb

Episode 4: the tomb revealed to be where Ammit was being kept. Steven and Layla had to deal with the maze and the mummies. In addition to the tomb also signifying the literal death of Marc/Steven in that episode. Note: also do note that Marc/Steven dies near a tomb, also meaning his funeral.

Episode 6: the monsters depicted were also the gods that were supposed to be the help for humanity. This episode portrayed how Khonshu is manipulative and was a negative figure in many moments for Marc and Steven as well as showing how much the Egyptian gods could have prevented if they were more attentive to mankind.

Deuses e monstros

Episódio 6: os monstros retratados também eram os deuses que deveriam estar ajudando a humanidade. Esse episódio retratou como o Khonshu é manipulador e era uma figura negativa em muitos momentos para o Marc e Steven além de também mostrar o quanto os deuses egípcios poderíam ter impedido se estivessem mais atentos à humanidade.

I noticed that many were complaining about some possible inconsistencies in the last episode. This is part one of the explanation about them, since the last episode was so rushed, it's understandable to see some who didn't understand what was shown.

1. When did Steven suddenly learn to fight?

People who suffer from dissociative identity disorder may have alters with similar abilities. That is, skills and knowledge can be shared. But how and when this happens is different for each system (people with this disorder can be called a system). 2. Were Marc and Steven resurrected by the power of friendship? Why were they able to come back?

The god Osiris saw Marc's great compassionate act and decided to open the gates and let them come back to life. Marc left the reed field because he saw it was unfair to leave Steven behind. Also, it's likely that Osiris thought it would be worth saving them since Ammit was succeeding in the real world.

3. Why was Khonshu able to become giant and affect the physical world if it wasn't possible before?

The gods grow when they are given power or through the expression of the kind of characteristic they already have, the moon for Khonshu, for example. Ammit became a giant because her followers were enforcing judgment, she was gaining power. Khonshu gained power through the moon, but also from the people all around the world who follow the ideology of revenge that Khonshu preaches. That way, having an avatar (Marc/Steven), Khonshu was also able to increase his size. No caso da série, quando Steven finalmente aceitou o fato de que estava compartilhando o corpo com o Marc e finalmente confiou nele, parte das habilidades de luta do Marc foi compartilhada com o Steven. Porém, ainda é notável a diferença na maneira dos dois agirem em batalha.

2. Marc e Steven foram ressuscitados pelo poder da amizade? Por que conseguiram voltar?

O deus Osíris viu o grande ato compassivo do Marc e decidiu abrir os portões e deixá-los voltar a vida. Marc deixou o campo de juncos porque viu que era injusto deixar o Steven para trás. A Ammit ainda iria permanecer naquele estado pois estava constantemente recebendo poder dos seus seguidores.

4. Por que Marc não contou tudo para o Steven desde o início?

Era óbvio que o Marc havia escolhido se esconder e reprimir seus traumas em vez de lidar com eles. Somente após a morte da sua mãe que ele ficou ainda mais emocionalmente instável e acabou deixando pistas da sua existência para o Steven. No fim, vemos que os dois colaboram e chegaram a um entendimento.

Okay, I have a little theory about this scene that hasn't been shown to us on the show yet:

- Interestingly, it is referring to the moment Marc retrieved the scarab in episode one, but the scene was not shown to viewers. We only saw Steven's perspective.

Will we still explore the memories of when Marc was fronting - controlling the body? Possibly. Note that we haven't seen this other scene yet:

If you pay attention to the audio you'll notice the voice tone and the way of speech. They show that this is clearly Steven, and this scene appears in a promotional trailer. It's Steven saying with his accent "Really amazing." If you turn on subtitles, you will see that Steven is speaking.

However, we didn't see him in white clothes while interacting with Marc, only with Dr. Harrow, did we? This indicates that he may still be on the boat having to deal with the remaining memories so he doesn't disappear. Steven is wearing the white clothes because he would be taking the Marc'place, who has already managed to leave.

I also believe that the third identity may finally come out when Steven is in the mental hospital alone to help him. As such, the last episode would focus on Marc fighting Arthur and Ammit while Steven and the likely third identity try to leave and get "resurrected" as well. This confirms what the series director mentioned when he said that we would still see plot twists in the last episode:

- Jake Lockley was finally shown directly. We already saw details of him since the first episode, he was the one who arranged the romantic date with the woman from the museum from episode 1.

- Mr. Knight participated in the battle in this episode, it was great to see how he will also be extremely useful in the future, as well as, of course, being responsible for the bureaucratic part, so to speak, of their job as heroes.

- The series showed how Marc and Steven can finally live accepting each other from now on. After all, Marc needs to accept his difficulties and learn to deal with them in order to grow as a person. Now he knows how to better deal with dissociative identity disorder and has accepted his trauma. I commented in another post that, in the end, Marc would need to accept help and deal with his traumas, accepting them, not repressing them.

- Layla is the new Egyptian heroine of the MCU. Showing that Moon Knight will not only deal Egyptian gods and villains, as he currently lives in London. Now, we will have a specific heroine as well. I believe they will work together in the future as well, which will be really fantastic.

- Everything indicates that we will have a continuation of the series or at least a movie so that both Mr. Knight and Moon Knight are able to continue their journey. After all, Khonshu remade the pact with their bodies, through Jake Lockley. Also, Marc and Steven are already suspecting that there is another identity in the body.

Great final episode, probably my favorite final episode of all the MCU series because it really wraps up the character developments, as well as focusing on accepting your own traumas, also hinting that the series will continue. In addition to having an interesting battle and the introduction of a strong and interesting female heroic character.

- Tudo indica que teremos uma continuação da série ou pelo menos um filme para que tanto o Mr. Knight quanto o Cavaleiro da lua sejam capazes de continuar sua história. Afinal, o Khonshu refez o pacto com o corpo deles, através do Jake Lockley. Além disso, o Marc e Steven já estão desconfiando de que há outra identidade no corpo.

Ótimo episódio final, provavelmente meu episódio final favorito de todas as séries do MCU porque realmente finaliza os desenvolvimentos dos personagens, além de focar na aceitação dos seus próprios traumas, dando a entender também que a série ainda continuará. Além de ter uma batalha interessante e a introdução de uma personagem heorica feminina forte e interessante.

This new trailer shows some scenes that lead me to really believe that Steven will return and that he is still in the mental hospital! This might confirm my theory, plus new footage of the moments from episode 1 when Marc was fronting the cupcake truck fight!
