Book idea where it’s your classic “characters doing a fantasy quest” except one of the characters dies before the quest is complete, waking up in another world and realizing it was all a simulation. They re-enter the simulation (under a new identity, as their character is dead) with a new goal: kill all of their friends to wake them up.

Bonus, it’s written ‘sarcastic-narrator’ style, and the main character is generally really pissed off that their friends just won’t fucking die.
