Blood and Roses (book cover)

Finallyyyy!! I can finally post this!! :D

So! I know this isn't my usual thing, but the reason I haven't been so active lately is because I've been working on this cover for 'Blood and Roses', a short story you can get FOR FREE on ko-fi.com/statzori/shop The story is loosely based on the Catalan legend of St. George, so go give it a try if you enjoy fairy tale vibes with a twist!

Now, for the drawing itself, I have to sayt I really enjoyed working on it, even when it's not what I'd usually make. I had a lot of fun with the sword, and the sky, and the lighting (which I was also afraid of messing up the entire time). Also, my deepest respects for people who regularly do coloured lineart, I tried it here for the first time and won't be doing it again soon (it looks cool, but it takes forever xD)

[Ebis] looked around, beaming, at a loss for words. When she turned to Marcus, she found him beaming as well, although rather than looking at the landscape, he was looking at her.

Ebis felt her cheeks warm, and slid her eyes away briefly before walking back in front of him, taking one of his hands between her own with enthusiasm. “We did it.”

Marcus nodded, still smiling. “We did.”

So! Against my better judgement, I've done yet another short comic, this time featuring my lovelies Ebis and Marcus, in the final scene of my Submachine fic 'Lost in Infinity'. I just love them so much, as I do the trope of a character looking at a beautiful landscape while the other looks beautifully at them, it's all very ashgdfgdf ❤️

Now if you'll excuse me, I'll go to work on something that isn't a comic xD

Yasss, I can finally post this! I had this done for like. a month (the muses visited me early with this idea xD)

Anyway, I did the version with the trans flag first and then thought I'd also do one with the enby flag since that's the label I made my home in ...you can bet I'll be recycling this for nonbinary visibility day too (where I may or may not get more talkative about stuff as well). For now, let me just give a big shoutout to my trans siblings: you're seen, you're valid, you're loved, and you are enough, let no one convince you otherwise ❤️

TMAGP main cast

So! I've been sketching the charas from Magnus Protocol as I listen to the new episode each week (because I can't listen to podcasts unless my hands are busy with something) and I figured I would share them :3

All designs are subject to change as we learn more about the characters. Also, I am aware Teddy is missing, but I stated sketching on ep2 and since he only appeared in ep1 I don't have a clear mental image for him yet, maybe I'll add him in the future ^^

Also also, I have some silly headcanons that have nothing to do with the plot (I'll leave the red yarn for another post), so if you want to check see under the cut xD

-Alice has dyed, bleached, and re-dyed her hair so many times nobody remembers what her actual hair color is anymore. She always wears colourful clothes and pride merch (glowing beacon at the mostly neutral clothes wearers at work).

-Sam has the fluffiest hair ever this is not negotiable if we are told he has straight hair I will cry.

-Colin hasn't had a decent night of sleep in for-fucking-ever, like, he doesn't even remember if you ask. He wears dark and black checkered shirts exclusively because I say so.

-Lena must look Very Professional TM at all times in all situations, both in clothing and demeanaour.

-Gwen… I actually don't have any headcanons for her yet, sorry girl 😅

-Celia knows how to style her hair in a variety of ways (this is totally not because I struggled to pick a hairstyle for her).

The Pirate and the Fortune Teller

I assumed my destiny and made a proper introduction for these two xD So! Officially meet Kjell (aka Rowan) and Minh! My newest OCs, precious T4T couple with rivalry dynamic, bless them I love them ❤️

Anyway, I'm pretty happy with how their designs came out? I wasn't planning to have them be OCs when I first drew them at the art class/meeting, but then again I should have known better than to make one of them a pirate if I didn't want to add more OCs to the collection, lmao.

Ahh, well, I hope I can make at least a few drawings about them, but no promises as to when that will be (my focus has been all over the place lately and I'm STRUGGLING about it 🥲).

So I hear you're up to talk about your OCs kinks... 👀 I'd like to know about (you'll never guess) Ebiscus :3

Thanks for giving me the opportunity to infodump about this because I have actually been thinking about this for a while xD

Okay, so, before I start, there's two things I should mention about Marcus. The first, that he's ace with a generally low libido, but that doesn't mean he can't enjoy sex under certain circumstances. The second, that, for him, sex is a deeply intimate act, an expression of love and devotion to his partner, so he's not up for casual sex/hook ups; if he has sex it will be with someone he loves deeply and he will pour his soul into it.

With that said! Marcus is into giving body worship. He's gentle and slow and thorough with it, not really fixating on any body part in specific, but just starting with a kiss on the lips and slowly working his way down from there. He might not feel sexual attraction, but he likes to show he can and does enjoy his partner's body in other ways (he absolutely loves Ebis and her soft body and definitely lets her know, and the guy has always been better at actions than words).

As for being on the receiving end, I don't think that's something Marcus is usually comfortable with, save for one exception: sensory play. He enjoys being blindfolded and engaging on his other senses while Ebis takes the lead, playing with gentle touches, temperature, flavours... they make a game -kind of a challenge- out of it, and this way Marcus is able to focus on his body sensations in a way that doesn't stress him out.

Let me reference that one tumblr post that compared aceness to food to clarify. If hunger (the urge in general) is libido, and appetite (the craving for something specific) is sexual attraction, Marcus is a guy who is rarely hungry and even when he is, he doesn't have an appetite. He still enjoys cooking for Ebis though, because she does experience hunger and appetite and enjoys the food, and Marcus finds pleasure in her enjoyment. However, having Ebis cook for him is. awkward, because of the lack of appetite and often lack of hunger he's too self-conscious to actually enjoy the meal when the focus is on him. Unless!! It's a blind tasting game, and the focus isn't really on how's he enjoying the meal but can he correctly guess what's in it? Which ironically lets him enjoy the food better.

Does that even make sense? Am I taking the comparisons too far? It makes sense in my head but I'm not a good touchstone.

Now, about Ebis. I have to confess I haven't thought about her side of things as much xD I mean, she obviously is into body worship and sensory play -and I think she might be particularly proud of having found a way in which she can be on the giving side of things and Marcus can be comfortable with it- but aside from that? I'm not sure, but I think, if anything, she's more willing to try stuff out. Aside from that, I guess something she is not into would be real pain and/or restraints: that brings bad feelings/memories even if she was never literally restrained and is in a safe place now.

Oh, and since I mentioned Marcus being ace, I should probably mention Ebis is bi, which doesn't play a role in how she experiences sex/kink as Marcus aceness does but there you go. Free info for you xD

Okay, new ask game, ask me about anyone and I'll try to answer xD

Genuinely I think one of the best things you can do to build characters in your story is give them a kink. You do not have to put that kink in the story. You do not have to tell anyone but yourself. But thinking about their wants and needs and what would bring them comfort or desire, about whether they crave power or crave a situation where they're blessedly free from any power, about which taboo they might kind of want to cross, is really useful for getting inside their head. Also "what situation would make my character stupid horny enough to make a terrible mistake?" is a good plotting device. "It's a plot hole that they made that dumb decision" no they were just whistling like a lustful kettle and forgot to turn their brain on.
