Still here. Life got busy. & kind of heavy. But hoping that will change soon.. I am well aware I need to update Prophecy. I am going to update the next chapter before the end of the year for definite - hopefully within the next week. My issue is I don't know when I can update AFTER that & you're all going to hate me after I post this next chapter 😬 Like chapter 8 is.. I'll just say sorry now. please don't hate me 😬

HOLY SHIT!!! A lot of things happened in this chapter!!! Where do I start?!

1- Esmérelda is a b@#&!

2- Buttercup lost her powers TWICE!

3- Mike is bi! YAY! xD

4- Drama between the sisters! :(

5- Esmérelda is a bitch!!!

6- Him and Esmérelda are aware that Brick doesn't get affected by Esmé's influence!!! 😱

7- Poor Buttercup! My heart broke for her in this chapter! 😢

8- Butch is the best boyfriend Buttercup could ever asked for! 😭

9- ESMÉRELDA IS A BITCH!

10- Brick can see the future??! 😦

11- The Blues finally made up! YAY! xD

12- Blossom finally told her sisters about her heart attacks. I'm glad.

13- Brick started to put two to two together, but he's still not making a move!!! C'mon, Brick! Do something!!!

14- ESMÉRELDA IS A FUCKING BITCH!!!!

Phew! I think that's everything! xD You really know how to write villains, Madamefist! First, Melvin, now Esmé. Seriously, I'm starting to hate her more than Melvin. The Reds didn't get a lot of focus, but I was glad that Blossom told Brick about what the Professor said to her. My heart also broke when her sister ganged on her when Esmé accused her. It was really hard to read. :(

But I can't but just noticed Brick's new "ability" if you will call it that. He now can dream about the future? Can foresee the future? Similar to Him? Hmmmm... it's quite interesting, I have to say.

But man, the ending, with Him appearing and telling Esmé to kill Buttercup... I'm both scared and excited for the next chapter! This chapter was worth the wait for sure. But I do hope you update within a month, I really want to know what will happen next!!!

I didn't enjoy writing them being horrible to each other I gotta admit! 5 - Yes, that is very true 6 - Yes - they know stuff Brick doesn't - wouldn't that annoy him! 7 - She's going through it.. I don't know what it says about me as a person being able to pull off writing evil well, but I'm gunna take it as a compliment either way 😏🤣 The reds will take centre stage soon - I worry about my fics being tooooo red sometimes. They are my favourites to write, but I do love the greens - struggle with the blues (but that doesn't mean I don't love them) - but gave myself a little personal goal to try & write them better/more in my Choices/Prophecy fics. I'll do my very best to get chapter 8 up within the month 🫶

Chapter 7: ‘I still have feelings’ snippet 

Bubbles’ blonde brow arched, and she nodded firmly. “Okay. Okay, fine. We’re doing this. I know you’re not being completely honest with me about something, Boomer Jojo.” He swallowed hard, half enjoying her firm tone and half feeling fearful of it. “I haven’t been completely honest with you about something, either. And now, that’s going to change.”

The blonde ruff blinked in confusion. “What? Bubbles what do you -” 

She put her hand up to stop him from speaking. “I’ll be back in a minute.” 

With that, she left the apartment. After a couple seconds of stunned silence, the five remaining teenagers made a beeline to the balcony to try and see what the hell was going on.

They immediately spotted the blue puff to the side of the apartment building, crouched down by a dumpster. They had to crane their necks and hover to see her around the corner and in the dim light of the evening.

“Bubbles! What are you doing?! Come back up here so we can talk!” Boomer called down to her, but she ignored him.

“Err, is she in the trash?” Butch asked. 

“Umm, yup. It looks like she’s in the trash. And uhh -” Buttercup paused briefly for confirmation. She could hear her sister squeaking. “Yup.” 

“Oh no.” Blossom groaned, covering her mouth with her hand. 

“What?” Boomer asked, panic rising in him. 

“She’s really not told you about this?” Buttercup questioned the extremely confused blue ruff.

“What? About what?!” 

“Yeesh.” Buttercup muttered. “This’ll be fun.” 

“Oh no,” Blossom groaned as she watched her sister open her hands and allow a small grey rat to hop onto them. “Bubbles not a rat. Something else, not a rat.”  

“She’s got a rat?!” Boomer asked. “What the hell is going on?!”

The past couple months have been tough personally and whilst I've wished I could write I just haven't been able to.. Prophecy I'm aiming to update this week - potentially today if work permits. I have no idea with Break The Cycle, as I had half written the next chapter and it's disappeared off my laptop 🥲 So I need to start that one from scratch. Well, this was a switch. First, I read Break the Cycle and was like, 'OH NO THE PROFESSOR', but then I read Prophecy, and now I’m like, ‘WTF PROFESSOR!’😱🤯🫢

Esmé is probably some type of villain like Sedusa because it seems like every time she touches or looks at someone seductively, they seem to be under a spell of hers and start treating her nicely and doing everything she says.

And now she’s after Buttercup because she likes Butch… When I read the part with Esmé and Butch, I was like, ‘BUTCH SNAP OUT OF IT AND DO SOMETHING!’ Because, oh boy what Esmé was doing was INAPPROPRIATE the questions she was asking and also touching Butch inappropriately in front OF Buttercup as well. I thought Buttercup was going to do something when she saw Butch and Esmé flirting, but instead she just stood there THEY just stood there and didn’t stop her! 😱

In the part when Esmé was secretly watching Butch and Buttercup in the room, I was hoping they would have caught her watching them, but they didn't. I was literally mad because she was RIGHT there on the FLOOR,but I was thinking that even if she did get caught, she could use her spell or something on them and probably get away with it.

And the Professor! What the hell happened to him? First he was ok with The girls dating the Rowdyruff boys and literally had a crush on Professor Winter, but now he’s being a complete JERK to both of them!

Poor Blossom I hope she never runs into Melvin. I thought he had learned his lesson now to not go near Blossom, but I guess he didn’t.

Both chapters on Break The Cycle and Prophecy are really amazing but are both disturbing, especially with the Professor; it took me from ‘OH NO THE PROFESSOR!’ to ‘WTF PROFESSOR!’. Besides that, both are really good. Excellent job 👌🏾!! I can’t wait for the new chapters of Prophecy and Break The Cycle to be out! I hope you update them soon.❤️🙏🏾

Now I have to think about what’s going to happen next in the new chapters until they come out 😭

You know what when I posted this chapter it did occur to me that readers of both Prophecy and Break The Cycle would have some whiplash over the Professor - my bad 😅🤣

Holy shit!!! First, Break The Cycle and now this chapter!!! 😱😱😭😭 My heart wasn't ready for all this angst!!! 💔

Esmé is.... she is not Sedusa... she is... SHE'S A DEMON! Yes, a female demon! A succubus! No! An evil succubus!!!! That what she is! She works for HIM!

And she's after Butch now... Good God! That scene was disturbing when she was INAPPROPRIATELY touching him! And both Butch AND Buttercup stood there and didn't stop her!!!

And the Professor! The hell?! He was an ASS to both Professor Winter and Blossom!

And oh my God! Freaking Melvin's letters!!! Seriously, it's a good thing you closed the chapter on the Reds flirting. Otherwise, I don't think my poor heart could handle it! xD

This chapter was somehow more disturbing than Breaking the Cycle's chapter. Seriously, Madamefist, well done!!! I have to praise you again for your wonderful writing!!! You made me both excited and fearful of what will happen in the next chapter! I really can't wait to read it! I really hope you update it sooner this time! 🙏🏻

But now... I... I think I need to collect my thoughts first before I give this chapter a second read/review and ask you questions.

I think I need fluff. Yeah... maybe I will go back to read the "Ice World" chapter again. Yeah, I think I will do that. Fluff is good... Angst is bad! xD Talk to you later.

Chapter 6: ‘A promise is a promise’ snippet 

“Whaddup Rowdyruffs.”

Butch, Brick and Boomer turned in the direction of the greeting; Kim and Mike were walking over to them as they waited outside the main entrance of Townsville High.

“Hey.” Boomer replied as they huddled closer to them; it was lightly raining and Mike had an umbrella. “Just waiting for the girls. The Professor is giving them a ride this morning.”

“Ohh, does this mean we’ll get to see his new beau?” Kim asked eagerly. “Butch said she’s drop dead gorgeous.”

Brick cranked a brow at his brother, who looked defensive. “Tell me I’m wrong?”

“I guess you will get to see her if she’s with him.” Boomer answered, both of them ignoring Butch.

“She’s always with him.” Brick said, spying the Professor’s station wagon pulling into the car lot.

“Yo you’re right. I don’t think I’ve seen him not with her since her grand entrance a couple weeks ago.” Boomer murmured, brow furrowed.

“She’s keen then, huh?” Mike queried.

“She’s something all right.” Brick muttered, frowning - it didn’t sound like it was a compliment.

“I don’t feel like I have to clench my butt from nerves so much when I’m around the Professor since he got with her, so she’s had some benefits.” Boomer added, making all but Brick chuckle.

“Have there been any negatives?” Mike pressed, detecting some negativity from Brick that he wasn’t sure if it was directly related to Esmé or if it was just Brick being Brick. It could have been either/or really. 

“There’s something off about her.” Brick replied. “I can’t put my finger on it.”

Hi, I just finished reading Chapter 13 of Break The Cycle. It was good but heartbreaking at the same time. I was literally crying

Jay is so brave for looking after his cousins and sisters in such a devastating time and putting on a show for them that everything was ok, but he was also being a jerk when he was trashing his room and shouting at Buttercup and Butch though.

Blossom is so strong for keeping it together while watching her father pass away and helping the other doctors clean him up they seriously need to give her an award for that.

It’s so sad that the professor won’t be able to see the day Blossom and Buttercup get married and his grandkids grow up, but at least he will be watching them in heaven.

As sad as this chapter was, I can’t wait for chapter 14, and at least we still have the professor in the next chapter for Prophecy.

Hi madamefist I just finished reading Chapter 13 of Break The Cycle. It’s really good but devastating.

Jay was being a scumbag for ruining his bedroom and for being rude to his parents because he didn’t really know much about when he was born, but it was also reasonable.

If it’s not too much, could you write a short story about what happened when Buttercup found out she was pregnant with Jay and what happened when she gave birth to him?

So I haven't written a story about that time period per say - however I don't know if you've ever read Collateral Damage? It's on my AO3 & ff.net. It's basically a short little novella solely about Butch, Buttercup, Mitch & Jay. Jay is 5 or so months old, I do believe. So if you've not read that you might like the small amount of insight it provides.

I won't say no to writing about the specific time that you requested though. It's definitely something I could see me doing in the future - probably when I'm supposed to be writing other things 🤣
