THE PRANK RANT

you guys use the prank as an excuse to make remus a horrible person…as if him being mad and ignoring sirius is completely unreasonable. i personally hate it when people write remus saying awful things to sirius and sirius then having a breakdown and getting sympathy from readers despite not actually realising what he did was really wrong. and then remus ends up apologising because sirius is too distraught like what????? remus should not be treated as irrational because he feels betrayed- and sirius should be able to make mistakes and come to his own realisation that what he did was wrong.

to me sirius doing something like the prank and then immediately being wracked with guilt and remorse so bad he has a break down doesn’t really make sense together?it just doesn’t make sense to me. the books show that sirius never really felt guilt for it and is a very strong willed and opiniated character. let him have depth!!!!!!!!

people excusing sirius annoys me soooo much too. remus forgave him and in the books they express that they moved on and don’t care about it anymore! sirius doesn’t show guilt or remorse because he still hates snape. the prank is like one of 3 canon events we have details about for the marauders, if sirius was forced to tell snape it would have been mentioned.
