Last year’s hourly comics… I hope I can do some more this year 👀

good grief it took me over a month to finally finish my hourlies from this year but i did finish them!!!! watercolor on a weird accordion notebook i found in my paper stash. i bought myself some fun sparkly and color changing watercolors on etsy and tested the sparkles out for shiny fuecoco and the “ALEX!!!” panel, so, included a closeup of those at the end so you can see the sparples.

First attempt at using markers for outlines with watercolors on top. My takeaway is that this marker is too bright for it, but it’s a fun look! Character is Aster, who belongs to @paintbubbles and is also in the campaigb

Another watercolor campaigb character with color shift accents! This one is june, our halfling warlock who has a kraken patron. She swam into a trapped well to look for important treasure puzzle pieces for the party and discovered while she was down there that she can breathe underwater now. Cool!

Added multiple pictures to show how the color shift works. You really have to tilt the paper to see the effect. I thought it was a fun way to reveal the razor sharp wires that June cut up and navigated around on the way down!

Quick, what is your ideal breakfast?

Depends on if I have to make it or not! If someone else is making it and I can take my time, you cannot beat a traditional Japanese breakfast! This kind of thing:

If I gotta make it myself and I can take my time, I think it would probably be a big ol' brunch style thing with all my friends. Pancake or waffles or crepes with all the toppings, eggs, bacon, hash browns, etc.

...If it's a workday, though, I'm very boring. Honey nut bunches of oats and a cuppa earl grey ☕

At a craft market in kawaguchiko, I saw a booth selling absolutely adorable sashiko and leather working crafts. Like any sane person, instead of actually buying anything I went home and drew fanart 😭

I went to the hakata Kirby cafe and ordered too much food, including this parfait. It was so massive that I couldn’t finish it, but it was so cute 🥺 worth it

Tossed some shimmery sparple watercolors on top that didn’t translate too well in the photo but trust me when I say I tried to make this painting as cute as possible to do it justice ✨

My queue is empty as of now, so I’ll load it back up again with more old sketches and music and stuff once I’m back from my vacation. Thanks for waiting!

Hiked up mount yoshino a few days ago and did a quick little gloopy watercolor from near the top (~30 minutes of work). Right when I finished up, the light totally changed for golden hour so you’ll just have to trust me on the colors 😂

So many sakura blooming all at once!! It really brought the hills alive with color!!!
