We’ve decided that we are gonna move to another art blog yet again. I just don’t like some of the art I have on my current one, and we know we can just delete it. It’s just that we feel that art blog doesn’t reflect who we want to be.

What we mean by that is we have been a struggling artist for years. We want attention, validation, to make others happy, and inspire others. It felt like we weren’t living up to our expectations, as much as we see in other artists.

We also use to push ourselves to draw for certain fandoms, or what was trending in fandoms we like for the hope of having more support. Other times we pushed ourselves to find a “art style.” It just ended up making us not like those pieces as much, nor were they fun to make admittedly.

Lately I feel that we have grown to like our art some more. It’s nice to be able to have some validation within ourselves, and we hope that we can get even better at that. Making art recently has also been feeling more freeing, exciting, and we have been able to be more self indulgent.

I guess in the end all I want is an art blog I feel more happy with, one that feels more like me.

I’ll eventually make a post with a link to the new art blog, it will still have some of my art from the previous blog. Those pieces being ones we still like, have personal connections with, and genuinely had nice memories while making it.

Made a new icon for myself based off DECO*27 Vampire cover, and made my own vampire lesbian flag as the back ground 🦇

The purple represents mystery and magic, magenta represents love and passion, white is meant to represent vampire gender, amaranth is for immortality, and blood red is the blood of transphobes and homophobes!

Literally based on Ranma 1/2 5th ending Poppy Flower

Originally inspired by my boyfriend who made a Sonadow piece of another Ranma ½ ending. I'd highly recommend seeing! It's crazy gorgeous! 💖

Redraw of this one we did a couple of months ago.

I deleted it because I was really dissatisfied with it, and I was trying way too hard to come up with a unique style of the characters. Which is funny because I’d say the background had the opposite problem, and I was sticking too close to the book. At least in the end it ended up teaching me some important lessons in the long run, and I was able to recreate it into something I’m much more happier with. We feel like we naturally found a way of drawing the Sonic characters in a way I find appealing, and actually enjoy.

No rude comments, or criticisms of the old piece. If you can’t follow that boundary we set up, you will be blocked.
