My Heart, My Light, My Other Half

From concept to finish, another big piece done! With this piece in particular I wanted to make a mildly abstract visualiztion of the bond between an MAI and their human comrade - specifically with an Ampere, the love that is felt between balun and dynamo is equally felt and expressed as a love of the self as much as it is a love for their other half. I wanted to try and evoke the thought of that warm feeling you get in your chest when you look at someone or something you care deeply for, how sometimes it feels like your heart is ready to explode out of your chest

OOOHHHhhh it appears as though I'm getting back into thinking about AI that are physically bonded to humans again, but this time it's a little different! I've known for a while that it's kind of odd for the third world war to have wildly advanced AI in the large military hardware while everything else seemingly stayed the same, and I've been meaning to get around to tackling that inconsistency. If there's big robots that are super advanced, there should be some little guys too - meet the CoreAegis Serval 20mm, a B-class intelligence that takes the form of a heavy assault rifle with a motorized armature and load-bearing exoskeleton.

They're still in the early stages of concept, but I'm positively enthralled by the concept of an autonomous gun that helps you aim and can be your buddy

Tell us more about graffi!

Ohh of course! Here's a general rundown for the unfamiliar, then I can get a little more into the specifics of his character:

Graffi Sasaki, as it currently stands in the lore, is the house sprite of Lazarus Sasaki (Graffi taking on Lazarus's last name is kind of equivalent to when a person gives their cat a human name, since he's a B-class AI). While Lazarus is busy with matters of law and political relations, Graffi is tasked with keeping their shared vessel well maintained, basically acting as head of janitorial. While Lazarus has free time, though, Graffi is more of a roommate/pet to him, and they treat each other like old friends. For how Graffi speaks, imagine Fantoccio from BBU's voice from older recordings, minus the theatrical sort of grandiose accent. As far as personality goes, he sounds and sort of acts like a real grouch sometimes, but if you get him onto a topic he likes, he practically 180's into a total goober.

OKAY MORE STUFF!

Graffi is actually one of my oldest ocs that still has a spotlight in the present day! I made him all the way back in middle school, which makes him about 10 or 11 years old! The big robot bug body was his first design, then the form that would eventually become the base for all house sprite projections stemmed from the time I toyed around with the thought of him being a computer virus. There were actually two other big robot bugs like him, but they only survived into the beginning of Livastia lore with minor visual references. His looks are actually a reference to a certain animated movie from around the era of his creation - although now he has a more original design, it was pretty evident who he was inspired by when I first made him ooooops
