The thing is minimalism isn't even that bad. You can achieve minimalism with character. It's the sterile pure white ultra minimalism of the 21st century that sucks. Mid century modernism is so beautiful and charming, the shapes are simple and unobtrusive, but the exposed timber and brick, the splashes of colour, the overall individual character of a well made mid century house is soooo good like look at these house and tell me this isn't minimalism done right?
