The Rookie & Castle AU

Imagine John Nolan secretly being Richard Castle, who either divorced Beckett or they didn’t get together at all, leaving New York to live a second Life.

Instead of Ben the House belongs to him, its one of the many Properties he has around the Country.

He doesn’t tell that to Lucy and Jackson though, he already feels like an outsider, no need for them to know he's a millionaire too.

Lucy and Jackson are mad suspicious, because their new friend, who allegedly has money Problems because of a failing Business always, without fail, treats them with food and coffee and presents.

Lucy is not so secretly a fan of his books and often rambles bout them - while Jackson is not interested at all Nolan always seems to know the whole entire plot of any Rick Castle book. They chalk it up to him being a fanboy for an author.

Gray and Captain Andersson know, thats why Wade doesn’t like him in the beginning, he thinks it's just another hobby for the famous writer who already worked with the NYPD for a long time.

It all comes to an end when a case reunites Castle/Nolan with his former family of the NYPD. All of midwilshire is surprised when their neueste officer suddenly gets hugged (and/or slapped) by two male detectives who just arrived in LA while another female detective watches nearby with a smile.

Fanfiction hot take:

I don’t like how some authors make everybody trans. Like, I get it, trans people are not represented enough in todays media (i would love some recs for good representation tho!) but there are sooo many fics where everybody is trans.

For some characters it fits better than others (e.g. Peter Parker) but for so many characters being trans just doesn’t fit their story, their background or just their personality!

Also, I personally notice that often the trans-aspect is just written into stories as

A. Means to fetishize/sexualize trans people

B. Device to fill a plot hole

And I think that trans people deserve real representation and not just random characters in fanficion written as trans.
