The single most important advice that I can give to someone - learn a new language. It just opens up so many possibilities. You will discover new places, listen to new music, meet amazing people, taste new cuisine, and many more. It also gives you a very important skill that could help you in whatever career you choose/chose.

This is only a small thing but it really made me proud, I was buying paninis and I suddenly theorised that panini meant ‘little bread’ in Italian, thinking about it more I also guessed that the word was plural, later I looked it up to see if I was correct and I was, it really made me confident that I could study linguistics in uni because it made me aware that I was beginning to be able to put my knowledge of languages together and use them in a day to day situation.

The main reason I love it is because of the concept and accessibility, it is simplistic because L.L Zamenhof wanted people to learn it, he wanted people from different cultures to speak, it makes international culture (admittedly it’s easier for European language speakers to mix than non-European language speakers to mix) more accessible and in my mind I can't see how that could be a bad thing. Also surely is the perfect time (speaking at a Brit) to unite Europe?
