Two-part Drabble Game

I decided to make another two-part drabble game because the last one was a lot of fun to make and write.

Pick a character, a situation, and a sentence, and I’ll make a drabble out of it.

Situations:

1 - Roommates AU 2 - Stuck indoors on a rainy day 3 - The aftermath of a bad fight 4 - At a bar 5 - Home after the hospital 6 - In bed at 2am, blissfully drowsy 7 - The anniversary of something 8 - After working for six hours straight 9 - Settling in for a cozy night together 10 - After a near-death experience 11 - Soulmates AU 12 - Finally home after a hard day 13 - Someone does something stupid 14 - Stuck together for a long period of time 15 - Someone is jealous/hurt 16 - After their first date 17 - One is recovering from a wound/illness 18 - Someone’s birthday 19 - Comforting the other 20 - Both are drunk and happy 21 - Spending a holiday together 22 - Jealous 23 - Miserable/in a bad mood 24 - Right before a passionate/first kiss 25 - Being somewhere you’re not supposed to be 26 - A very cheesy date 27 - Seeing each other for the first time in a while 28 - Love confession 29 - Breaking up 30 - One person is scolding the other 31 - Lost in the middle of nowhere 32 - Date night gone wrong

you all know i hate getting sappy on main (spoiler: i do not) but i legitimately never thought it would reach 500 followers, let alone 2,000 of you. it's insane to me. blows my mind. i think i say that every time i reach a milestone but it's so, so true. every day i am super thankful for each and every one of you who decides to stay and interact and engage with my little blog where i write like, one fic a month and shitpost multiple times a day 😂

i always feel like i'm not the typical fanfiction writer, not one that gets popular at least, so seeing how many people love my work truly makes me so happy. you guys know that all i ever want to do is write to make people happy and write stories where people who look like me are represented. i put a lot of my own truths, my own story, and my own insecurities into my writing and it always resonates with you guys - something that i appreciate. knowing that, i have put together a little challenge for you guys, and i am looking forward to seeing everyone participate!

the challenge

in this challenge, i am asking you to be bold. to be fearless. to be uniquely and loudly and wholly you. i've always thought that writing is the best way to be honest, because in writing fiction, we're all just using lies to tell the truth. many of my fics feature plus-sized reader characters who have insecurities, but face their fears and embrace who they are and what they have to gain confidence in themselves. these are my little truths that i tell in the lies of fic - that my insecurities exist.

i am challenging you to write a fic that explores an insecurity of yours. i want you to write something that represents you, faces your fear, and leaves you with confidence. are you a plus-sized person? write a plus-sized reader who finds their confidence in a new outfit! are you an asian person? write an asian reader who teaches their partner a new facet of their culture! are you a tall person? write a tall reader who is given the confidence to wear their heels in public!

these are just simple examples, but i hope that you can find what represents you, and i hope that you can be bold and fearless enough to show the world that you are unapologetically you. we all need our comfort characters, and sometimes we need our comfort characters to tell us that we deserve the world.

so write it, 'cause you deserve the world.

Requests are open! 

I figured I’d throw out a couple of things to make sending in requests easier (not that I ever get requests but I digress) 

I mostly write for Steve Rogers, Bucky Barnes and Andy Barber. If you send someone else in, I’ll let you know if I’m feeling it but for the most part, those are my mains. 

I love AU’s. Reading them, writing them- love them.

You wiped your hands on the black gown currently covering your clothes. You stood with the rest of your row and slowly shuffled towards the side of the stage. In just a few moments, your college experience would be over. All the late nights and cram sessions would be done and for that you were grateful. But you would miss the group of friends you had made, the ones who made those late nights bearable. 

You took a deep breath as you ascended the stairs towards the podium where the Dean of Students was reading out names. Yours was called and you walked across the stage, hearing a whistle that could only belong to one man. Bucky Barnes. 

You had met Bucky two years ago when you were a sophomore and he was finishing up his apprenticeship at a local tattoo shop. He was friends with Steve, a senior you had befriended through an art elective. You and Bucky had met at a party and the rest was history. Once Bucky had finished his apprenticeship, he worked at opening his own shop and he finally took his first appointment six months ago. Bucky was the one responsible for the black ink over your ribs, a simple bushel of wildflowers.

Looking up from your phone, you glanced up and down the busy city street. Your new apartment building should be right in front of you. Instead, all you saw was an empty lot. You tried to get the attention of someone passing by but you didn’t have any luck. You groaned and threw your head back. 

“It is not humanly possible for one person to have this many things go wrong in one day!” you shouted to the sky, unconcerned with any looks you were getting. 

“Excuse me, miss?” a voice questioned. 

Your head snapped back down and you came face to face with a pair of stunning blue eyes and a kind smile.

“You look like you could use some help,” he continued. 

“I could,” you mumbled, eyeing the stranger suspiciously. “Everyone else has ignored my pleas for help. What are you up to?”
