Had my 2nd #DEXAScan today which actually failed but I knew that. A lot of changes happened in the last 10 weeks and although I'm not going to offer excuses, I walked away a lesson and perhaps even more insight of my own character when failing. I lost 28gm of muscle (which surprised me I expected to lose more) and gained 3.5kg (approx. 9lbs) which DIDN'T surprise me at all. Some lessons I took away: • IT'S AN EXPERIMENT not an exam! - I'm a perfectionist and at first was so disappointed with myself. I didn't want to have the scan because I didn't want "facts" to tell me that. However, I had the ability to change how I thought about myself and look at this whole experience from a new perspective. That yes, this is what happens to my body when I don't take the time to take care of myself. • RESET YOUR BODY PROGRAM. Listen to your body! - I know nothing new but it isn't when you actually reach that point that you finally understand what it means. For me it wasn't forced - more of a gentle adjustment. I ❤️ my new job but I sit on my butt all day. Work 9 to 5 (Goodbye night shift and sleep ins) I noticed the times I wanted to go to the gym (9am/10am) was when I was at work. My body was programmed on the old schedule. It took a lot of adjustment but around week 8 my body wanted so much to #LIFT but my head was telling me it was tired. However in Wk9 I decided I'll go for walks. Nothing like power walking. Just strolls and my body was ecstatic that I was finally putting it to work. • MOTIVATED BY FAILURE. For the first time in my life I'm motivated by my failure. Not motivated by revenge because I was only competing with myself. I'm competitive and all my life I've always hated "losing". I've had insight on how I handle change (not that great! Failed miserably!), what do I do when things are out of my control (Failed miserably because I'm a control freak!), how do I take care of myself when I'm too busy wanting take care of others and pleasing them (yeah you guessed it I FAILED). However, the result of failing opened my eyes and created a perspective of opportunity. So here's to the journey! ✌🏽️😃

#BeautifulUncertainty by Mandy Hale #TheSingleWoman.
There’s something so enlightening about this book and for a moment I feel like she’s talking about me. This book is renewing my mind to chase Him and not…well “him” 😁.
Lord I’m willing giving you my pen so you can write my story because the version I’m writing I’ve scrapped so many chapters and now have “writers block” because it makes no sense or it just ends up being a real mess *several ink blotches found on page…*

Received @mattredmanmusic Music Book from a congregation member of my church today! Looking forward to leading worship next year with some new songs. We're a small church but we've been blessed with musicians of all levels and God has definitely given us the gift of being able to work with what we've been blessed with! We have people willing to learn an instrument or sing and this year we welcomed a 10 year old drummer who's been learning to play for a few years into the music team. He's been a blessing to the music team! He's brother is our bass player and he's only 13. I'm just thankful that although they may be young they want to serve!! Praying that next year my co-ordinating skills will improve lol 😁 and although I didn't want the position, I've found that I actually love it! Because I love those moments when I'm playing or singing and my heart just fills with such love for the God we serve. Psalm 69:30 "I want to praise the name of God with a song. I want to praise its greatness with a song of thanksgiving." #WorshipMusic #ChristianMusic #Church #God #Praise #Worship #WorshipLeader #SingANewSong #WorshipTeam

Credit Post: @quitewomenco This just reminded me of the times I was secure in the person I was and it was the moments in my life when I was fully dependent on God despite hurdles I would face. There's great comfort in knowing that God restores the spirit of the broken-hearted. I really want to see that girl full of zeal for the Lord again! #Liveitandbeit Thank you to @quitewomenco for daily devotions and encouragement this year! And reminding me and many others of who we are in #Christ 😉❤️❤️

She Was Made With A Purpose Day 9/30
Be very careful, then, how you live—not as unwise but as wise, making the most of every opportunity, because the days are evil. - Ephesians 5:15 (NIV)
In Christ you find your purpose, and now that you know you have purpose in Him it should affect the way that you live. Make the most of every opportunity for Christ. Even when it comes to:
1. Relationships Whether you’re single or in a relationship, as you take the time to get to know someone, continue to remind yourself that you were made with a purpose. Even if you have to write it down and post it at your desk, or make it the wallpaper on your phone, remember who you are in Christ! Just because a guy has shown interest in you, that doesn’t automatically mean that he gets to consume all of your time. He needs to be intentional about you, knowing that you’re not just dating to be dating, but you’re on a mission to make the most out of to make the most of this life God has given you! If he’s not willing to respect that, then it might be time to seriously evaluate why you’re talking to/in a relationship with this person. So often times people end up getting into relationships where they are not being respected for fear that they are going to be alone or miss out on something. But when you are in Christ, you can’t let this be your motivation. Your motivation is to live for Him; to live a life of purpose where He is at the center. A life where you’re making the most of everything, including your relationship and not taking any moment for granted!
2. Work and School Whether you absolutely love what you do when you get out of bed in the morning or it’s quite the opposite, keep in mind that your purpose isn’t fulfilled when you finally become a supervisor or when you finally make it to graduation. Because of Jesus, your purpose is so much bigger! So keep your head up as you walk into school or into class knowing that you’re not just there to clock in and get work done. You’re there to make the most of every opportunity, as a wise young woman who is diligently seeking God in everything she does!

She Was Made With A Purpose Day 6/30
For the entire law is fulfilled in keeping this one command: “Love your neighbor as yourself.” - Galatians 5:14 (NIV)
Love is a very important part of fulfilling our purpose. After all, it is God’s love through Jesus Christ that GIVES us purpose. Love has to be our priority. We have to take the time to focus our attention on what it means to love those around us on a daily basis.
If we’re truly honest, this can be easier said than done. So often times, we don’t even realize that we’ve put our schedules or our priorities before others. Sometimes, we even put our own pain and hurt before others. If you’ve ever had your heart broken or you’ve ever been taken advantage of, it can become hard to open up your heart. Instead of freely loving others, you put up walls just so you can try to avoid being hurt or getting taken advantage of again. As a result, you can end up becoming so focused on protecting yourself from getting hurt that you overlook those around you.
But that’s not how we are to live as followers of Christ. We are not live in that kind of fear. Through Him, there is freedom to live a life where you are free to “love your neighbor as yourself.” And the beautiful thing about it is that you are not meant to do it alone. As we see in today’s passage in Galatians 5, now that we have a relationship with Christ, we are to walk in the Spirit. He is the one who strengthens us and guides us when we feel like we’re too broken to love others or too busy or too tired. This is what God wants you to know! You are not meant to do this alone.
In the Old Testament, this Word of God comes as beautiful, comforting truth to the prophet Zechariah in regards to Zerubbabel rebuilding the temple: “Your strength and prowess will not be enough to finish My temple, but My Spirit will be.” (Zechariah 4:6). So no matter how weak or tired you feel at times, don’t give up on loving others. Through His spirit, God will work through you so that you can love like Jesus. So make the time to love others because even when you don’t feel like you can do it, God is the One who will make it possible for you to do so!

Sometimes I wake up in the morning and feel the weight of my circumstances on my shoulders. I'm reminded again of 💔 and all you can think of is...I just need to get through this day. _________________________________ "Bless those who persecute you. Don't curse them; pray that God will bless them." ~ Romans 12:14 _________________________________ This verse doesn't mean to allow people to take advantage of you. It means to walk away, don't retaliate and just let God deal with it. But still ask God to prepare your heart to forgive. If God has nurtured the spiritual fruit of kindness in you, don't let it rot because people took advantage of it. If you're a person who has the spirit of kindness bearing fruit, ask for godly wisdom to know who deserves this. I don't ever want to stop being kind. I don't ever want to stop loving others due to life experiences. Nothing brings me great joy than to love and make others happy. I'm just learning that some people don't know what to do when I offer them the fruit of kindness with no conditions attached due to the fact it was never presented and served to them in this manner. I'll still continue to love them. I know that won't ever change. ________________________________ #Forgiveness #FruitOfTheSpirit #Kindness #BengalsJersey #Mornings #Love #LoveOthers #LoveAbundantly #Forgive #Peace #GodlyWisdom #LetGoAndLetGod #GodsLoveNeverFails #GodMoments #HeAnswersPrayers

Day 5/30 Search me, God, and know my heart; test me and know my anxious thoughts. - Psalm 139:23 (NIV) _________________________________ I needed this today. Sometimes the frustrations of life get the better of me, so I find myself at the gym for 2hrs - like today. Coming to the end of 2015, I find myself spending time re-evaluating all the things I've not accomplished this year or dreams and hopes for certain areas in your life to go according to YOUR own plan. I've suffered many disappointments this year but knowing He knows ALL my desires, all the pain, frustration and even joyful moments makes you realize that He's going to mix all these ingredients of life to make a carrot cake. The spice of love, the pinch of heartache, a cup of joyful moments, 1/4 teaspoon of the ending of relationships and 1/2 teaspoon of new relationships formed. The process is the baking. Sometimes that bit is the hardest, the furnace of life where struggle and suffering are present. A lot of the time we ask to be taken out of the process. But if we're taken out too early we only end up with a deflated cake, a person not fully complete and perhaps lacking in certain areas. But if we persevere and keep going during the "process" we'll become someone better than we were, lacking nothing. The aroma of the cake will draw others to your spirit. I'm still in the oven right now. But once I come out of it - I can be sure to say that I'll be a better woman than I was the year before. So right now, even if your heart is filled with anxiousness and is full of disappointments, call Him to fill the void and replace it with His peace. He already knows every day of your life which has been recorded in His book even before one of them has taken place (Psalm 139:16). ___________________________________ #Encouragement #LifeInTheMaking #HeKnowsThePlansHeHasForYou #GodsLoveNeverFails #KnowGodToKnowYourPurpose #LiveLifeWithAPurpose #WalkingWithHim #Faith #Love #Hope

I had my own little concert here (minus the Ben & Jerry's!) last night. Off to HiiT class to #SetFireToTheRain called "If Life Hands You Some Cows Make Burgers..." That makes absolutely no sense! Lol But things happen and you'll find yourself in situations which would cause you to question who you are. I'm still working that out but what I do know is the people that care for you wouldn't raise insecurities about you and your worth. Keep people in your life that lift you when life knocks you down. Now...hitting the gym. Best remedy for mending hearts lol

Would love for people to join me this November on practicing gratitude. @thedaydesigner has FREE downloadable template - "Daily Gratitude Journal" available. Click the link on their profile to print yours. ______________________________ I hope not to just do this for a month but do it always. Sometimes it takes just one small thing to turn your day into the worse day ever, forgetting the many other blessings that are right in front of you. Like today. I'm not in the job I want but I had a day off and I was thankful that I had spent the morning at the gym, took my niece to the park, enjoying the fantastic Sydney weather. ______________________________ 1 Thessalonians 5:18 (GW) "Whatever happens, give thanks, because it is God's will in Christ Jesus that you do this." ______________________________ #Thankful #Thanksgiving #Gratitude #30DayGratitudeChallenge #LiveABlessedLife

Repost: @quitewomenco She Was Made With A Purpose
Day 1/30 The Lord will fulfill His purpose for me; Your steadfast love, O Lord, endures forever. Do not forsake the work of Your hands. - Psalm 138:8 ______________________________ Sometimes different areas in our life don't turn out how we envisioned them to be and most of the time it's because we're only in the middle of the story. We end up asking if whether God has abandoned us or question the purpose of a relationship, life event or circumstance. A beautiful friend both in and out that I've only known such a short time listens to some of my negative outlook of situations in my life. However, her words of wisdom are like honey and her gentle approach in re-directing my thoughts to a more positive outlook on life is just want I need. As she would always put it "things always turn out the way they're suppose to....". And she's right! Our purpose and plan always turn out the way it's suppose to. God always finishes what He starts. Certain areas in life don't go to how WE plan it to be, but we know that it will always go according to how HE planned it all along. We can be certain that He's always in the centre of it and He's there waiting at the finish line. ______________________________ #FinishLine #GodsPurpose #Friendships #GodlyWisdom #Psalms #GodTalks #GodsTiming #LessonsInGodsGym #TrainingInGodsGym #Patiences #YourStory #PurposeDrivenLife #YourPurpose #GodSpeaksThroughPeople

TAG a friend and invite her to join us for the devotional this month! The theme is:
She Was Made With A Purpose Day 1/30
The Lord will fulfill his purpose for me; your steadfast love, O Lord, endures forever. Do not forsake the work of your hands. - Psalm 138:8
What is your purpose in life? For most of us (if not all of us) that’s a pretty big question.
IN the dictionary, purpose means: the reason for which something is done or created
When you think about your purpose, you might think of the things in life that you want to accomplish in order to do what you feel you have been called to do. Maybe you have no idea what “your purpose” is and you find yourself wondering if you’re studying the right thing in school or working at the right job. Wherever you fall on the spectrum, know that your purpose as a woman who follows Christ is not about finding the right job or vocation. Your purpose is found in your relationship with Jesus Christ. Our relationship with Jesus is what gives us access to God, Our Creator, who loved us enough to give us purpose!
As we see today’s passage, it’s God who fulfills His purpose for us. Not our occupations, not who we marry, or what we study in college. Yes, these things are all apart of our lives and God can use these things to bless us and yes, God has given each of gifts we can use on this earth to bring Him glory, but ultimately, He is the one ordering our steps day by day, leading us right where we need to be.
By knowing this, we have no reason to get anxious or worry when it comes to fulfilling our purpose on this earth because we know that God is the one who is fulfilling our purpose day by day! Even in the seemingly little moments when we feel like we’re not where we’re supposed to be or we’ve become uninterested or bored at work or in school. God is STILL fulfilling His purpose for us, allowing us to be steadfast in His love. So the next time you find yourself worrying and questioning what your purpose is, remember that it starts with knowing who you belong to, knowing that through your relationship with Jesus Christ, you have access to the most purpose-filled life!

One of my most favorite books in the bible and being part of the youth ministry team I'm so excited to be one of the leaders teaching a section of this series. • I've struggled to see hope in difficult times • Struggled with the messiness of love, relationship, being single, waiting on God's plan for me and understanding God's design for love and; • Lastly wanting to serve Him in such a big way, but I struggle with the fact He could use me. I want the youth to make decisions that are godly and not choices of this world. I want them to seek the Lord above all things, even seeking Him to help you wait for the one His chosen for you. If you do that, you can ALWAYS count on Him that He would give you the best person for you. Not perfect...always remember that is impossible to find. But He'll send you someone that will help you grow in faith and draw you closer to #Elohim (God). And like any relationship. If you feel disconnected from God, remember He's already waiting for us at the half way mark. We just have to make the effort to meet Him there and continue striving for more intimacy. Once we put that relationship as first priority the rest will fall into place. I know that the one He's chosen for me is going to be so worth the wait. ______________________________ Ruth 3:10-11 Amplified Version (AMP) Then he said, “May you be blessed by the Lord, my daughter. You have made your last kindness better than the first; for you have not gone after young men, whether poor or rich. Now, my daughter, do not be afraid. I will do for you whatever you ask, since all my people in the city know that you are a woman of excellence." ______________________________ #SeekHimFirst #Ruth #WaitingOnGod #WaitingForMyBoaz #YouthMinistry #GodsLoveNeverFails #SingleLife #LearnToLoveWhereYouAre

This Sunday morning I was running late for church, woke up late because I went to sleep watching the #RugbyWorldCup2015 grand final #Wallabies vs #AllBlacks and of course went to sleep with sadness that my team lost. Late to band practice, feeling unprepared and then finding out that we're down a guitarist meant I had to lead. I thought "Great!! It's going to be so obvious when I've make a mistake...can't air guitar now!" 😁. I prayed that God would just help me with worship but most of all be able to encourage others in worshipping Him because I knew I didn't want to play with an unenthusiastic heart. I wanted to play wholeheartedly and sing with grateful ❤️. And as ALWAYS God answered and provided with so much more! Band went seamlessly and I enjoyed worship! In my weakness, I am made strong! I knew God did this and it had nothing to do with my own musicality or even my own ability. Nothing brings me more pleasure then knowing that He is in control even if circumstances or situations might overwhelm us. #GymTime to keep the Happy Sunday Spreading! ________________________________ Corinthians 12:8-10GOD’S WORD Translation (GW) I begged the Lord three times to take it away from me. But he told me: “My kindness[a] is all you need. My power is strongest when you are weak.” So I will brag even more about my weaknesses in order that Christ’s power will live in me. Therefore, I accept weakness, mistreatment, hardship, persecution, and difficulties suffered for Christ. It’s clear that when I’m weak, I’m strong.
