What I love most about classic literature is how batshit insane most of it is. Heathcliff is a gremlin man who fortnite dances on his childhood crushes family lineage. Ishmael is a male manipulator who goes to the sea instead of therapy. Valjean bullied a child into giving him a quarter and then decided to become a better man. Journey to the Center of the Earth just has a random scene where they explore a sea cave and run into dinosaurs. Like most of this stuff could pass off as having been written by a Wattpad writer.
