Day 14 of the #1000wordsofsummer with @jamiattenberg is complete. And I am all caught up on words – including the 3 days I missed from vacation, and the one day where I was just too tired. Chapter 2 in Book 2 of #TheVaydeChronicles is “complete”, and Chapter 7 is mostly done.

Day 12 of the #1000wordsofsummer with @jamiattenberg is complete. I hit 1,031 words. I started a brand-new chapter (Chapter 7) in Book 2 of #TheVaydeChronicles and officially met two new characters we see more of later. I’ll likely return to Chapter 2 tomorrow. Maybe.

Day 10 of the #1000wordsofsummer is complete. I hit 1,106 words. “Finished” Chapter 5 of Book 2 of #TheVaydeChronicles and then went back and worked on a bit of Chapter 2 so I could visit this little guy. Tomorrow’s plan is to finish Chapter 2 and then Part 1 will be complete.

Day 9 of the #1000wordsofsummer with @jamiattenberg is complete. I hit 1,193 words on Chapter 5 of Book 2 of #TheVaydeChronicles . I knocked out the 1,000 word goal for the day, plus took care of the “missing” words from yesterday’s 1,000. I still have 3,000 words to make up for when I was on vacation. I’ll get there. I have plenty more to write.

Yesterday, I managed to write 810 words for the #1000wordsofsummer and complete the first very rough draft of #TheVaydeChronicles Book 2, Chapter 4.

Today, I've moved on to completing Chapter 5, with Beethoven's Moonlight Sonata as inspiration.

He is a family friend of the Vaydes, and enjoys spending his time with either Diana or Merlyn!

Si was so much fun to draw! I’m looking forwards to the other animals I’m going to have to draw in the future for The Vayde Chronicles!

Next up should be Yahmka, a Native American woman and friend of Diana’s! It’ll be great drawing a girl again after all the dudes I’ve drawn!

Alright! After an accidental little break, I’m back with @jmdain and her book series!

This is Jeremiah Vayde, Diana’s uncle and source of a lot of her troubles! He founded the nearby town of Terras, where he rules with an iron thumb. He was a lot of fun to draw, especially his clothes!

Next up is a special character - Si, the black wolf who frequents Vayde Manor!

Here’s the next character for @jmdain and her book series - Merlyn Vayde!

Even though he looks young enough to be her father, he is Diana’s grandfather, and has raised her along with Finn and Bear! He’s another of my favorite characters - he has a lot of wisdom to share, and has such a kind heart. The next character I’m going to be working on is probably going to be his son, Jeremiah - the antagonist to Diana’s story!

And here is the next character for @jmdain and her book The Lady of Terras - Bear!

He is half Native American, and was raised alongside Diana Vayde and Finn Calhoun ever since a traumatic event that happened during a festival held outside of Vayde Manor. Now, Bear is a quiet, reserved young man, who enjoys spending his time with the tribe of Native Americans who live across the lake nearby - especially a young woman named Flain! (I’m looking forwards to getting to her and her sister!)

And now onwards to drawing Merlyn Vayde, the man who raised Diana, Finn, and Bear!

So, last week I fell two workouts short of my plan, and got ZERO writing done. So, this week I've made modifications. Removed my evening casual mileage two nights a week so i can use those days to focus on book 2. My Monday-Friday lunch gym time is still in effect.Exercise 1 of 8 for the week complete. Leg day! Today's exercises were the same as last Monday, except 40sec sets instead of 16 reps per set. I used 8# weights for all...which is up from last week's 0-5#. My knees are still not happy, so I didnt squat/lunge very deep at all. And overall, the workout was quick. Bonus! I also ended up doing the workout in my home gym, because I forgot my gym clothes. 🤦‍♀️
