This is a very sad, sobering image.
This 17-year-old girl chose to die rather than accept Socialism and name her anti-Nazi associates in February of 1943. . Every kid in the USA should see this photo and be taught about this girl's fate and the choices she made.
Her answer to the Nazi Socialists who offered to free her and not hang her if she gave up the names of her fellow fighters was ~
"You will know them when they come to avenge me."
▪︎ First came economic collapse in the 1920's.
▪︎ Then came the rise of Socialism on a national model.
▪︎ Then began oppression of those deemed the cause of the economic collapse.
▪︎ Then the socialists banned personal firearms because the socialists intended to do something they feared the people would not want and would be willing to fight against.
▪︎ Then came the nooses.
There is a term the survivors used at the end.
"Nie Wieder" Never Again.
The term is still relevant today. The only difference between socialists today and socialists then is [WHAT] ?
We've seen how devastating a medical crisis can be even to a strong economy. Our economy teeters on the brink... We need to remember the lessons of HISTORY.
Seventeen-year-old Lepa Radić was a Bosnian Serb who fought with the partisans during WWII, but she never got to see the Nazis lose the war.
In February 1943, Lepa was captured. The Nazis tied a rope around her neck, but offered her a way out. All she had to do was reveal her comrades' and her leaders' identities.
Lepa responded: “You will know them when they come to avenge me.”
THIS is why we need HISTORY to live on and to leave it alone.

Citywest Shopping centre staff telling customers to remove face masks inside. Its Safe... ??!
So today was an adventure day, Since lock down the only time I leave my house is every other Wednesday to collect my Disability Allowance and grab some food that will last the 2 weeks for myself and my two parents who are in their 60’s. I went to Citywest shopping centre which as we know is a long narrow hallway with one entrance/exit. Social distancing stickers have been placed to keep people waiting apart, but as there are shops on both sides there is only the centre lane way to walk down. Because of this, I put latex gloves and a facemask on right before entering. I went to the Post office at the very end of the centre (which I have been a local of since they opened) to collect my Disability Allowance. When I got to the desk I gave my information and showed both sides of my card which has become normal since lock down. But this time the staff member asked me to remove my face mask. I replied that as I'm wearing gloves I cannot touch my face mask, and I do not feel comfortable removing any of my PPE inside this area, If you like I can provide a passport or any other information needed. The staff member replied ‘’I won't be giving you your money unless you remove your mask.’’ In this stage I express my concern with the current situation and remind her that wearing these was advised by the government. She replied that I just need to show her for a second, and it's safe to remove one side of the mask loop, just to show her real quick. I Declined.
After leaving the centre I went to ring the an post call centre to comment about the event that happened. They were very nice and explained that they normally have requirements for people to show their face to receive payments, But this was required before COVID19 and the situation we are in now makes things different. They should not have withheld my payments because I would not remove a face mask. DON’T LET PEOPLE BULLY YOU INTO RISKING YOUR LIFE. DON’T TAKE MEDICAL ADVICE FROM ANYONE WHO IS NOT LICENSED TO DO SO.
